You might not notice if you’re brushing too hard, but your DiamondClean 9000 will. If you need to ease up, the toothbrush will make a pulsing sound. It’s a heads-up to let your brush head do the work.

BrushSync automatic pairing

Smart brush heads ensure that you’re using the right mode and intensity for the best possible clean. When you are using the C3 Premium Plaque Control brush head, your DiamondClean 9000’s BrushSync technology will automatically sync your brush head with the White+ mode to help whiten your teeth.

Sonicare app

The DiamondClean 9000 gives you the guidance you need to improve and maintain healthy brushing habits in-between dentist check-ups. Built-in smart sensors let you know when you’re using too much pressure, and by connecting your brushing experience to the Sonicare app, a personalised Progress Report helps you stay on track to see how much you’ve improved over time.

I’ve used this brand before and also had it recommended by my dentist. My previous one lasted about 5 years and I’ve now upgraded. It’s easy to use, stays charged for a fortnight which is perfect for holidays and weekends away, and is really stylish. I love this brand

Great toothbrush but I think Philips missed a trick with the travel case and not making it a USB Charger.
Doesn’t detract from the job it does but it makes travelling a bit harder.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBeen using Philips toothbrushes for nearly 10 years now and I must say they are way better than oral b counterparts. Although the newer ones I have had have suffered from durability issues with the head breaking off. I am worried it will happen to this one, but to be honest these are so much better than oral b I would rather RMA one of these every few months.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic toothbrush

The toothbrush cleans beautifully. However mine had a fault and couldn’t charge properly. Phillips customer service was excellent. They responded very quickly, sent prepaid postage so I could return it and then replaced it with a new unit within a week. Buying online I often experience poor customer service. This is the gold standard.

Regularly drops connectivity with the phone app, so I’ve given up using the app (not that it adds much to the experience anyway). Love the design / colour of this toothbrush, not so sure about the provided heads, might revert back to other heads once these are exhausted. Also love that this is one of the Sonicare models with the Deep Clean setting.

For the last forty years, I have suffered from gingivitis. nothing has made any difference to it until this toothbrush. within a week of using ‘deep clean’ I was free of it.

1st off for the people that have complained about not having a uk plug, it has a uk plug, its the 2 pin shaver plug as thats all that can be used in a bathroom. But my biggest complaint is after having 3 sonicare brushes over the past 15 years why change the charger travel case for a cheap plastic case?

works perfectly, no issues. need an eu adapter due to the plug, but easily bought! super cute in the pink colour and best electric toothbrush I’ve ever used

Bought this after my Gen 3 broken it is a good toothbrush the variety of the settings is good and the sensitivity adjustment is good. The travel case is tragic and is not charging like the gen 3.
The bluetooth is neat but why do i have to manually connect it every time for it to log the data?! The battery is also worse then the Gen 3 which used to last at least a month if being used twice a day, this only lasts 2 weeks Dont pay full price for this it is not worth the mark up of 300 wait for the sales.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe power and feel of the sonicare brushes are second to none. I’ve tried others but they don’t get anywhere near the squeaky clean feeling these brushes provide me with. I drink a lot of tea and I’m sure my teeth would be orange if it wasn’t for these being as good as they are! They have a pretty much 2 week battery life, several different settings to personalise your brushing and a nice premium feel to the handle and brush. This has a new style charger (a puck type, so a flat bottom body/handle, if you hope to use an old charger or case). Some come with connected apps and brush head change reminders but that’s not something I’ve ever used. Yes they have reliability issues, which infuriates me because I’ve had sonicare brushes for about 10 years and they still have the same problems with internal components breaking. But I have never once had the slightest problem with getting it repaired or replaced under warranty, so I keep coming back. If a 1000 phone can’t last much more than 2-3 years, should I really expect my 120 toothbrush to do better?

Pros: best brushing ever, I find it gives me a much cleaner feeling post-brushing than the competition. And that’s what matters the most!
Cons: the small metal stick that protrudes from the body and to which the replacement brush is attached is a little fragile. Or rather the link to the body is. It can get wobbly and then the brushing becomes less effective. The carrying case is extremely cheap. It will protect the device but at that price, one would expect a more high-end design than this thin plastic case. Previous versions had a much better one.

This is just fabulous and Yes, worth every penny! I had high hopes for the price and it has really delivered, I am so impressed. It feels fab to use, leaves your teeth feeling amazing and it has worked miracles with removing the staining and brightening my teeth. Stain free and whiter!
    This toothbrush is worth it!!

My only huge gripe is the price of the replacement heads, they are not cheap…

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is my third sonicare in 15 years. This version feels a bit bulkier, and certainly has a stronger vibration.
Now that I’ve used it for a few weeks, I do like it.

This could’ve been me, but it didn’t notate what power source came with the unit. Being in the UK, and on the uk.co website, I ended up with a European power socket. So, be sure to check.

Also, the charging base has a clear plastic attachment that sits on top of the actual base in order for the toothbrush to charge. For some reason there’s not a click in, it’s two separate pieces. Slightly wobbly and a bit annoying when putting away when not in use.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis was a replacement and is one of the best toothbrushes I’ve had .My last Sonicare lasted 4 years and hopefully this will too .Gives a fantastic clean and teeth feel dentist fresh.

The one thing that was so disappointing was my last one came with a rechargeable travel case .. this comes with a CHEAP PLASTIC non chargeable case .. would have paid extra to have a rechargeable case

Would and have bought again, as the battery wore out of the first 9000 I had.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAlthough the product is amazing I didn’t realise the case wasn’t a USB charger. This was the main reason I chose this product as a gift. I have the model that came with a charging case.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLovely cleaning. Very poor battery life. Having to charge it every few days. Previous models have had a travelling case where you can charge the toothbrush directly but this one comes with a cheap plastic shell case.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersMoved from Oral B to this toothbrush. Overall the toothbrush is much nicer to use, and I think it gives a much better clean which surprised me. The app is very useful as it shows plenty of information plus toothbrush head life which is excellent. The battery life lasts a good two week using the brush twice a day for two minutes.
Two things that are a problem / should of been included. Firstly the travel case is just a plastic box, no USB connectivity, so I went on the Philips website and bought a USB travel case, registering the brush gave me 10 off, so that was 1/3 of the cost. Secondly and this is something I am keeping an eye on in case its a fault. When you finish brushing and put it down after a few seconds the brush’s LED’s go off. Every 4 or 5 days the brush doesn’t do this and seems to go into a demo mode, all LED’s flash in a sequence and the on switch sometimes takes two or three attempts to switch the brush on. When its in this state it also fails to connect to the app. After resetting the Bluetooth connectivity and reconnect to my phone the issue resolves itself and its fine again. Hopefully a firmware update soon will solve the issue. Other than that the brush is excellent.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have always been a sceptic of electric toothbrush, and thought it was a waste of effort and money. But boy was I proved wrong, and happily so. It cleans SO much better than normal brushes, it really is a you got to try it to believe it scenario. I can never go back now! This particular model is of high quality as you would expect from Philips, easy to use, I share this with my wife we just swap brush heads and it remembers our settings which associates with the brush head.

Impressed with cleaning job done by sonicare diamondclean 9000, my first electric toothbrush bought 2 months ago. Purchased as more forgiving of sub-optimal technique than manual brush. Also, pressure sensor alerts when brushing too hard. This alert pops up instantly on the app when brushing, plus the vibration pattern totally changes too. So can’t miss it. No need for traffic light handle like oral b io.

Battery life is a negative. I use it twice a day on standard 2 min clean mode. Low battery indicator starts blinking on the 6th day after charging and i charge it on 7th day. So I get a week from a full charge, but i haven’t let battery run totally flat yet.

Another negative is the cheap light plastic case that came with this. It’s not a charger case, so will have to bring charger base, etc when travelling.
