o tool to assembly the wall so not helpful. bucket when filled is too heavy for kids to lift. A little addition of a scope would be a good idea. Apart from that it’s great fun hours of playing. kids love i
Got this for my 3 year old grandson we had lots of fun putting it together and have had hours of fun playing with different water runs. At first some of the gutters kept coming out but when the wood got a bit wet all the bits were tight fitting
It’s ok but I thought it would have been bette
This is a solidly built large water wall which is very good quality with no rough edges.
It arrived flat packed and is easy to put together if you follow the instructions
It’s a lot of fun and my 3 year old and 8 year old grandchildren really enjoyed moving the shutes and playing with the water wall.
As it’s such a large item I decided to donate it to my 3 year olds school class as they have a water and sand play outside area. They were so pleased and the whole class have the opportunity to play with this regularly.
I think this is a well made quality water wall that is suitable for quite a few children to play with at the same time and will stand the test of time
Highly recommended
Excellent quality!
Easy to use and great for children!
Highly recommended it!
I would say more for 4+ as my 3year old daughter loved the water and watching the water flow down the through all the pipes and connects, but was not strong enough to lift bucket up to refill the upper tank.
The build and quality is very good and design does open up a lot of creativity and problem solving from a education point of view.
Looking forward to warmer and drier days so we can play more with the waterwall
My granddaughter loves watching the water cascade through all the different pieces. Each piece can be moved to create a new waterfall, and there are so many combinations you can make. Overall, a clever design, well-made sturdy wall and good quality parts. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It’s a lovely toy for little ones to enjoy and explore with water.
The box was smaller then expected and very compact.
The waterfall did need to be assemble which is easier then I explained it to be to build.
My son absolutely adores this and can’t wait for Warmer weather to hit so he can play with it with his friends daily.
I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it is and expected the wood to rot but it has been treated to be used with water so will last for years
It’s a good sturdy piece of equipment which will engage children to play
This is an ideal toy/something to play with in the summer in the garden. Every kid loves playing with water! And this just facilitates a wonderful idea of playing with it.
It was relatively easy to set up however the instructions were not clear. So I guess you need to be confident with putting something like this together without having the instructions as there’s quite a few things to do including a lot of screws to screw in. It says not to use power tools however, with that many screws if you know what you’re doing with a screwdriver(electric one) then I would probably recommend using one but just be careful not to damage the product.
I do think it’s a little bit on the pricey side for the quality of the product and that is the reason I have given it four stars instead of five. But it is a great time to play with and would make something great for the summer for the garde
This is fantastic for kids sensory play whilst improving their hand eye coordination and fine motor skills, there is so much the children can do with it- use water, sand, small toy cars ect. It was really easy to build and put together and once assembled is surprisingly sturdy, even heavy handed kids wont be able to push it straight over. Its weather proof so no worried about leaving it out in the garden however I did get a cover so the sun doesn’t fade the colours. Even young children can let their imagination take control with this as all the pipes/slides are really easy to attach and move around, but shorter children will find it difficult to reach the top pipes so would need help to pour the water/sand down. Considering the size of it and the amount of accessories that are included I think its reasonably priced, I know my kids will love playing with it in the summer and as its decent quality it should last a few years too.
This comes in a large box but well packaged. It’s self assembly with instructions to work with. The items such as water wheels, tippers and shutes can all be removed and replaced. These are a tad stiff currently but I’m hopeful they’ll ease with play and time. A good height for toddlers and sturdy. Can be used inside or outside albeit if using inside use a wipe clean waterproof mat as you’ll get some splashing. Good fun for the kids and encourages thinking/ creative play. Would happily recommend.
I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.
I will say now, my reason for 4* and not 5* is because one of the panels was damaged. There are 5 panels in all, each with 33 holes in. 4 of the panels were perfect, the holes were cut well and there were no damages, the last one was damaged and some of the holes weren’t as good quality as the rest of the panels. This didn’t effect the use of the panel though.
The water wall is brilliant, except for that one panel, everything seems good quality, it stands well and stays sturdy. The size is roughly 104.5cm tall, 86cm wide and 59cm deep.
You have a bucket, to collect all of the water and a barrel to pour the water in, which sits at the top of the water wall, this has a tap on it.
You have 4 yellow pipes and 4 green pipes, I think a couple more would of made it a bit better but there is enough to have a good play with I guess. You get 5 functioning features, 2 of which fit onto pipes. You get plenty of end caps, pipe holders, etc, so you can arrange it all in many ways.
Make sure the tap is screwed on properly and then you won’t have any leaks. You can get a high or low flow with this.
I think this is brilliant, the kids love it, they had so much fun with this, I’m glad I put it outside for them, as when I tested it in the bathroom, I made a good mess just by myself whilst having fun! I would recommend it, it does seem good quality, it’s a shame it got damaged on route, hopefully this is a one off!
I must say for play value this product excels — kids and water, what’s not to like? The child can design their own water run and interact with the spinners, screw and sprinklers. All the guttering and clips can be easily assembled by 3 years +.
Please note it would be hard for child under around 6 years to fill the tank with the bucket — adult assistance required.
However this is an expensive item and you would think build quality, design and instructions would be perfect; but this is not the case.
There are no pilot holes for the screws. Luckily, although the supplied screws are not self-drilling, they are sharp and did not cause any cracks. Pilot holes would have been especially welcome on the frame where the braces are fitted to avoid assembling to the wrong face.
A couple of the parts could have been more accurately put together.
The braces are made from wider wood than the uprights leaving a ridge.
The instructions are poor. It is hard to tell which way the base should be fixed. A detail should be included to address this.
Using the assembly order in the booklet means it is tediously difficult to attack the predrilled planks to the upright. The illustration clearly shows the nylon washer placed between the plank lugs and the uprights. It is very fiddly to keep it in place when you fit the bolts. In hindsight the planks should have been laid on a flat bench to facilitate simple assembly. If done the way the instructions show the statement “assemble loosely until all planks are attached, then tighten all bolts and nuts” should be added. As a product engineer I can see no purpose for the washers.
It states power tools should not be used for assembly; however, in my mind, it screams out for an electric screwdriver. As a professional, that is what I used!.
Once the frame is fully assembled a couple of more shortcomings can be found.
The tap fouls on the planks. With a bit of an effort it can be fully turned, but it is not ideal for tiny fingers.
All of the suggested layouts show the first gutter place level up to the tap. You cannot then attach an end piece and the water runs out.
I have raised the tank by 12 or so millimetres, this permits an end to be attached.
A fun and educational play set.
Large in size and rather weighty too so it have a sturdy solid structure, ideal for placement in a garden or play room with the intention of never moving it.
A child is fully able to manipulate the pieces on the wooden board and change the trajectory of the water in endless patterns.
It is the perfect gift for my water baby, she loves water and can play with it for hours in end.
Personally I would use it outdoors as it can get messy.
It is a unique piece of equipment that can certainly catch a.child’s attention for long periods over time.
Once the uprights are assembled the cross pieces cab be screwed on, these just use a nut and bolt, although I have some confusion with nylon washers as the instructions seem to show them going in-between the sections of wood and I found that a bit of a fiddle.
Once all that’s done all the plastic bits can be put in place and there are a few different ways as they show you in the instructions.
The one thing about this is it’s supposed to be educational and by that I guess they mean that children can swap things around and experiment with different ways to take the water flow, but I have to say when I was putting this together and had to remove some of he chutes as I had put them in the wrong place, I found it quite hard to pull them out the wood, they are just a push fit, so I would think it could be very hard for a young child to do it and may even manage to break a section in the process, so it might be up to an adult to help, maybe they might get easier with use.
This is quite a weighty item and feels quite solid, it’s not foldable and the only way to fold it up would be to unbolt all the cross sections then it can be put away for the winter months, then again it can just be left out in the garden all year round.
This is certainly great fun for kids, the only negative’s is the ability for a child to pull out the various sections to change things around and of course this is quite pricey being made of wood and not plastic but it will last for years.
A wooden panel on a stand which has a reservoir of water at the top. One rearranges a set of gutters, waterfalls, seesaws and other elements into the holes on the panel, creating a new watercourse every time. The set comes with a collapsible bucket to catch the water after its journey, then of course one starts another design. Everyting about it is of good quality apart from the bucket, which has obviously been made collapsible to expedite the packaging.
My kid and his mates absolutely fascinated by this, but not 130 pounds worth of fascinated: About an hours worth of fascinated. However, it’s obviously aimed more at play centres and kindergartens rather than the domestic user, and in those environments it would be a great little activity.
