i have had 3 of these mouses(last 6 years), every 2 years I have changed it, as the buttons are getting worn out, from playing online games. very good mouse for gaming.
The mouse by itself is great! And then you also get to switching the side panels and adjusting the shortcuts in the games and soon enough you can’t live without 12 buttons on the side of your mouse.
I’ve purchased my first in 2018, then one just when the pandemic started for my girlfriend and now the Pro version for myself to go wireless.
Love it. Razer support is also really good.

I bought this mouse on a whim because I wanted something with lots of different buttons on the side for playing MMOs and mobas. As soon as I put my hand on the mouse I realized this was the perfect shape mouse for me. That said, my husband tried it and he absolutely hates it. So I think it really divides opinion and you’ll have to try it yourself to see if it’s comfortable for you. In terms of durability and usability, I find the clip-ons really useful and I use two of the three for various games. I’ve had no issue with durability. The mouse has been in use daily for multiple hours over lots of long gaming sessions and plenty of general web browsing and photo editing etc. Over the course of nearly 2 years now and it’s still works really well.
Superb idea of having different side pads. Good size, good weight, sketchy software, nice lights. Now, the scroll wheel feels like it was removed from some toy tractor. Stiff, noisy, bumpy ride. Hated it right away. Thought i will get to use it after a while, but on day two i felt my pointing finger literally numb from scrolling it. Was about to pack it and send back, but found a video on youtube with a little hack for this mouse. Video itself was about lubricating the wheel or whatever, but one of comments below advised to move metal spring holding the wheel away. Look for video “RAZER Naga Trinity Scroll Wheel Fix”, top comment from @WerNearWerty, he explains the hack. And now i have perfect mouse.
Not a lot compares to the Razer Naga for MMO mice, I’ve had most brands of gaming mouse. Now with the trinity system you can physically customise the mouse to suit your gaming requirements. The mouse is so good I bought this in the Spring Sale as a spare because the deal was so good.
During the recent Spring Sale, the deal on this mouse was so good I bought a second one as a spare.
I’ve use all major gaming brands over the years and have never had such a good mouse, the Trinity feature sets this mouse apart from its competitors, this is no longer a ‘MMO’ mouse, it can adapt to any of your gaming needs.
The Razer software is another feature that sets it apart from its competitors. Compared to Corsair or Logitech it’s just so much better in my opinion.
This is the best mouse for MMOs in my opinion. Too heavy for FPS games, but the flexibility it gives you with the changeable side panels is great (I’m using the 6 button panel).
My initial copy had am issue with the wireless dongle, but the Razer support quickly sent me a replacement mouse under warranty and the second one has a stable connection.

Good mouse, but I kept touching the side buttons in more action oriented games. Solved that by disabling the ‘5’ button in the settings, still leaves me with 11 buttons!
I cant understand why they can never get the side button configuration right, the six configuration is the only one of use but the layout is totally wrong. Why cant they just use a standard 4 pattern like what you find on a joypad, so your thumb can press the buttons in a natural way, so simple.
The only thing I would change is I would go wireless next time. That will be a future purchase!
The whole kit comes with three side panels – 2 button (FPS), 6 button (Battle Royale) and 12 button (MMO), and though I’ve only ever used the MMO panel, I do feel sad Razer ditched the ‘MOBA’ layout (5 arc-shaped buttons surrounding a round central one). They are interchangable through magnetic snap. After some time learning the workflow for profile and chroma RGB management it becomes natural.
For battery performance, using the 12-key side panel, 1000Hz (max) polling rate, lighting usually all white at 255-255-255 at 20% brightness (this is plenty bright!), on 2.4GHz connection, auto-sleep after 5 minutes idle, I generally need to recharge the mouse overnight after 2 days of rather heavy use, however, with razer’s charging dock it is convenient to charge it while cooking or taking a shower more frequently. When charging this way, its logo will flash a colour to indicate charge level.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a wireless mouse with side buttons – let alone a variety of side button options included in the package.
I had my eye on the Trinity for a while and, as soon as I saw it on sale, I did not hesitate one bit. It has all the greatness of the original Naga, while also allowing flexibility with the two extra swappable plates. It’s really easy to swap them out too.
It, like the Naga, does feel a bit small in my palm, but I’ve been told I have big hands so do with that what you will. Not small enough to lead to the claw, and mostly I don’t notice it in regular use, but when I pull out the DeathAdder for certain games I can definitely feel the difference.
All-in-all, it’s a great mouse and I would easily recommend.
Please note I had to send back under warranty the first one (wheel was blocking). Also Razer tried its best, because of brexit it had to go through custom and was with my old mouse for 2 weeks extra + a lot of messages and exchanges as it was not clear if I had to pay something (I didn’t), but the all experience was not great. They need to have the service relocated to UK for UK customers
I have used Razer mice and other products for many years now. This replaces one I’ve used for 5 years.
This time I went for the Pro because it can be wireless, bluetooth or wired. I use it mainly wired because I am a very heavy user, using my computers all day and late into the night for work, games and movie watching. This will actually work from 8am to 2am on a charge and when you forget to plug it in when you go to bed it will also work for quite a while the next day. Yes I did! 🙂 It charges pretty quickly. Maybe 2 hours to full from a long run like that. Being Bluetooth also it means I only need to flip the switch on the bottom and it connects to my Surface tablet so I can use it on that as well. Very nice device. There is a charge stand for it but I won’t bother with that and I did feel that another 65 quid for the charge stand was a bit much although there are cheaper third party ones available. Wireless dongle comes in the mouse hidden behind the removable switch panel. Just plug it onto the lead provided and it’s wireless. Plug the cable back into the mouse and it’s wired. Easy peasy.
As a long time gamer I’ve always been sceptical of wireless mice, but having a soft spot in my heart for the razer naga hex.
Unfortunately the naga hex has always been less popular than its bigger brother (regular naga), however the option of changing is not only smart of razer to bring their overall costs down and capture both markets at the same time. But it also makes sure us naga hex lovers aren’t left without options.
To be honest I have rarely used the regular naga 12 key layout, it’s not really for me. However I do use both the 6 and 2 key layouts, 2 key for work and 6 key for gaming.
Speaking specifically of the 6 key layout I really like it. I honestly wasn’t that big of a fan of the layout on naga hex v2, especially compared to the first one but this one, while different is really good. They went back to a symmetrical layout which pleases the brain and eyes. They have also moved the keys from being around your thumb to being above. Some may not like this, but I think it’s better ergonomically and will suit a larger amount of people. You do have to reach a bit further for most keys, but they are also a lot more pronounced and clicker than previous versions which makes it easier.
I haven’t tested the Bluetooth but I use the wireless function 24/7. At least to the naked eye of a seasoned gamer it is completely unnoticeable that its not wired.
Battery life was a huge surprise to me, I was afraid of having to charge several times per day. But actually it lasts me 2 days of use during weekdays (8 hours work and 6ish gaming) and a whole weekend (8ish hours gaming 2 days in a row).
In conclusion, I had high hopes for a new replacement to my naga hex and this one delivered in all sections above my expectations.
My only gripes so far as that it is not as ergonomic as I would have hoped; however, I do have very large hands, so it is just a case of getting used to it and remembering that one size does not fit all.
The other point is that it is hypersensitive when set on a hight DPI as you can imagine. There are two buttons on the top of the mouse that control the DPI change function and it is easy to hit these, and suddenly the mouse becomes ridiculously sensitive. The DPI levels can be changed in the Razer software and I would recommend lowering these to make it easy to use.
Would I pay full price for this mouse? After owning and using, no I wouldn’t, I don’t think it is worth the over 100 pricetag, however, I purchased in the sale at 49.99 and for that it is an absolute bargain.
The only downside, is Razer is like Apple, once you buy in, you will want all the other bits of matching fancy kit, so I now own a headset, mousemat, keyboard and I’m looking at other peripherals, so I’ve ended up spending a fortune overall
I always thought razer mouse shape was very basic and uncomfortable looking, but I needed a mouse and the viper ultimate looked like a winner. It was a winner, it’s the best mouse I have ever used. It’s so light and comfortable to tip grip, it is an fps mouse though which leads me to the Naga.
The Naga is another great mouse, and I will be buying the pro next week to replace this trial
run trinity. I was scared of all the buttons tbh but they’re easy to use, and very intuitive since we’ve all used numpads and the like.
It is heavy as heck though, like crazy heavy. With all the buttons on the side you have terrible grip to pick the mouse up, you will press buttons if you don’t grip it beyond the front row.
Another issue is mine scrapes. I have a mad cats glide pad and the clip on side part scrapes where it joins the body. Just on the front, right next to the pad. I am unsure if this is a common issue or if mine just doesn’t align properly.
The software is easy to use and the turbo function is great to remove any button spam.
Great mouse, best I have used for wow. Crazy heavy and a little scratchy. 4/5.
Sensitivity wise is next level, which for me will take some getting used to on the highest setting of 16,000 to put into prospective if i go all the way to the left side of my 27″ monitor on the lowest settings @800dpi it takes around 13cm of mouse movement to go from far left to far right, on the flipside @16,000dpi it takes only 1cm of movement so u can go from target to target way faster giving you the advantage in the game over your opponents.
The dpi is also really easy to change on the fly with up & down buttons on the mouse itself just under the scroll wheel, it has dpi speeds of 800,1800, 4500, 9000, 16,000 so there’s a speed to suit all players & games.
Having a Razer keyboard too u can adjust the lighting to match the keyboard lighting effects or just use the software to match the mouse to your pc.
Being Razer i’m sure the Naga Trinity is going to last me many years like all my other razer products & i feel it was a really good upgrade from my last Razer mouse so i would 100% recommend to others
As a PC gamer i wanted a mouse that was capable of responding fast but also had programmable buttons to make certain games easier. I originally looked at cheaper gaming mouses and wasn’t sure if going cheap was the way to go. In the end I went for a more expensive mouse and i’m really glad i did. Here are my reasons why.
Mouse is larger than expected.-
I have large hands and these days a lot of computer mice and gaming mice are getting smaller the help with weight, this mouse however was larger than i expected and a pleasant surprise. It also has an ergonomic to it which helps with my RSI. Its also worth noting that although its bigger than expected the mouse is still rather light weight.
customisation-
The level of customisation on this mouse is insane, not only do you get three different side pieces to use but the buttons themselves can be programmed to do some pretty impressive things from simply binding them the a Key, all the way up to using and opening programs. the RGB feature is also widely customisable and makes your set up look cool haha.
DPI and Reaction time-
For those who play faced paced games you’ll know that input lag from the mouse can be a huge factor and from button lag too. The lag on this mouse is as far as i can tell minuscule. You are also able to customise the speed of the buttons and the DPI down the smallest digit.
Overall-
On the whole this mouse does not disappoint. It does its job and more. I would recommend for any serious gamer and even programmers. You pay the price you get the quality.

So I’ve owned the razer naga 2012, razer naga chroma (2017) and the corsair scimitar.
This mouse FOR ME is the best out of all 3
Main Positives over the mice I’ve used
1) It has a top tier optical sensor, rather than the (IMO) poor laser sensor that comes with the razer naga/chroma. The standard razer nagas served me well but in all honesty the laser sensors sucked especially if i wanted to play games that required high precision
2) The razer software, is FAR FAR FAR superior, than the cue software that corsair offers. I had nothing but issues with the corsair software, such as the buttons on the side repeating themselves over and over again, when CPU usage was high (70-80%+) and also sometimes, the cue software just NOT working at all, thus disabling all the buttons on the side of the mouse, forcing me to close to the software and use the on board memory which you SHOULDN’T have to do. Corsair support was useless in solving this issue. If you’re an avid mmo player you know that CPU usage can get a little high in populated areas. I own the 3570k @4.5ghz
When the software was closed, and the on board memory was being used, the mouse worked fine
I understand that not everybody has had this specific issue with the cue software but even without the buttons repeating themselves issue I’d still take the razer software over corsairs any day of the week.
3) You can change the side panel, to fit your needs (to a certain extent). Personally, I only use the side panel with the 12 buttons, due to my muscle memory knows where all 12 are without me needing to think about it, and i don’t see the benefit of having less buttons on the side, due to the fact that it doesn’t reduce the weight of the mouse enough to warrant the change.

If you read number 3 of my positives i put “to a certain extent” and here’s why
The mouse is sold as a jack of all trades, but in reality it’s an MMO/MOBA mouse, that can be used as an fps mouse thanks to it’s great sensor. This is a very heavy mouse, and for fps games you tend to want a light mouse, that you can flick/swipe with ease at any moment and due to the fact they didn’t add the option to remove/add weights, to the mouse your pretty much stuck with a heavy mouse whatever game you’re playing, this could be a deal breaker, for players looking to buy a mouse for mainly FPS games, but some mmo/moba games on the side.
If they had the option to change the weight of the mouse, on top of changing the side panel of the mouse I’d say it would be the best all round mouse on the market without a shadow of a doubt
So should you buy the trinity?
1) If you’re primarily an MMO/MOBA player but like playing some fps shooters on the side this mouse is perfect for you, IFcan afford the added cost.
2) If you’re primarily an FPS player and play some mmo/moba games on the side this mouse MAY not be best option for you assuming you like lighter mice while you play FPS games.
