I purchase this speaker set as i wanted a way of playing games and watching youtube videos without having to wear a pair of headphone on my head for long periods of time and be more relaxed if i didnt need to hear surroundings in detail in fps games. I do use the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro as my primary headset which i think are amazing towards the competition for comfort over long intense gaming periods.
Before purchasing these i did try out a pair of prenous monitors which looked great and were amazing for music but not much else in my opinion. The Logitech Z407 which i felt were very poor quality. I also tried the Logitech G560 which were good but no were near as clear as the Razer Speakers although they are about half the price.
I have to say it took me a while playing around with the settings to get the right levels for my preference and wasnt straight out of the box perfect. My personal prefence was using the Music setting as this works best overall for most applications for accurate and clear sound.
I am still to play around with the settings some more however i do have to keep the bass down as i have house mates. These go increadable loud; i usually keep them at around 10% volume. They also did not cheap out on the volume dial which is very high quality and a great feature that i appreciate alot.
I cant say that the RGB does much to the product it is very minimal however this does not effect me.
These perform great on youtube videos and Games however i feel that the Music Quality lacks a little bit but i am not sure if i just have the wrong levels in the razer audio dial.
I purchased these speakers as Good as new from the warehouse for 346.00 which were literally new as far as i could see, which i felt was high but i cant understand why with the build quality. I am not sure i could justfy these at the full price Tag of 499.99
Also bessere pc Lautsprecher kenne ich persnlich nicht, und kenne einige. Wenn die jetzt noch mindestens 5-10 Jahre halten, lohnt sich die Investition in jedem Fall
MOLTO COMODO E INTUITIVO, BELLO MASSICCIO. SYN-C SYNAPSE OBBLIGATORIO PER EFFETTI LED SINCRONIZZATI CON TUTTO ARSENALE DEL BRAND
Great speakers glad i upgraded from the razer nomo. So much connectivity options. Sound is amazing and bass is just right.

Great sound
Hardcore bass
Not as ‘bass heavy’ or unrefined as other reviews said in my experience (Im not an audiophile, but I do enjoy quality audio)
Quality is as youd expect or a Razer product, great for PC gaming, watching movies and listening to music
These are very stunning looking speakers. They are a very deep matt black with looks like they cost thousands of pounds. The design is really nice. The build quality is excellent. Then I plugged them in and connected my phone via Bluetooth which blew me away. The stereo separation is really good. The clarity and detail between the treble and mid range is exceptional. And the bass is very complimentary to a well balanced sound. I really am impressed all round.
Held off for a while purchasing, as the price is quite high. Speakers themselves larger than expected, as was the sub. However, incredible build quality and the bass has to be heard to be believed. The sound volume, clarity and detail is something else paired with a reasonable DAC. Very happy with the purchase at around 360. Wouldn’t pay the standard 500 price however, but it does tend to go on discount here on a regular basis.
Got these on prime day for about 300. Quite big they are made of aluminium with quite stiff fabric sheathed cables. Sounds fantastic but unlike others I didn’t find the bass to be grossly overpowering. The lack of remote is not a problem as you can use the phone app or the included control pod. The control pod is a joy to use and feels very high quality. The speakers are simply brilliant and people comment on them often given their style. I’d definitely recommend – when on sale!
how good my old 15-year-old 2.0 Bose speakers were! At first, very disappointingly, my Bose were actually better than these. But then I ignored the pre-set sounds that Razer put in the Audio Enhancement with their Synapse software and boosted all frequencies to the top and busted the bass up and then it destroyed my Bose. Not sure what Razer were thinking with their pre-set sounds. With overall settings of Music, Movie and Game mode not beating the sound of my 2.0 Bose. Enabling Dolby Virtual Speaker sounds awful. THX sounds a bit better, but not nearly as good as Custom settings. I’ve only tried music and gaming on these speakers so maybe movies with THX might sound a bit better.
I love the look of these speakers. Very unique. As is the subwoofer. I probably would have gone for the much lower down priced Razer Nommo Chroma speakers which also look nice and have good reviews for a 2.0 setup, but I found it really annoying that those didn’t angle up towards the listener. These are supposed to be PC speakers and when you are sitting down you want the speakers pointing up towards your ears, not your stomach.
These are very well made, with a nice weight to the satellites, encased in a metal shell, compared to the lower priced Razer Nommo Chroma speakers which are all plastic. The subwoofer is very heavy and well made.
With the frequencies all boosted, these speakers are very good. This is actually my first 2.1 sound system for my pc and it does make a big difference with the immersion having a separate subwoofer. That’s the big difference. You just can’t get the same bass with a 2.0 system. Explosions in games are brilliant! However, I recently just got the Samsung Harman Kardon HW-Q80R 5.1.2 soundbar system for my TV and it blows these speakers away! The subwoofer for the HW-Q80R is just amazing and much better than this Razer subwoofer. The sound for these Razers are more of a warm sound, rather than sharp and punchy. I prefer more the punchy and sharp with the high tones like my Samsung speaker has, rather than the more mellow emphasis on the mids the razer has. But I guess each to his own. And the Samsungs are twice the the price of these and made for a TV not a PC.
I think the RGB lighting is really nice and not over-the-top. With them set to Audio Meter, they colour up based on the beat of your music and sound effects of games. Just be aware though that because the speakers are powered by the power outlet and not your computer, when you switch the computer off, unlike your rgb keyboard and rgb mouse, the speaker lights will still be on and you have to manually switch them off by the control pad. However, if you put your computer to sleep, in the Synapse settings you are able to switch off the lighting when the display is turned off.
Overall, a very nice upgrade if you currently have only a 2.0 system for your pc. And hopefully they will last as long as my Bose did
Update: Okay, I’ve had these for over two months now and they are incredible! At first I was comparing them to my old Bose, using the same volume level. I guess that’s not a good way to do it, for there is much more to sound than volume level and all speakers will have different settings. I do find it strange that these speakers seem to have a lower base sound than my Bose. Anyway, these are just amazing, and at top volume will blow your ears off! And great on the Razer preset settings! I’ve tried so many manual settings on these and after all my tests, and in contrast to what I said above, yes, seems like Razer did get the preset settings right. So for Music I’ll put to preset music, with the bass set at 50. For gaming, I’ll put to preset gaming and set bass to 100. And the sound for gaming is incredible! Be ready to duck for cover when you hear that first explosion!
Just love these now so putting my score from 4 stars to 5 star.
Unlike some other reviewers I bought these specifically for playing music, along with general PC usage. I don’t game. In the past I have owned quite a few PC speakers, Logitech models, Harman Kardon Soundsticks, Creative GigaWorks T20, Corsair SP2500, Bose Companion 20 & 50, Cambridge Audio Minx 5, amongst others. Some of those were better than others but I can confidently say that the Razers blow all of those away, not just for power, but, importantly, for range and clarity. At first when playing music I was disappointed about the clarity but this was immediately rectified by switching the setting in the Synapse software from ‘TXH’ to ‘Music’. There is also the option to tinker further with the equalizer settings but I think for most music they sound fine as they are.
While the bass is definitely powerful, I don’t agree that it overwhelms the mids or highs. Certainly not when the bass is set below 50%, which is where I guess most people will have it set when playing music. I usually leave it around 25. Mids and highs are always clear. I think sometimes though with audio we can become conditioned to prefer what we are used to. Before buying these I used a pair of Sonos Ones, which, while good for their size, sounded just a bit too bright for my tastes, with not enough depth. Anyone who prefers that kind of ‘bright’ sound, however, might be disappointed with these. As has been said in reviews, these have a ‘warmer’ sound. A bit like the difference between a guitar valve amplifier sound compared to a transistor amp. There is no loss in high end clarity but the overall sound is altogether deeper.
As has been frequently pointed out these Razers are not cheap speakers. I have read some critics (none of which who have actually tried the speakers) argue that a gaming brand like Razer would know nothing about real audio and suckers are just paying for the brand. I admit I also thought that might be the case before I took a gamble on the purchase and was pleasantly surprised. Razer have actually done a great job. I also admit that I got them on a deal for about 100 cheaper than the usual price, but having now used them I can say I would have still paid full price as I consider a good set of PC speakers as very important. I know some people will say it’s easily possible to beat these with separates or a good set of hi-fi speakers, and I don’t doubt that’s true. However, for those like me who just want a powerful and detailed set of 2.1 near-field desk speakers specifically designed for PC use I have yet to see anything better. Recommended.
Strong bass and haven’t needed to push the volume above 50%. At that level, there were no distortion. Sound profile is subjective so I will leave that to the experts.
Integrates and works extremely well with Razer Synapse for the Chroma lighting. The USB volume controls the Windows volume. It does have issues with sync or detecting the USB audio when you put it to sleep now and again but I would say it’s rare enough not to annoy me. If it does get worse then you could switch to one of the other inputs.
Using the headphone output on the remote works well and mutes the speaks when plugged in automatically.
Very solid build.
Includes Razer tax.
Purchased mine from razer as i didnt want to wait for the amazon release, Love razer products, always good quality but expensive. Replaced my levitathon with these and they are an upgrade! The bass is something else! even too much at times on full. Quility is amazing when gaming and playing music. They also look amazing in any set up! Speakers are quite tall along with the sub woofer but if thats what it takes im fine with that
The app is a life saver when not close to the control pod. All round amazing but worth 500 maybe not.
