I’m no speaker expert but I felt like they were well worth the price, they had good sound quality, good base and they look surprisingly nice on my desk. Only thing I wish they could do is be tilted down or up other than that they are definitely worth the buy.
I struggled to find some nice looking computer speakers for my setup. These from Razer fit my aesthetic however.
The sound quality of these is good, I rarely have them anywhere near full volume. They are quite bassy but they have knob to dial it down on one of the speakers.
My only gripe is how much space they take up on the desk. They are large! I’d recommend checking the dimensions if you don’t have much desk space.
Clear separation between left and right channel, but the image is blurry, you can’t really pinpoint the position.
With that being said, I have no issue hearing the direction of footsteps.
While it’s adequate for gaming, the bass is muffled and highs are very harsh. Sometimes my ears hurt while listening to violins. Vocals are clear and no significant colouring unlike some other consumer audio brands.
Overall, it’s good enough for gaming but not so good for music. Especially those with a lot of instruments, everything is blended together.
When the time came to replace my Harmon Kardon Glass 2.1 speakers for my PC. I knew it was going to prove difficult.
I needed good solid, big sound for my PC setup and I ended up, looking at Razer and the Nommo’s. What a fantastic decision, they are slightly bigger than I envisioned but boy they deliver big sound!
Absolutely recommend, whether gaming or listening to music, they are clean, crisp, have a really good depth and balance to them.
Bigger than expected, but with excellent noise.
Not tried on the gaming machine ye
Using these with my GP950, to game and use for backing tracks on YouTube. Sound is great for price and built in woofers. Feel good quality, love how they look.
Can you get better ??? Yes you can! Can you get worse??? Yes!!! Are you an audiophile? Then go spend 3500 on some 2.0 gaming speakers. However, if you want fairly decent sound for gaming and not break the bank, you cant go wrong with these for the money.
They are Good for everything I like it that I can set a bass gain.
These speakers are very good quality and sound amazing, the only thing I would have liked added was a light to show me when they are actually turned o
Don’t let the pictures fool you these speakers are huge. Was expecting something small and easy to fit on a desktop but they are massive. Do read the spec so you know what to expec
Sound quality for the price is great.
Bass is a little overpowered but you can easily adjust it via the bass knob on the base of the right speaker.
One thing to be aware of is that they don’t tilt up or down they are fixed speakers.
Works amazing for gaming and music, worth the money and look stunning for a bonus and fits for any gaming or desk set up. Use them for gaming, and working with music software.
Great for gaming if you don’t want to wear headfones and watching videos or movies on your PC. They are better than most PC speakers without a sub woofer and the 3inch drivers do a decent enough job but don’t expect too much with music, they sound OK but just lack the range.
Best at what they were designed for.
hese are amazing i use headphones foe all my gaming but now i have these i only use my headphones for online multiplayer, as these speakers are so good at letting you know where sound is coming from. i could not recommend these enough
Speakers are excellent value for money, sound is clear , bass can be adjusted on the toggle if you fancy more, only slight niggle is they are quite big looking on the desk! Won’t be disappointed if your just after some casual listening.
When shopping for desk speakers my biggest concern was getting something that would sit on either side of my 3 monitor screens. these fit nicely on my desk and work perfectly. An immersive experience, happy customer.
For the price (I paid 60 but under 100 is fine) they are ok. There are definitely better sounding speakers for that price however. The bass is quite lacking.
However I’m using mine in a 5.1 surround sound setup as the front left/right speakers and they are brilliant for that role, and they look very nice
Great speakers, bought to use with my pc and ps4 as my monitor does not have speakers built in.
Great quality and sound, got them for a great price on sale so we’ll worth the money.
Volume is good and can go high and base is also great.
First off, all of the photos of these speakers mak them look 3″ or so, but they are really quite massive and I had to move everything on my desk around to fit them as they can’t sit under or behind my monitor. Next, I am a massive audiophile, so take my sound comments with a grain of salt as you may really like the sound. These sound just ok, especially considering all the reviews I’ve read of them. The bass, even fully turned up feels flat. There’s something missing from the sound that I can’t quite put my finger on, possibly the highs. Overall, they sound pretty good for computer speakers at this price range, just not as good as reviewers made them out to sound. Glad I didn’t get the chroma too, seems pointless. So, if you want massive, decent sounding speakers for 100 gbp, grab these. Otherwise, you can find smaller or better sounding speakers.
Considering the price, these speakers are great quality. The Matt black finish fits perfectly with the PC set up. They’re just the right shape to hang a set of headphones on too.
My 2.1 soundscience speakers finally died, and I was hesitant to buy these 2.0 speakers as a replacement. I need not be. The sound quality is excellent, and the rearward facing bass ports in each pod work perfectly. There is no hum when they are at rest, and sound quality is excellent.
The cones are not covered in a grille, so they are open to easy accidental damage, but the bare cones add to the ‘understated elegance’ look.
Great quality for what you pay for. I use these with a Ps4. They’re not top of the line by any means, but for 90 they sound amazing. It’s definitely not worth the 40 extra to have the chroma lighting though.
So after reading the reviews I was unsure on these but I was looking for something of better quality than cheap 20 to 40 speakers. These are a blessing. Excellent sound quality despite others reviews. They have provided a much more enjoyable gaming and movie watching experience. I’m now looking at upgrading other stuff to razer products.l after how good these are. The look and size of these may not be to everyone’s taste but I would advise to ignore that if you can.
See these catching a lot of bad reviews tbh thought they were pretty nice.
If you’re buying these for superior bass and sound quality compared to a subwoofer solution, then don’t bother.
However if you’re investing in these speakers to look aesthetically pleasing, not take up too much space whilst also providing decent bass and sound quality do buy them.
Very happy with them!
If you want some cool and amazing speakers for gaming get these. I have now had these for 3 years and they are in brand new quality still. They have tremendous bass and sound quality and you can hear in game footsteps easily with these. They can be played at full volume and full bass and they won’t blow and they can get very loud and bassy. These speakers are very sleek and they look amazing on your setup.
Excellent speakers, 100% clear, 100% loud and not too loud which is magically good since I live in a household with lots of people. You can set the speakers really loud and nobody would complain. fantastic! In fact they’ll compliment your speakers for how brilliant clear they sound and how amazing they’re.
Heavier and larger than i imagined when i opened them up. Sound is chunky and good quality but if you want it to vibrate the ornaments from the shelves you will be dissapointed. They are very good for the 70 but not if they are up near the 100 bracket. I presume the gamers and teenagers will love the model up with the built in led’s, but I can’t comment on those as I stuck to the base model. Overall, very satisfied.
I bought these to get a better experience with Films and Gaming through the sound quality. The quality is at a level of excellent, and with the ability to adjust the bass level it can be tuned to your liking. These speakers can go to a high volume level but something like this isn’t about being used at a high level they are about the quality. Very clear and crisp. Just a word of warning, the actual speakers are a little larger in size than I expected. It may be an idea before purchase you get the measurements from the specifications to give you a better understanding of how big they are. They do fit on a pc desk along side your screen but for me they are quite a size difference from the smaller speakers I have just replaced them with. Just be aware !
I bought these beauties from Amazon Warehouse when there was a 20% discount promotion available so I got these for around 60 used like new.
And like new they were. Box has been opened but the previous owner had done a good job putting them back in the box.
So, what about the sound? One word – Amazing. I actually have them set back off my desk because of the size (not really a problem, I have two monitors and a laptop so they just wouldn’t fit on there.
Sound is crisp and clear, atmospheric and great to play music or use for gaming.
All good from me!
Christmas present for Grandson. We tested the volume and discovered that 20% is perfect. A quick, very quick twist up to full volume and the paint blistered on the door frame and I swear that a passing bus swerved away! 20% gives a very good well balanced sound and no complaints from the gaming chair!!
Was concerned that one speaker each side wouldnt have the range and that the Bose ones may be a better choice.
These are very stylish and look great but more importantly great sounds, very crisp audio with good mid and bass.
No bass unit with them but TBH there is no need they are loud with great range.
ok there nice speaks just plug and play watching youtube there basic not till i put on a movie and changed the bass there very good you have to have them amed to you as well i moved mine and now there very good . for the price there ok if they were about 60 pounds not 89 i would have no problem recommend them but you get what you pay for.
I’ve taken these 1 month ago and I the following:
PROs: Really good looking speakers, good quality products (cables, plastic build) nudge is also has a good quality feel. Also the biggest WIN here is the driver, they are known for the good driver that controls the gains.
CONs: They are bit too expensive. Obviously you pay a percentage for the ‘Razer’ brand.
Hope these helped!
If you are buying it sole for gaming than you’ll get yourself a fantastic pair of speakers. Quality highs and clarity to hear every movement in games and good mid lows.
However in my opinion they lack in lows and warmth of the sound necessary for listening music or even enjoying occasionally movies…
In conclusion I definitely recommend them for their own name “gaming speakers” but not for anything else.
The mid and high frequencies are awesome, very crisp and clear, and they make listening to music very enjoyable. They also look really sleek and cool, unlike any other set of speakers I’ve purchased. Connectivity is decent, but a sub port would have been very useful, which leads me to my next point: the bass is poor.
As far as subwoofer-less speakers go, the bass on these is pretty decent, but it’s not satisfying enough at all, and if you listen to anything that has a higher pitch bass, it just hurts your ears. Performs very poorly in that aspect. The bass knob does decent adjustment but even cranked to max, you won’t feel any of the music.
They get decently loud, enough to fill a medium sized room well, but it doesn’t work as well in larger rooms. Wouldn’t recommend for a party, but then again, that’s not what they’re made for.
As a set of desktop gaming speakers though definitely would buy. For me personally, the lack of a sub holds them back too much. A shame really, because those highs and mids sound amazing.
I have since tweaked these speakers a lot and got them to work really well, turns out my computer’s sound card had a lot to do with the really bad his and lows. I now depend on these speakers like any other and even though their sound is still not super great when compared to my Logitech 2.1 speakers they are a lot better looking at easier to place and after a while you don’t notice the difference in sound quality.
Old review:
Some reason all 2.0 speaker systems do this, you can get away from it if you go 2.1, but even with the bass knob turned off these speakers produce enough bass to be heard through walls and floors, and that is regardless of how you tune your equaliser, the tweeters are just designed that way. The bass is more than the mid and high frequency volumes, which sounds a bit canny compared, these speakers would be awesome if they sounded consistent but they don’t.
This makes them useless for times you may want to play discreetly.
As an edit, I actually gamed on these, on WoW, and I found that compared to my Logitech 2.1 speakers, I had to make these a lot louder since the bass is much louder than the mid or high and even then I was hearing the bass above the normal music which was really quite quiet in comparison, sure, with the bass you will never miss a shot being fired, just as they say, but you will miss everything else.
Affordable 2.0 stereo PC speakers of high quality without a very high wattage are incredibly hard to find. I know this from my exeperience of looking for them for both my computer, brother’s computer and console gaming setup. But I think Iv’e found some amazing ones!
The Razer nommo sound fantastic and really are worth the price but they are expensive. Ive had 45 Edifiers in the past and was disappointed by poor mid sounds and overpowering bass, and unpleasant high pitch sounds. My other speakers are JBL jembes and for a quarter of the price of these Razer Nommos they are almost as good, however you cant buy them anymore. Its a shame as they are the totally unequaled
I use my Razer Nommo for my games consoles and they are superb quality, they look great and I couldnt possibly be happier with the way they sound. I spent a bit more than I wanted to but it was worth it and they should still be awesome in years to come
Fantastic speakers. Timeless styling makes them very easy on the eyes. Simple controls for bass and volume on the right speaker, mean they are easy as pie to use.
They sound incredible and you really don’t miss having a subwoofer. The bass ports at the back of each speaker do the job nicely.
Your search for speakers is over.
