The sound is amazing where you point the speakers perfect in everyway if you point them at you however sound may suffer if you please the position that being said you can have it at a high volume and not annoy the whole house! Amazing purchase no regrets only sad thing Is they are dust magnets that’s easily fixed with a cloth!
Love these! Quality is great although was a but shocked when these jet engines arrived bigger than I expected… not massive but not small but awesome
Bought these as replacements for my creative speaks that had a fault. These are excellent speakers, great build quality, simple controls. They are aesthetically pleasing to look at and the ambient lighting is an excellent touch. Recommend.
They look really good on my desk and they are perfect for watching movies or playing games. Have never needed to push them to full volume as they are pretty powerful.
I got this to replace an old set of speakers, i wanted something that looked modern and different enter the Razer Nommo Chroma 2.0 Gaming speakers. Easily one of the most aesthetically interesting speakers that i have seen, they are cylinder shaped itch a nice flat round RGB base, on the one base you have the volume and base controls that are simple twist, They are easy-to-setup and moderately good-sounding. They have some issues in sound quality – especially in the farther reaches of the audio spectrum – but exceptional clarity and nuanced mids make up for any shortcomings. These speakers are really design and aimed at gamers for on the desktop so if you want something you can blast music etc out with, these are not them that said sound quality when i am listening to music is not that bad at all.
The base of the speakers contain RGB lighting that can be controlled via the Razer Synapse software (free download) here you can custom the RGB and to be honest in basic form control the audio equaliser, these are basic functions default, game, music, movie (mine set to game see video for difference sound quality)
Over all im very happy with the speakers and have no issue recommending them
For the size of these speakers they are pretty good quality and give a decent amount of bass for not having a sub at all. Go well in my black and white setup.
Amazing pc speaker. Surprising amount of bass for such a small speaker. Good clarity and high end resolution. Medium presence. Won’t compete with better solutions like full 5.1, but for the money they are brilliant.
The quality of the sound is definitely nice and feels good, however the bass isn’t the best unfortunately, they could’ve improved this as it’s a vital part of the speakers.
It’s not often I write reviews on products,as most people ignore them anyway. But these speakers are extremely good,I love the sound quality out of them and the lights are an added bonus
Seen other reviews say the sound isnt great but i totally disagree! Best speakers ive ever had.
Only gripe is that they come with a really quite large plug that blocks more than one slot on my extension plugs, its surely not necessary since my gaming computer that uses far more power comes with a smaller plug
The speakers look really cool, and the sound quality is maintained even at higher volumes, but the bass is really weak, a little sub woofer would go a long way with this, especially considering the cost.
after my logitech speakers broke, i was on the look out for new ones. seen these ones were 99 thought id give it a try, was worried with looking at the reviews. but glad i went with it, sound and bass are brilliant and with the rgb tying in with my chroma studio is a bonus.
These sound fantastic when gaming although not quite as good when listening to music . Using the 3.5 aux and the USB at the same time produces a rather large static sound so it’s one of the other I’m afraid . They are bigger than they look in the picture but I think they look great and are a bit of a statement piece on my desk !
I bought these speakers for my SIM rig. They look great and the sound is pretty good. If you’re after more bass then you need a sub but these are perfect fir my use at a really good price.
Right, so I love RGB. I’m obsessed! I also love Razer products but what put me off the product initially was the size of the speakers but I am so over that now, I wouldn’t change them for the world. Yes they are long/deep in size, but they are worth it for the sound alone! The sound is absolutely amazing. Because I chose aesthetics I didn’t think I’d get the high quality sound, but wow. I am amazed. The only criticism I have is the lighting isn’t as bright as what I’d hoped. It’s subtle, which most people may desire anyway. I like my PC looking tacky with all it’s lights lol. I have attached some pics and a vid in the dark. I expected to pay this price with it being a brand I find awesome already and they definitely delivered in quality. Easy volume and bass wheels and even integrate with Razer Synapse / Chroma Studio so can sync up with any other Razer products you own and you can change the colours from Static to many other effects like Audio meter, starlight and Spectrum cycling amongst more, with the option to pick each of the 24 individual LED’s to whatever colour you like. I definitely recommend as product is clearly well designed, material is excellent and sound (especially the bass) is delivered perfectly but like I mentioned, don’t be expecting an eyesore of colour because it is subtle which I wish I had the option to make brighter but that’s just me 🙂
Works like a charm, not too loud or too quiet on low volumes like cheap PC speakers, adds a whole new depth, letting you hear things you’ve never noticed in background musics in games such as Rimworld, HALO or Mass Effect, and overall increases the quality of sounds. Unfortunately it requires a wall plug socket to power, but considering the size it really needs it.
Only issue I have is the Sound Mixer. It gives you 4 presets, but it’d be nice to be able to play with the highs, lows, mids and take the bass further than what it gives you. Turning the volume/bass up and down has a nice little display on the chroma lighting, too, which is a nice touch, but the bass increases and decreases aren’t too noticable unless you’re playing something with alot of bass.
Expensive but good investment if you have other razer products so you can sync all your rgb together. Decent sounds and good bass. Can’t really think of any downsides if I have to say one thing that is bad would be the amount of cables you have lying around when you set it up and spend some time cable manage.
Great speakers with a nice bit of weight, rather than the flimsy models out there these FEEL like they are going to rock. The app is really easy and the pre loaded gaming specs are a nice touch. It’s a shame not more are on board. The only negative is that they don’t have true breathing sound to mirror gaming experience
Despite what other reviews say, the sound quality of these speakers are fantastic. Considering they have no subwoofer the bass is exceptional and they are perfectly suited to gaming – providing an almost pseudo-virtual surround effect where the sound feels like it is being projected around you rather than at you.
I perfectly understand other reviews saying there are better 2.0 systems out there for less money, such as the Gigaworks T40’s. Hell, you can get decent Logitech 2.1 systems for the cost of these but they simply won’t have the visual presence that the Nommo’s have.
I got these because, admittedly, I’ve drank the Razer coolaid and wanted a full Razer Chroma setup – so I was willing to try them out despite other claims of subpar sound quality vs cost. The fortunate part I found though was the reviews talking about poor sound quality seem to be talking crap. No, they’re not as good as a good 2.1 or 5.1 system but they’re not supposed to be, what you have here are a pair of really good 2.0 speakers that are still better than budget 2.1 systems and can still provide good bass and clarity.
Coming from a set of Gogroove Basspulses, I was blown away at how much better these speakers actually sound – and that’s a dedicated 2.1 system.
If you’re looking for something with a bit more visual presence than the simple black boxes of most speakers and want something that actually has the sound quality to back it up, then these are for you.
My only criticism is the price and an extra 50 for the Chroma version does seem to be a bit of a joke – but it’s Razer and that name just comes at a premium now.
Theres so much to talk about with these speakers that i dont know where to begin..
So lets start with that they are made for and that is gaming. Ive only been using them for 2 days but i can already tell you that they are something special for games, if you’re looking for speakers for kind of “competitive games” where sound is important such as cs:go, valorant or COD these are perfect you will experience directional footsteps quality very close to headphones.
Although if you are an audiophile or just looking for speakers dedicated to listening to music then i would recommend getting speakers with a dedicated subwoofer as these wont give you the same experience. If thats what you’re looking for I would recommend the logitech z623. Although don’t get me wrong they do provide you with some level of bass just not the same.
Look wise these are absolutely beautiful and will make your setup look insanely neat. They don’t take too much space on your desk either so they will fit in perfectly even with dual/ triple monitor setups.
When it comes to connecting these there is no issue, the cables are easy to hide with the correct cable management kit and the cable connecting the main speaker to the other is long enough to go across any type of desk.
I hope this review helped you a bit with your decision, thank you for reading and i hope you will enjoy your day:)
Slightly concerned the connector pins bent on my first ‘attempt’ of connecting the speaker …I had to use a knife to straighten them out, I successfully connected the cable after retrying 2 more times … Quote a poor design choice if it’s this easy to fault – some razr kit is really well built and some just isn’
I bought these speakers primarily for gaming as headsets give me a banging headache. They work fantastic can literally hear the faintest of bullet drops and footsteps. Razer synapse works with ease via Mac or PC allowing you to customise the light patterns, there are many default ones to choose from and you can customise your own pattern. The knobs being on the base allow for easy access to adjust the base and volume and once connected with my Mac via the USB cable the volume knob adjusts my main computer volume which is fantastic integration, as typically these things don’t work with macs.
Razor has done their job very well ignore what people say in the review this product is AMAZING! the sound Quality is so clear and loud it is a speaker for gamers and for people who listen to very loud music It’s so loud my house is buzzing it is worth the price cause you can’t get any better speaker than this it’s so loud. The RGB Lighting is something else it’s so cool to watch when you change the colour through razer website and the product did not have any damage at all and the bass for this speaker is for nominal I recommend people trying this product out.
I paid 100 for these normal retail price is 150. For what I paid I think it’s about right price. Just lacks a bit of bass but the sound quality is very impressive for such small speakers. Overall I wouldn’t pay 150 but if you can get these when they are discounted like I have then it’s about right value. Love the rgb colors and just goes with the rest of my setup.
Hi I don’t tend to do reviews how ever the reviews this gets here on Amazon are so faulse. For starters the bass is perfect for all types of music. Movies is 50-50. Take it or leave it at that, the THX audio would help there but that’s on the Pros. How ever. These are 150 speakers. They give u a 150 speaker quality. Even the 99 with out the RGB. BUT RGB IS COOL.
There’s alot of people here given these a bad review for no reason at all.
5-5 simple. U won’t be disappointed if you knew your audio. Iv used company like Harman kardon Yamaha and many more. These sound better than my Sonos speakers shame there’s no WiFi function or they would be replacing the Sonos. Thanks and I hope you believe me on my review. Thanks again Ryan.
I was watching these speakers for a while as I own other Razer products that I’m happy with and I needed a decent pair of speakers. I noticed they were on offer for 99 the night that I decided to order, the following morning after I ordered they went back up in price so I would say that I got a great deal and I’m really happy with them! They work great, the chroma lights are a pretty touch. Only downfall is that they aren’t as loud as I would have wanted but again, I can’t complain for 99. Very happy with them.
I’ve had 3 sound systems in the last 18 months, and this is by far the best one I’ve owned.
Yes it’s only a stereo system, but it’s seriously impressive sound output. The subs are built into the actual speaker, so I guess technically its 2.2 because the sub drivers are seperate inside.
They produce enough bass to create full bodied sound, but won’t wobble you’re house. So if you’re a bass head, these are NOT for you! If you’re after some really rich all round sound, then get these.
Beware, these are massive speakers. I mean genuinely massive! And weighty. The base is around 5 inches wide, and the speaker itself I’d say is around 8 inches long, so make sure you have the space on your desk.
For the price, I’d honestly say they’re totally worth it. They produce a really high quality sound, sharp highs, rich mids and deep lows. They don’t crackle at full pelt, and the build quality is second to none.
First off I was surprised at the size of this pair of beauties, a lot bigger than I expected, heavier too, suppose I really should pay more attention to product details but at least in this case it was two pleasant surprises.
As for performance they certainly tick all my boxes, good clear quality sound that can be fine adjusted via the Razer app on your pc. You can also control both bass and volume directly on the base of the right speaker.
Now they are only 2.0 speakers so your not going to get multi directional FX like you will from a cinema surround set up but they do deliver good sterio sound, perfect for off line game play, watching videos and listening to your tunes. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase and Razer have delivered another quality PC gadget which integrate nicely on my desk with my Blackwidow Elite kb & Trinity mouse via the Chroma lighting feature.
These were 89 which was only a fiver more than the regular ones so bargain straight away. I don’t have the largest of space, but I really wanted to upgrade my speakers from my ten year old cheap Advents. Spent ages looking at these and eventually took the leap. These aren’t overly bass heavy and a lot of audiophiles seem to hate them (no doubt the brand hate doesn’t help), but not being a bass head I’m not overly bothered. The RGB lighting is a bonus but you will need a dark surface for the effects to be noticeable. Volume is great and love that the lights respond when you adjust either the volume or bass. Also love the fact that the volume and bass controls are easily accessible, looking through others and so many are either on the side (not great for small spaces) or behind which is a massive pain. Love these and for less than 100 they are a steal, not sure I could justify the 150 RRP though!
I purchased theese spkers after using the sound from my monitor and needed some better sound quality. These did not disapoint. The clarity is quite suprising with enough bass to pack a small punch and they look fantastic. If ur looking for ground shaking bass or cinema style sound theese are not for you but for casual listening and gaming these speakers can definately hold there own and for the price you wont be disapointed.
Had them for a good few months now and the past month and a half I have had serious sound issues where my audio cuts out and i get a static sound. Also while the audio cuts out whatever I’m doing on my pc like gaming or watching videos on YouTube it also glitches out until I turn the nommos off and on again. Not long after doing so it happens again. I have contacted razer support on Twitter and they have tried their best to help however the 5 different things they have told me to try havant worked. Besides my issue they are a great product for the price.
Bought these a few weeks back, they sounded great (much better than the monitor sound bars and built-in speakers I’d used previously), unfortunately they were a little big for my desk (anyone who owns them will know what I mean, they’re not silly big but you’ll need a reasonable amount of desk depth for them to not look silly).
The RGB lighting on them is bright and looked good, the only downside was the length of the second cable (this has to run between the two speakers), I have a corner desk and it was barely long enough to reach between both speakers at each corner.
I only bought these because I’ve got Chroma gear for everything else; my existing 2.1 speakers were perfectly fine, but I wanted to move them to the bedroom (connected to an Echo Spot) and get these for my PC. Since these are 2.0 – no separate bass unit – I was worried that the sound wouldn’t be as good and was ready to return them, but it’s fine. To be fair, I never had my bass turned all the way up, just enough for a decent rumble but not enough to overwhelm everything else, and these speakers match that. I have the bass turned up to about 70% on these, whereas on my old 2.1s I had it at about 40%, so if you want to shake the house down then you’ll probably be disappointed!
Volume-wise they are, again, “fine”. I normally have these set to 20% which is plenty loud enough for me. A nice feature of these is that, being USB speakers, they integrate with the Windows audio settings, so when you adjust the volume knob on the speaker, it actually adjusts the Windows volume level – no longer do I have to check what level Windows is at as well as my speakers. There’s also a visual level indicator using the Chroma lights – twist the volume knob and the lights on both speakers reflect the volume level.
As for the Chroma – which, let’s face it, is why you’d buy these over any other speakers – it is also (wait for it) fine. You need the latest version of Razer Synapse, unhelpfully still labelled as a Beta, but then it’s plug and play. The only downside – and partly why I’ve knocked off a star – is that the lights shine downwards, so they’re only visible in low light and when reflecting off your desk. It’s like the Razer Firefly mousemat. If the lights had been around the outside of the speaker bases, rather than underneath, it would have been better.
The other reason they’re getting a 4 instead of 5 is that the speakers aren’t adjustable. I like speakers to point at my head; these one point at my upper arms.
So, overall, these are fine if you want to enhance your Razer Chroma setup; if you don’t have any other Razer gear, I’m sure you’ll find something else just as good at a lower price (or same price but better).
I like the quality of the speakers and the sound. Though the software is rather restrictive and other than the pre-made settings for audio/video/games/default I have not found any other way on how to adjust the sound. With either settings it’s either to high-pitched or too much bass (even for music, i find it has too much bass), so I usually leave it on the default setting. Another example was, i changed it to music once and then forgot to change it whilst watching a video; I honestly didn’t understand a word, that’s how much the settings change the sound.
Also, very annoying is, that one has to manually switch off the speakers on the switch, otherwise the LEDs go on and on and on and on, even though the PC is switched off. Clearly, when the PC is switched off, the software can’t tell the LED strip in the speakers, that the monitors are off and therefore the LEDs should go off too (that setting really only makes sense with screensavers, so someone didn’t think that through in their department!).
