Bought this to replace my blue yeti which had a few sound issues and this doesnt dissapoint. It may not have as many features as the yeti but its a great mic for the price!

Got this mic for gaming purpose as needed something which was good for voice quality.
Setup was easy and hooked up to Teamspeak and my friends say it is just as clear as using the headset.
    BONUS.
Would recommend this to anyone wanting quality sound both in and out where others can hear you very clearly.
No cons for this, only pros

Going from a headset microphone, using the Razer Seiren was night and day. I had much higher and clearer volume as well as better microphone quality. It took around five minutes to put together and has secure cables. In addition to this, I find the headphone volume knob easy to use and find that the mute button is reliable. I’m not sure how I feel about the microphone itself being at a slanted angle, but I have gotten used to it after a couple of weeks of use.

Overall a great USB microphone for someone on a budget and someone who streams/plays games on a regular basis.

Very nice build quality for the more premium feel. Mic sounds good for the price. You can’t go wrong with this mic and I would recommend it at this price point.

    Great Mic

Dont leave your phone near it charging or otherwise or it makes a beeping sound. Besides that really good in all areas

The Razer Siren X is good, audio drivers are a bit meh, but once tweaked with 3rd party the device becomes HQ

Good mic, good size, very little noise on the other end, clear sound. The stand and the mic itself has some weight to it, so I’m not worried about knocking it over. Easy to setup, too.

Amazing mic I have had it for over a year and it’s amazing the sound quality is great and the ways in which you can tune it to your liking it looks sleek and the cable has a nice thread around it which makes it not look cheap Great Mic!!

This thing is amazing, recommend you get a pop filter for it but the sound quality is just great, the mic is better suited on a mic stand however if you are getting one of these you’ll probably already have one/will be getting one. Essential piece of my streaming kit now, wouldn’t be able to go without one.

It works really well although sometimes I came across an issue when people on other side could hear really loud popping noise coming from this mic. It wasn’t issue with my settings whatsoever, a lot of people report the same issue, it’s random.

Bought this as I wanted to move to a proper sound headset rather than a gaming one but the mic on my razer kraken x is superior.

The mic itself is really easy to set up and the stand is perfect size, the sound quality is great but I’ve had some issues regarding a static sound in the background, it’s not awfully loud but definitely noticeable. Otherwise a lovely mic

isn’t the best without krisp app there’s no noise cancellation so everyone will hear everything around you for me it was cars passing my house as the window was open but get noise cancellation software and it’s perfect microphone.

I was badgered into purchasing this for my son – I had it in my basket and when it dropped to 43.99 – I bit the bullet. For this price, the microphone is excellent and even thought the sound quality is not the best – rate it 4/5 – my son is happy and has not complained.

I do think there are tough competition when it comes to a good microphone. This was just plug and play sort of deal. But I do think there are better options for the price.

So i currently have this new from amazon for 1 pound more than the amazon warehouse review.

For the product its top, plugging my headset into it, you get all the benefits of a yeti without the cost (cost me less than 50 quid). There is phone signal interferrence but thats it vs just awesome sound.

The product is fine, amazon sold me a warehouse version “good as new” and it wasnt, missing parts, the item was obviously faulty beforehand etc. But thats not razers fault. The replacement i bought that was brand new is flawless.

This does everything I need it to do. Great sound quality and does a great job of filtering external noise and just picking up my voice.
I currently only use this on my work set up and it is amazing.

This microphone is an amazing bit of kit! The sound quality is astonishing. Only problem was that after some time a buzzing noise started taking over the input and no one could hear me over it. It lasted a good amount of time but now it just sits on the shelf collecting dust.

Pretty clear, not too many buttons but fair for the price. I’d usually expect razer products to be too overpriced but I kinda like the price for the quality of the product, including the fact that there’s no rustling when speaking into the microphone.

A fab change from headset mics and as a first studio microphone for me as well.

Great first streaming mic. Being a little experienced in audio equipment I was shocked with the quality of this mic as soon as it was plugged in. Luckily I have a very low voice and haven’t trialed it with anyone else’s voice as of yet.

No software needed, plug and play. Works well with OBS and all of my games thus far!

Amazing sound quality and feels very high quality… would recommend investing in a boom arm tho because it can be quite low down and you will have to hunch to be able to speak well

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty sexy mic tbh

Good performing mic from razer simple to set up and use, it’s cone of pickup for noise is a little annoying sometimes it will pick up the clicks of your keyboard and mouse. But overall great would highly recommend using voice-meter to boost its range so you don’t have to have it halfway in your mouth to hear your voice clearly. And wouldn’t pay full msrp would wait til it goes back on sale again for 50.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little mic, wait for sale

At the beginning I found it amazing, but then, it started picking up on all background noises.
I’ve a mechanical keyboard, and it’s picking up every click no matter how far I move the mic or how much I temper with audio settings.
I don’t think it’s a bad microphone but I couldn’t set it up perfectly no matter how many times I tried.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very sensitive

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI dont know why people hate this microphone really. It’s not bad at all.

    Voice Quality
After running tests on voice quality I believe this microphone is pretty good on sound quality. There is better available, but for this kind of affordable microphone it’s good. According to my friends, the quality is very clear and they can always hear what I’m saying with clarity. I did a voice range test within my own room and on medium gain it was still picking me up from 6-8 metres (this is a streaming microphone do in reality is going to be about 3-4 feet away from you so it will pick you up perfectly). Overall though, really good quality for this price range.

    Convenience
The mic comes with a long USB cable (high quality), a headphone jack underneath which is absolutely amazing and so convenient for me to plug my headphones into, and a stand that twists into the bottom. Other mounts such as microphone arms are available for this mic aswell.
Its worth noting aswell that this microphone is a nice cylinder Shape so it fits nicely into a backpack or laptop bag for transportation. Whilst I am definitely fond of a bit of RGB in my setup, I really love this mic because it’s only light is on the mute button. when seeing other mics like the hyper x quad cast that is covered in a red light. That light then reflects into your TV hindering your game. This microphone doesn’t do that which is nice because I can have it right next to my TV.

    Build and box quality.

Build quality of the mic is great. It’s a mix of metal and a strong plastic, it overall feels very durable.

The Box, now I have to admit I have a bit of a crush on razer packaging. All razer products tend to come packaged really nicely with a little enjoy your item card or something like that. It’s the cool little luxuries that make razer a nice company to buy from. Yes some of their things are slightly over priced, but majority of the time you will be met with a good product.

I think I’ve provided a good overview of this mic. Yes, there is better for a higher price. But for a casual streamer or just a gamer looking for a good mic, I would say this is good for you.

Sounds good, easy to set up and includes 3.5mm jack to plug headphones in a little closer which adds greater volume control. Only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that it doesn’t work with Razer Synapse 3.0 – you have to use the old Razer Synapse which is irritating to me as it’s the only “legacy item” I own and I got it so recently.

Like this microphone, I’ll leave the review short and simple. This mic is amazing; perfect clarity when recording and compact enough to place anywhere.

    Pros:
    – Incredible quality for streaming and gaming
    – Compact size
    – Simple, plug and play
    – Beautiful dark colour with lit mute button

    Cons:
    – Cable is a bit too short (but it’s detachable so you can get a longer one)
    – Lack of features (simple is perfect for beginners but for pros a mic with more functions will be better)

  29. Anonymous says:

Great sound quality. Also you can hear your own voice from the headphone jack, pretty nice function.
The stand is heavy and sturdy. The only thing I didn’t like is the two ports are too close to the joint, not very convenient to plug and unplug if the stand is attached.

I used this for recording a video presentation using a MacBook Air. It gives better sound quality than the built in microphone. I also bought a Razer webcam to complete my set up. That gives a better picture than the built in camera (although I have to admit that my MacBook Air is a few years old – the built in kit on the new ones may be better).

I bought this for 65 and it’s the cheapest mic I’ve found with decent quality sound behind it. I use it for streaming and while it’s not the best it gets the job done much better than those 30 mics. Definitely worth the extra 35. If you have another extra 40 quid then buy the blue yeti but if you need the cash buy this it’ll do you.

Pleasantly surprised with the Razer Seiren X.

I previously had an Elgato Wave 1, and let me tell ya, this mic is way better value for money. It also doesn’t have the crappy software the Wave 1 forces you to use.

In short, great product. Make sure you manually change the sample rate up to it’s highest setting in Windows 10’s sound settings though.

I’ve had this microphone for over a year now, and it’s taken its fair share of bumps and knocks, but continues to maintain its high quality to this day. Very easy to understand for usage purposes, and has a high sound quality that is likely the closest you’ll get to perfect sound quality without using XLR microphone setups!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA sleek and compact design, doesn’t take up too much desk space, but the microphone recording quality is superb. No background noise and clarity of speech. Able to be used by more than one person. Easy to connect to the computer with instructions on how to set it up. Professional packaging and quick delivery. Worth the price and highly recommend for anyone who needs a professional but beginners microphone.

Golden Review Award: 230 From Our UsersI bought this mic as a replacement for the one built-in to the Macbook Pro, for recording (or attempting to record) professional YouTube videos. The quality of the Mac mic is actually pretty good, but because it’s literally right next to the keyboard, it amplifies every keypress and mouse click and interferes with the audio. It was definitely time to invest in a quality external mic.

Before trying this, I bought a Blue Snowball Omnidirectional/Cardioid USB Microphone – White , but found the driver support (even on a plug-and-play Mac) to be hit-and-miss. Using SnagIt for screen capture, for example, would sometimes freeze the software after hitting ‘stop’ — a particularly annoying trait after recording a 45 minute video, and realising the sound driver had crashed it into oblivion. It was definitely the mic, too… using the internal mic or recording without sound never reproduced the same issue, so I gave up and bought the Razer Seiren.

Quality-wise, this is very much in the same league as the Blueball. It’s not ‘studio’ quality, but it produces a fairly even recording that tends to knock out background sound pretty well. The reason I’ve rated it 4* and not 5, is because it didn’t fair so well when used in my relatively echoey home-office. To be perfectly honest, it didn’t even sound as good as the internal Macbook mic… my voice sounded quite hollow and distant. This is a shame because I was expecting a pretty decent quality bump vs. the built-in mic… and felt the difference didn’t quite warrant the 90+ investment for my own use.

I’ve included a clip of sound, as well as a few pics to show an unboxing. It’s a very neat package, and the mic stands nicely on my desk.

Overall, I’d recommend this mic for home gaming/office used, especially in well-padded rooms with reduced echo. It’s definitely not studio-quality, but should be sufficient for streaming and non-commercial broadcast use.

If you found this review helpful, please click ‘yes’ below – thanks!

Ideal for light YouTube streaming, but quality suffers in echoey rooms
