This is the first high end non Microsoft controller that I’ve purchased. Firstly, I was finding it hard to see how Razer and Scuf (my alternative choice) could justify a RRP of 150 on their pro controllers. Double the price of most Microsoft ones. I decided against the Scuf controller purely because of their poor warranty. Only six months, which didn’t give me any faith in the longevity of their product. I spotted the Razer Wolverine chroma on Amazon warehouse soon after and grabbed it at a substantially reduced price “as new”. When it arrived all I can say is the original seal on the box had been cut but replaced. Controller was 100% NEW. I was immediately impressed with the build quality and feel of it and the ability to swap out the joysticks to achieve the feel you want. I usually use Kontrolfreek Galaxy thumbsticks for FPS games and I was able to achieve the same height setup with the supplied additional sticks. Sadly, I couldn’t actually use Galaxy thumbsticks because the diameter of the Razer ones are greater than a stock Microsoft controller. An issue on the Chroma controller if you want aftermarket add-ons. The travel and precise feel of the buttons and sticks on the Chroma make it really nice to game on, also the ability to shorten the trigger pull via the stop switches is brilliant for FPS shooters. Using the Razer app downloadable on the Microsoft store allows fine tuning and custom button mapping, including the six additional buttons built into the controller. You can also mess with the lighting effects in the app too. I’d say that after a couple of weeks use that I’m definitely faster in COD etc using this controller and can aim and fire really quickly. I’m playing predominantly in MWII and am Prestige 5 with over7000 in game kills at present, so have a fair bit of game time to assess this difference. In conclusion, I like the Razer Wolverine Chroma so much I would actually buy it at the regular price. My bargain is just another plus in this purchase. This review is completely honest and unbiased, I’m a long standing Amazon customer. If you buy this remember to register for your 1 year warranty on Razer’s website. Like most companies they then email offers etc. I got a code for 17 discount online earlier this week.

Its far superior to any standard xbox controller I have used, and the same price ( ok it has a cable but thats still great value , one with bluetooth cost additional 50 which is very very expensive for what it is )

Not sure why some others find this controller to be anything other than excellent. Build is great and it functions perfectly. Maybe a tad pricey but look around, even the most basic Xbox branded controllers are in the 70+ range.

The controller has an issue of disconnecting quite often, but it’s more durable than some controllers but the price should be reduced and the back paddles should be built with more quality as it’s quite slippery

For the longest time, I have been using the xbox elite controller V1. However I tire of the batteries depleting mid fight. As i sit in front of my PC it seemed pointless to have a wireless controller. The microswitch buttons are what make this special. Every button has a positive and instantaneous feel to it. The trigger throw can be shortened much like the elite. One minor downside is that the white LED is faaaaar too bright for a darkened room. I have stuck some blacktack over it. Problem solved. At about 60 quid this was a bargain vs elite controller @ 150.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t comfortable to use because of my small hand and I had to send back but it’s still a great product!

Bought this item due to being messed around with an order from Microsoft. Excellent product altogether and much more better quality and design than original manufacturer product. Would highly recommend. Item arrived on time from seller who were excellent. 5 stars all round.

Mainly bought the controller to play Rocket League and I must say it met all my expectations. The controller features clicky buttons, however, they still feel a bit mushy. It does feel strange at first but gets better as you get used to them. Hopefully, the controller lasts for a while.

This is a nice feeling controller. The grips are really comfortable to touch; soft and padded.

It’s a wired controller, which isn’t overly clear from the title as it’s written in German, for some reason.

The RGB lights are very customisable and a cool feature.

The tactile buttons work well and have a nice click.

Unfortunately, after ordering for my son, he really doesn’t like the controller as the shape doesn’t feel ergonomic to hold; very unnatural. That’s not saying it won’t suit other gamers better.

Nice grips and lights. Not ergonomic or comfortable to hold

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAfter owning and returning 3 elite controllers (2 ver 1 and 1 ver 2) i decided to go for this, I’ve been gaming for 40 years and this is without doubt the best controller I have ever used, very highly recommended!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have used Razer controllers for the past three years I normally buy 1 new one every year and they get heavy usage and always perform unlike when I have to buy on average three controllers of other types to cover the same period of time before they start to fail.

Good controller plays well have good response no controller drift but it feels bad to hold it’s given me bad wrists and thumbs playing with it but it is such a good control shame about the ergonomics of back button placements

The controller itself is a little larger than a regular xbox series x controller which I like.
The clicking from the tactile buttons feels great
Paddles somewhat hard to get used to but when you do there amazing

Light, cool, responsive, wired so no need to keep changing battery’s, grip is amazing! (Little tip but the black one, the white one ends up filthy regardless of how clean your hands are.. white one looks cooler but my next pad will be the black one)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe best controller I have ever used, every button feels like your using proper tactile switches like cherries on keyboard but instead it’s on the controller. The grip is perfect and shape is perfect. Works flawless in games 10/10 was worth it over the default controller. Even small details like the thumb sticks have grippier and higher quality design and material. Feels sturdy too doesn’t feel cheap at all anywhere.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery accurate controller. Feels good. Abit big for my hands took a little while to get used to but it’s a quality controller the mechanical buttons on the face (A,B,Y,X) are clicky n noise is quite loud but feels satisfying to the touch. Other mechanical buttons are the two extra buttons located near the bumpers n triggers. There was a bit of sick drift going up on my right stick but if I place it in centre it’s fine because it’s everso slightly loose going up. If you are on PC you can edit the dead zone issue on both sticks by downloading an app called Razer controller for Xbox (even though it’s for PC) but yeah that will sort out Ur deadzone so u can get precise aim on CoD or battlefield or gears of war or which ever game u are playing which needs precision. There are four paddles on the back. Default bottom two are for fine aiming the sticks making it slower. Really nice touch (never use it) others can be configured and there’s two extra buttons in between RT n RB and LB n LT. (Never use them). They give a longer stick with the standard Xbox sort of shape and a Concaved stick kind of like the PlayStation controllers. Best controller I’ve owned but might buy more in the future to compare. 150? If you have the money it’s worth it if u can overcome the small Cons. If not then settle for the gambix. Elite controllers make sense if u are using Xbox.
All in all very good controlle

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have used the Elite S1 (x3), Elite S2 (x4), Scuf (x2) and Razer Wolverine Ultimate. The Razer was hands down the best of them. After I I dropped the Razer, breaking the bumper it was time to upgrade to this Razer Wolverine Chroma. And it manages to stay as familiar as the older one, while having excellent improvements. Feels better in your hand, the D-Pad is a huge improvement, and everything that was already excellent stays so.

Recommend to anyone as being massively better than any other paddle controller on the marke

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIn the past, I always bought only original xbox controllers. In all of them, without exceptions, the usb port got damaged and stopped working after a few months of use. Yes, you can still use them “wireless(ish)”, but you will have a significant lag. So, in the end, tired of wasting money on controllers with a doomed usb port, after having tried a couple of cheaper, poor “wired” options and having sent them straight back, I decided to try this one. And finally, I am perfectly happy. It feels like an original xbox controller, but it is much better, because it is wired (the cable cannot be detached, which is good), which means that I do not have to worry about the tiny teeth of the usb port getting damaged, since there aren’t any.
It comes in a posh packaging and has got a long cable.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersRecently changed over from the Elite Series 2 after having several problems with that pad. And I can honestly say I’ve been converted.
Took it out the box and I can say it felt light it felt cheap and I wondered where my money went. But when I held the pad it instantly felt natural, deeper grooves makes your hands feel like you are holding on to the pad not clinging onto it like with the Elite 2. It is not as fully customisable as the Elite either the LEDs are nice touch but don’t affect gaming. But that’s all on the outside when you start playing you instantly know where your money went.
Mechanical buttons provide a noticeable quick instant response, the paddles on the back are perfectly placed for a natural response on pressing. The third button on by the bumpers I thought would be awkward but a nicely placed don’t interfere with the bumpers and triggers.
I haven’t changed over the thumb sticks as everything felt good. The pad comes set up using the back paddles as a clutch button now I know why, with the analogue stocks being so responsive at times like sniping on cod or scoring a penalty you need to show things down making the clutch a very handy button.
Ok it feels cheap compared to the Elite 2 but that’s where the comparison stops, where the elite 2 feels cheap inside the Razer feels built for a reason. Everything feels right responsive and built for purpose.

Built right, built properly, built with thought for gamers.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is my 3rd controller after starting gaming (ESO) at 59yrs old, (2yrs PS1&2 in my 30’s). 1st-Logitech, upgraded to MS due to re overwhelming reviews and after returning 2 controllers due to faults I saw a review of this. It’s a sensational improvement on previous ones and superbly designed & built. Seriously, I can genuinely state that since connecting this controller my gaming improved, my characters died less and took longer to die, less lag, i.e. reaction times were faster from trigger/button activation to screen impact, and it’s easier to use, better grip with convenient button layout. This is the most comprehensive review I’ve ever written but I felt compelled to share the details because the product warrants it. Don’t even think about a wire as being less convenient than wireless, I no longer have to repeatedly charge batteries and it’s always on. Unless the MS Elite is a fundamentally better device I can’t see me changing this or looking beyond the Razer brand.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had this controller for a while now, it’s one of the nicest I’ve had I think I’ve had it for over 6 months and it’s great, I’ve had no problems with it and I do recommend getting it, I may end up updating this if I can when it breaks! Only think is it doesn’t look as nice as the other controllers you can get but it’s definitely worth the money.
