I used these for walking the dogs and keeping my feet dry.
Used in the latest storm weather and kept my feet dry and worm. Easy clean mud and rain wipe off.
Recommend for walking.Great value and good quality.
What can I say!?! On their maiden voyage we got lost in the hills of Mam Tor in the Peak District due to a navigational error. Despite the much longer and more challenging trip than was anticipated, these boots held strong, firm and kept my tootsies bone dry. Historically I have always been the one to slip and land in a devestating, injury inducing position, but with these boots this was not the case!
The grip was incredible!
These boots are sturdy, comfortable and do not chafe the foot!
Magnificent!
Have only recently acquired boots so can give no long term testament to there durability. I can say that they fit perfectly (I always go for at least a half size larger to enable wearing of thicker socks) and are very comfortable. They appear to be extremely well made. Will give a further update after several months hard hiking.
Sturdy hard wearing extremely waterproof best boots for the money five stars !!!!!!
Simply the best shoes I’ve ever had. Comfortable, light, waterproof and good looking. Good price. Perfect.
As ive just got the boots they look fine worn them once comfortable but i cannot say anymore yet but pleased up to now
Wear these boots for walking my dog. Initially, they were a little stiff but did not blister my feet. I have a wide foot and these boots are relatively narrow out of the box. Ordered 0.5 size above my old boots to compensate but I could have gone with my natural size. After several months of wearing and the initial breaking in (the leather is pretty tough), I can honestly say that these are one of the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. My previous pair were Rockport and they leaked like sieves and prior to that, I had a pair of Berghause. For comfortability, these are on a par with the Rockports and are as waterproof as Berghauas. I am amazed at how rugged these boots are and after breaking in, these are so comfortable. They are totally waterproof and I have only had to apply dubbin once. If you want a perfect fit out of the box, then go spend 140. If you want a great fitting boot that keeps the water out whilst being warm and comfortable, then buy these. At 40, they are a bargain.
Good quality, nice and comfortable to wear and have kept my feet perfectly dry. No complaints at all
Purchased for my husband, who is very pleased with these boots. Very comfortable to wea
First pair of leather walking boots I’ve had in a long time that didn’t leave blisters first few weeks …very comfortable
I got a size 12 and the fit and feel are very comfortable, I did 5 miles of walking and there was no rubbing or pressure on any part of my feet.
However the lace eyelets grip the laces too tightly so it’s awkward to tighten up the slack and the laces tend to loosen as you walk. The laces could also do with being slightly longer.
They also have very little grip on wet slippery or icy surfaces but are fine on mud and on rougher surfaces. Definitely not winter boots.
These are very comfortable out of the box and for the price a h GH o to all rounde
These boots however squeak loudly every step.
Which is annoying.
Nice light walking boots. Don’t think you will get more than a year out of them, but for the price, that’s ok
Really comfortable and hard wearing (so far!) only problem was the laces were too short. Otherwise excellent boots for a good price.
Had these boots for a year now, mainly used for dog walking.
Usually wear a 10 but bought a size 11 on the advise of other reviews, which was the right decision.
Used a waterproof wax when first bought.
Boots are very comfortable, walking twice daily on all terrain for about 2hrs each time.
Although they seemed waterproof at the start the leather started cracking and coming away from the sole after 1yr letting lots of water in.
Was hoping to get more than 1yr from them but now looking for new boots
A last minute panic xmas purchase for my husband, cos I broke my arm so couldnt get to our local shops without him driving me there !!!!!!
Looked at loads of different boots – and bought these based purely on the customer reviews.
Husband opened them on xmas day and did the “new shoe walk” around the living room.
Today, typical boy, he put them on, took the dog for a really long walk through the surrounding hills in the pouring rain and ankle-deep mud. I expected him to come back with rubbed, sore, soggy feet – but I was wrong.
He said the fit was really good (size 9, wearing a moderately thick pair of sensible socks) and were really comfy – no rubbing, or pinching at all. Light to wear, totally waterproof – and good to look at.
He is really pleased with them, and is satisfied that they will definitely do the job
Product is good, but delivery update stated “parcel handed to resident”. I was in all day and no one knocked at the door. I checked at 8.30 pm (estimated time 5.45-8.45 pm) and the parcel had been left at the side of the house, not “handed to the resident.” Disappointed as usually Amazon deliveries are spot on.
Yes i was quite pleased with the purchase as the price and quality seem to tally up reasonably well and i would recommend them to anyone with a propensity for the outdoors?
When walking dogs in wet weather, you want the boots to be waterproof. I have tried several different makes of boots and shoes in the past and without exception they leak eventually. I have been using these Regatta boots for a over month and so far so good. Only slight minus point, I found the boots a touch narrow. Having wide feet, I ordered a size bigger, so not so much of a problem. as it might have been.
This pair of boots is spoilt slightly by the tongues being shorter than they ought to be and makes tying up the boots slightly unsatisfactory. They are inclined to come undone when in use for this reason.
The shoes are comfortable and fit well. I haven’t tested them in the wet yet so can’t comment on the effectiveness of the waterproofing. But the laces are not sturdy enough. I’ve only had them a matter of weeks and one of the laces split already, just not sturdy enough in the metal clips. It just sheared the outer covering and made tightening the lace impossible. I had to buy new laces and that’s not reasonable for a virtually brand new pair of boots.
They have yet to be tested in wet conditions, and will update should they not be up to the expected result.
Being very critical over any faults, I might seem petty over the fact that the laces could be longer for a double bow to be fastened as a single one will come undone.
Otherwise always pleased with Regatta products
Edit: my strong positive feelings relate to a price <<90, I don't know what else can be bought in the 90 range so I can't compare .... I bought one pair at the end of 2019 and another recently. You need to know that I did *nothing* to look after the first pair (no polish, no cleaning, nothing)... they were very slightly softer leather than the latest pair and they have become somewhat worn where they flex (I guess around 400 miles total, and maybe I should have polished then to keep then supple) but with some waterproof spray particularly on on the tongue the old ones seem fine unless it's really wet (either very wet long grass where water gets down onto the tongue, or standing water over an inch or two for more than a few meters) which is why I bought the second pair. I find the boots to be very comfortable and fit well. I am size 11 shoe (not slim feet but not I guess overly wide) and bought 11; when I walk I only wear non-thick walking socks or slightly thicker normal socks and the fits is good for me, just a very slight amount of "wriggle-room" despite my high'ish arch. Ankle support is very decent and traction is very good. I find them warm enough even in fairly cold weather (but I only walk a few (easy/moderate) miles on each outing). Not light but not at all heavy (unless covered with mud). Only con so far is a lace hook pulled out on the old pair when I yanked at a lace at the wrong angle... my fault really. Highly recommended.
