Brilliant camera but after hearing it talking it does tend to drive u mad so needless to say the voice I turned off lol
I must give credit where credit is due. This is by far the best Dash Cam out there. The clarity on the playback is just astounding. I love the app, easy to naviagte. Im putting in an order for a second unit for my back window. I can never go back to any other resolution lower than 4k now. BTW Support come back to you almost instantly. Well done Road Angel.
Brilliant camera, picture/video perfect. Easily hardwired installed. My only problem is trying to use the app for viewing my daily content’s, I’ll probably get used to it, but could do with a app update.
Relatively easy to install using the hard wire kit.
Works well quality of pictures is good and easy to operate.
Great Dash Cam. The Road Angel Halo Ultra is a really good unit. Good quality construction. Works first time unlike the Nextbase 300W I bought first which was terrible. This is a small neat unit, also went for the hard wire kit which was super easy to install. Has lots of configuration options, I personally turned off the AI bit on the camera that detects obstacles and people as I prefer to keep it simple. But overall very happy with it. Definitely recommend.
Nowadays danger seems to be everywhere, no matter what corner of the globe we find ourselves in.
Unfortunately, a large number of people are facing so many problems in their lives that they resort to actions that cause harm to others and themself.
One of the simple ways to cause damage to others, which also occur with some frequency is when driving vehicles.
We find people who cause accidents with their vehicles, and then deny everything to get out of their responsibilities.
With this Road Angel Halo Ultra, Dash Cam, Which Best Buy Dash Cam 2022, 4K UHD 140 Camera, 30fps, 64GB Storage, with Super Night View, you can get rid of various lawsuits and avoid talking too much.
As they say “a picture speaks more than a thousand words”, I ask, a 4K UHD video, is worth how many words?
I’d say 4K UHD video is worth more words than I’d be willing to dump from my mouth, especially if it’s not my fault.
The captured images are of great quality, day or night.
I dare say that this Road Angel Halo Ultra, Dash Cam, Which Best Buy Dash Cam 2022, 4K UHD 140 Camera, 30fps, 64GB Storage, with Super Night View, is mandatory for everyone who wants to avoid dumping thousands of words to justify themselves.
I’ve had this just a short time and I can say its a superb dash cam. Super quality photos and video and completely hidden behind my rear view mirror when mounted as suggested which is behind the mirror on the passenger side.
I’m still on a learning curve with it but its the best dash cam I’ve had. My HD RoadHawk dash cam took a lot of beating but this has done that. Both interestingly do not have a screen which is not an issue for me so bear this in mind if a screen is your preference.
The photo with this review is a screen shot from my first early morning video after fitting it. More expensive than most but it looks and feels very well made.
Using the mobile phone to change settings is not a big issue when you think how often you need to do this once it’s set up.
You can download photos and video to your mobile phone which I have done but can’t see much point unless you need footage for a accident claim. Hopefully not.
Not a cheap dash cam but solidly built and performs very well indeed.
Really I should mark this dash-cam down like all the other dash-cams that refuse to hold a lithium charge and would rather wire ran throughout the expanse of my car in a bid to find the nearest car plug socket.
Ok so yes the wire itself is certainly extensive but I think you’ll find the route and rules change vastly in a Citron C4 Picasso: Running the wire through the frame of the car was not desirable and I found myself going more for the back plug socket than the front in which I would have to keep the front panel open.
How do you mark down such a gem of a product with such a reason though Is it unreasonable of me to want it to hold a charge? I don’t think so as I have come across similar products that can though not specifically in the same genre
Truth is, this dash-cam is packing so much technology in its minute 110g body. All of its prowess fits comfortably in the palm of my hand and I was astonished to run some tests and found that the dash-cam had been coping in “insane” temperatures as it was in my windscreen in the intense sun. Too hot to the touch and with no idea of thermal throttling or even detection the dash cam simply performed though I would recommend not subjecting it to such heat if at all possible.
Drop outs are seldom and what you have is a very fluid rely system that directs a live feed from the camera directly to the phone’s app. This is where things keep up to standard as the app actually has one of the best user interfaces which is very intuitive to navigate through. Cognisant and aesthetically pleasing I have found it very hard to criticise the prominence here. The memory in terms of footage is detailed and has depth of time. Not only does the saved footage have my speed in a near-real-time but it also shows my GPS location and much more. To add to the magnificence of the device is the G-shock sensor which records and saves footage instantly that it suspects is a impact to the vehicle.
I was actually shocked to discover that the dash-cam talks to me to signify that it is active and has achieved GPS lock but even more impressively was its vigilance in making sure that I stayed in lane via a soft reproach and that there was no tailgating. Yes the tailgating reproach can be a bit annoying as I found it to be erroneous about 12% of the time though could be easily redeemed by the debris on the windscreen which was perhaps tricking the camera with angles and lighting.
I simply love this device despite its drawbacks and I think anyone would be a proud owner of this road angel that indeed endeavours to keep its vehicles occupants safe and protected with high resolution, valuable footage.
Very good dash cam that can be easily hardwired into the car so no cables while driving u can also used to be plugged into the cigarette lighter compartment . fits very well over the mirror , very clear image, clear pictures , took a while to install but once u managed works with no problem .
Let me start by saying, from all the dash cams i’ve ever used, this one is by far the best and most advanced one i have ever seen so far.
First things first, it was surprisingly easy to setup this dash cam, in the box you get everything you need including a small trim puller to tug in the cable.
The camera and the mount are a bit large, especially considering that the camera doesn’t have a built in screen for preview, however, there is a good reason for this as the camera is 4k quality.
Features wise, it is a 4k camera, which is really good quality, there are no problems in seeing license plates or any other important info like that, even at a distance you can clearly see details. It performs well in low light conditions too as it adapts quite quickly, the image quality being the best feature in this camera for sure, i have uploaded a short clip, but this video will not do it justice as it’s been heavily compressed for size sakes, the actual video files are quite large and the quality is much higher.
Apart from the obvious 4k resolution, it also has gps built in, so it can work as a tracker, through the app you can see the journey you took from a map perspective and from a recording perspective, so you can see exactly what happened, where and when in a map. A feature that sets this camera apart from pretty much most other dash cameras for sure.
The angle is 140 degrees of viewing, which is a bit smaller than the typical 160 or even 180 degrees, however because the resolution is so much higher, it kind of makes up for it, i’d rather record a decent 140 degrees than a mediocre 160.
It’s important to note that the camera does get a bit warm, which is only normal, as it’s recording at 4k, tracking your speed and gps locations, sending a wifi signal and recording audio as well. A lot of work for such a small device.
I have to say i’m impressed with the camera, it works really well and so far i had no trouble with it at all, the app is very functional and you can download the clips at around 3 minutes at a time, which should be more than enough, as i’m sure you will only need snippets anyway.
The camera comes in with 64gb of built in memory, there is no way to upgrade this with an sd card or anything, as for how long can it record for, it all depends on your settings, if you are recording it at full 4k quality for example, you can get around 4 hours worth of video. So keep in mind you have limited time to get your video should you need it.
Overall though, you get what you paid for, if you want the best dash cam available, this is it.
Got this road angel 4k dash cam to replace my larger old dash cam looks good and is discreet when fitted to the windscreen found it a little difficult to get it to the right position as there is no screen so you need the app on your phone as you fit it but once up running a great cam still finding features on it a month later to get the benefit of all the features you need to hard wire it to the cars electrics using the halo ultra type c RA7300C hard wire kit at about 30 from Amazon would recommend this dash cam
I got this dash camera for my boyfriends car. It’s has 4k video quality. Which is amazing. You can connect it with wife and gps. It has a clear and he night view. He loved it. Thank you
My original dash cam is starting to show it’s age a bit and the features on this Halo Ultra 4K camera by Road Angel are in a different league. Road Angel is an award-winning British brand with a decent selection of dash cams and related vehicle products with this Halo Ultra 4K model currently around two hundred pounds from Amazon. There are two dash cam models on this Amazon product page with the Halo View 2K offering a different set of features at the same price — if your car already has a rear camera — as my Focus does — you won’t need another one! The Halo Ultra 4K model can be fitted as a straightforward temporary dash cam, or you might want to consider a professional installation if you want a permanent fixture — in the box is the Dash Camera, plus a Car Connector, a Connector Cable and a 64GB SD Memory Card to get you started. The Halo Ultra 4K has so many features that you will probably not use them all at first — but as you become more familiar with with it’s operation you will find them increasingly useful. Already a Which? Best Buy this fairly new 4K model by Road Angel is certainly well worth considering when upgrading your current dash cam — but it might be a little bit too complex to use as a first camera for your car. Check the specifications and features of both models on this page to find the most suitable option for your own car — my five star rating is for the Halo Ultra 4K version which best suits my own car.
For sure this is an expensive camera but the reach amount of features, superior quality of footage, overall reliability and well deserved reviews from many independent companies do go a long way to justify the price.
I found the setting up easy and straightforward and I am happy in recommending this dash cam
A lovely and a very unique dash camera, stays in place once stuck, easily assembles and easy to set up, love the material and the colour, long lasting GB that comes with it, no problems with it whatsoever, image quality produced is excellent, nice and great in size, covers the whole road very easily, keeps you safe! Definitely recommend.
Compact device, very discrete and unassuming but looks can be deceiving as this is a powerful and multi-use device.
Slightly lacking in fitting instructions so it was a bit of a hard slog getting it properly up and running.
Some features also required it to be wired in so I’d suggest just paying a professional to do the job as it’s rather fiddly and I you don’t want to risk messing it up if your not sure.
Secure mount, doesn’t budge once stuck down.
Crisp and clear image.
Top notch recording and viewing features.
Connects to phone and the app easily and without fuss.
It feels very high tech and like I’m still only scratching the surface with its full potential but even with what I’ve already experienced so far I’m extremely impressed with its capabilities and it’s quality.
Highly recommended.
