I ordered a Ryobi because it has a growing reputation and I already had a tool in the battery swap group.
This tool feels really good quality and cuts through 4×3 like a knife through butter. It is also very quiet. It is so light and easy to control. I will certainly be re-building my power tools collection with Ryobi.

Bought this as had a lot of feather edged boarding and decking to do on my week off, always thought that these aren’t very good, how wrong was I, it’s made my work so much easier, straight edged or at an angle, so easy to adjust and does a very tidy job of cutting, don’t put your finger by the blade when it’s cutting ,
And it’s another tool to my ryobi collection, use with a 5amp battery and it goes for ages

i bought this because it was on offer and thought it would be handy for rough sizing of boards/sheets. it is surprisingly accurate with no sideways movement on the carriage or blade wobble. one gripe (which is a little unfair at this price point) is the opening where the blade plunges to make your cuts is very wide causes extra splintering on sheeted materials, but as i had a very thin piece of perspex lying around i used some double sided tape to fix it to the plate and create a zero clearance insert which fixed that problem

Good sturdy saw. Nice sharp blade comes with it. I would like to know why it is left handed? The trigger handle is to be held in the left hand. I would be used to holding any skill saw with my right hand. Other than that, it is great value for money.

Currently renovation our Edwardian house and purchased this 4 months ago and have loved every minute of using it, easy to use, sharp blade and not to heavy with the battery in. My partner has used it a few times and she has had no issue either best saw i have purchased yet.

As most ryobi tools this is great, it cut through kitchen worktops easily but I did put a 60 tooth blade on it.
It feels we built and provided enough power to get the job done.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have been using Ryobi tools for many years and have a selection – strimmer, two hedge trimmers (long & short), drill, tyre inflator … I have had the circular saw for ten years. It has done a wide range of jobs – cutting “logs”, flooring a loft with large joists, various DIY jobs. Until last week, it was working well when I had to halve a three metre length of timber. It dies on me. Later, I discovered it was entirely my fault. I should have replaced the blade some time ago but had not done so. Without the worn-down cutting edge, the blade was struggling and the motor burned out. Not Ryobi’s fault. Mine.

The beauty of the Ryobi system is one battery size fits all. Over the years, I have bought a selection, preferring the 5Ah. I bought a new saw very quickly and have been using it all morning on a range of jobs. I saw the difference in the blades instantly.

I am almost as pleased with the new saw as I was with the old one. The one disappointment is the absence of the laser guiding line which was not stated in the information. The laser line was a great help in many jobs and I cannot understand why Ryobi would decide to omit it from the new design – hence four stars.

PS Remember to replace the saw when the cutting edges wear down!

Nothing at all wrong with the item I am very pleased but, the delivery by PARCEL FARCE was appalling, it was delivered to an address about a mile from me, the driver even asked the name of the person he delivered to, Cooper, sounds a lot like Jones does it not, luckily Mrs Cooper new us and gave me a ring to tell me of the package

This is a brilliant little saw which I have used to help build a shed. There is an edging tool in the box which looks a bit like a thin ruler – it almost got thrown away with the packaging as I didn’t even know it should have one until a friend told me about it so make sure you look for it in the box – it’s a brilliant help for straight edges!

Small but very handy to have around. Using it a lot more than I originally thought I would. Helpful being cordless & quick to set up.

This is a good value tool.

Having the blade on the left of the machine is helpful in my opinion, my bigger Ryobi saw has it on the right and you have to lean over the top to keep the line on track.

Don’t forget that the nut to get the blade off goes clockwise to loosen it.

This is great for plywood and thinner jobs , but if you put a big battery in nothing phases it, it cuts as well as the blade you put i

Does the job. I already had some Ryobi products so I only required the bare unit. Can’t fault the saw.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReturned first saw as told by Ryobi they thought electrical switch prob. Second one did the same until got joiner friend to have a look. Ryobi need to put in CLEAR instructions how to attach the blade. Once done, it’s brilliant and light to manoeuvre and a great tool to use. I use it with a 1.5 amp battery. To attach blade, place screw on first then blade then screw THEN the reversible screw with the Alan key provided. Blade should spin like on a bike wheel, a spindle.
It’s easy as pie to fit once you know how to. I love it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat hit of kit for DIY or Handyman if used with genuine Ryobi batteries. The cheaper fake batteries effect its performance. Overall nit doesn’t have the power of corded saw, but still performs well if you let the saw do the work.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis saw worked for hours with a 5ah battery. It cut up 61 long planks of 25mm thick wood, some of which needed 3 cuts. Very pleased with its performance.

The joy of having the tool in your car and taking it off with you somewhere and not having to have a mains socket to operate is so good. Also, the price in comparison to other brands is great and doesn’t compromise robustness.

so easy to use, I just love how easy it is to cut through wood, quickly and quietly, pity there’s no part for the extractio

I have used this for the first time the other day, really easy to use and my vacuum cleaner fits on the extraction hose nicely creating less mess. I have a 4amp battery for this and after around two hours of on and off use the battery was probably discharged by around half its capacity. For the price it seems a nice sturdy, simple saw to add to your growing ryobi collection. I have bought this for home DIY use only.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHad to cut up multiple sheets of 18mm OSB ( Sterling Board ) so heavily impregnated with hardened adhesive. It completed the job on the one charge, and gave no trouble at all ! MUCH better without a cable to worry about !

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA fantastic circular saw. Has helped cut fence panels and afforded flexibility of moving around materials that need to be cut without having to work about cabling. Decent weight makes it light to manage any cutting job. Blade supplies with the tool has been fantastic. Used with both 2.0 and 2.5 Ah one plus batteries, this tool with this power system has been brilliant. Easy to remove saw dust and keep clean. Only sad it does come with it’s own bag like the Ryobi drill/screw driver tool. The circular saw can be adjusted to cut at angles to but I’ve not quite mastered this yet.

These tools have the right amount of power to get through reasonably tough jobs. Another great purchase demanded by project needs. Only downside the 2.0 ah battery that came with screw driver/drill set had failed within 2 months of purchasing the drill.

Highly recommend this tools for any DIY job professional or novice. Would I purchase another Ryobi one plus system tool – yes, absolutely this despite battery failure is still a great buy.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersPity about the blade. you get tear out both side of the wood on one side of the kurf and its only slightly more than 1.75 inches depth of cut . The other problem is its difficult to find different replacement blades anywhere. As with all Ryobi cordless power tools it comes minus a battery. I have seen this item with a lower price elsewhere on the internet. I havent had this machine very long so I cant comment on its reliability.
1 last thing to mention is the blade is on the left instead of on the right like other brands so takes a bit of getting used to.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had mine for a few years now. I use it quite alot. Its well built and wwll last a long time. Once you know its ability its a great tool. It wont match a electric circular saws performance but beats it for flexability.
Pros are its battery so easy to get out and use for odds n sods. Shares same battery as all the Ryobi one batteries. It lasts a reasonable amount of time for small jobs. its accurate and height adjustable. has a lazer sight.
Cons it wont cut big or tough materials very well. You have to go steady with it and know its limits. It does cut out frequently if you try push it fast.
In summary good portable tool for odds n sods but not a replacement for a electric version if doing a reasonable size job.
