This was a big jump from the Samsung S8+ for me and I have to say I am really impressed by this phone. Apps open up super fast, love the phone companion so that I can link it to my PC, camera feature is superb, battery life I can get about 2-3 days out of it. I don’t know what else to say other than I love, love this phone.

Easy to use, clear images and long battery life. Could have done better with the phone features at least e.g. where to access the battery. Unregrettable purchase.

Lovely to have 8 times the memory compared to my old phone. preferred the calendar on my old phone though the new one has stuff on there that I don’t want & can’t seem to get rid of.

Ok so my boy needed a new mobile, however due to his age he specified it be either a Google, apple or Samsung phone (yup it was time to dig deep and see what was in the coppers jar!).

Thankfully l happened across Amazon renewed and picked up this absolute gem for 175.00
It’s simply brilliant as phones go, to be honest match’s my pixel 6 with ease at half the price.

The camera and phone itself is very good, also it’s waterproof, l actually watched a guy leave it in a bowl of water for ten minutes and it still worked fine.

The only downside is that they don’t issue a charger with the phone stating carbon footprint saving the planet. But then charge you for a new charger on top of you need it lol.

Still as phones go highly recommended.

Bought for 17 year old birthday present.
    Upgraded from an older Samsung.
    Amazing camera, good battery life.
Sold as ‘old version’ but did a system update and is the same as newer versions in the shop for a fraction of the price.
Prompt delivery and product perfectly as described

Still learning everything, which is exciting and frustrating when I don’t understand anything, but in the whole it’s a learning experience

Bought for my son to replace a Samsung A50. Much faster than the 50 with a bigger screen, better battery life and newer OS. Nearly as fast as my S20 5G. Otherwise it’s a Samsung phone so works well straight out of the box with not too many quirks, same as any other Samsung.

Bought this coming from a S10 that broke and did no want to pay for refurbished model at similar price.

Battery is acceptable with one day plus heavy use.

Not freezing and acceptable overall day to day utilization.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI bought this to replace a Realme 7 Pro. I’ve owned this Samsung A33 phone for about a month now so can talk candidly about the experience. Everything feels smooth and fast, whether gaming or casual use. The battery life is very good and can last over a day with quite heavy usage i.e. a couple of hours of GPS and watching a bit of youtube/netflix. With normal usage, so checking emails and browsing the web, I can get nearly two days before a charge is needed. The charging is quite quick, not as fast as my old Realme 7 Pro with it’s 65W dart charge, but this Samsung is no slouch and still charges from about 50% to a full charge in about 30-40mins which is good. Call quality is very good – much better than my experience with the Realme which often suffered from breakup. I’ve used the Samsung A33 for making and receiving a lot of calls and it’s clear with no delay. Some downsides are the lack of a charger in the box, or phone rubber cover which is a shame. Also, if you’re used to a straight forward Android experience, be ready… Samsung has a lot of their own software they want you to use and will try to pull you into their own shop/voice activated services etc. This includes the transfer of data from your old phone to this new one where you need to download their software on your old phone first to do the transfer. I found this all pretty invasive at first, but you can just prevent the notifications when you’re set up or ignore it all if it bothers you. Just be warned if you do get the phone, the cable it comes with is a USB C at both ends, so if you want to connect it to your old school USB 3 on your PC you’ll need to buy a cable for that too. To end on a more positive note, the camera is good and takes decent photos and video, slightly clearer and more vibrant than the old Realme 7 Pro in my experience so far. The microphone is also very good on the camera and picks up sound very well. The speakers are the best I’ve had on any mobile phone I’ve owned – they actually have some bass which is nice. At the highest volume the treble gets quite shrill so I’d suggest keeping it at a couple of notches below max volume for the best experience. Overall it’s a solid phone with good performance and recommended if you can get it at a good price.

Rated 5 stars because of what this phone offers for the price of 240 (purchased from Only Branded).

    – Probably the best set of cameras available at this price point
    – Nice AMOLED screen with 90hz support
    – Great Battery Life
    – Micro Sd card support
    – Starts with android 12 with 4 years of major OS upgrades so it should be supported up to android 15 or 16
    – Waterproof
    – 6 GB of ram and an alright CPU so speeds are quite good for basically any app that isn’t heavy e.g. Games like PUBG

No charger offered in the box, but again, for all the things on offer for the price I can’t really complain about that.

My wife missed having a Samsung. Coming from the Chinese brand Realme me this was definitely a upgrade.
From a 90hz super amoled screen, to battery life she says it’s great.

Camera is much better and a similar layout like my Samsung S20 FE 5G.

For sub 200, the phone is perfect in every way.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI had to buy this phone in a hurry because, a few days before a comedy gig, I realised that the venue would only accept tickets in an e-wallet (wouldn’t accept printed QR codes). My old phone wouldn’t play ball with adding a wallet so, as more places seem to be moving in this direction, I had to go with it.

    But I have a few gripes…

Charging cable, but no plug. I’d realised a few weeks ago that I have TONS of cables/plugs and had bought a special little zipped case to store them all in. When I ordered this phone I had to gamble on me having a cable or plug that would work (would be helpful if a cable actually said on it whether it’s USB c etc.). Turned out I hadn’t, so had to have another order the following day.

Apps. WAY too many apps on, that I’ve had to systematically remove. I realise this is probably only personal to me as I really only use my phone….as a phone.

Integration. Something else that may just be me. Because I had to use the wallet Google got all over excited and started trying to dominate connections/send data to everything. Spent a lot of time saying NOOO!! to it.

No means no. But I’m still getting notifications (despite turning almost everything off) suggesting that I should add my Google account to this or allow Location details to be accessible by that. NO.

Switching off. REALLY hard to switch off. I use the Power symbol on the screen as the side buttons just don’t work. But. The Power symbol is a couple of swipes away – why?

Home screen. Having removed Weather and what have you from the home screen WHY can’t i get more app buttons on there? I’ve ended up with about 4 buttons on my home screen and have to deep dive to find everything else. Seems mad. Have looked in the manual – may have to search around forums or something, see if I can consolidate stuff more (I have 1 screen that only has an Outlook button on it).

Graphics. Graphics are nice and colour good / images clear.

    Photos. Takes a nice photograph.

Update 4-6-2023: Phone is now offering to get rid of apps for me (Hurrah!) as it’s recognising what I don’t use. But it updates FAR too much for my liking. When it starts nagging about wanting to do an update you have to leave it for 10 minutes. As I barely use any of the functionality – pretty irritating.

One final point though (and the real reason for me updating) is that, initially, I dropped this phone more than all the other phones that I’ve previously owned combined.

It’s wider than my tiny little hands can comfortably grab and sooooooooo slippery. Finally bought a “rubberised” case, that clips around it, and haven’t dropped it since.

It was time for a new android mobile and securing last years model is always a winner.

As with all smartphones the battery life isn’t the greatest. as long as it gets you through the day, that’s the best you can hope for. Checking the news and viewing hours of social media takes its toll on the device battery.

This is a strong mobile with a great camera. Fantastic processor speed. Biometrics are under the glass and very responsive.

If you are looking for a mid range android and dont need the latest version, this is the one for you.

I have only today opened the box and discoveries, discoveries. This was a replacement phone for an overused and much-dropped Galaxy S9, which I loved, so my replacement had to be both good, functional and a great deal cheaper because of a very competitive market now. I read up on all the reviews. I was thinking of buying another S9 (the price has come way down) but no more updates. Then I read up about the Galaxy A52, but it’s two years old, and while a great phone by the sounds of things, I don’t have use for two sim cards. So, this Galaxy A33 5G hit the ticket in the end. Reasonability, barely a year out of the Samsung womb, and all the very special features my S9 had and more. Plus, updates. I also purchased a lovely, well-made cover from iCatchy which I am sure will “house” my new phone perfectly. The battery came with 45% and did take a little while to charge and after using it for a couple of hours and transferring data to it etc I found it went back down to 45%. Whether this is any indication of how well the battery will last, time can only tell. But all that aside, it is a fabulous purchase for its fair and equitable price tag.

I was a bit wary buying this, as the price for a sim free seemed amazing value compared to buying it from a phone shop. I’ve only had it a few days, but so far no problems with it at all. Works fine with my network, transfer over via Samsung switch was very easy. I knew it didn’t come with a plug, but I didn’t realise the USB C cable was a USB C at both ends, so had to get a plug too! Glad I bought it as it’s got great reviews and good value for money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe phone is fine but its very awkward to turn off, its longer so may fall out of your jacket pocket but all in all a nice phone and far better than the A22 5G due to a better screen, free gifts like the GPS tags and case are also a bonus but applying for them is designed to put you off.(this is an amazon offer and not the sellers offer) updates fine and currently on the 3 network, switches automatically from 4 G to 5G ,no wireless charging is a drawback and NO PHONE CHARGER just the USB-C lead, ,taking that into consideration the phone needs to be cheaper as you have to buy a fast charger. 6BG of ram will ensure you have enough to do things but I bought the phone for phone calls/emails only. MY Galaxy S5 still works well from 2014 but can not update it anymore hence a new phone !, lets see if it lasts 8 years like my old phone, received my free gift of 4 Samsung GPS Tags and a Samsung case, Tags are fine but the case is not very good.

Really like this phone. Upgraded from Samsung J6. So this is larger and easy to use. Battery life amazing. Can get 2-3 days out of it easily even with playing games on it.
