I guess with renewed products, it’s a bit of a gamble of what you get and how it was looked after before hand. The Samsung A70 I purchased was in very good condition and works perfectly well – I can’t fault it. No one would know it’s a renewed product. Very pleased with this purchased as I was dreading the purchase have read some negative reviews only after I had ordered it. Credit where credit’s due.
Mobile phone arrived promptly in a well packaged plain white box in grey bag package. Contents consisted of mobile phone and generic charge data cable.
Phone good quality and battery held it’s charge well. Thank you.
+ had this phone for 2.5 years now
+ very happy with battery life, its still fast, and the screen is excellent
+ I dropped this phone numerous times, sometimes screen down: it still holds and not a single crack.
Great little phone, everything is perfect, battery lasts for about 2 days, a lot of nice new features, finger scanner on screen is great, charges super quick. Camera is not the best I had but still good enough.
Having dropped my original Samsung mobile in a bucket of water I needed a similar refurbished mobile without delay! This company provided a good quality replacement in super quick time. ( it arrived within one day) It was described as being in ‘B’ condition and I was more than happy with it’s appearance.
I bought this phone to replace my Samsung S7. I love this phone it has the majority of the features of the top range samsung without the price tag. I have only had this phone for a few days but have not had to recharge the battery ( I was recharging my S7 four times a day), the clarity and speed are exceptional. I would recommend this phone to anyone. The person who recommended it to me said that it was as good as the top range phones but the price was kept down as the phone was plastic, not metal. This does not worry me. I will definitely be recommending this phone to anyone who wants to upgrade or purchase a new phone..
Having come from a old windows phone this A70 Samsung is a great phone it’s a good bright and right size screen for me , I’m still finding my way round the pie android format but I’m getting there the finger print recognition is great and fast,I suppose for people there are better phone’s on the market but for the price and size for me it’s great phone.
At first I had never heard of this phone but I did a bit of research online and I have been pleasantly surprised on the quality of this phone for the price. I have had mine for 2 months now and the battery life is just amazing, it would probably take me more than 2 days for my phone to die, as you can tell it has never happened. The picture quality is really good too like most of the Samsung phones. I always had a Samsung Galaxy phone so I did not know what to expect of the A series.
Definitely almost as good as the S10 for the fraction of the price. Well worth the buy.
So happy with it that both my sister and my daughter want the same phone.
Haven’t needed to use the face recognition because the fingerprint scanner is easier to use. The scanner is very good but I only have it 4 stars because it is noticeably slower than an exposed one. The difference isn’t bad enough to sway you from buying the device however as it a great value phone.
Good specs for the price (the CPU) could be a little better but for under 300 I can’t complain. It took some time to get used to the size of the phone but it’s still a little awkward to use one handed.
The real strength of the device is the beautiful AMOLED display and the large battery. Gaming performance is solid and expandable storage is always nice.
Overall good performance for the price with a slightly lackluster CPU and awkward size.
Excellent phone, upgraded from a google pixel and this is in another league, it’s far more responsive and fits perfectly in my hand.
The ability to expand the storage is a massive bonus
Great phone, the figerprint reader can be a little off sometimes but happens rarely, the camera has great face recognition so its great for photos the battery life is really good lasts longer compared to my last model of phone i had. (Windows phone)
Can’t use the product, it’s in the hands of a young man who knows about phones, when he has set it up for me I will start a difficult learning circle. not happy at all !
I have a new works iPhone and this device knocks that into a cocked hat. The device is larger than you would think but the screen is incredible. Much clearer than the apple equivalent. It feels faster too. It also has much longer battery life and it’s a third of the price of the Apple. If you enjoy being stupid and mugged off then buy an Apple. If you want a proper device you can live with an enjoy that has great battery life, is more intuitive to use then buy this.
The phone is great until the fingerprint scanner doesn’t like your finger being the slightest bit dirty or wet. So if your out and about and it’s raining or your eating food you have to put your passcode in. Otherwise the phone is amazing in every other way.
I’m quite happy with my new mobile phone; the screen is big enough, the battery life is really good too and the camera(s) take lovely pictures. I’d recommend this model although it isn’t the newest one on the market.
Fingerprint sensor is a bit meh, but I’m not bothered by that anyway. The phone is a little slower than its iPhone equivalent, however it is also less than half the price. If you desperately want that little bit of extra power go for the iphone, but for less than half the price and featuring a 3.5mm headphone jack, I would strongly reccomend considering this phone!
I like this phone, its got a lovely, big, crisp screen. Nice battery life and fast charging. So far so good. Apart from the fingerprint scanner is a bit useless
What I can say is, I simply love this smartphone.
My recent was the Galaxy S9 (non plus version), and this Galaxy A70 does what that other smartphone does but better, with the exception of the cheaper price tag. The A70 has more RAM (came with the 6GB model), and big camera improvement thanks to the triple camera setup. The fingerprint scanner is now optical (on the screen) which might throw some people of compared to the scanner which is on the back part of the S9 smartphone, but not for me, as I prefer using the screen itself to unlock my A70. Last thing I would like to mention is the addition of the 123 degree camera mode built in, which basically zooms way out and widens the camera view, so it is like what the human eye can see, which is quite cool! Also is just as great if not better, and competes with the flagship brands out there, including Samsung’s own range.
Overall, fantastic smartphone from Samsung, and would recommend people to buy it if they don’t want to go all out and buy a flagship Samsung. 10/10 🙂
Coming from an old smartphone a Nokia Lumia to a fairly mid-top range phone I was a bit apprehensive about how quickly I would adapt to this Samsung A80 but it was almost with 30 mins I was an expert. Great battery life and easy to navigate home screen.
Been using now for a month and no complaints whatsoever.
I am over the moon with this phone!!! Love it to bitsthe box was a bit mucky and the phone had a slight scratch on the screen but its brilliant!!!
Better than my Samsung S8 !!!
Large and bright screen, good battery life, good connectivity on both Wi-Fi and 4G. This phone does everything needed. Perhaps the spec isn’t up there with the flagship phones but, unless you do a side by side test, you’d be hard pushed to see the difference.
Overall, very good value and very good quality for the money.
Considering the price, I was expecting the camera to be better. The 32MP thing is a bit of a lie, 99% sure the sensor is only 8MP and the Samsung camera app either stitches 4 together or, judging by the quality, interpolates up to 32MP. I figured bigger brands like Samsung would be above this but I guess not. The fingerprint scanner takes a bit to get used to as well and it’s quite slow when it does recognise your finger but it’s fine as far as in-screen readers go. The notch is inoffensive and the front camera is adequate. It’s also a bit top heavy so be careful if you have smaller hands. The rest of the package I can’t fault! Very snappy, gets me 2-3 days of on time (a couple of hours of music a day, some light social media, a few photos etc). The nearly-full body screen looks great too! I can’t go back to bezels now.
Been happy with my Sony Z3 which has served me well for many years and still going strong but has run out of internal storage. Current service provider wanted all my vital organs and sign my life away for 3 year to get a half decent phone. I said bybye and went elsewhere sim only. Researched best phone and this one came up as best mid range phone.
Been a couple off weeks and so far soo good. With the latest Andriod version phones Brill! Action packed with settings to tweak and tinker. Screen is beautiful and dual sim works well for my work line. I love music and the DAC/amplifier on this phone is 1st class and loud! I don’t have to have it set to the max even in loud areas. Camera is brill too! Clear bright colours with lots of features. One thing missing is if latest version of andriod there’s no dedicated button to turn off the shutter sound. EU regs!
Smaller people or small hands may find this phone too big so make sure you are happy with the size. Still getting a feeling of the battery life but don’t think anything beats Sony stamina mode. Def lasts a day and a half with good use but I’m not using all the fancy features – always on display, finger and face reader, vivid display.
Overall happy and worth the purchase
Haven’t found any faults with the phone other than the fingerprint scanner (it really is as bad as other reviews say). Battery life is the best of any phone I’ve owned. Screen is a great size for watching videos but you might have trouble fitting it in your pocke
I don’t make a lot of voice calls (but call quality is good) , and I don’t play games on the phone or use social media.
But, I do surf on the phone a lot, read ebooks, and text – so big, high quality screen was very important to me.
With my usage patterns, I can get more than 2 days between charges, sometimes more than 3.
Dual SIM is handy, will get a cheapo PAYG SIM from EE or O2 for extra coverage
Plenty of internal storage, plus memory card.
Haven’t done much experimenting with the camera yet, so can’t comment on that.
Found the finger-print reader ok, but in the end found a PIN to be quicker and more reliable.
Overall, impressed and very pleased with it – worth the money !
Nice big samsung screen, good quality. Previously I bought a pocophone and returned it because the screen was a bit washed out coming from a note 4.
Fingerprint scanner as people mention is extremely poor indeed. Have latest updates (up to end of July).
But face recognition is incredibly fast which I prefer using anyway, just open up my little book case and bam its on.
Call reception is pretty much the same as my old note 4, maybe slightly inferior actually.
The system seems fast/responsive but that could be because my old phone was becoming so sluggish. But performance is what I would expect from a new phone at this price.
I drive a lot and the googlemap experience has been problem free so far.
Battery life impressive (for now), not replaceable so hopefully it does not deteriorate too much within the next few years. Charging upto approx 80% is very fast indeed, but the last 20% or so is slightly slower to charge.
Overall extremely happy with the device, the big screens are what I like and this one pushes it even further, you really appreciate the extra screen real estate.
Would add that the official samsung gradient case is very poor, its slippery and honestly just a nasty thing. The official samsung book case is much nicer, good material to hold onto.
Huge screen…makes my old S7 look tiny. Fingerprint lock is as slow and unreliable as everybody says. Possibly worse. But face unlock v quick if somewhat less secure. Camera app a bit limited but others are available. Ultrawide is nice. Battery life is excellent as you’d expect .. but shame there isn’t an option to stop charging once you hit 80% max charge, to prolong overall battery life. Comes with a transparent case in the box and NFC in UK.
UPDATE
Still v happy, except suspect this handset was supposed to be for the Abu Dhabi market: online manual was originally in English but now it and the Bixby Youtube plugin are both in arabic and won’t change back.
