Good price, however too thin and screen shattered from 20cm drop.

Im no tech wiz but love to play games and after buying a cheaper tablet that wasn’t so good I treated myself to this and it’s excellent as far as I can tell. Cheap one I keep upstairs and this is my prime one ..very happy

Not as sensitive as previous Galaxy tabs but maybe that’s just me. I have had several but this is the best one of the Galaxy tabs that I have bought. I would certainly buy this again. The colour is extremely good.

    Battery life is really good.
When watching Netflix, for example, you need to know, exactly, where to touch on the screen. Otherwise, you keep touching and hoping the header and footer will pop up so you know where to press.
I’ve also noticed that with some videos calls, the image tends to look green. Sometimes, goes back to a normal color. I’m not sure why this happens but my old iPad never had that problem.
Appart from that, the quality of the image is quite sharp.

The price to value proposition on this tablet is incredible! I decided to save money over the much pricier option the Galaxy Tab S7 & I don’t regret it. The screen is every bit as good as the one on the S7 as it is Super OLED too. The quad speakers are great but I prefer headphones (snapped the deal with the Galaxy Buds so no complaints about losing the aux input). The thin bezels, thin profile and side fingerprint scanner make this feel very premium. I thought I’d miss the S-Pen that comes with the S6 Lite but an aftermarket passive stylus does the job just as well. Some bluetooth/wireless accessories easily make this a very special device – keyboard and mouse would do.

I ordered this tablet to follow along and annotate university lectures. Initially I was disappointed when I realised that a pen wasn’t supported to help writing (my mistake for not checking!), but found one (Homder) that works with it pretty okay. The samsung software is brill – fast and looks aesthetically good. Supports all the apps I needed it for. A perfect portable size. Been really useful and would definitely reccommend. Just watch out if you’re looking for something to write on as probably not the best model for that…

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was deciding between a tab 6 lite and this tablet as they were similar prices, tab 6 lite is newer but I wanted the Amoled screen. I was also unsure whether to get the 6gb ram, 128 storage or 4gb ram 64gb storage and went for the 4gb ram in the end which works perfectly well and is fast enough for me. The screen is lovely and can be used in bright light outside. The speaker are also really good. I have not noticed any WiFi issues. Regarding the jelly effect when scrolling, yes you can see it but it’s not too bad and as soon as you stop scrolling you can quickly clearly read what you need to, for me it’s not noticeable enough to stop me thinking this is an excellent tablet.

I decided to upgrade to this from my 5 year old ipad mini which I used primarily for all the usual video services, netflix prime video disney+ twitch YouTube etc.

I did a fair bit of research as I didnt want to overspend but also wanted the best bang for my buck.

I quickly ruled out a newer ipad or ipad mini and was torn between this and the Samsung tab 6 lite. I settled with this one and was not disappointed

If you are like me and just want a decent tab for video content this is the one to go for, yes the tab 6 lite is newer and the same price as the but it actually has a worse screen (1080p only, this is QHD 1440p) and less speakers so the tab 6 lite has worse audio quality.

I highly recommend this product a great mid range tablet for watching video in the best possible detail at this price poi

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love the fact that my tablet holds its battery all day and beyond but, that said, I don’t like it as much as my old Tab S2. It is not as easy to use in terms of getting back to the home screen and other basic functions. I am 68 and don’t need a tablet to do all the things this one can no doubt do but I do need it to stay connected to the internet in my sitting room. This will be the fault of your internet connection you may say. However, my husband can be sitting beside me with my old tablet (now his) and he will have internet and I haven’t. This happens every day. It won’t get Internet in the conservatory but the old tablet will. So basically, apart from the fact that, being newer, the battery lasts longer, I wish I hadn’t bothered buying it.

The Galaxy Tab 5e is great. At first sight it looks smaller than 10.5″ but that is not the case. It is also very slim compared to other tablets. The face recognition works well to open the tablet. It is very fast with a clear and sharp screen. I am delighted with it and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI argued with myself for days about buying another tablet to replace my Samsung 7″ TabA. Anyway, I gave in and made this purchase and I’m so glad that I did. It really does live up to it’s physical description, ultra thin, lightweight etc. The only problem that I found was that it’s almost too lightweight if that makes sense. The edges are so sensitive that while holding it I kept minimising or closing down the page I was on. Also I found it a bit slippery to handle and felt it might easily slip from my grasp, fall, and break. I immediately ordered a suitable , good quality cover which has instantly solved the problems. Yes, it’s now heavier but not too heavy so I like that. Also, I’m not handling the edges of the screen and accidentally closing pages, plus the cover stand makes it easy to prop up on a table or my lap so less handling and much easier to work with. I highly recommend investing in a good quality case. I’m used to Samsung phones and tablets so I felt comfortable with the layout straight away. It was very easy to use the Samsung Smart Switch App to transfer all my data from my previous tablet to this one in just a few minutes, the same as I have done with my Samsung smart phones. It has a good, high quality screen. Fabulous for photo’s and Kindle reading and all my usual browsing. So far so good and I’m a happy bunny.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve never really been a fan of the whole Apple inbred ecosystem. The flexibility to choose different manufacturers using the same OS has really been my plus for Android based systems.
Honestly this tablet is fantastic for its price. I’m so glad I choose wisely and ditched the old Apple one. Now all my devices are Android.

Very good tablet for the price. They should have made it a bit thicker and put a headphone jack in. All companys need to understand if a product is 2mm thicker to leave the headphone jack in its absoloutely fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is for me the perfect tablet, it’s wide-screen, it has fantastic speakers and a fantastic screen. The dolby atmos is superb, surround sound on a tablet! I only use mine for Internet and video, Netflix, amazon prime etc and for me it’s perfect.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve had several Samsung tablets previously that I’ve retired for various reasons. My prior Tab 4 was just getting a bit slow so I replaced it with this. With 50 off on Black Friday and given that the tab S6 is out, this was a great buy at 329.

The tablet is really slim and feels luxurious to the touch. On getting it out of the box, the initial time to charge it to 100% felt a bit slow but since I normally set it on charge overnight, in reality this isn’t a problem. I’m a huge fan of Android over iOS and set up of this as with any other Android device is really simple – especially if you’ve had one previously.

The display is ultra clear and responsive. Far superior to my work iPad Air. Crystal clear display and blue light options. Sound is equally great. Given that I mentioned that speed of using my older Tab 4 was an issue to me, this tablet is immensely quick. I flick between various apps really quickly and haven’t encountered a single issue to date on that front.

My only gripe, and I saw several comments about this both on Amazon and Samsung Support’s website, is that the tablet appears to like dropping off it’s WiFi connection randomly for some reason. If I’m playing an online game then this proves massively frustrating.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis tablet is fast. The sound is brilliant when you turn on Dolby Atmos in the settings. In fact I was blown away by the sound using Dolby Atmos.
Really great screen, nice and bright and colourful. Very sharp. And it’s a surprisingly lightweight tablet. Even with arthritis I have no problem holding it for long periods. Well worth the money especially with the 50 discount at the moment. It doesn’t have a headphone socket but there’s an adaptor in the box to connect headphones thru the USB C connector which works

Too soon to give a big review. So far so good. Fairly easy to set up. Not too sure about the charger as can only use the one it came with and no other usb eg: Not micro usb as can damage unit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBattery life not as good as I expected but the product is very good overall. Getting used to not having fixed buttons takes a little getting used to but it’s better once done. Decent screen. Facial recognition doesn’t seem to recognize me which is odd since my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone has no trouble.

Golden Review Award: 72 From Our UsersThis is a great tablet, very impressed Samsung. There are plenty of review videos kicking around, so I won’t go into too much detail, but there are a few things worth mentioning.

This tablet is light and thin, really thin, honestly almost too thin! I have a Note 8 which is 250g, this tablet is just 400g. That means holding it for reading is almost effortless, at night with the bluelight filter it’s a great device for reading kindle books. A slim Spigen case is perfect to project this little device.

The fingerprint reader on the power button doesn’t get enough credit. You don’t even need to click the button, just hover on it. It reads at the same time, powers on and you are signed in for one press, it’s quick and convenient. Have a finger on each hand so you are covered for portrait or landscape sign in, it’s perfect.

Android 9, with One UI on works great at this size/form-factor. Do a quick search in the Samsung store for Good Look, install their add-ons
and it supercharges it! Split-screen is a pleasure to use.

One cool thing, I found a USB C to USB A adapter, this means I can connect my camera (750D) and download my pictures straight to the tablet.

If you are in the market for a solid Android tablet, you can’t go far wrong with this one. If you want to rule everything, then wait for the S6, but if you want a nice, solid, companion device, you will like this one.

Samsung s5 great. Same price and 2 year warranty as currys. I’m happy to use Amazon.
S5 is light and thin. Very similar to my s10 mobile. Easy to use and smart share makes it so easy to change.
