Lovely looking watch. You can change the watch faces. I like the old fashioned pink watch face. App not very detailed as most of it uis on the watch itself but I would prefer it to be the same. Needs to be charged every other day.

I wish the battery was better and also the navi is a bit annoying but overall it is a very ice watch.

I have had the Galaxy Active 2 for few months now.
Design – watch is very nice, lovely strap and comfortable on the wrist. It is very light
Functionalities – I mainly use it for tracking steps and it seems there are some differences with the Fitbit I used before. doesn’t seem as accurate as the fitbit, same for the heart rate
App – the app is good and easy to use
Battery – i set it up to turn on only when I turn my wrist. By doing this, it can last 2-3 days

Overall – happy with the product, surely can be improved in some functionalities but it is great value for money

Lovely design and functions but the battery lasts for a day and a half and I only use it to see the time and track my workouts. I had a Fitbit versa previously which would last for 3-4 days without having to be charged so it is kind of a pain to have to charge the galaxy watch every other day. Other than that it is a good smart watch.

Ive don’t like watches, I don’t wear watches. Not taken this off since I bought it…. Battery a but short but lasts a day for the most part. Don’t use it for sleep tracking however fir exercise and heart rate it’s very good. Notifications work well, Bluetooth can be annoying short distance but that’s probably my house as it has thick walls. Recommended I live it loads.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was skeptical about buying a smart watch, I tried one at the lower end and fell in love with it. Within 3 days of purchase, I went online and bought the Samsung Active 2, and my goodness, I am so glad I did.

Packed full of features like sport tracking, heart best, sleep pattern, movement, it also boasts a ton of features to really make the watch personal to you.

As someone who’s not that active, the watch consistently reminds me to move about, especially during work. If I can’t move, it will ask me to stretch. It’s very intuitive. I love the fact that you can really make it personal like changing the watch face, the battery consumption and what apps you prefer to be notified for. You can set alarms, do not disturb, night mode etc. So handy!

What I am enjoying the most is the app function. I can make and take calls from my phone! Send SMS and reply. I can quick reply to Insta DMs, Snapchat etc. It’s really good as you have various ways to reply, such as voice.

I have small wrists. Childlike almost but the watch fits perfectly on my wrist. It’s small, lightweight but feels so good. And looks gorgeous. I went for the black version as its my fav colour.

The battery life is so so. Could be better but it last like 2 days which isn’t too bad. Do remember this is via Bluetooth. So one thing I’m happy about is, if I’m downstairs directly under the room where I left my phone, I can still use it! Which is awesome so the range is quite far. And the watch has Wi-Fi! Which I’m not sure what it’s used for! Haha will figure that out later. The mobile app is really good. Easy to use and set up. Very handy!

Overall I’m in love with my watch. I thought it was gimmick but trust me it’s not. It’s very useful! And the rotating bezel is to die for. Aaahhh Samsung smashed it!

Theres nothing that I have disliked about my watch I brought 2 1 for me and 1 for my daughter for her birthday. I wanted it more to record my workouts. Which is great it has every workout you can record on there and if it doesnt you can record it on Other workout which works brilliant. Its great for my steps a day as working from home I needed to make sure I get my steps in for sure. I can answer my phone on the watch and send whats app messages or messenger text messages. My other apps come up too instagam and facebook alerts but you can turn them off if you want to. There are many features on the watch and probably some I have not come across. But you can add your own apps to it as well.

All in all a good buy and I was lucky enough to get a deal off when Amazon were doing 20% off and also qualified for the cashback reward from Samsung

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood product and very useful. I like the fact you can take calls through it and it also has strava as an app which is great. However the main reason it’s not a 5 out of 5 is the battery life. I had a Huawei smart watch before this and although it didn’t have the same capabilities as this watch, the battery life was 10 times better. I could go a whole week without charging it. I find myself charging this watch once every 2 days. I’m not even using it all that much when it comes to the apps so it’s not down to the usage as to why its got a bad battery life.

Other than that, the watch is great. I do wish I had gone for a bigger size though.

The pen next to the watch in the picture is more for size reference.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy husband bought one last year and I wasn’t bothered about having one especially at the full price. But the Prime Offer price on Amazon and then Samsung was giving 50 cash back it was a no-brainer!! I absolutely love it being able to track my fitness and answer phone calls and look at emails and texts is wonderful. It looks so feminine and smart as well. Can’t recommend it highly enough

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDon’t know why people saying they didn’t review a uk one, mine is and is perfect, long lasting battery, even while using it at work, lasts 2 and a half days – 3 days from full charge. Customisation is really good, loads of apps and accurate step counter. Also better than an apple watch.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI had my reservations about this product but im so happy that this product has stepped up. very easy to link to your phone, app is easy to navigate and its so easy to make it just a fancy watch if you don’t want to be bothered by all your notifications or you can set it to remind you every hour to stretch them legs!
its great at tracking my sleep as well as my cheeky afternoon cat naps. with the app i ca

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have had this watch for a good time now to review this product.

    Fitness:
I have been using this for fitness and the fitness tracking it great. It breaks it down into 5 different categories. Maximum, Anaerobic, Aerobic, Weight Control and Low Intensity. The heart rate monitor is good and I used it to track my treadmill run and the distance in accurate. There are a variety of free weight options that it can track and it is accurate at doing that too.

However you cannot start a workout from your phone and use the watch’s data. It will only use do it without. So you will need to start it on the watch to get your HR and all that monitored.

Overall it is great for fitness and I would recommend it for anyone who is doing so. It comes great calibrated out of the box and you don’t need to put your stride length in or anything like that.

    Battery Life:
I would say that battery life is good and however the Fitbit versa 3 for example has a much longer battery life, due to the lack of features inside. But this would easily last a day or even a day and a half in my use cases.

    Smart Watch Use:
The rotating bezel on this is great that is build in the software is a decent replacement for the bezel as it makes the watch more barrable to wear and not as bulky especially during an exercise. You can make calls of it and do all the usual stuff a normal smart watch would do. It has a decent amount of internal storage and is feature packed and you can find out more about those on YouTube video’s overall.

    Conclusion:
As I have a Samsung phone I would say this integrates well with the Samsung health app and does a great job and tracking fitness and has a lot of useful features.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersGood heart rate tracking and GPS is accurate. As good as the fitbit ionic I have. Battery life is not so good but if you get into the habit of charging it daily it isn’t bad. Sleep tracking not so good with deep sleep. My Ionic said I had 1 hour 35 mins deep sleep and the samsung said 1 minute. Blood pressure monitor is not good. It doesn’t matter how many times I calibrate it, it pretty much stays in the same range, but my cuff says it is way different.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersReally like the way it looks and that I can get notifications and messages through on it. I can also listen to music through it without headphones if I want. Battery life isn’t great but I don’t tend to wear it whilst I sleep so I just charge it then. If you are a samsung lover I would definitely recommend because it pairs beautifully with other samsung devices and apps. Samsung pay works really well also. I don’t think I would recommend if you didn’t have other samsung devices though, I suppose you wouldn’t really go for this if you didn’t already have a samsung phone.

4.0 out of 5 stars I like it a lo

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersGreat smart watch/fitness tracker, had a few and this is the best for me and it’s a very comfortable watch to wear. The only downside is battery longevity, the battery lasts a few days at best but I knew that from other reviews and isn’t an issue. Overall very happy with the watch and the price was great at the time of purchase.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersAbsolutely love this watch, my hubby bought it for me in the amazon sale, does a lot more than my other smart watch that I had before, I do think the battery could be a little better but I am getting roughly 2 days out of it and as I love the watch for all it can do, I can forgive that. The mobile app is very easy to use. I personally don’t use it for sleep tracking, so cannot comment on that, I can however take and make call (as long as my phone is within Bluetooth range)without Bluetooth earbuds as it has a speaker, and I can hear music straight from the watch if I want to. Also strap is very comfortable, it tucks underneath and doesn’t catch on things, I would recommend this watch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely watch.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersSo this watch is nice, don’t get me wrong. But for what it is, the price isn’t justified in the slightest. I got it on deal for about 180, which I would still say is priced too high. Of course this is subjective, and everyone will have a different idea of what is and isn’t good value for money. But for me it’s just not good value. I will give it 4* because it’s a good smartwatch, and I think those of us who will buy this know it’s not something that will change your life and it’s just a cool little gadget.

The number one reason I got the watch was for the exercise tracking abilities and workout guides. Frustratingly, this seems to be where the watch fails. Upon using the workout options it became clear that these functions are almost entirely pointless. For example, when using the dumbbell curls options on the watch, it instructs you to put your arms in the correct position for you to start. THE WATCH CAN’T READ THE POSITIONING OF YOUR ARMS, so it never starts and renders the entire option completely pointless.

This happened again with the stretch function. The watch told me I haven’t moved in a while and asked if I would like to run through some quick stretches. I pressed start, the watch tells me to put my arms in the correct position….can you guess what happens next? It can’t recognize my arm movements. Again, a function rendered entirely useless. How about a simple ‘Start’ button? They must have realised this function doesn’t work before releasing it to the public.

The watch itself is really nice and is highly customizable. I love the ability to change, download and customize your watch face.

It also pairs perfectly well with my S20+ and I have had no issue whatsoever on that front.

The band is very comfortable to wear and doesn’t scar my skin like a FitBit will. Extremely easy to switch bands and there are plenty of really cool options out there to choose from.

The Spotify feature is also really nice. You can download Spotify songs straight to the watch, though it is a bit of a headache. Still though, this is a great feature.

Notifications pop-up almost instantly, which is great if you use 2FA on any accounts for work etc.

The watch also has a speaker built-in, which scared me a bit when I answered my first phone call on it.

All-in-all, if you like technology then you’ll probably really enjoy this watch. Just understand that it has it’s limits and some things just simply don’t work.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersWhy you need this watch…
Connects really well with phone app, messages and calls come through.
Great size, not too big and clunky.
So many great straps to choose from.
Easily customisable, you can change the watch face, app options and background colour.
Battery life lasts about 3 days if you use it constantly.

    Things to consider…
You can’t reply easily to a text on this watch.

Overall it’s the best watch I’ve ever bought and I don’t regret buying i

It has a quality weighted feel unlike plastic fitbits. Syncs easily with my s10+ and meets all my needs. New blood pressure monitoring coming soon confirmed by Samsung. Correction it does do sleep tracking! ***** from me highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersSome bad reviews on here are from different sellers. Mine i got from Samsung supplied by amazon, anyway The active 2 stainless steel gold lte which i bought was 330 the apple watch stainless steel gold lte cost 699. I have the AW4 and ive compared them both the A2 looks so much better (both are 44mm) the A2 works with the iphone and android the AW4 works only with the iphone. Not many apps for the A2 but all the main ones you need so no problem there also you can watch videos or surf the net on the A2 fall detection blood pressure and ecg comming soon (delayed by covid19). using the A2 as a stand alone it works just as well as the AW4 and NO you dont need to raise your watch to your face, just use it like you would a pair of headphones, your wrist could be on the table or hands in your pocket and hear and speak fine great for hands free when driving. with screen always on mine last nealy 3 days with the AW4 i have to charge it every night. I will not be buying from apple again this is so much bette

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI love this watch! It’s gorgeous, it’s very sturdy and does everything you’d want from a smart watch.

My first smart watch was the applewatch and when I went to an android phone I was wanting a similar standard smart watch and I finally have one that’s better!

This watch has amazing battery life, has all the capabilities you’d expect and want and I’ve been wearing it everyday to work and it’s yet to scratch or look “worn”. It’s great!!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOk so to preface the review, I have always been interested in smart watch tech but the limiting factor has always been battery life. This watch strikes the right balance. The first couple of days the battery life seems poor, I’ve witnessed it on both mine and my partners but after the initial period the battery life does seem to improve. I’ve had 4 days on a charge with minimal use, 2-3 days with exercise recording 1 hr per day. I won’t go into the details of what the watch can do as you already know this, what I will say is if you’ve been holding off because of battery life concerns, I think this is now the time to buy.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersBought this watch to help motivate me to run and it has certainly done the trick.

Battery life is really good and the accuracy of the GPS and heart rate monitor seem spot on.

The native Samsung health app syncs really well between the watch and my phone but I also use the mapmyrun app for recording my workouts.

I downloaded an app called ‘Stay Alive’ which means the watch will constantly stay on the most recent app which is perfect for running so I can see my stats as I go.

The always on display didn’t do the trick when running as the mapmyrun app would be swapped by the always on display default clock screen.

Went for the 40mm and it fits really well. Nice and sleek and really comfortable.

Lots of different watch faces to choose from and download.

    Would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersSo I bought this and swapped it out for my iWatch series 4 and boy oh boy was it 100% worth it!

Battery life is 10 times better lasts me 2 days where as my iWatch only lasted a day, tracks all calories not just your active ones, so literally everything you burn in an entire day including what you burn during your sleep, auto detects your activity so if your walking / running etc it will automatically detect it, tracks your sleep without the need for additional applications on your phone, can input how much food you’ve had, how many coffees you’ve had and download a variation of clock faces.

I also find this a lot more comfortable to wear during the night than the iWatch as it sits flatter on the wrist. The only thing I can not comment on is the LTE as I havent activated that.

The only other thing I will mention is that if you have a small wrist the standard 44mm wrist band that comes with it is very big and you’ll need to buy a strap that runs smaller.

  32. Ian says:

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersIt is a decent time piece with a not too big face at 44mm. I like the software bezel and the host of other apps like Spotify. My gripe was, it didn’t work with o2, so returned. Had I not signed new terms with o2 and was still with Vodafone, I would have kept it. I notice some reviews online people give unfair reviews because their network isn’t supported; how is it Samsung’s fault if the network hasn’t provisioned for the service?

  33. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom 🇬🇧

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersFirst things first, it’s not really a gold colour but Samsung’s interpretation of yellow gold I guess, similar to rolled gold. Alas the included brown strap is the most awful piece of tat you will come across, but is easily replaced which transforms the whole thing.

I went from an Apple watch 4, to a Galaxy Fit band to this, and I have to say for the money it’s very good – its a shame that Samung can’t see beyond the Tizen OS for these as I can imagine the functionality that Wear OS would bring would make this a killer device. As is, it’s good and has probably the best looks of this level of smartwatch (with a replacement band) before you’re getting into the Montblanc/TAG stuff, but why spend that money on something that will be obsolete in three years.

On a final note if you’re tattooed on top of your wrist (where a watch would normally sit), the always-on function will pretty much not work at all, but this was the same for the Apple Watch.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersHas been great for months, within the last week the battery life has tanked for no clear reason :/ When I first got it (sept/Oct?), it could last 2/2 n a half days before needing a full charge. Now it barely lasts through daytime and will need multiple charge. Otherwise, been absolutely brilliant product and I’ve loved it.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersWhen the watch is in use, the battery lasts less than a day. I use it when I go to the gym. Each session is about 1.5 hours and if the watch is used for music and tracking activity progress, the battery goes down by 40% at least. Also, it has an app for mixed workout and is supposed to be able to detect the activity in progress, yet it does not do very well with that. Most of the time it detects any activity at least 10 minutes late and often displays it’s completed when in fact it is not. For example, out of 45 min elliptical trainer use, the watch was only able to detect and record 10 minutes of it. In short, the Samsung health apps installed are pretty much useless due to their inaccuracy.
Other than that, the watch is quite stylish, comfortable and allows for different apps to be loaded, as well as content to bed added like images and songs. Can also be used for Samsung pay although that is not what I got it for.
