This is the watch that I particularly looked for and is exactly what I wanted. Arrived in perfect condition.
I love samsung but there watches are ****
If you want a watch get a huawei
Best watch I have ever had
Cheap too
Lovely looking watch. You can change the watch faces. I like the old fashioned pink watch face. App not very detailed as most of it uis on the watch itself but I would prefer it to be the same. Needs to be charged every other day.
I wish the battery was better and also the navi is a bit annoying but overall it is a very ice watch.
Wife loves the watch. All functions are excellent. Only complaint is that it needs charging every day.
This was meant to be a customer return I got a 2nd hand dirty scratched watch if I wanted grubby used crap I would of got one from sum drunk in the pub .the watch itself is good
I have had the Galaxy Active 2 for few months now.
Design – watch is very nice, lovely strap and comfortable on the wrist. It is very light
Functionalities – I mainly use it for tracking steps and it seems there are some differences with the Fitbit I used before. doesn’t seem as accurate as the fitbit, same for the heart rate
App – the app is good and easy to use
Battery – i set it up to turn on only when I turn my wrist. By doing this, it can last 2-3 days
Overall – happy with the product, surely can be improved in some functionalities but it is great value for money
Lovely design and functions but the battery lasts for a day and a half and I only use it to see the time and track my workouts. I had a Fitbit versa previously which would last for 3-4 days without having to be charged so it is kind of a pain to have to charge the galaxy watch every other day. Other than that it is a good smart watch.
Ive don’t like watches, I don’t wear watches. Not taken this off since I bought it…. Battery a but short but lasts a day for the most part. Don’t use it for sleep tracking however fir exercise and heart rate it’s very good. Notifications work well, Bluetooth can be annoying short distance but that’s probably my house as it has thick walls. Recommended I live it loads.
Packed full of features like sport tracking, heart best, sleep pattern, movement, it also boasts a ton of features to really make the watch personal to you.
As someone who’s not that active, the watch consistently reminds me to move about, especially during work. If I can’t move, it will ask me to stretch. It’s very intuitive. I love the fact that you can really make it personal like changing the watch face, the battery consumption and what apps you prefer to be notified for. You can set alarms, do not disturb, night mode etc. So handy!
What I am enjoying the most is the app function. I can make and take calls from my phone! Send SMS and reply. I can quick reply to Insta DMs, Snapchat etc. It’s really good as you have various ways to reply, such as voice.
I have small wrists. Childlike almost but the watch fits perfectly on my wrist. It’s small, lightweight but feels so good. And looks gorgeous. I went for the black version as its my fav colour.
The battery life is so so. Could be better but it last like 2 days which isn’t too bad. Do remember this is via Bluetooth. So one thing I’m happy about is, if I’m downstairs directly under the room where I left my phone, I can still use it! Which is awesome so the range is quite far. And the watch has Wi-Fi! Which I’m not sure what it’s used for! Haha will figure that out later. The mobile app is really good. Easy to use and set up. Very handy!
Overall I’m in love with my watch. I thought it was gimmick but trust me it’s not. It’s very useful! And the rotating bezel is to die for. Aaahhh Samsung smashed it!
Theres nothing that I have disliked about my watch I brought 2 1 for me and 1 for my daughter for her birthday. I wanted it more to record my workouts. Which is great it has every workout you can record on there and if it doesnt you can record it on Other workout which works brilliant. Its great for my steps a day as working from home I needed to make sure I get my steps in for sure. I can answer my phone on the watch and send whats app messages or messenger text messages. My other apps come up too instagam and facebook alerts but you can turn them off if you want to. There are many features on the watch and probably some I have not come across. But you can add your own apps to it as well.
All in all a good buy and I was lucky enough to get a deal off when Amazon were doing 20% off and also qualified for the cashback reward from Samsung
Other than that, the watch is great. I do wish I had gone for a bigger size though.
The pen next to the watch in the picture is more for size reference.
its great at tracking my sleep as well as my cheeky afternoon cat naps. with the app i ca
Fitness:
I have been using this for fitness and the fitness tracking it great. It breaks it down into 5 different categories. Maximum, Anaerobic, Aerobic, Weight Control and Low Intensity. The heart rate monitor is good and I used it to track my treadmill run and the distance in accurate. There are a variety of free weight options that it can track and it is accurate at doing that too.
However you cannot start a workout from your phone and use the watch’s data. It will only use do it without. So you will need to start it on the watch to get your HR and all that monitored.
Overall it is great for fitness and I would recommend it for anyone who is doing so. It comes great calibrated out of the box and you don’t need to put your stride length in or anything like that.
Battery Life:
I would say that battery life is good and however the Fitbit versa 3 for example has a much longer battery life, due to the lack of features inside. But this would easily last a day or even a day and a half in my use cases.
Smart Watch Use:
The rotating bezel on this is great that is build in the software is a decent replacement for the bezel as it makes the watch more barrable to wear and not as bulky especially during an exercise. You can make calls of it and do all the usual stuff a normal smart watch would do. It has a decent amount of internal storage and is feature packed and you can find out more about those on YouTube video’s overall.
Conclusion:
As I have a Samsung phone I would say this integrates well with the Samsung health app and does a great job and tracking fitness and has a lot of useful features.
The number one reason I got the watch was for the exercise tracking abilities and workout guides. Frustratingly, this seems to be where the watch fails. Upon using the workout options it became clear that these functions are almost entirely pointless. For example, when using the dumbbell curls options on the watch, it instructs you to put your arms in the correct position for you to start. THE WATCH CAN’T READ THE POSITIONING OF YOUR ARMS, so it never starts and renders the entire option completely pointless.
This happened again with the stretch function. The watch told me I haven’t moved in a while and asked if I would like to run through some quick stretches. I pressed start, the watch tells me to put my arms in the correct position….can you guess what happens next? It can’t recognize my arm movements. Again, a function rendered entirely useless. How about a simple ‘Start’ button? They must have realised this function doesn’t work before releasing it to the public.
The watch itself is really nice and is highly customizable. I love the ability to change, download and customize your watch face.
It also pairs perfectly well with my S20+ and I have had no issue whatsoever on that front.
The band is very comfortable to wear and doesn’t scar my skin like a FitBit will. Extremely easy to switch bands and there are plenty of really cool options out there to choose from.
The Spotify feature is also really nice. You can download Spotify songs straight to the watch, though it is a bit of a headache. Still though, this is a great feature.
Notifications pop-up almost instantly, which is great if you use 2FA on any accounts for work etc.
The watch also has a speaker built-in, which scared me a bit when I answered my first phone call on it.
All-in-all, if you like technology then you’ll probably really enjoy this watch. Just understand that it has it’s limits and some things just simply don’t work.
Connects really well with phone app, messages and calls come through.
Great size, not too big and clunky.
So many great straps to choose from.
Easily customisable, you can change the watch face, app options and background colour.
Battery life lasts about 3 days if you use it constantly.
Things to consider…
You can’t reply easily to a text on this watch.
Overall it’s the best watch I’ve ever bought and I don’t regret buying i
My first smart watch was the applewatch and when I went to an android phone I was wanting a similar standard smart watch and I finally have one that’s better!
This watch has amazing battery life, has all the capabilities you’d expect and want and I’ve been wearing it everyday to work and it’s yet to scratch or look “worn”. It’s great!!
Battery life is really good and the accuracy of the GPS and heart rate monitor seem spot on.
The native Samsung health app syncs really well between the watch and my phone but I also use the mapmyrun app for recording my workouts.
I downloaded an app called ‘Stay Alive’ which means the watch will constantly stay on the most recent app which is perfect for running so I can see my stats as I go.
The always on display didn’t do the trick when running as the mapmyrun app would be swapped by the always on display default clock screen.
Went for the 40mm and it fits really well. Nice and sleek and really comfortable.
Lots of different watch faces to choose from and download.
Would definitely recommend.
Battery life is 10 times better lasts me 2 days where as my iWatch only lasted a day, tracks all calories not just your active ones, so literally everything you burn in an entire day including what you burn during your sleep, auto detects your activity so if your walking / running etc it will automatically detect it, tracks your sleep without the need for additional applications on your phone, can input how much food you’ve had, how many coffees you’ve had and download a variation of clock faces.
I also find this a lot more comfortable to wear during the night than the iWatch as it sits flatter on the wrist. The only thing I can not comment on is the LTE as I havent activated that.
The only other thing I will mention is that if you have a small wrist the standard 44mm wrist band that comes with it is very big and you’ll need to buy a strap that runs smaller.
I went from an Apple watch 4, to a Galaxy Fit band to this, and I have to say for the money it’s very good – its a shame that Samung can’t see beyond the Tizen OS for these as I can imagine the functionality that Wear OS would bring would make this a killer device. As is, it’s good and has probably the best looks of this level of smartwatch (with a replacement band) before you’re getting into the Montblanc/TAG stuff, but why spend that money on something that will be obsolete in three years.
On a final note if you’re tattooed on top of your wrist (where a watch would normally sit), the always-on function will pretty much not work at all, but this was the same for the Apple Watch.
Other than that, the watch is quite stylish, comfortable and allows for different apps to be loaded, as well as content to bed added like images and songs. Can also be used for Samsung pay although that is not what I got it for.
