Excellent monitor and doubles as a tv too simple to setup and voice controlled even better.. great selection of apps too
Bought as a monitor, smart features are a bit of a pain but at the price it was excelle
I find the screen quality very good. As a monitor, there are different ways of connecting a Mac to the monitor: AirPlay or direct HDMI connection, and once connected, things look very good (to my eyes).
As a media consumption (quasi-TV) unit, things are also good. The unit comes with the Tizen OS installed, which can be a bit confusing at times, but after spending a bit of time with it, things become a bit clearer. There are apps for the most common streaming platforms already installed and although there is no Freeview nor any antenna input port, most TV streaming apps in the UK also stream the live TV broadcast through the app.
The remote is nice-looking and has a rechargeable battery.
I don’t game, so I don’t know what gaming would look like on this monitor, but I see there are some controls in the settings that apply to gaming, so perhaps it wouldn’t do too badly.
All in all, it’s a good all-rounder that can be used as a monitor and for media consumption in a smart-looking package. For the Black Friday price I paid for it I am very happy with the purchase.
The quality of the screen is amazing and it came with an option to use it protectin your eyes, it is great.
The sound quality is not so good, but it is perfect taking in consideration that this is a monitor not a TV.
Sadly the first screen was cracked as the item is poorly packaged. But the replacement is fantastic. Every thing looks so sharp and gaming in 4k is unbelievable.
Wanted a monitor to use as a streaming tv without having a massive TV. Struggled to find a TV small enough to offer the same features.
As a monitor it streams well, speakers are a little on the quiet side but for the price its fine.
Good Picture quality although the viewing angle is a little on the slim side with it positioned correctly it works well. Connection to Samsung Smart Things was simple and detected by google home straight away (with google wifi pro)
Having used a entry level LG 27inch 4k monitor with a Firestick for work/movies, I wanted something a bit bigger to also use as a TV.
For Work
Great for work as this has 2 levels of eye-care mode which really does combat screen fatigue. It also has an automatic picture adjustment mode which is very impressive. I can wirelessly contact my Macbook and PC to use this as a second screen. I also connect my Mac via HDMI. The monitor has 2 HDMI ports and a host of USB ports for charging devices.
For Leisure
Stunning. It’s a VA panel with loads of picture adjustment. Also has the new ‘Film Maker Mode’ for movies. Have tinkered the settings to my personal choice but out of the box it all looks great. 4K movies in Netflix, Prime etc are stunning with lovely colours. Only minor negative is the viewing angles are not great. This is a disadvantage of using a VA panel although colours are better than IPS panel.
I have had no problems connecting with my budget Bluetooth earbuds and more expensive headphones for movies and music. I can wireless connect my phone to the monitor to view files/images/movies etc.
Gaming is great. Have connected to PS5 and works very well but its only limited to 60hz so maybe not ideal for hardcore gamers
Conclusion
Brilliant, have not touched on all the features but this monitor is much better than expected. Excellent for work and TV. Was purchased on Amazon for a bargain price but would not feel undone paying the full amount.
The speakers are a bit wet and frustratingly you can only use the bluetooth connection to an external speaker to listen to music? when I watch streaming apps etc for some reason it closes off the bluetooth – I don’t know why they’ve done it like that – potentially I need to explore the settings more!
Overall it’s great and there isn’t many devices that do what this does – OS is sometimes a tiny bit slow so I’m guessing the smart/tizen stuff isn’t being powered by anything particularly grunty. 4 out of 5 is fair – does everyhting it says it does and does it quite well.
