I am very pleased with my purchase!

The only thing I’m not that happy with is the stand it comes with, which takes up more space than I would like; I may be looking for another solution to that.
I would definitely buy it again!

4k acer monitor died. Have always had 2 monitors for the “real-estate”, but after the Acer died… noticed the poor quality on my second Asus monitor (both 28″ 4k). Purchasing this monitor… loved it! Gor rid of my second monitor… for a second identical Samsung 4k!!! Have even got one for family!!! I personally cannot fault it!!!!!

Good monitor for coding but the vesa connection lets it down. Due to the embedded circle design on the back, a standard vesa mount won’t fit in the circle.

I think that I bought it around 200gbp (an offer) around two years ago already.
For the price it is really good and it deserves 4 stars. Even now, the nearest I think that are around 250-300gbp.
But it is really basic on features and image quality, but more than enough for office work.
Take care of using only hdmi-2 for 4K@60 (I do not know about the DP or the Freesync).
Have problems with my macbook coming out from sleep. Most of the times I have to touch the button on the monitor to switch inputs, and from time to time I have to power off and on, to get it recognised at Ventura and get the output of the macbook.

Very nice monitor that was sent with EU plug. The UK plug provided had 3 pins when the power brick had only two! Someone on the production line put the wrong bag in the box. Cost me 9 for a UK plug with 2 pins and 3 amp fuse. Oh well, easier than sending it back I spose and it works very well now.

Nice monitor - wrong power cable

Works well with both MacBook Pro (2015) and Win 10 laptop.
To get 60hz with the MacBook you need to use the Thunderbolt output and ensure that the graphics card is enabled in the battery life settings.
Win 10 laptop works well with it.
Max resolution is probably more use for gaming, software menus are tiny so although photo editing in photoshop etc is accurate it’s a bit tricky to see the menus clearly. Not a big deal, just reduce the resolution a notch.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersFor whoever is reading,

I received this monitor on the 18th Jan, and can finally write the review (date of writing 1st Feb).

First of all, I want to say I’m really happy with how this monitor looks and performs. So please dont let anything you read below take away from it’s performance or how ‘happy’ you would be if you bought it. Im considering getting another one of the next month or so.

    Now, the positives:
    – it’s a very pretty monitor in terms of picture quality.
    – great entry level for 4k @60hz, so overall it’s a very nice monitor if you’re just working from home, gaming, editing video/photos like I am.
    – i have heard people complain about receiving the monitor with some dead pixels on edges – not the case for me.

I do apologise for not being extremely technical, computer terms are foreign to me. But it’s a good monitor – you’ll be happy with it if you’re looking to get into 4k visuals like I am.

    HOWEVER!

The main reason Im buying this is the absolute hassle I went through to make sure my Macbook Air 2020 was showing content on the monitor in 4k @ 60hz.

Given I work from home and speak to clients over zoom, my internet connection is extremely important. So an ethernet cable is necessary for me. Mixing this with the desire for 4k video, i had a problem.

To save you the effort and energy I had to go through, I found the only way for it to work is to buy Apple’s own adaptor (allowing you plug a hdmi, ethernet via usb dongle, and charge the laptop) within one dongle.

Once the Apple dongle is plugged in and connected to the monitor, go to ‘System Preferences’, then ‘Displays’, click on the monitor, then hold ‘options’ as you click on ‘scaled’, then you’ll see resolutions appear. Click on the 4k resolution, and then underneath the list, there is a button saying ‘low resolutions’.
By clicking on that, you’ll be shown the refresh rate, and you can choose 60hz (30hz if you’re nasty).
I previously bought that dongle that plugs into both usb-c ports, and had 8 ports on it itself – it was great!

But I soon realised i couldn’t both charge the laptop, and display max settings on the monitor, given the one thunderbolt port on the adaptor.

So, invest in the Apple dongle as I’ve found that that’s the only one that works. I promise I’m not an Apple salesman – I actually hate the fact that they’ve done things like this. There are two dongles, so I’ll send the link for the one I bought below:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07XFYZLTJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Now for the negatives:
    – The holes for screws to mount the monitor are extremely high. So if your arms dont extend that high above your desk, the monitor could sit just above it, or worse, hit it.
    – It’s also not VESA mount compatible. So find which mounts actually fit the holes provided. I had to improve with the mount I bought and literally drilled my own holes into them just to make it work.
    – the Menu is a bit finicky – mainly because there’s only one button (the same setup as Samsung TVs with that one joystick button thing on the back of the TV).
    – As much as the manual says you can tilt the screen when on its monitor stand provided, mine doesnt…
    – Sometimes the settings for picture quality/colour etc are editable, and sometimes they’re not. I’m not sure why, but it might be because something has been turned on/off before. While it could be my fault, they could have made it clearer that IF you change this setting, other settings are unchangeable.
    – There is some darkening of screen depending on which angle you’re viewing from.
    – Not relating to the monitor, but Samsungs customer support is TERRIBLE!

I hope this review helps – the culmination of buying over 4 dongles, 3 wires, countless customer support hours and Youtube videos wasted.

Overall I’m very pleased with this monitor!! The 4K married up with the HDR10 makes the pic as sharp and life like as you it can be. I used this for my PS5, which has no Display port, so with the use of an adaptor will be required, but is no problem at all.

Highly recommended for gaming & Firestick for the price! +++

The monitor is nice but what isnt mention is that it is not really future proof for next gen gaming (PS5 & Xbox one X). The real specs for the ports are 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz (DisplayPort), 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz (HDMI1), 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz (HDMI2). which means you cant have 2 next gen consoles plugged in at the same time.

i love Samsung i have a few screens and tv with them, now regarding this one the issue is the way they design the back, if you use extended arms don’t buy it , it will damage the hdmi or dp plug and your screen will flicker because of the bad connection if you use it with the original feet, then its all good

My photography hobby expanded to include a drone a couple of years ago and I needed to upgrade my monitor to see the full benefits of the 4K video and high res pics I’m getting. The Samsung came in top of my list after all the research I had done – affordable, large screen without being overpowering, easy set up and stylish, I am now able to immerse myself in the footage I get and edit it with ease. I’ve run several Samsung products over the years and this latest addition to my collection doesn’t disappoint. Should be on everyone’s short lis

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersTaken my time before writing this review to give you all a fair overview for value for money.

Overall I really pleased with my purchase and this has only really come to light this last few weeks when I’ve finally got it set up and I’m happy with the picture.

Picture quality is amazing and colours spot on HDR works well (will come on to this).

Few things you need to know, make sure the PC/AV mode is set to AV if you plan to use any none PC device ie PS4/PS4pro/PS5 this will change the picture dramatically and give a softer more precise picture for your games console now tv etc

Make sure your HDR is set up right on the Device and calibrate it’s once plugged into the monitor

Lastly you cannot run game mode and HDR at the same time, also game mode will not stay on you have to turn it on every session you want to use it. To sum this up I don’t, I play Warzone a lot the response time is out of this world without it on so I’m not bothered.

I specifically brought this monitor with PS5 in mind and fully satisfied, if you only got 1080p stuff at tho moment and are going to upgrade laster this monitor also works well with this.

Hope this helps people, don’t normally write reviews but I got stuck on some of the bits above so thought I’d help someone else ou

Like, really bad. For bright, colourful images, it’s fine. But as soon as anything remotely dark comes into play the banding becomes really obvious. Also HDMI does not really work well, have to use DP to get the most out of the monitor. Which is fine, just make sure your GPU is compatible.

This is absolutely an entry level 4K monitor for gaming but the price reflects that. Ideal for my son

If you are buying this for the x-box series x then we had an issue at first. the x-box would only send the monitor a 1080p signal saying that the monitor wouldn’t support 4k. I couldn’t even manually change it.

I changed the x-box to HDMI 2 and it works 4k 60HZ but it wouldn’t in port 1

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt has taken me a while to get to grips with all of the features of my new Mac Mini and this Samsung monitor, but I believe now that I have hit the sweet spot. I knew from the start that in order to get 60Hz refresh rate that I would need to use the Display Port, so when I ordered the monitor, I ordered a Thunderbolt 3 to Displayport cable. The monitor instantly recognised this when I powered it on. It has then taken me a while to get the display of the Mac to look as good as I thought it could do, however. The first thing was that I needed to crank the brightness down – there is a lot of glare from the screen at the default value. I have it set to 23. What I have found is that you need to enable HDR in the Mac’s system preferences for display. This helps to make the fonts much crisper, especially when scaling the display. I have settled on the second highest scale as shown in the attached screenshot. Web pages render really well in Safari at this value as to emails in the Mail app. Finally I took a punt at enabling FreeSync. Given that my Mac has an Intel display, and FreeSync is an AMD technology, I wasn’t sure if it would make a difference, but it absolutely does. Web pages scroll beautifully in Safari and scrolling through files in Finder seems more fluid. The Mac feels more responsive in general after enabling it. FreeSync needs to be enabled via the monitor’s menu.

I am sure if I were to spend a lot more money, I could get an even better picture, but the LU28R550UQUXEN is a good buy at this price.

    Good value monito

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this screen for my new ps5 And it works great. Picture quality is really impressive and the colors too. The only negative side of this screen is not very bright a bid dark specially if you play while there is sunlight in the house you won’t to be able to see a clear image. Other than that the screen has very good quality and the colors is impressive. Recommend for the price 100%.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo I ended up returning this monitor primarily because I was interested specifically in something with a high PPI that I could mount. Which unfortunately, is not this monitor. It also came with a broken UK power adaptor out of the box

Pros: This monitor is really nice looking I found the curved display a little surprising initially but eventually quite useful to keep most of the screen in view most of the time.

Cons: it can’t be mounted, it has a very small offering of ports to plug things in. The stand eats up a lot of desk real estate and isn’t super adjustable

For just under 200 you get a 28″ UHD screen 3840 x 2160 res with razor-sharp definition – I paid 185 5 years ago for a Dell 1920 x 1080 res 23″ screen which I still use and has been great, but just shows what incredible value we get as consumers currently! I plugged into my Dell XPS15 and it worked immediately as a second screen no problems – I recommend installing DisplayFusion so that your mouse pointer doesn’t get “stuck” moving between screens of differing resolutions. The Samsung is superb with three whole pages of an MS Word document displayed next to each other crisp, clear and very readable. A second screen is always essential, the Samsung is like having two screens for the price of one because of the amount of windows that can be displayed simultaneously and still be readable/ useable. I was tempted to knock of a star because the stand could be better – there is no adjustment capability – the Dell can be slid up and down as well as rotated through 90 degrees which can be useful. But to give it 4 stars would be an injustice, it’s a superb bit of kit. I am impressed. I don’t do gaming so I can’t speak for it’s ability in this area.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBought this 32″ 4K curved monitor a couple weeks ago during the Prime Day sales ready for the PS5 launch and I couldn’t have been any happier.
Was a bit concerned initially as some reviews stated that it came with dead pixels straight out the box – but I must have gotten lucky because I’ve scoured the screen and not found any.

Currently been using the monitor to watch TV/films/series (mirrored through my laptop) and to play the PS4 – not Pro – and it’s incredible to look at even at 1080p. I will say that straight out the box the picture settings will need a bit of calibration/tweaking but once done it really does shine.

For gaming my only criticism is that there is a very (very) slight motion blur which I’ve never noticed before on my previous LG TV , however I’ve upped the monitor response time to ‘fastest’ and it pretty much eliminates it. It is a bit annoying having to switch this setting back and forth when watching stuff connected from my laptop because the fastest and faster settings induce a black frame insertion which lowers the displays persistence and can cause colours to sometimes look unnatural/flicker but when dropped to ‘normal’ this disappears.

Overall though – and so far- this is a really amazing monitor if you’re looking for a 4K display that can do a bit of everything.

  21. BeaBastowgfov says:

The Price of this monitor seemed far too good to be true. 4K IPS panel with HDR10 and a decent response time for just 290? Can’t be possible, the screen quality is great for the price.

I can’t wait to game on this with the PS5. It’s incredible value for money if you’re not worried about high refresh rates for gaming, for a gamer that mostly plays RPGs, single player story games and FIFA 60hz is fine. Plus most AAA games won’t run at over 60fps at 4k anyway.

One negative that should be mentioned is that there is next to no tilt control and zero height control. I would say you get what you pay for, but despite this flaw you still get more than what you pay for with this monitor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible value for money.

This loses a star because there is no sound. You need to drag out your old pc speakers, if you kept them from yonks ago, or invest in new ones, and also a sound enabled motherboard or sound card, your all in one graphics and sound card won’t give sound anymore. Bit of a let down there, wouldn’t have cost Samsung much at all to provide basic speakers, just to get things operational out of the box.

  23. LovieGUCwtdv says:

The display is nice. Others have complained about poor viewing angles and light leakage, but I haven’t had either of those issues. I was originally looking for something even bigger, but glad i didn’t as there would be too much head moment needed at the typical distance when using a PC.
However, the one thing that really let’s this down is the stand. Firstly, it is not adjustable at all height-wise and is far too low. You really do need a shelf to put it on if you don’t want to end up with neck and shoulder strain and end up looking like a hunchback. The bottom of the screen sits about 4 inches off the deck so if you need to read something at the bottom of the screen you’ll find yourself straining and hunching over sideways to see it. There is a minute amount of vertical tilt – certainly not enough to make up for the low height. To make matters worse, the curved back means there is no option to fit a vesa style adjustable stand. The only option is to place it on a shelf. There is no horizontal swivel movement either.
So, no complaints about the picture, but the stand and design is a textbook example of style over function.
Also, the hdmi socket is full size – I mention this because i couldn’t find this anywhere in adverts or on Samsung’s site which seems a pretty fundamental omission of info.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI had to specify what review this was for because amazon seem to be mixing in other reviews with the UR55 review. Now I cant comment on gaming. I dont play games. I do watch blu rays, and 4k content from Netflix and youtube. I do edit photos. First off I cant watch 4k Netflix in the app or on MS Edge. the screen keeps going dark for a few seconds. I am waiting for an HDMI cable as on displayport so not sure if that is the issue. Talking of HDMI, 2 ports one at 60Hz and one at 30hz. When using displayport the magic upscale and magic brightness options are not available. They are only available on HDMI. Another reason to change to HDMI. 4K youtube looks very nice and colours seem to be very good for photography. The HDR seems to work well. Viewing angle seems good, vertically and horizontally. I would say that its a very good 4K monitor. My previous montor was a 4K LG. I would say this is bette

Golden Review Award: 92 From Our UsersI found some of the other comments confusing as at the time of purchase, the same reviews appear for different models (28in and 30in, Bezelless or Flat). They are different monitors with different specs. Mixing the reviews is very inaccurate.
Here’s my review for the 28inch Bezelless UR55 model:
I bought this to use with my MacBook Pro 13inch early 2015. It works great, the colours are vibrant and sharp right to the edges. The stand is strong and can be tilted, but not raised or lowered.

I do have 2 very minor points I wanted to share with you:
    1. No DP cable is included in the package (only HDMI cable).
    2. The whites are a tiny bit duller when I compare against my MacBook Screen at full brightness. But really, it’s not a problem for me.

With the MacBook Pro model I have, the HDMI cable can achieve full 4k at 30Hz on both HDMI ports. The DP port can achieve full 4k at 60Hz. I bought a mini DP to full DP cable (cost around 10 pounds) and now getting 4k at 60Hz. Videos play nice and smooth, but have not tried any gaming.
Overall, I’m delighted with it and would highly recommend.

Works great with MacBook Pro. UR55 28inch Model.

I bought this as external monitor for my Macbook Pro.I can’t say a bad word about this monitor, yet I am kind of regret buying it: I always had the external monitor above the laptop’s screen (don’t like to turn my head left/right too much while typing on the laptop’s keyboard, yes, real 1st world problem). But now I have a 65 cm / 25 inch tall screen area to watch, and I am getting neck pains by the end of the day because fo the amount I need to look up and down. But I am not sending it back (it’s way too good), I will just need to get a new chair to sit higher to prevent it.

having billions of colours is nice but having true HDR would have been better. My choice was between this curved monitor and a slightly more expensive Samsung quantum dot HDR monitor. I chose this one over the NHS monitor in the end, mostly due to price. I’ve found the monitor to be great on a stand but I really can’t tell the difference between 1080 and 4k to be honest, even having both together side by side one this large monitor full screen. I’m waiting for a 4k curved HDR monitor to come out and I may get that when it’s available.

I needed some high res screens to use with Cubase in my studio. These have a beautiful picture, high res, running at 3k using DisplayPort cables from my music machine. Have two other machines connected to the screens too at HDMI 1080p. Love them. Don’t know how I got on so long without 3k displays for my music production as Cubase needs a lot of screen space. Runs perfectly in 4K too, but my eyes are not what they used to be, so I need to upscale by 125% in Windows.

These are great monitors (I have two of them), and they have lots of great features. Some people have complained about the control knob on the back, but I got used to it very quickly, and I can navigate the menus with no issues whatsoever. I like them. I am not much of a gamer so I can’t really comment on that, however Cubase has lots of refreshing graphics and spectral analysers, meters, and graphics, and it’s as smooth as you like. I used to see jerkyness with my old 1080p monitors, but these seem pretty smooth and have a fairly decent refresh rate.

I am very happy with these.

I had the monitor set up within minutes and fired up my PS4 and was blown away by the quality of this monitor and it’s sleek look. However after an hour or two I noticed in the bottom right corner of the screen that there was a crack in the plastic frame!!! Any product at this price and supposedly brand new should be perfect, it’s hardly noticeable but it really brings a downer on what would have been a perfect product. There’s no way I can fix this and it will continue to be an eyesore for the time I use this product.

Also know that the packaging was undamaged on arrival and I am 100% certain I had nothing to do with it.

It must have been a mistake when the monitor was put together.

Happy with the product but disappointed with the company’s quality checking!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEdit: I bought a second one. This was the same amazing value, but in the year between the two orders, Samsung had corrected the stand angle problem, with a slightly adjustable stand. I’ll be buying a third soon. [End of Edit]

When I ordered it, this was the lowest cost 4k 28″ monitor by a huge factor, so of course I was expecting it to be unacceptable in some way. I thought I would try it, then return it, and pay nearly twice as much for a different screen.

Happily, what happened instead was that I got a very nice monitor, with no dead pixels or any other fault I can detect, for very little money.

The one fault, and it’s something other reviews have picked up on, is the stand. This is designed to place the monitor on a shelf above your keyboard area, as in a professional workstation. If you put the stand on the same level as your keyboard, it does tilt the display down somewhat. The solution for me, was 3 worth of rubber door wedges; one under each end of the stand front t-bar. It looks fine, and works perfectly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI won’t lie to anyone reading this, it is not the best monitor; but you’d have to spend quite a bit more to see a noticeable enough difference. Pictures are clear, it is more than bright enough, and if you’re coming from a 1080p screen like I did, it is a different experience. I’m a little disappointed at the lack of HDCP 2.2 support; incase you don’t know what that means, any paid 4k content such as netflix and amazon will not display in 4k on this monitor. However, that is more than made up for with youtube in 4k and the clarity of text and images; not just specific to this panel, 4k in general. I won’t give it a rating for gaming, as I feel that while yes, leaps and bounds have been made in the 4k gaming space, if you have enough money for a powerful enough system to do it properly, you would be spending more on your monitor – if you do do any gaming on the panel, you’ll probably be setting it to 1080p or 1440p. Games do look worse than on a 1080p or 1440p panel, but while yes you can still see the jagged edges, I tend to forget they’re there, and going back to the desktop afterwards reminds you just how good it is.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot this for work. It does not compare well to an Iiyama, in terms of contrast and clarity.
The whole picture looks Milky / Washed out / Faded.
The black bezzel on the site shows as matt, but it is high gloss, so reflects office and window lights – that is what you are staring at all day. The resolution is great. The screen only has tilt, no rise or fall or rotate(portrait).
I have to check that the text fonts can look blury, and all the letter ‘f’ are in BOLD which looks odd.
The connectors are fine and its very easy to set up.
Whilst it s good value for a 4k screen, I dont think I would buy another. Screens have to be seen to be believed.
Not using this screen for gaming, but for programming/office use.
The soft focus and response time would be great for that.
The Eye Saver mode just makes the whole picture even weaker. There is no Colour Temperature setting so it is hard to adjust that to get a better picture.

The quality of the image when using DisplayPort is tip-top, really bright, clear, and a very respectable 97% of the RGB spectrum. HDMI is another matter though, it’s fine for anything 1080p (in fact my Switch has never looked better, and the response time is blisteringly fast, perfect for Smash), but when you get into 4K things start to wobble.

4K over HDMI, regardless as to whether it’s 60Hz or 30Hz is slightly washed out and only manages 94% of RGB. The worst thing though is that there is a very (very) slight flicker when using a 4K signal over HDMI that is simply not present when using DisplayPort. After some colour calibration the dullness is no longer an issue, but that mild flicker is slightly irritating over time, though it may not be perceptible to everyone.

If you’re using this for 1080p over HDMI or 4K over DisplayPort, this is a wonderful display, but if you plan on trying to squeeze 4K60Hz over HDMI, be prepared for some slight compromise, although it does work.

Golden Review Award: 65 From Our UsersI bought this for my son, who is both an avid gamer and video editor. Given the sophistication of his editing (uses Adobe Creative Cloud), he needed a 4K screen to move into 4K editing, with good response time for gaming.

So far, he tells me this is great for both. Maybe there is a little halo effect from moving up to 4K for the first time, but he is notoriously picky about equipment, food…and just about everything, so this is praise indeed. And while I was never convinced by the whole curved-TV phase that came and went, for more up close work, the gentle curve makes for a immersive experience used as a monitor.

Set up is straightforward, but do beware of playing with the various international adaptors that come with the PSU: once on, they lock and cannot be removed (well, not easily). After some tense moments (both emotionally and physically, through trying to prise the damn EU adaptor off), I managed to rectify my mistake with only superficial scratches to the PSU. Ater that, it was a breeze: fit the base, power and video cable (HDMI or DisplayPort only), plug in and with the right card, this comes up right away with no hassles. There are options to route cables through the stand, for a neater desk, a port cover for the back (for a slick look that no-one will see) or, with this removed, what looks like mounting points for a screen stand (sorry, not sure if this is full VESA, but will check next time I take a look).

Construction of the screen and stand is solid and sleek, as you might expect from Samsung, but it is the picture that impresses. Full 4K clarity with great contrast, responsiveness and colour. The upscaling works really well, lifting normal HD content to a higher perceived resolution. My son reports also the the response (at 4ms) does not disappoint either: I realise there may be screens with faster response, but not many at 4K and none at this price point.

So, overall, very good. I must admit to being very jealous of my son now and am now tempted to bag two or four of my own for my office/studio.

My first venture into 4K for my PC, primarily for productivity enhancement in video editing and a litttle bit of gaming has seen me make the decision to purchase this monitor. I must say that I am suitably impressed.

While the supplied stand isn’t the most sturdy of bases, it is adequate. Only downside is there is no swivel or height adjustment, only lateral tilting. I plan on mounting this on an arm at some point anyway, so this point is ultimately moot.

Colours are bright and vibrant, and YouTube content is breathtaking! One of the main things to keep in mind about the Samsung U28E590D is that it doesn’t support HDCP 2.2 meaning that you will not be able to watch HDCP2.2-protected content in 4K on Blu-rays and certain streaming services such as Amazon and Netflix.

As I’m not using this to watch movies (I’ve got a TV for that, as I’m sure most of us do), the monitor meets my needs perfectly… in fact, I’m that impressed, I may just buy another one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe image is absolutely flawless. Unfortunately 28″ is too small for 4k, which I only realized after the purchase. I have to upscale Windows 150% to see things properly. For 28″ it’s better to go 2k, you’ll get better fps in games, and won’t have to upscale Windows so much. Would have much preferred to get two 2k monitors around this size because one lets you game while the other has your other applications such as discord or web browser open at the same time. It’s all very well saying that with 4k you can have multiple applications open at the same time, but 28″ is really too small. That said, I use 21.5″ 1080p at work, and going from that to a 28″ 4k screen is like night vs day. The difference is very noticeable. However if I had to buy 4k again, I’d want to go for something at least 34″ or larger.

I was very unsure about this monitor. I was previously using a 24″ TN Benq Gaming monitor. Recently I’ve had to consider a multi monitor setup due to work.

To reduce the space on my desk and keep it tidy I opted for this monitor. It is great for productivity. I have two computer running picture by picture at 1920 x 2160. This is a great resolution for web pages and viewing documents.

I’ve viewed some 4k content and everything looks rich and colourful.

I played some games at 4k and everything popped and look very crisp. DOOM was particularly satisfying.

Please note only HDMI port 2 is 60hz, the other is 30hz at 4k. The only other down side is being a TN panel you do need to have it in front of you to get accurate colour. About 45 degrees horizontal or vertical the colours start to warp. Not a problem for me as I have a monitor arm to position it based on my preference.

For the price fantastic and recommended.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat monitor for a really cheap price. The graphics is nearly perfect. Unfortunately the video card on my laptop probably doesn’t support 60Hz refresh rate so the maximum I can get on my settings is actually 30Hz. So I can definitely notice some lagging. But overral I’m happy with the monitor.

The only thing that I really do not like this is. This monitor supports a headphone jack audio output, but it doesn’t have a built-in speaker. So when you choose the monitor as the audio output device, you will hear no sound at all unless you plug in your headphone, or an external speaker. This does not bother me, but it just doesn’t feel right to me. At first I thought the built-in speaker is broken, but then I searched everywhere for the speaker and realized it simply doesn’t have a speake

Awesome, perfect for price. Bare in mind it's a TN panel, meaning that the colours slightly changes when viewed at different angles: Even when viewed directly from the front, if the whole screen is the same colour, you can see the colour looks different towards the edges (because the viewing angle increases). It is barely noticeable though.

The bevels are very deep, and you can see the reflection of the screen on the inner edge. They should of made it matt black instead of glossy, which would of been an easy fix.

When the displays automatically turns off, and the mouse is then moved to reactivate the screens (I have this monitor hooked up to my windows laptop to extend the display) the screens blink on and off twice over a few seconds, which is starting to get annoying. My previous monitor did not have that problem.

Overall though it's a great 4k screen. I'll be upgrading within a year though I expect because of those minor but annoying problems

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought this product from Amazon UK and It’s fantastic. I got it to go along side my Playstation pro. And they work perfect. The pictures quality is unbelievable, super fast response times for stunning 4k gaming, super sampling upscale or down scale, or even native 4k it dose the lot. You can watch youtub in 4k and netflicks. Fps games are so quick it’s well worth it just hope sony patch in 4k on to the blueray drive they did it with 3d and hdr. So hope they do it with the pro.this monitor is worth the money. But this samsung 28″ uhd monitor is perfect for what I need it for it dose not support hdr but it’s 8 million pixels make up for it, plus monitors can have higher lighting and Colour shaders Anyway. If you are a xbox owner or a playstation or playstation pro owner then look now further it has 2 hdmi ports on it port one will display up to 1080p and upscale and port 2 is 2120p 4k and for pc owners you can link up a second monitor to its as well hope this review helps.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSpeedy delivery. Excellent packaging. The monitor is large. HDMI cable is easy to attach to Apple mac mini. There is another lead to connect the monitor to my computer. The lead enables the monitor to load the supplied installation disc. I tried to attach the lead to my Apple mac mini and discovered that the usb ports on Apple required a display port converter cable. I purchased Ugreen Gold plated HDMI with usb power converter cable and the picture quality has improved. You need to load the software onto your computer MAC/Windows. I had to purchase an external apple drive to load the disc and it worked first time. The monitor has improved software I use for web designing. Rapid weaver 6 on El Capitan works if you have a 4K monitor. Samsung Monitor is terrific for video and zooming in on raw photos. Best product for gamers, students, family, friends, relatives and that special person in your life. Highly impressed with the price and quality.
