Its really easy to use and set up, first time had a tablet so had my worries o how it would be to set up but set it up in no time what so ever as a basic tablet, then set up my phone to it and was really surprised how easy it was to do, I would deffo look at another Samsung tab in the future and for the price this was I really.cant believe how good it is

Device was reconditioned. Came nice and clean with original box and everything. But sadly was locked under Factory Reset Protection (FRP) and needed a PIN. Did some google search and it quickly became apparent that even if its factory reset (doesn’t matter how many times), only the previous original owner could really unlock it as its locked under their email.

The device was useless to me…on it’s way back to Amazon now.

I was misled as I purchased this on the understanding that I could install WhatsApp without needing a phone. This was not so as when I tried to install WhatsApp it told me I now needed a much later phone.

I haven’t noticed any issues with speed or software despite this being the “old” version. Would recommend for kids as a cheaper option than an iPad and if configured properly using Google Families has plenty of control and protection.

I wanted a reasonably priced tablet for light usage (emails, internet, TV but not gaming). This fits the bill well. Despite not having any instructions in English, which was quite irritating, it was easy to set up and works well (at least in the first week!). It is a bit heavier than I expected, but that is not too much of a problem.

Great product, but doesn’t work with every USB-C third party charger.
Works and charges fine with the supplied charger of course.
I thought I had knackered this tablet by leaving it at 0% charge for a month or more.
It wouldn’t charge above 1%.
But then I realized I was using a third party 100W charger.
I tried the original supplied low power charger and everything was fine again !

I have been recently diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and cannot wear my glasses in bed now as I now need to use a face mask to breathe but I can increase the Font size on this tablet sufficiently that I can read on it WITHOUT glasses. I have had a small Samsung Tablet previously but this one has such a lot of features I could probably do most things on it if I didn’t already have a MAC and a Windows Laptop. I recenly took it to a public hearing and it was unobtrusive enough to see to use without attracting attention. I am sure I will lose the pen but hey whats new….Very good indeed!

I accidently broke my wife’s tablet so had to get a replacement quickly. This tablet has a better than the previous one and the battery lasts longer though the charge never seems to last on tablets anyway.

I bought this tablet for a Christmas present for my son and he has not put it down since Christmas day!!! It’s amazing the screen size is great it has lots of memory and easy to use. Can download all apps from play store. My son had other devices but he wanted to play Roblox and it didn’t seem to work on other devices but works perfectly on this tablet. We have one happy 8 year old. This tablet is perfect for adults to I’m thinking of purchasing one for myself I was that impressed

I use it for a week and I am satisfied. Screen resolution and colors are good. Battery life is quite impressive. It is a bit too heavy and wifi signal is prone to dropping sometimes.

I bought the Samsung Tab 8 after my IPad 3rd gen was unfortunately stolen and I couldn’t afford to replace it at the usual apple prices.

In terms of quality the screen/picture isn’t quite as good as the IPad but after using it for a while this is something I got used to and no longer bothers me.

The battery life is great. I use this for 4 hours a day mostly and only have to charge it about once a week or so which is fantastic.

The biggest issue I have with this tablet is the wireless connections, both Bluetooth and WiFi. Unfortunately they regularly drop out and sometimes even turn themselves off completely if the tablet is locked.

I am very happy with Samsung equipment generally. It just works. Does everything I need it to do. I bought this because my 8 Gb version ran out of memory. I have had it probably 10 years.
My only reason for dropping the grade to 4 star is the battery life its poor I have to plug it in everyday I don’t use it that much but it drains quicker than I would expect on a new machine.

Ive put off buying a tablet for a while, but scrolling on a small phone is often hard and images cannot often be expanded enough to make out detail. I chose Samsung as I am a Samsung phone user and a degree of cross compatibility was desired for apps and functions. I can use my phone as an access point when needed tethering tablet to phone.

I’m more than happy with it. Battery life is decent, it’s big enough for clear viewing, but small enough to easily fit into my bag making it easy to take with me. I can also power it off the cab supply via a USB charger.

I work away a lot and ordered this at home, to be delivered to an Amazon locker near work 150 miles away. Its a great handy system I’ve used several times and will do again.

I used to have a tab7 and bought this tab8 with a delightful surprise. This tab8 has a bigger screen which is amazing for films and playing games also it’s battery life is phenomenal once I take it out of the charge in the morning it lasts from 100 to the evening with only one charge. The price was more than I would want it to but it didn’t disappoint. Great purchase!

I got this tablet very cheaply thanks to a deal and some vouchers. I wasn’t expecting much when I got it but it was a little slower than I expected. Nonetheless, it does do everything I wanted it to do which was basic browsing and watching videos, with the occasional use of social apps.

It’s not very responsive at times, especially if you install a lot of apps or have too much open. I found that turning on android developer settings (a quick search will tell you how) and turning on “Force 4x MSAA” helped to speed up responsiveness by a fair amount. Coupled with turning off window, transition and animator scale, as well as setting “Logger buffer size” to off, it becomes a much more usable device.

Read many negative reviews online about this tablet, but having just bought my wife an A7 which was also panned by the critics and coming to the conclusion that they were mostly wrong I gave it a shot. As before, they are mostly wrong about this tablet. True its not an iPad or one of the more expensive Samsung Tabs but nonetheless its very competent. Two things that let it down are a lack of a flash and mean storage space. You can expand the storage – I believe its up to a TB- so that is mitigated, the camera you will just have to live with. The other criticisms battery life, poor screen, bad build quality must just be down to individual taste or bad luck because none of those issues are present in my tablet. For the sake of fairness I should point out that some people buy tablets expecting them to have the capabilities of a laptop, but it doesn’t matter what your poison is in mobile tech, its still just a tablet. So don’t expect too much. All in all good enough for most people.

Doesn’t come with any themes other than the paint-brush effect you see in the marketing. I would personally like the option to have plain black backgrounds on home screen… not available! Very odd.

Also, the on/off button is right next to the volume rocker and feels identical, so it’s very hard to feel the volume rocker and easy to press the on/off accidentally. They should have texturized the volume rocker.

Another strange feature is when turning it off at night… it makes you enter the PIN code to turn it off! Why!?

Aside from these quite minor issues, I think so far it’s a lovely tablet, thin, smart looking, feels high quality. Good size screen to body ratio. Has a mini jack headphone socket which is EXCELLENT! Can take a micro SD card which gives you tonnes and tonnes of gigabytes storage.

I use tablets for internet browsing, Kindle books and watching YT. Not for gaming or taking photos/videos.

Good product from Samsung.
