I put this card to the test today taking lots of photographs and uploaded them quickly, without any issues.
Already have a 125 GB SanDisk which has been performing well for a few years.
Good quality as always~only slight gripe is that the chance to buy 4 at a lower price would not come up on one purchase~it only permitted 2. Messaged the seller without any response.
Cannot fault the amazon prime delivery service, but i have my reservations of the card i bought. I always run a speed check when purchasing new cards to ensure it’s not a fake.
I am using a USB 3.0 reader (Lexar Pro LRW300U) and the software was Blackmagicdesign)
Write Speed: 83.3 MB/s
Read Speed: 92.0 MB/s
It does state ‘Upto’ 200 MB/s and give the setup i cannot be too critical.
Aside from the 108MB/s speed delta, it’s already been used on a job with no issue.
This card outperforms an sx11 v90 card that I bought to speed up exposures of birds in flight. The v90 has become very slow at landscape exposures, and the Scandisk is a dream in comparison. I think the main reason for the discrepancy is that although some higher quality cards are marketed for use in crop sensor DSLRS, the cameras’ technology cannot stretch to delivering.
I previously bought (and still use) Scandisk Extreme cards. I find the Extreme Pro has the edge on my other cards.
I’d had problems with a Pro portable audio recorder failing to record properly to a previous SD card. Think the problem was partly due to heat in the sun and the relentlessness of the data writing that occurs with such an audio recorder (the card then gets even hotter). This card has so far had no problems when used outside in the sunshine (not that there has been much sunshine this Summer!) recording 8 tracks at 24-bit 48KHz sample rate for hours on end. No hesitation recommending this if you’ve experienced similar problems on an OB or when location recording.
Excellent card which operates just as it says it will.
I’ve been using the SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC card for a few weeks now, and I’ve been very impressed with it. I’ve been able to record and transfer 4K video quickly and without any issues, and the card has been very reliable.
Overall, I’m very happy with the SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC card. It’s a great choice for video editors who need a fast, reliable, and durable card.
does what it says on the tin. its very fast too
Bought for my 20mb Panasonic camera. This camera needs a fast speed SD card and this one fits the bill nicely.
Have used SanDisk cards professionally for years, never been a problem. I have always replaced them on a regular basis, and sometimes split shoots between cards, the size price of cards and write speeds amaze me, how fast and cheap they are now!
I had a similar card but had a slower speed, have been using that for around 6 years but every now and then I get errors so purchased this in case of failure.
I have no issues with the card, very quick when taking bursts and download them onto my laptop at the end of a photo session. No complaints from me and would certainly buy another one
Works fine with camera, just starting out so i am only using it for basics
Never had one of these cards fail. The 128GB is a must have for any photographer. Writes fast enough and transfers in the time it takes to make a cuppa.
This memory card* is good quality products, however it was purchase for my grandson’s phone, but is not for phone’s it’s for cameras, he was a little disappointed on his purchase, and a bit upset over it..
San disc has a reputation & probably trades on it somewhat. I have used an almost identical item for quite a few years with no problems. This new card replaces an older card that has started to be unreliable for important work . . . new loading errors or difficulty transferring images on to the computer etc.
Very happy with yet another SanDisk card. I have twelve of various speeds and capacities and have never experienced a corrupted or failed card. I know it can happen but it hasn’t been the case for me.
I made the mistake of buying a card from a well known phone, tv and tablet manufacturer and for the second time their card failed, the newest one failed on first use.
I find SanDisk and Lexar are reliable and durable and would recommend either.
I have now been using this card for a number of weeks and everything has been fine. I have used these cards before but these are slightly faster than my previous buys. My camera also uses a CF Express card and I can’t really say that I notice a great difference between the 2 cards when the camera automatically switches to the SD card, therefore so far really pleased with their performance.
Arrived on time, was well packaged and does exactly what it should
I’ve always used Sandisk and always been happy. I continue to be amazed at how the price per gigabyte keeps dropping
Bought for new digital camera that has burst facility. The write speed is excellent and at 11 frames per second there is no lag. I have no idea just how many pictures that this card can hold. Just fired off 1200 frames on holiday at very fine Jpeg and camera still indicates 9999 left! For the price this must be the bargain of the year. Of course there are cheaper options but with this brand name you are buying with much more security and confidence.
I’ve bought dozens of these Extreme cards over the years (95MB/s, 100MB/s, 170MB/s and now 200MB/s editions), so I know exactly what to expect. But what I didn’t realise until recently is that Sandisk’s SD card speeds are stated much higher than you would typically get, unless you own a very specific SD card reader.
Sandisk’s recent UHS-I (64GB and higher) cards now have “SanDisk QuickFlow Technology” in order to reach these faster speeds. If you do not own a SD card reader with this SanDisk QuickFlow Technology, you will struggle to see consistent speeds much above the standard SD UHS-1 read speeds – approximately 100MB/s (that’s about 90MB/s write speed). It shouldn’t matter what version of USB-C interface is used, since 200MB/s is the same as 1.6Gbps – i.e. still much less than the 5Gbps speed of USB 3.0 (aka 3.2 gen 1) and much less than the 10Gbps of USB 3.2 gen 2. Any USB-3 port should be fast enough.
Sandisk’s Extreme Pro USH-II USB-C reader (previously sold with these cards) does NOT include Quickflow Technology. The Sandisk Professional card readers that do have Quickflow have their own caveats (the one with a CF card slot can reach speeds of 170MB/s, the one without a CF card slot can reach 200MB/s but cannot read the additional pins from UHS-II cards). Google “SanDisk Quickflow Tech Brief” for clarification – because it’s a mess to understand.
I would also state that I’ve always bought my cards shipped by and SOLD BY Amazon. The seller is important – as you will always get the real thing. I would be wary of using any Warehouse versions as you don’t know who the original seller is. These Extreme and Extreme PRO cards have always been prone to fake knockoffs. The prices here also fluctuate a lot, so I always put the desired cards in my wish list and pounce when it drops.
I personally steer away from their Sandisk’s “Ultra” line, simply because I’ve had too many failures – something I’ve never experienced with the “Extreme” products. So the extra is worth it if reliability is a necessity.
I’ve had the luxury of dealing with Sandisk warranty support a few times (typically the SD card becomes ‘locked’ and cannot be formatted properly), and they have always been excellent to deal with. Just take a photograph of the serial number and fill out a form on their website. They usually send back a better card anyway.
Hope that helps.
I have 10 of these in 32g none have let me dow
Bought it discounted. This is a very fast card. Worked well in a 4K camera
Have bought about 20 of these card over the years. Always been reliable and fair value
Bought this for my Camera, delivered quickly and fitted straight away. Used non stop for the first week and read and write speeds acceptable and more importantly plenty of space. Would buy again.
I always choose SanDisk for memory cards and this one is up to the good known standards. Didn’t have issues with it, works as expected. Good speed, good value for money.
Does exactly what it says on the label and is almost silly money when on a deal
Just like expected, great quality, a great price, definitely worth it.
Super fast delivery. Great price. The card is ideal for music gigs. Very fast transfer onto the card. Plenty of capacity even shooting in RAW. Will be buying some more
It’s pretty fast, READ at 177MB/s and write at 140MB/s on Windows , 160MB/s read and 128MB/s on Mac. However, you need to have an UHS-II grade SDcard reader in order to achieve this speed. Moreover, you will need a relative new usb 3.2 gen 2×1 10gbps slot on your PC or Mac in order to fully utilize the UHS-II grade SD card reader. So, for all other speed test you see in the comments that is not having the same speed you see in my screenshot, they either not having the USB 3.2 gen 2×1 10gbps slot, or not having the UHS-II grade SDcard reader.
I am using Anker USB-C SD 4.0 Card Reader, PowerExpand+ 2-in-1 Memory Card Reader, https://amzn.eu/d/5RgXOb5
I had one and dropped it and a bit of plastic came away and no longer fits in camera. On the plus side it works with sony a72 and is fast getting footage off
SanDisk cards have never failed me so far. 2 other makes have failed. 1 fell apart and the other became unreliable. Some other cards are slow to write to and read despite the claims they make. This slows my cameras down and takes longer to upload photos from the cards. For this reason I will stay with this make as long as the prices remain reasonable. This was a bargain price. Just keep an eye out for fakes, particularly with offers that appear to be too good. Be sure (as you can be) of the seller. Do your homework and check the prices from several sources as they prices tend to fall and the performance goes up. Avoid the older versions even if the speed makes no difference as these cards last a long time and you may want more speed in the future. Final word: make sure this is compatible with the device you intend using it for. SanDisk cards have worked in all my devices so far without any compatibility issues.
