Bought this for my GoPro 12.
A LOT of storage and good quality.
I recorded a week’s worth of holiday footage with a lot of storage left unused.
At 16:9 4k 50fps video I’m looking at over 16 hours of footage.
Bought to use in my Insta 360 x3. What can I say. It works perfectly in the Insta and I have had no issues in reading or writing to this memory card.
Use a few of these for action cameras and drone footage. Never had an issue with one yet. The specifications on these particular ones are high and they are much more affordable now.
I’ve bought several of these from Amazon and have never been disappointed, very reliable and always 100% genuine cards. I use them in my drone and handheld video camera and they work great, and the free recovery software is great too (although hopefully never need it!).
Top quality SD card for use in action cameras and drones for when you want high picture quality and top speed read/write performance. I have used these for years and they’ve never failed me. This seller has them at a bargain price and with Prime delivery next day, first class service.
Have a sony PS1 xstation (modded to play ps1 games off sd card) and decided to try a cheap card. Game sound would crackle and fmv would stutter. Got a sandisk extreme to replace it and games perform flawlessly now. Taught me a lesson to pay that bit extra for sandisk products.
I found this card to be perfect for the Galaxy S20, which has the option of a micro SD card to expand the storage. Performance has been great no matter what you do; fast shoot photos/8K video/app storage, etc. Much better value than buying a phone with more built-in internal storage. Also safer, should your phone die, you still have the card to transfer/access any stored content.
SanDisk are my preferred supplier of SD Cards and I have used them in lots of devices over many years, with only one failure. This 256GB card was purchased for use with a GoPro MAX, which is the 360 degree version of GoPro cameras and this card capacity is the largest which this camera can handle.
When initially I put the card in the camera, it wasn’t recognised, so I formatted it on a windows 11 PC using the SD Card Association’s formatting software and then formatted the card again in the GoPro Max camera, using it’s formatting option.
All good and the card is working perfectly.
Write and read speed are great and I’ve not had any issues shooting 4k HQ video at 30 FPS. This gives about 2 hours of footage per card – more than enough!!
SD adaptor comes in the box, so easy transfer from drone to PC/Mac.
Do yourself a favour and get a few of these and pop them in your drone bag, just in case you leave one in the computer during transfer.
Make sure to re-format them with the SD Association formatter (a free download, google it) as it can make a real difference to latency.
If you need a card for a continuously-writing application like a dashcam, I’d suggest buying specific high endurance cards. I tend to buy the Samsung Pro Endurance cards for this, which are reliable and good value. However, for applications where performance is the main requirement, these have become my default choice for a reason. Every now and then, I try other brands and lines, benchmarking obsessively, but these remain unbeaten.
When buying, have a think about how much space you need and look at the price per gigabyte. There are often value “sweet spots”, which can give you better bang for buck. In any case, the Sandisk Extreme PRO (crazy name, crazy guy) still represent reasonable value for what they are. Very much recommended.
Used in my drone on holiday saved alot of swopping and changing out with 64gb drives as we were travelling very ligh
Just by curiosity, because I also wanted to see the difference between SD hosts/adaptors.
I have a 2014 Mac Book Pro. On Mac’s port, I got around 90MB/s. On the same computer with a USB3 adaptor, I got 174MB/s almost double the speed. To be honest every measurement is slightly different. Please don’t take the numbers as an exact measure. They are not the maximum or minimum measurements, just at the time I measured them. It can vary anytime.
So keep in mind if you feel like SD is not fast, it may be because of your reader/adaptor or the device. Test with different options.
I hope this info helps you.
Bought this as apposed to lower speed Extreme because it was slightly lower priced With the free Post.
Something to consider to beat the 20 threshold.
Just grab this its the high end stuff when it comes to memory cards on the marke
I bought this primarily to use as a boot drive in a 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (pop goes my warranty?) but in a fast USB 3.0 card reader rather than in the Pi’s A1-rated integrated microSD card slot.
This should provide performance close to a very fast HDD but the size of a little fingernail, and that will be plenty fast enough as it’s going to be used as a 1080p network streaming media centre with all media stored remotely.
The capacity I chose is far larger than I need, but this will hopefully help the drive’s longevity, not that I’ve had a single Sandisk microSD card fail in donkey’s years of Pi-ing.
I’ll give this one a big thumbs-up for now.
I purchased this for my dash cam but unfortunately it didn’t work kept freezing contacted Nextbase they stayed you have to use their own memory card even though this memory card seems to be a higher specification then there’s
