Ordered as a gift for our son. Easy to put together. All parts present and correct. And the manual is in English. Winner!
Good for what we needed it for cheap bike to get back and forth to work
Seat was uncomfortable so probably will replace it and was built for a smaller man. A little small for my husband.
All over a brilliant bike and one very happy girl.
easy to assemble, feels good and solid when riding, looks stylish, few people who have asked me about it surprised how cheap….
I absolutely love this bike!! It’s reliable and easy to ride. Easy to assemble, takes ten minutes if you know what you’re doing. Went to Cannock Chase earlier today and it was amazingly grippy going up and down steep hills and around sharp corners. If you want a reliable mountain bike this is the bike for you.
Overall it is a very good bit of kit, although it only has 7 gears they are spaced well for different terrains. One issue I had was that even though I only weigh about 11stone the saddle post was not up to the job and the saddle kept moving no matter how tight I tightened the nuts, the post has since been changed. It is now a 5 star bike.
Overall a good bike… the gears took a bit of tinkering with to get them all working correctly but I did manage to do it, it all ran really smoothly once it was all set up.. the only complaint really were the stickers, some of them had been stuck on really badly so I ripped them off… make sure you check all nuts and bolts and tighten them up securely before riding.
The bike is for my partner and it’s a good starter. Cheap, but heavy! Easy to assemble but trying to tweak the gears so she can use them all is almost impossible. It’s the same for 3 of the schwinn bikes I have so it’s obviously an issue. But for the price it is a better bike than the euro bike also sold on Amazo
The bike is quite heavy, I am using it to go to work for about 5 miles which is OK as a beninning. I am not an expert of bike, so I had to read carefully the instruction to set up everything and especially the breaks. The front and back wheels were touching the break pads. If you need to go fast you have only 7 speed so don’t expect a lot. Seat is uncomfortable so I’m buying a cover seat with gel to solve the problem. Finally I would say it does the job but of course do not expect a lot especially for this price. About the design and colors is very good to see.
Firstly the reason this bike only got a 4* rating is the assembly manuals were in many languages other than English, as I live in the UK it would have been prudent to send me assembly manuals in English. There was a video on Amazon in English that takes you through the assembly instructions but the part on how to align the front disc brake is poor. Other than the above the bike is a bargain, I am 5ft 8in and the bike suits me well, no doubt if you are a lot taller then this frame size is not for you. One other customer noted that when you term sharp your foot has a tendancy to catch the front wheel as the frame on this bike is short, I also agree with that as the same has occured.
The saddle is a little hard and unforgiving, you will want to change that ASAP. The bike has a few miles and trails behind it now and holds up well. The only suspension is up the front end so expect some bumbs and what not at the rear. The 7 speeds suit my riding as really do not need 21 or more speeds for where I ride, brakes are super good and colourway is nice and bright.
Overall bike works well for me.
I was apprehensive at first buying this bike because of the negative comments, but after taking an hour to put it together, I really liked the bike. For the money, it’s right at the top. The only thing I’m worried about is the front tire goes flat after 1 night, so they may have sent me a defective tire.
Update 21/december 2021: They replaced the tyre for me, but I’d to return the whole bike in order to get the tyre changed!
After riding this bike since buying it, I still like it very much, but I would add this. You really need to be a bit mechanical minded to get the best from this bike. For example, it kept jumping out of gear and it wouldn’t go to the 1st gear. What you need to do is to fine-tuneadjust the gears and then its fine. Not too difficult, but still necessary.
All in all, i would still buy this bike again. Its good value for money, quite light and the build quality seems good — but only time will tell for certain.
The disk brakes make lots of noise when decreasing speed, it is a little annoying. I paid a service to improve allignment but improved little. Apart from that very good. I used it almost every day.
Difficult to install guards, gaskets, etc. I 3D printed parts to allow installation of different features.
good bike for the price.nice to ride. had to buy a padded seat cover as seat was a tad hard for me.for the price i cant fault it. i did buy extras.ie.mud guards.
Mostly assembled, front wheel is inflated but back wheel has a slow puncture. But all in all it is a good cycle, not to be used as an all terrains but good with road and pavement. Had a bit of trouble with the seat as the pointy end could not be lowered as the nut and bolt holding in place is painted solid but I won’t give up trying
Hi,I bought this bacicle I love it but the left pedal came with a problem, please can I have another one please thank you
Front tyre came flat. Worried was defective but pumped up fine. Hold for front mud guard isn’t a hole that goes through and through bike casing so mudguard I bought technically fits but comes loose often and rattles. Not issue as can be easily sorted. Otherwise good sturdy bike. Only been out on the road ect once with no real issues. Only time will tell. Seat quite narrow at front so you feel it after first ride but no doubt will get used to. All in all a good buy with few issues to date.
This is a superb bike for teens and adults. Its a short bike so if you ride with your feet hanging over the pedals you will need to be careful turning corners as you can hit the front wheel with your foot in this position. If you ride with the ball of your foot on the pedal then riding is no problem at all.
when I was considering purchasing this bike the first review I saw said that the bike was only suitable for children? I am a 60 year old 5’11” fat man and I find this bike a pleasure to ride. I havent even got the saddle and handlebars much above their lowest position and the bike fits me perfectly (standing over it on slightly raised feet the saddle just touches me) so along with many other adults who have given this bike a good review It MOST CERTAINLY IS OK FOR ADULT RIDERS.
The bike comes shipped with the front wheel and handlebars removed (to keep the package size down) so when you receive it you will have to spend an hour or so (or 20 mins if you fix bikes up frequently) putting it together. This is not difficult as long as you can use a spanner, an alen key and some wire cutters to cut the cable ties that hold it all together in the box. All the tools needed to put the bike together are supplied with it along with a 68 page manual (all in english for bikes sold here) that explains how to assemble your bike . The manual is well written and easy enough to follow and along with initial assembly instructions it covers maintainence and safty. One item that is not supplied with the bike that you may want to purchase is a pump. You can either use a car pump or buy a bicycle pump that is suitable for mountain bike tire valves.
Once assembled you may want to adjust the brakes and gears. As shipped from the supplier these are adjusted reasonably but possibly not optimally. I found the brakes a little on the soft side and the gears a little tardy at the extreme’s (first and seventh). for the brakes I think they are supplied soft to reduce the chances of an inexperienced rider launching themselves over the handlebars after heaving on the front brake. Deralier (sp?) gears are always hard to get just right and its probably best to ride it for a while as it comes until everything has bedded down. Instructions for adjusting both can be found in the “Owners Manual” supplied with the bike.
I ride my bike for exercise and a pleasure and usually cover 15 – 25 miles on a ride. I havent ridden a bike for over 10 years so when I get home I am usually sore and tired. I find this bike to be about as comfortable as it could be in the terrain I ride on (forest tracks). On a smooth road its superbly comfortable but even over rough tracks its not bad.
Before you take yours out you may want to replace the bell that comes with it with a decent one, buy a pump and possibly an emergency tire inflator (if you plan on riding over rough paths) and put at least a rear mudguard on it. All of these can be had from Amazon and will add ~ 40 – 50 to the price depending on the items you choose.
Its a superb bike and at less than 200 its a bargain. Its reasonably light, well constructed (good sturdy frame), I think it looks quite nice and it rides very well.
I like it ,it is a great bike, now it might be because I haven’t used a bike in years but my butt it hurting on itit could definitely use a softer seat. Other than that everything is just great, the breaks are working perfectly, although I feel like they could have sent a repair kit or something with it.
Easy to assemble. Did it by myself in minutes. All tools included, except tyre pump.
Breaks are mediocre and I wouldn’t trust them on a challenging downhill run.
Gears are disappointing. They keep slipping and are not well aligned. Means I avoid 1st and 7th of the seven gears.
The rubber cover on the right hand handlebar grip (beside the gear shift) has come loose by over an inch after only one 10km ride in the woods.
Wanted to get back bike riding, and went for this bike for the style of the bike ,and the medium price range . Easy to assemble just got to put front wheel on (spanner) and handlebars (Allen key) put some air in tyres and your ready to go.
Only thing I did find first time on bike seat was hard in my view, so i bought a padded seat to fit over the original one . But other than that REALLY HAPPY with this bike ….
