Tried these on try before you buy, gave me 7 days to see if they are OK, and yes, in work shoes all day and they are very comfortable and legs don’t feel as tired at the end of the day
Got to say been wearing work shoes for 35 years and these Skechers work wear are amazing, it’s like I have cut a piece of my octasmart mattress off and built a shoe round it, would recommend to anyone who wants to look after there feet, thanks Chris
Was issued with work steel toecap shoes, I ended up with black toe nails and sore feet so bought these.
Very comfortable and durable.
I have an app that measures the number of steps I do, after 2 million steps they’re still in good nick and comfortable, they even still look good.
I would highly recommend these shoes.
Being heavier than most, I thought these may not do the trick, but they have lived up to the hype!
I have 2 other pairs – both good makes, and my feet really hurt after a day in those.
I have been wearing these for the whole day, and am on my feet for most of it. They are now into their 3rd week and going well.
No smells, and fit very well.
Very comfortable plus wide enough for my feet. Best safety shoes for me yet.
I like it as its very comfortable and quality is good
They are so light and comfortable, my company normally provide them but I wanted the comfort of my Skecher trainers and they do not disappoint.
I bought them expecialy for fitting scertings:) cos ussually wearing timberland pro trainers just they not keeping well for scerting i know cos its 3rd pair for me
And this trainers even much vetter then i was expecting for the price i paid very satisfied. Thank you and definatly recomending for building sites they very good
No need to wear them in. Very comfy from the first day
They are more a shoes than a trainer
Typical Sketcher feel
Purchased the shoes because I need comfortable shoes for long 12 hour shifts
At the moment they’re nice and comfortable however my feet do slip in unless I’ve fully laced my feet up!
Apart from that all tickity boo
Had these for a few months now, first impression was they felt odd because of support they give but after a while you get used to it and its ok.
They are what I would say a bit clumpy compared to other trainer style steel toe capped trainers but again you get used to wearing them.
The outside has stayed in great condition so far through winter but I am only a driver so they don’t get abused.
One thing I am noticing already is the sole is starting to wear in areas I guess where I’m heavy footed but as I’m not on them all day it shouldn’t be a problem.
All in all yeah your paying more for this shoe but I do think it’s maybe worth i
I love these I need safety shoes for work and I do 10,000-20,000 steps a day sometimes 7 days a week unfortunately the insole falls apart after a few months I found a good replacement on amazon but a few months later the inside of the shoes around the heal falls apart. They are so comfortable I just buy another pair I’m on my third pair now in just over a yea
My second pair of these, as the most smart and comfortable work shoe I have found for someone who has what I’d call ‘fat feet’ (other shoes make my toes feel cramped) these are true to size with the benefit of a roomy toe area. As a parcel delivery driver these shoes have to take a lot of wear and my previous pair only lasted just over 6 months, but I’ve had the same again as worth it for the comfort . I found that they need to be laced through the loops in the tongue to keep the tongue from moving about. Thoroughly recommend these shoes
Have to say first a really good fit plenty of arch support and a nice training shoe to wear.
I do have one comment to make that affects the wearing of them in some situations.
The Tongue of the shoe is only connected at its end and there is no web down its sides. This means if you wear them in a situation where particles of grit/gravel/dust is around the particles sit in the lace area and work their way into the shoe. This means you are forever having to take them off and shake out the bits
No problem in normal use but wouldn’t reccomend them for site work
Memory foam insoles are a great idea, right?
Well I had my reservations before I ordered, but I thought I’d give them a try.
Memory foam just isn’t a durable enough material for insoles and sure enough, they’re being worn away after a few weeks wear, creating an uneven surface and causing discomfort.
The simple solution would be to remove them and replace them with gel ones, as the shoes themselves are quality….but guess what? You can’t. They’re flipping welded to the sole.
Don’t get me wrong, they’re a good work shoe but badly let down by this ridiculous flaw.
I bought these shoes for use in an engineering factory. They are very comfortable and light. The only downside is that my feet get very hot in them. Would be ideal if we’re a bit more breathable for your fee
During furlough I got a second job helping out in a beer shop/warehouse on my feet all day so bought these for comfort. After a few weeks of satisfied use I knelt down to fill some shelves and the protective toe cap in the right shoe became dislodged pressing against my toe, I removed the shoe fiddled about with it and carried on, later it did it again and I couldn’t get the shoe back on. I sent them back, no quibble Amazon and received another pair several weeks later. So far so good but I am avoiding stressing the shoes while half kneeling. Not the lightest but if that was an unfortunate one off and these stay together I shall be pleased. They come in useful half sizes too.
I purchased these based on the comfort of my other ‘civvy street’ Sketchers which, are excellent.
My existing work shoes were causing sore feet when stomping around on hard concrete floors all day.
These ‘work’ sketchers are a huge improvement but not perfect.
Firstly the fit. Relaxed is probably the right description, they are roomy for me and i have wide feet.
The heel area seems to lack close fitting support and my heel slips up/down in the shoe as i walk.
This allows for excellent movement and flexibility but doesn’t feel very secure for a work shoe.
Quality is excellent. Sturdy, well made and for once a decent looking shoe, well done Sketchers.
My one caveat is the lace eyelets. They are not the usual metal eyelets but a ‘nylon-like’ material that
doesnt give me much confidence when pulling hard on the laces. They havent broken yet but im wondering how long they will last.
Grip is excellent. The soles dont look much compared with the ‘off road tyre’ look of some shoes, but the grip is as good as it gets.
I was a little disappointed by the comfort. My other Sketchers are the best for comfort but these still left me with slightly sore feet at the end of a long day. I have however solved this by fitting additional memory foam insoles. They are now excellent and have the added benefit of taking up some of the slack, sorry, relaxed fitting.
Not being waterproof is a sin in my book for a work shoe. However if you work indoors thats not an issue.
All in all, a very good shoe, not perfect but probably some of the very best.
Update:
My concerns about the eyelets were unfounded, after a few weeks of heavy use, they stand up to the rigours of ‘contractual’ use. They have now ‘moulded’ to my feet, show no signs of degrading and are finally comfortable, it took a few weeks. But i now wont part with them.
I currently work in a high paced supermarket so they get a fair amount of punishment. Though this is my second pair(and third set of laces) of these work trainers in 12months.
They are extremely comfortable with the memory foam insoles and fit at a slightly smaller size than I expected (normally a UK 9.5/10 but a 9 fits well). The tread is very durable even with the small pattern with excellent slip resistance on wet and slightly oily floors(commercial kitchen work too). The general design and manufacturing is good. The only real problem I find with these is that if you need to kneel and stand a lot the seems start to give where the hardened toes ends and the laces begin.
So if you need to have nice shoes these will make the cut but unfortunately will succumb to punishment after a fair amount of time (They get about 40ish hours of high paced use a week). I would also recommend getting more durable laces for them as well.
