SD Scan Utility
Over time all SD card memory wears out and the card stops recording data reliably. Sony’s SD Scan Utility regularly and automatically scans your SD memory cards and lets you know before they reach their limits.
Memory Card File Rescue
Never fear. Even when things go wrong, you can avoid disaster with downloadable rescue software that recovers accidentally deleted files and corrupted photo and video files in todays’ most common formats.

I’ve used the usual Lexar, Sandisk and prograde in the past. I now only use Sony tough cards in my cameras. These are reassuringly solid and well designed cards with excellent performance to boot. They’re not cheap but worth it if you do any sort of paid work for the added reassurance.
You can get cheap memory cards and you can get reliable and quick memory cards. I have yet to see reliable, quick and cheap memory cards. Because I need reliable and quick I have to forgo the cheap bit. So I do hand over more cash than I would want to but the card does the job well.
These are the quickest and best SD cards available ever with current technology and just get the job done.
Works nice and fast on my A7III, and I can shoot a good number of RAW shots before filling up the card.
I had some compatibility issues with a Nikon D750, owned by my company, where it would think the card was corrupted, but I realise it’s not a normal camera in which to use the card. Maybe beware if you use older backup cameras
Using it with a my Canon 5D mark IV, works well and is fast enough for 4K video recording on the camera, not had it long, will post in future if it fails. But for now, happy with purchase.
Memory card will fit for what It’s needed for I still can’t see why so expensive, I guess ifbu want one I have to pay through the nose
I also have a few ProGrade V90 cards and they perform equally well so don’t feel you have to buy Sony to get the best performance. On paper the Sony cards have the edge with regard to write speed but in real-world terms they both perform equally well in cameras like the A7S3, FX3 and FX6.
Also these cards will allow internal recording of HFR 4K UHD 120P and HD 240P in XAVC-i, but not 4k DCI on the FX6 only (correct as of Feb 2022 – this may change with future firmware?)
Really good card, better than what I normally buy. Spot on.
Great product with outstanding performance. The size is very slightly off which means getting it in to some cameras can be a little delicate but it does fit everything I have tried and it is well worth it particularly if you need to write 4K video to an HD card!
Update : – Bought a new camera and formatted the card. Used it constantly for a few weeks and have had no problem with it.
Well I can definitely confirm that it works with a Sony A7SIII 4:2:2 10bit 4 with highest Bit rate settings, please bear in mind that you can not record 120fps you will need a cfexpress type A card. The card works also with the GH5 in all modes, but for the Gh5 it is an overkill, buy a V60, works for the GH5 in all modes.
4 stars because although this does exactly what I want it doesn’t provide full UHS-II write speeds. But that is fine as the main camera I am buying these for does not support UHS-II. The point is file sizes are now such that UHS-II makes a big difference to upload speeds with a suitable card reader. I do now have a camera that supports UHS-II but since it produces much smaller files this card is still fine. Since they are about half the price of a full chat UHS-II card I will stick with these.
The best card to use with the Playstation Portable. It is fast, avoiding long loading times or even bugs with some apps. Fixed all the issues I had with other cards I tried, from different brands.
A new camera for my wife was her present but I didn’t realise it needed extra memory! Hence, a frantic search on Amazon led me to this item. It was delivered very quickly (in time for the big day) and it just plugged in with no fuss or set up.
I have bought a few (30+) of these cards over the years and every one has proven very reliable, of course they are mainly for Sony products, I have used them in the PSP and various Sony cameras and video cameras.
The main thing with them now is that they are at a more competitive price compared with the same or similar spec standard SD card.
Nothing much more to say really… 🙂
I very recommend this item to anyone who needs one for a pro duo card. I was in desperate need of one for my camera because the internal storage was full and buying one of these was very helpful.
What can I say about the product other than it a 4gb and made by Sony. if you need a ‘memory stick pro duo, you will not do better. only downside is the price, but this one was excellent value.
She is delighted with it – she reports that it works perfectly, and is capable of storing thousands of photos, and a good few videos, giving her camera a completely new lease of life.
No more scrabbling about, deleting photos so there is room to add more. No, this card is (so far) a “bottomless pit” of photostorage.
She has been using it for 4 months without any problems at all, it is simply part of the camera.
This is actually genuine and the only one I have purchased that came in original Sony packaging that actually works and not rejected in my Sony camcorder 8GB HX sony duo
The 8GB card stores around 5000 photos. I tend to keep the photos on the card even though I upload the photos regularly. This was all correctly packaged (official product) and I hope it will last. It is a replacement for a previous Sony flash card also from Amazon which became corrupted after 6 months of normal use (thankfully I had uploaded most of the photos so only lost a dozen). Glad Amazon still stock these.
Great arrived quickly works well a lot of memory to store loads of photos and videos. Great to buy it on Amazon as could not find one to buy anywhere else, and at a fairly good price.
can only transfer certain files using this .. photos and such from cameras and tablets .. does not work as separate solid state disk storage for a pc using a memory stick slot ..
Great for Downloading PSP Movies / TV series from Sony Playstation Store. Watch all your Films or Tv series off-line on holiday no need for wifi. need adaptor to place into laptop or desk top computer. Stores all my bought playstation Movies / Tv series o to these. Bought 3 now for my PSP Movie downloads.
Got this for my partners’ video camera – replacing the original card that was slow and small in capacity. We are happy with the read and write speeds. Best to purchase directly from Amazon because you assured to get a genuine product, and in the rare instance that there may be a problem, Amazon is easy to work with unlike some third party sellers . When installed you will not get the full 16Gb from the card – but that is to be expected, so please bear this mind.On the face of it .
All in all we are pretty happy with this newer version of card from Sony.
I’d be a lot happier if sony just used the same sd cards as everyone else but their technology is pretty good so I always knew it was going to work well.
These cards are very good and are suitable for fast access as required by video storage. I have had no problems with this card at all in a number of different Sony video camcorders and they seem reliable and quick. oNLY PROBLEM IS THAT THESE ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST. tHIS IS NOT SO GOOD AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE BUT, AFTERWARDS WHEN IN A RUSH AND UNDER PRESSURE THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY!!
Difficult to write a review on “performance” of this item. It is not the first time I have ordered it and all I can say is that it does what it says and I have no doubt that I shall reorder again when I need to..
Having recently bought a Sony Handycam for Paranormal Investigations I wanted one of these as they are the base-line memory card for them. Although my camcorder has a built in 120gb hard drive I wanted piece of mind on footage transference.
I have used one of these cards in the past (a SanDisk version) on my laptop purely for document back-ups and found it quick read and write capable.
Always said Sony are the top in most things and will always stand by this.
Memory card arrived today, very quick. Well packaged and in original packing not just loose like some cards are. Had quick check in my cyber shot DSC-H3 and it worked fine, also worked in memory stick adaptor and in my computer. Will be taking on holiday within the next few months if need to I will update. Over all very satisfied.
Works perfectly with PSP 1000, and I would assume with later PSP versions as well (apart from Vita of course).
I have no idea the exact read/write speeds via PSP, as I can not be bothered to properly check, but the card is definitely much faster than the microSD +Memory Card Adapter, I have been using until now.
That’s about it really, works like a dream and huge amount of storage for your trust PSP.
Oh, the only quirk I found, is that when I first plugged the card into my PSP, the PSP recognized it ok, but wouldn’t allow me to format the card. All I did was connect my PSP to my computer, dropped a random file onto the card, then went back to the PSP settings and was able to format the card. Weird little foible…but then life is rather dull without them.
As expected the card is genuine (PSP shows MagicGate status as Supported) and works fine in a PSP 3000. It might a tad expensive as the card is generally for digital camera use, but the capacity is the major reason why I purchased it.
Wonderful ‘solid’ feeling storage card and can transfer data at 50MB per second apparently – i’ve no idea if this is good or not, but i’ve been lucky enough to be given a Sony Cybershot camera for Christmas and that’s 16 Mega pixels with 16 x optical zoom and the card can cope with ‘burst’ photography (i.e. the camera takes 20 shots in rapid succession for fast moving subjects) and it copes with that easily. Also the camera tells me that the card has room for 1409 photographs (!) so Unless you alter the settings for the very highest resolution, you’d be very hard pushed to fill the card. Nice, solid and performs well.
I have been using a 16GB card now for the past 12 months and using this size card with full feature HD1080P recording gives just over an hours worth of usage before you get the low memory message.
This 32GB card should now give me over 2 hours worth of recording time with my 16GB card as a great backup in case of need.
Let’s face it we all over-shoot video and this card will allow even more over shoot to be taken then edited down when I get back home to probably 20 minutes worth of viable holiday footage. The card also allows about a full years worth of dip in dip out footage. You know the type of thing, a good holiday abroad, 15 min at the BBQ in the summer followed by a birthday or two, then Christmas and some snow scenes in the garden, perhaps a weekend away in Europe followed by the spring flowers in the back garden and back to summer with perhaps some footage of the grandchildren or other kids in between. Transfer of footage once a year – great!
Hope this helped.
Regards.
Colin.
