I really love the Tamagotchi’s particularly the Pix and Pix Party. I got the Pix in blue as part of Christmas presents. It starts as an egg then hatched into a baby which needs to be fed milk and a rusk/ biscuit regularly! As a baby he also has a rattle in the items list and that is all he has! So you get his levels up by feeding whenever he cries out, playing with his rattle and cleaning the Poo from the floor! He quickly grows into the toddler stage and child, adolescent then adult. On day 7 he might ask to make an album but if you have friendship level to best pals you can refuse. If not he will leave in a spaceship to return to his own planet. But he will give you a new egg to start again. So if you want to keep your Tama it is necessary to build your friendship up to Best Pals.
There are many activities to keep you and your Tama happy. Food can be stored in fridge or go to restaurant to be met by waitress and shown to table and given a varied menu.
There are many different Tama’s you can get each time you hatch an egg and they all have different characteristics including likes and dislikes. There are many games to play which increases happy levels and rewards him with ‘gold’
You have to keep an eye on the happy and hunger levels and keep them as full as you can.
The Tama won’t die unless severely neglected with no food or happiness and dirty house. However, if this happens you get another egg and start generation 2 usually with a different Tamagotchi.
There is really so much to do with your Tama I was very surprised to read someone calling it boring. Not only do you have games for gold there are other games for fun i.e. card game. He can train for a profession as a musician, chef, scientist and more. You choose wallpaper themes and the decorators come in and decorate the living room and lay new carpets! There is also a bedroom, a dining room/kitchen, bathroom and a room to play cards or paint objects. And outdoor areas including an orchard. So much to do, a real variety. He calls out to you by name if he needs/wants something which might be a new accessory from the list, ( one of my Tama’s loves a space helmet and goes about looking a wee bit silly wearing it but at least he takes it off to go to bed!) play, cook, go to restaurant. If you are going out to work, school for example you can phone the sitter who comes and stays with him until you get back. This is really useful. They go to bed depending on age and different Tama’s between 8-10 pm.
A lot of people complain about battery life. I have 3 Tama’s and use a lot every day. Batteries last approx 7-10 days and that’s with a lot of photos. I use Duracell extra. If you find it is using too much then try turning the brightness down a bit maybe take less photos. If it’s a child using it check the photos as children often takes lots and this uses batteries up. Rechargeable ones are good.
As there is quite a lot of care and playing to do I recommend the Tamagotchi’s for ages approx 8 years old upwards and totally suitable for adults of all ages.
The Tamagotchi’s are amazing and full of surprises! The difference between them in the 90’s and now is like night and day. Amazon often reduce the prices for a while, sometimes the purple one will be cheaper than the other 3 then it changes. They all do same thing so it is just a preference to colour.
If you don’t have one, get one! You don’t know what you’re missing!
Me costo encontrarlo para un regalo pero acert con el, es uno de los juguetes de ms demanda en los ltimos meses!!
Great service and delivery! I am not very technically minded and it’s no fault of the manufacturer or company that sold product it’s my fault! Is anyone able to please support me into changing language from Dutch to English I googled it and I took batteries out to try again but now it won’t give me this option and it’s in Dutch and my little girl is only 6 and I’m not technically minded.
Any advice would be really appreciated thank you so much for your help .
Brings back memories. If you had one in the 90s, this is the 2020 colour upgraded version.
Delivered very fast and really fun and simple to use! The battery life lasted for around 13 days which is more than I expected reading other reviews, so will be getting some rechargeable ones.
The only complaint I’d have is how expensive it is for a device that doesn’t have too long battery life. But the nostalgia makes up for it and worth it when you’ve got money to spare and it’s on sale.
