I think it’s the 1st review from india .
I purchased this controller maily for fps shooter games which requires precision aiming (Apex legends etc) and eswap is best when compared to xbox official controller because it’s one of the premium xbox cotrollers.
THERE IS A PROBLEM Eswap is mainly known for their swapable thumbsticks but the STICKS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN INDIA and some other countries too also there is no customer support ,I hope they will sell their modules in future but currently it’s not available and you can’t claim warranty.
Pros over Xbox official
*It has mechanical keys rather than membrane buttons you can feel it.
*Trigger lock system
* Remapable buttons and profiles with software support you can customise the trigger activation , response curve deadzones etc
*. Average Stick error is 8.4% and the stick resting value is 0.0002 compared to xbox official
*. You can overclock it to get nearly 1ms to 2ms latency
* extra two buttons on the back
* They are giving a braided high quality type C Cable in the box
* stick has more friction than official
CONS
* It’s not wireless it doesn’t have bluetooth support
* the weight is 600g which is double of the official controller u will feel it after few hour of gaming
*Grip- the controller was slippery for me so I need to readjust it ,there’s no problem if you place your hands on your lap or table
Update !!
The stick automatically starts vibrating after 2 weeks but it can be adjusted after rotating the stick for few time but still it shouldn’t have this problem I didn’t used the controller for 1 week but still it drifted automatically.
Good pro controller as I got it at reduced price all the buttons and triggers/bumpers have a quality feel when pressed I’ve only used this for warzone 2 and its great for that. My only complaint would be couldn’t hear team mates in game as the software app or the controller reset one of xbox series x chat options to 0 so took me a while to figure that out. Would recommend this this controller.
This is by far and away the best controller on the market for the money, its buttons and thumsticks are the best I have ever used, the buttons are clicky and ultra response including the two excellent back buttons. The Thumbsticks are ultra accurate and responsive, they do develop stick drift after a few months use but can be mitigated with the superb software, under no circumstances should u click the thumbsticks though it completly destroys them after about a month. The triggers and bumpers are the most problamatic things on this controller, the bumpers feel flimsy but are very responsive, the triggers are pretty poor, if only it had clicky triggers with a more ergonomic design, the entire controller is a bit too big but not bad to hold given its features.
10/10 this is an amazing product. U have to use it plugged in but the lead is really long so no problems. It’s the beat controller ive used on any platform. Amazing build quality and feel. Buttons sound and feel nice. Thumbsticks are spot on and can be replaced. Extra Buttons on the rear for mapping.
Highly recommended.
Another great product from Thrustmaster.
Had a few Thrustmaster products and they’ve all been amazing value for money.
I did a lot of research looking for a decent controller as my older son has given 4 x Xbox controllers left analogue stick drift over the last year. Decided on this one ultimately because of the swappable sticks, but also as I had read some decent reviews of it.
Pros
Butter smooth sticks – cannot belive the difference to xsx controllers.
Mappability – so many things can be remapped.
Rear buttons – great for fps
Cons
Wired connection – put this in cons as a lot of people want wireless, but that said I sit in front of my TV and 3m cable provided is more than enough.
Back buttons- placement could be better
Controller design – menu buttons could have been placed where the profile buttons are. Where they are is quite far and a pain to press in game.
Controller shape – very slightly different to an xbox controller which is taking some getting used to. Not major but noticeable
Overall, fantastic controller with amazing sticks which can be swapped out. 2 year warranty is also great. I and my son are very happy with the controller.
Got stuck drift after 4 month , no problem , I’ll buy new analogue sticks , tats where the process start , actually cheaper to buy a new controller than buy 2 new analogue sticks .Don’t know the maths behind that one right enough , when the controller was working it was great , but then even a 15 controller is great when it’s working , looking back I shouldv priced replacement sticks before buying it , that’s my bad , stick drift I’m getting is pretty bad , even with limited use it’s hapnd quite quickly. Best avoided , if the analogue sticks where beter priced then would be a good buy , until then , avoid
Coming from both an elite and elite v2 for xbox. I can say this controller is far nicer. I didn’t see the need to swap the dpad so I opted for the cheaper model, but that doesn’t mean less quality. It feels lovely, the buttons are excellent and clicky. Sticks feel smooth and responsive. And the bottoms on the back, whilst taking a little getting used to, are easy to push and rarely get hit by accident.
No denying the quality of this Thrustmaster eSwap S Pro Controller but it’s an odd model in their range because it’s only partially customisable, compared to their other models, and yet there isn’t much price difference. The most obvious selling point is the swappable sticks but at the moment all you can do is swap a stick for another stick and the D-pads available for other models won’t work in this one (I think). That means if you hammer sticks like a 7 year-old on a sugar-rush you’ll be able to replace them once you’ve inevitably damaged them and you get a choice of two options, either the ESWAP X S2 NXG (included) or the ESWAP X S5 NXG. The D-pad and buttons are all fixed and so until Thrustmaster release other compatible swappable units there isn’t much you can change about this controller – thankfully it’s so good you probably won’t want to!
The controller feels good even before you’ve plugged it in with real substance and an extremely solid feel to the build, nothing creaks and all of the seams line up with no sharp edges. Of course this is a wired controller so lag just isn’t an issue and you get a good quality long cable with a USB-C connector that sticks out of the back of the controller too far for my eye. This is a complete nit-pick but there’s little else to complain about with this controller – the USB-C connecter has a longish metal shield which doesn’t fully insert into the port on the controller and so it leaves a strip of metal still visible. It’s within the USB-C spec’s but I have other USB-C cables that have slightly shorter shields that fully insert into this controller and look neater. It’s strange that a company as obviously detail-obsessed as Thrustmaster would choose the sticky-out version but as mentioned it’s a total nit-pick and not really important, but still…
In use everything works the way you’d hope and straight from the box it’s a fantastic controller with smooth sensitive analogue triggers and sticks and snappy responsive buttons. The D-pad doesn’t look that revolutionary but the shape allows for better control than any other I’ve tried, especially when trying to get diagonals with two points pressed. Good as it is you can make it even better and configure it to your personal preferences by using the free Thrustmaster app for your PC (or on Xbox) this lets you tweak things like dead-zones, vibrations and response-curves and eliminate drift if you suffer from that (just blame your inner sugar-high seven year-old again). You can also map functions onto the additional buttons underneath the controller although you can only choose from standard controller functions (not other keyboard or system functions) but this seems to be a Xbox/Windows limitation and the Xbox Elite Series Controller is the same I believe. You can create two different config’ profiles and then switch between them on the controller itself without needing to launch the app.
My only other gripe is that there’s a mismatch between the vibration effect in the wings of my controller, one vibrates faster than the other and the adjustments available in the app make no difference, maybe it’ll wear-in and fix itself. That aside I can’t complain about anything else except the price. It’s a lot of money for a controller and if you destroy a lot of controllers with over-enthusiasm then it’s not worth it, you’ll destroy this one like any other (yes, it’s all your fault) but if you appreciate speed, responsiveness and accuracy it’s phenomenally good. I can almost drive like a non-maniac in Cyberpunk 2077 now and it’s worth it just for that!
EDIT apres pres d’1 an : vraiment top, chang de joystick 1 fois. tjrs trs content, ne comprend pas les commentaires ngatifs, si vous voulez une manette sans fil n’achetez pas celle la, c’est indiqu filaire !!!
Jeux principal : Rocket league.
Good hold and weight. Comes with a really long USB cable so you can sit a comfortable distance from the TV and game (and also trip up your spouse).
Extra controllers for enhanced games or for key programming (COD/fighter games). As I mainly play RPGs this is lost on me, but I found the controller aesthetic and easy to hold/use for an extended period of time.
Quite pricey but it’s responsive and seems quite good value at its price point.
This controller is sold by thrustmaster, who have an enviable reputation for gaming devices as you will know if you’ve been gaming for a number of years like I have, always producing new and innovative products. This one is no different offering plenty of extra functions and tweaks that promote this controller above the normal MS models and can comfortably take the mantle of being a ‘professional’ model.
Response times are great and the controls are crisp and precise, they can also be ‘tweaked’ and in some cases even programmed using software. However this isn’t just down to the hardware, it is also down to one ‘feature’ that may be a deal breaker for some. Quite simply the very small latency is down to the fact it is a ‘wired’ controller rather than wireless. You may not believe it would make much difference, but when you are playing a game that requires quick reactions and precision you will soon come to love this controller even though it is wired. I should add the cable is not your normal cheap tethered type, this one actually plugs into the controller and features a high quality braided cable. It is also of a good length being a couple of metres in length.
As mentioned there is a software app that can be downloaded from the MS app store, this works (as does the joypad) on both windows and xbox consoles, the list of xbox consoles compatible with this controller includes the xbox one (which I have) as well as the new generation consoles. This software app allows you to tweak the functioning of the mini-sticks as well as program the additional two buttons on the underside of the controller which can be mapped to simulate other buttons on the controller. All very useful.
The buttons are very responsive, mainly as they don’t have quite as much travel as the standard MS controllers, the ‘cross’ button also has the ability to recognise diagonal presses as well as the standard compass points. However the biggest feature has to be the mini joysticks as these can be removed and ‘hot’ swapped simply by pulling them out (they are held in place magnetically). This allows you to switch them out if one starts to fail – although as they are rated for 2m operations this is unlikely to happen any time soon, or if you want to switch in one of the other types in the range. This may be something you might want to do if you don’t like the standard ones which are slightly smaller and lower than the standard sticks on a normal MS controller. Personally I like these better, but its all down to personal choice. It also opens up the maintainability of the controller so if the sticks were to get damaged or do wear out you can replace them as required rather than throwing the contoller out and having to buy a new one.
Comfort wise I find this controller to be far more comfortable than the standard MS controllers, why I’m not sure as they are pretty similar to look at with a quick glance, but its just again one of those personal things. The other big thing these controllers have going in their favour is that despite being quite expensive they are still cheaper than the official MS ‘pro’ controllers and arguably more configurable. They definitely seem to be at least as robust if not more so, I guess time will tell. But overall I think these are very well made, specified and designed controllers. I’m glad I have one as my gaming seems to have improved since I got one!
My partner is an avid Xbox lover and has been raving about this controller since we got it.
Precision is key and this lives up to ultimate gaming.
Wish it was wireless and wired but it’s wire only but comes complete with an extra long cable.
Thumb sticks are removable with ease to replace worn ones or to customise with different colours.
Recommend
After owning a elite series 2 and a scuf prestige and honestly say this controller is far superior to both. If the elites series 2 had longevity It might of changed my mind. I got 12 month out of the ELITE before it got stick drift it’s now unusable in cod warzone insurgancy sandstorm. The scuf come with SD out the box. The thrustmaster feels so accurate. Having deadzone as low as 3 – 3 on warzone makes a huge difference. Can’t recommend this enough.
This is definitely a high quality gaming controller. Easy to customise and clean as well. The controller itself feels very premium and the buttons as well as the joystick feels premium as well; it makes a nice clicky sound when I play my games. I’m a big Halo fan, so I go all out on controllers. With normal Xbox controller, when I press them, the buttons get stuck overtime.
I’ve used this over 2 weeks now, and I’ve had no problems so far. Used it for Windows gaming as well and the connectivity was smooth. Overall, a great experience. Loved it!
There are a few differences between the Eswap X and this new Eswap S, the biggest is the lack of changeable D-pads. This is something i did like to change out so a little disappointed i’m not able to on this one.
Also there’s two mappable button on the back instead of the four and the side panels and triggers don’t seem to be changeable either.
That been said i still believe this is an excellent pro controller. The joysticks are smooth, comfortable and provide excellent precision during gaming.
The buttons on this are superior to any standard controller, each has very little travel and provides amazing responsiveness.
The triggers are adjustable in terms of travel and can therefore potentially add an advantage over an opponent while the two mappable buttons on the underside can be changed to the users desire.
As with all Thrustmaster controllers, the software is a big part of the adjustability for the users. This software is easy to use and provides all the sensitivity adjustments i need.
Overall i’d say the X model gives me more changeability but this one is still an excellent controller. It’s comfortable, precise and has a good amount of customisation.
The difference using this controller to normal controllers is night and day it is so responsive, also able to change sticks if needed, which in itself is just fantastic, elite controllers 2 of them developed stick drift which made them worthless, this however if stick drift did occur you just change the sticks which in long run would save you a fortune, it is wired but I always used wired anyways so was not a problem for me, eliminates any input lag
This controller is really sleek and smart looking in its design. Like the standard Microsoft controller you have all you need to launch straight in to your games, however this one is somewhat significantly an upgrade.
Firstly, you will not need to worry about battery life as this comes with a very long cable. The benefit of the cable is also a quick response time from the controller to your device.
Each button has a clear and distinctive click as you press them which stops you having the frustrations of trying to work out if you have a stuck button or not.
The triggers are adjustable in theor response and I personally found the resistance offered on the default setting a fantastic upgrade on your bog standard controller. The resistance really allows you to apply different pressures and offers a varied response in your game. Comparing this to a bog standard xbox controller, you find that you have a lot more running speeds (on fifa for example) that just jog ans sprint. This is due to the counter tension applied through the triggers.
The sticks feel really light and sensitive, and they can also be interchanged with others, again giving more options.
I am really impressed by the controller. However its price really only fits one selective target audience. Therefore if you know or are an avid gamer putting in countless hours I recommend this product.
Lots of advantages with this controller it’s wired and best for serious gamers!
Advantages:
– customisable: you can change up pretty much everything on this about this. Can make a big difference!
– really decent quality with a proper braided cable. Wired, in my opinion, is more reliable and responsive (and they seem to be the better controllers when compared). Buttons and build are premium. Bit heavy on the weight (you get used to it!) but that’s the tradeoff with a quality controller I feel.
– software to optimise: definately go and get the latesr firmware from the MS store. It makes it easy to adapt the controller to what you want, i.e sensitivity etc. The big bonus are the back buttons, which you can map to what you want. Means so much more versatility when you play.
There aren’t really any downsides. I think it’s a great controller. It comes into it’s own once customised and rhe only real downside for me is that the cable is a tiny bit too short. Depends on your set up – it’s not a short cable, only really if you are not sat that close to the TV
This controller is super smooth. You’ll wish you’d picked one up ages ago. Programmable if you like that sort of thing but I’ve just left this on standard. The sticks can simply be removed and replaced if they ever go faulty and we all know that every controller the sticks eventually wear down. This way you simply eject them and fit new ones, no need to spend a fortune on a new controller. The controller feels very sturdy, very well made and super comfortable to hold and use. I also love the feel of the buttons and the nice little click they give as they are pushed. Love this controller.
Innovation at its peak creativity. Who knew that the gaming experience can be enhanced through such a design of controller. Let me just take a moment and say, the control feels good in hand. It gives me a certain feeling of confidence that I will play to win. I have a smaller hands but i can certainly say that any one with larger fingers and fatter hands will enjoy the controller even more.
On to the geeky stuff now. Why buy a controller of this nature and pay more?
Well here it is. The controller is upgraded to analogue module. This means, lift and pull the LRUD module and shift it to another place that I feel comfortable playing a game. Equally, lift and pull the rotating module and insert it when playing a different game. Amazing innovation. Applaud applaud applaud
The controller claims to have better physical resistance and honestly, I don’t know what it means, but if it means that when I wants a stop, i get a stops, when I want a lift, i get a left, not too sensitive but not to slow either then absolutely right.
On the back of the controller, there are the thrust mapper can map the buttons. Only a true gamer knows what that would mean. I can’t explain it in words but there are some really good online videos explaining this. The videos online are so good that doing another video of my own will be just waste and probably won’t meet the quality compared to existing ones. Do watch those, the controller shifting of modules itself is inspiring and makes the video worth watching.
Therefore, change your controller based on the game you are playing. Playing a race car game, change the modules to enhance better control on the game. Playing a strategic war game, reshuffle the modules and bam you can enhance your experience of game e.g. halo.
Buy additional modules as required and if required. Now here is a way to make this financially good investment. Normally, if a button gives up, I would think of replacing the entire controller. Not with this one. I will just have to buy a module and that is considerably less price.
Unfortunately, there is not spare included in the box. Needless to say, one of the reason to invent such product is that this is erogonomic. Really good ABXY buttons, feels good and easy to press
Play games for longer without getting pain and strain in your hands.
I bought the X-box version but there is also a PS version.
As my titile states, only a true gamer will appreciate the value. Therefore, go ahead, become a true gamer by taking a step to buy this.
First things first! this is a wired controller so if your dead set on a wireless unit you may have to look else where. That said the cable (USB C) is a nice braided affair and 2.8m long, so it should easily reach the sofa. The main advantage of this unit is the fact that the analog sticks can be swapped out once they are getting glitchy so you can prolong the life of your controller by just buying new analogs instead of a whole unit. They are held in place with a good magnet and simply pull out to be replaced, they are also a lower than usual profile than a standard controller, which I like, but something which is a personal preference. Along with being replaceable they are also rated for 2 million activations so you are not going to need to replace them any time soon.
The other buttons and D pad are rated for 5 million activations and the D pad is a lovely affair with an activation between the four points to help with your combos on fighters. clicks are crisp and the activation point is really low so you don’t need much travel to get click in.
Along with the standard buttons you also have some trigger buttons on the underneath of the controller which can be locked on or off with some sliders above them. These can be mapped to any button on Xbox or PC but come as standard as either L/R shoulder buttons or A/B
In the Thrustmaster App you can also adjust the dead zones and sensitivity of the analog sticks to get your preferences just right.
All in all this is a pretty serious bit of kit and a massive upgrade on my old generic controller! The only downside can think of is that its not wireless but apart from that im very happy with it, and I will not get stressed when I see the low battery light half way through a battle!
This comes in an overly fancy box as if to highlight its quality – which it does exude. The right buttons are super responsive and have a lovely mechanical response when depressed. The left and right joysticks are fully removeable and held in by magnets making them easy to replace (although not sure of how much to do so).
The LB and RB buttons can be locked using switches on the back and there are additional buttons on the rear which can mirror some of the front buttons. The controller seems to be semi programmable with different profiles/modes but is possibly more configurable after downloading the app which we haven’t yet done.
This is the USB version which we hooked up to my son’s XBOX ONE S Digital and was instantly recognised. It just feels good quality to me but he loaded up Fortnite and was clicking buttons faster than my eyes could keep up with (Creative mode I think?!?) – anyway, he was super impressed by the responsiveness (no lag) and then we played FIFA where I was humiliated by a crushing defeat.
Overall, a very expensive and very well made controller. Shame it wasn’t wireless but suspect that contributes to the lag. I also use a very cheap wired controller so have purchased a USB splitter to enable two wired devices to be connected to the one USB port at the front.
Thrustmaster ESWAP S PRO CONTROLLER
1 x ESWAP S PRO CONTROLLER game pad
2 x swappable mini stick modules
1 x power cable
Ive used the Thrustmaster Eswap X PRO controller for a while and while this is expensive for some Thrustmaster with there Eswap S you can save money while still staying competitive.
so is the newest Eswap controller added to the family worth it?
first off there is a trade off the Eswap S still has the interchangeable joysticks the same as the X Pro however without the D-Pad, side panels and triggers from what Ive noticed.
the buttons on the back are also different with the Eswap S dropping the 4 mappable buttons configuration and replacing them with just two buttons.
The joysticks that come with the Eswap S are the S2 NXG these are a good joystick which are smooth and have great precision if your playing FPS games.
if the sticks are a little to small as they sit slightly lower down then you can upgrade these to the S5 NXG these are practically the same however the joysticks are slightly more raised so it depends on your gaming style which you prefer.
the D-pad even though on the Eswap S is not removable i found with the 4 tact switches to be excellent with its responsiveness and if your playing games like street fighter these make it very easy to link up combos.
the buttons on the Eswap S are completely different compared to the original Xbox controllers, these are way faster the clicks are precise and the response fast when activated. these are literally ultra responsive unlike the original Xbox controller which has a little travel in order to engage the button these cut that travel down massively to a minimum.
the triggers can be used like the original Xbox controller however with the flick of a switch on the back you can adjust the travel of the triggers giving you the edge against your opponents so you don’t need to press the triggers down as far while also adjusting the sensitivity.
the 2 buttons on the back can be configured to suit your needs these can be made to the controller directly, so you can map certain actions to these button for better placement.
and finally with the Thrustmaster software ThrustmapperX here is where you can fine tune sensitivity of the joysticks and help tweak or eliminate at best the dead zone. or preferably make adjustments to the amount of vibrations you receive.
overall is this worth getting? yes over the original controllers at first you might not see a difference however, once you do go back to the original controllers you will notice a major difference it does take time getting use to the difference sensitivity and responsiveness.
is it worth getting over the Eswap X Pro? well if money not an issue for you then the extra customisable features are great and if you break or want an extra joysticks and D-Pad then i will stick with the X Pro personally
With the X Pro you have 4 mappable buttons instead of 2 on the S however if you dont need the 4 mappable buttons and your not worried about the placement of the D-Pad then you could save yourself around 40 and go for the S which personally does have a slight better controller design.
its a great alternative to the Xbox Elite which i also have aswell which buying the Eswap S you get all the benefits of the Elite controller at a saving of around about 40 give or take.
these controllers are wired and not wireless these are fairly durable Ive drop my Eswap X a few times at no point has it broken or let me down its good quality from Thrustmaste
