DYNAMIC FORCE FEEDBACK
3 types of Force Feedback (presets included), compatible with all games and modifiable on the fly directly on the wheel.
FFB 1
Force Feedback 100% proportional to the force requested by the game
FFB 2
Enhanced Force Feedback, for better skid control
FFB 3
Boosted Force Feedback, allowing users to clearly feel all racing effects from the track (curbs, skidding off-track, etc.).
25 ACTION BUTTONS
Including 2 dual-position encoders (+/-) located on the ends of the wheel’s central spokes, T248 features nearly twice as many action buttons as previous Thrustmaster racing wheels (TMX series).

For the price, it’s an amazing bit of kit. The Force FeedBack works wonders, and the pedals feel great.
I would totally recommend it for a starter, specially with the 70 shifter coming up later this month.
I bought one of these a few weeks ago to replace my aging T150 whose paddle shifters are starting to fail internally.
It’s decent, obviously not on the same level as your Fanatecs and the like, but I’m pleased with it. Feels a bit smoother than the T150 did, but fundamentally similar. The extra buttons and encoders are welcome.
You can definitely tell where it’s been built down to a cost. It’s quite lightweight (not much of an issue because you’ll obviously be attaching it to something stationary) and feels a bit plasticky, but the bits where you actually hold it are padded with a kind of leatherette stuff and feel fine in use.
LCD screen is probably a bit of a gimmick, not much use in Gran Turismo 7 as it just shows stuff that’s already on the HUD. You can use the LCD to see the motor temperature (and this time there’s an onboard fan to keep it cool), adjust the FFB strength and degrees of rotation etc, as well as switching it between PS4/PS5/PC modes, so it’s not completely without purpose.
Comes with the new T3PM pedals. They feel good although I haven’t really used them enough to say whether they’re better or worse than the T3PA pedals I had before. The brake feel is a bit different because it’s a different physical design – doesn’t have the conical rubber stopper behind it but just a couple of swappable springs and deformable rubber washers. I’ve set it to the strongest action (supposedly equivalent to 200kg of braking force although I don’t know if I actually believe that).
One big negative when you first use it is the paddle shifters. They’re of a different design than the T150, which is presumably on purpose because as mentioned, the older design was prone to internal failures. They feel and work fine but the problem is they are INCREDIBLY loud and clacky. People online have come up with various ways to quiet them down. I’ve gone with a simple hair elastic looped around each one, other people have used adhesive-backed foam strips or even wadded paper. It’s amazing to me that it ever made it out of the prototype stage as it is – it really is unacceptably loud – but at least it’s very simple to solve it without affecting the operation of the shifters.
If you use a Playseat Challenge, there’s a couple of M8 mounting holes that line up perfectly with pre-drilled holes on the Playseat wheel plate. So you don’t have to use the included clamp system (although that does work mostly well enough by itself).
The pedal base also has mounting holes. Again if you have a Playseat Challenge, the hole spacing is perfect to attach to the pedal rails using four simple P-clips and M8 bolts. You’ll have to offset them by an inch or two to one side but this makes no difference in practical use. The clips and M8 bolts/washers are not included but are inexpensive and easily available on Amazon or at any hardware store.
Overall I’d recommend, especially if you can catch it when it’s on offer. Just don’t be put off by the clacky shifters as there are reversible/non-destructive solutions to make them acceptably quiet.
This is my second steering wheel, before i had logitech g923 and this one from thrusmaster is mutch more better. Strong enought for this cash
It’s decent enough for the price (got it for 199) it’s a bit plasticky overall and not the smoothest to turn, nor the quietest, but the pedal has a nice feel to it. The set up is ok simple.
My son was delighted to receive this bundle. Steering wheel is high quality and the metal pedals also excellent quality. The diameter of the wheel is about two thirds compared to life size.
Straightforward to set up, he was easily able to do this himself, and had it configured in Forza and Assetto Corsa in no time. Forceback effects took a little while to be tweaked to his liking, but this can all be adjusted through the Thrustmaster app and in the games.
A few months on and everything is still working well with no issues.
Very nice quality and only thing concerned is changing gears could make a very little louder metal sound because the quality is too good
Very Happy, brings a level of realism to driving sims you wouldn’t believe possible for the price. Easy set up on windows 10, download the drivers from Thrustmaster support and it installs the settings dashboard for the T248 and pedals, then a click to update the firmware and all done. Got it fixed to a ‘Anman Foldable G920 Racing Steering Wheel stand’ and it fits a treet.
Easy to set up in terms of getting it out and clamping it to your table
Pedals are great
Not the clearest instructions when it comes to setting up force feedback and the LED scree
I bought this after the shifter on my cheap wheel broke, this not only surpasses my previous wheel but for the price it costs it contends with some of the more expensive wheels ive used. The one thing that kept me from buying it was all the reviews talking about how loud the shifters were but im so glad I ignored them reviews as its really not a big issue and Id rather have quality over how quiet it can be. 5 stars!!!
My first ever sim racing wheel, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was easy to set up and works nicely so far. I was surprised by the amount of FF from it – feels very different from my real car! Build quality doesn’t seem that solid, but only time will tell how long it lasts. Nice leather on the wheel itself. Chose this over the Logitech G923 and TM 300RS GT due to price.
Love the look and feel of this wheel and has a very good turning circle and the panel shifts feel solid overall happy work the purchase.
Really nice wheel on PS4,ps5. On pc like other wheels is the setup for games is a bit frustrating, that’s taking nothing from this wheel though. Force feedback the feel and smoothness is a thumbs up. The price I paid is well worth it and I would recommend this wheel to any gamer who likes racing . The pedals are also second to none a definite plus also.
This set up is ideal for someone wanting a easy plug and play set up. Just a shade below a proper sim racing rig. I have always used thrustmaster products with my playstations and can highly recommend them. I got this after having a t150 and it’s brilliant. Pedals are good quality, wheel is good fun to use. Build quality is good. Should do the job for a casual gamer (if you have to store it away after use) or someone just starting out. Would not get if you are looking for a serious set up for their rig.
Really nice feeling wheel and pedals, adjustable force feedback and changeable brake spring make it versatile for all racing games. Has a great amount of programmable buttons too which a lot of wheels lack. I like the hybrid system has to ground feel but being able to change the force feedback on the fly with 3 different on board settings adjustable from the wheel make a big difference if you need to change the response of the wheel. Bear in mind most racing games will have in game settings for force feedback aswel that you will need to play around with to get the best feel for the games vehicles.
As a sim racing enthusiast I have used a lot of wheels. I can say with confidence the T248 is definitely the best wheel in it’s class. It uses a belt and gear system offering strong force feedback and smoother action than other wheels that just use gears alone. The pedals included are pure quality. Offering precise movement and the brake pedal can be adjusted to offer a stiffer response when pressed down. Overall a great package
