This is brilliant quick and easy bottles are sterilzed in 4 mins definitely worth the money
Liked that easy to use and fit perfectly in microwave. Easy to clean & store when not in use. Used at weekends when grandchild staying over. Didn’t like that clip on either side was very tight and awkward to open up. But that could be due to my older fingers not being quite so flexible.
This is a great size as fits a 17inch microwave which is one of the smallest sizes- can hold quite a bit- 4 bottles and accessories. I use tomme tippee bottles but also dr. Brown and the smaller ones fit, however the taller one I just lay in side. Great if you are on a budget or have no space on your kitchen counters for those huge automatic sterilisers. (You can just store this in microwave when not in use) Has been a great buy so far- not used for travel yet but I can’t see it being bad as you can hold lots and is quite compact.
Great, use several times a day and doesn’t let me dow
Imagine having to boil everything? This makes it much faster and easier and save electric. Pop everything in and turn the microwave on. Price is great too compare to the ones that plugs in. Works the same just with microwave instead.
Easy to clean easy to use not to big great produc
Perfect, had for 9 months now & still in great working condition. Perfect for the price & if you have very little kitchen side space.
We bought this steriliser after reading reviews. Being Tommee Tippee we knew we were buying a reputable brand.
This product is excellent! We have been using it continuously for almost 5 months and it continues to work as it should from day one. I know it’s basic it’s in its operation, but we have encountered no issues with using it or cleaning it.
Easy to use, fill it, pour water in and put in microwave for 4 minutes. It’s that simple!
The bottles and teats come out highly sterilised and the way it is designed allows for 5 bottles and teats and dummies to be put inside without affecting its sterilisation capabilities.
Would highly recommend this product as it just works and its so easy to use and clean.
If you are bottle feeding then this is a pretty convenient thing to have about the house. It fits comfortably into a standard microwave oven (Its a bit snug but gets in there) The compartments are suitable for pretty much any type of bottles (You will soon discover this so dont be taken in by the “buy only our product” line) It comes with some plastic tongs for picking up things and a spare dummy. Its very easy to use only a bit of water and a few minutes in the microwave (Obviously you need to let it cool) All the instructions are in the box.
Its lightweight but dont expect it to be too convenient to travel with because of its size, I would get the small bags which you can get in a pack that can last weeks. Its easy to clean and put away and there is really nothing to complain about this, its good for the price which does come down so you just have to bag it when it does.
Fab set for first time parents! Had everything we needed and good quality.
Decided to go for a microwaveable steam steriliser this time round as opposed to the electric ones as our kitchen is only small and every worktop space counts!
This one fitted in our microwave perfectly and is very easy to use. I use it not just for bottles but also my pump, pacifiers and milk catchers too.
It only takes 8 minutes to sterilise everything inside and it will remain sterilised as long as the lid is on.
The only negative thing I can think of is that it creates a lot of condensation inside the microwave itself which is a bit annoying having to wipe up every time.
We are actually only using the bottles for expressed breast milk, so perhaps don’t need to be quite so careful as those using them for formula, but in any case, NHS guidelines say you can store made-up formula in the fridge for up to 24 hours, so 4 bottles shouldn’t be too many.
As I said, it’s relatively easy to use, and effective for the price. I just have a couple of minor niggles on the design.
1. It’s a little bit awkward to get the teats to stay on while putting the lid on – you can see in the picture that they’re slightly overlapping the base of the steriliser, and it’s hard to avoid this. I regularly knock them off when putting the lid on.
2. It’s kind of awkward to get the lid itself off. It pretty much requires you to use both hands (not ideal when you’re trying to do it while looking after a baby), and even then I’ve sometimes found it a bit of a struggle.
Overall a solid product that does the job, and would definitely recommend it for the price, but there are a couple of minor design improvements that would be needed to bump it up to five stars.
Bought this as it seems like the quickest, easiest option for sterilising. I mostly breastfeed but express for a bottle every now and then so it’s fine for my purposes but might be a bit small for a formula fed baby. It takes 8 minutes in my microwave.
I use it to sterilise a bottle and my breastmilk storage bottles. I sometimes find it difficult to unclip the lid but it’s not the end of the world. I seem to only be able to do it with my right hand so I unclip one side then turn it around to do the other. I also have to remember to wipe my microwave down after because it leaves a bit of water inside which goes a bit limescaley if you have hard water.
Kind of wish I’d bought a electric steam steriliser now because my manual breast pump and elvie curve can’t go in the microwave (don’t know if it’s something to do with the silicone) so I have to use boiled water for those. Although I couldn’t be bothered having it out on the bench all the time or finding a place to store it.
One thing to note: you can sterilise 4 bottles and they remain sterile for 24 hours, so long as you don’t open the steriliser. As soon as you open it you introduce bacteria so this is not an efficient method if you are making up just one bottle at a time using powder formula (which if you follow NHS guidance you are no longer allowed to make up powder formula feeds in advance… so sterilising 4 bottles makes no sense for powder formula).
However, my midwife confirmed that you CAN premake ready made formula and put them in the fridge, so if you plan to use ready made formula and make up 4 bottles in advance to use in the next 24 hours then you can.
I’m putting this as part of my review because it is not always the right thing to do to sterilise 4 bottles at once.
Also in our microwave it takes 8 minutes to sterilise and 5 to cool down. 13 minutes of waiting with a screaming baby is very annoying!
We switched to MAM self sterilising bottles which are done individually in the microwave in 3 minutes (with a 5 minute cool down). A total of 8 minutes… much better!
So all in all a good steriliser but not always the best method.
