Coincidentally I got this to review as I decided to fit steel gates to my drive so happy face for me.
Simple to fit if you have some DIY skills and an electrical supply near by you get an auto opening gate fairly quickly for not much money if you buy a set yourself.
Whilst the advertising suggests a ‘good ole boy’ story of a bloke who came home to find he was struggling to open his gate the truth is that this is a Chinese company based in Hangzhou. No problem there because it works and the price is keen for a well made item.

Purchased the gate opener for my metal gates. Delivered really well packaged and when you feel the weight of the arms you know it’s a quality product. Really easy to install. I would change one thing in the instructions and put the stall force as the first thing to set up before the gate stop limit otherwise it can cause them to open and close strange. When I did it this way round it took 5mins to set them up perfectly. Don’t waste your time looking at other manufacturers as these are brilliant. Very impressed with the customer support who are very fast at answering any questions or problems that need sorting out. Very happy with my gates now
Good quality product. Very easy to install following instructions. Lots of adjustments on the strength of the closers. Instructions are good and clear.
Had a problem with a 3rd party sensor and topens customer support helped with my query, replied within 24hrs every time.

It’s really strong, and is a complete luxury. It was tricky to set up my electrician wasn’t much help but if you read the manual start to finish BEFORE installing (as you’re supposed to) it does makes sense and does work! Really pleased and would defo recommend
100% great products i have tried many but nothing compares to topens products their aftersales and tech help is second to none i am very impressed the build quality and design are brilliant every component in their products are best quality and function the electric gate openers are the best system that i have ever fitted.
When I ordered l couldn’t fit to my gate. The arm stucked in base position. But customer service is super and they solved that issue
It was clear on opening the box that this was a quality product. The various brackets and fixings were well made with thick steel, so no risk of bending. The fitting was simple. My only problem was that the motors and fitings were actually stronger than my wooden gates so it pushed them off their hinges! After re-hanging the gates and reinforcing the hinges, one of the motors wouldn’t work. However after an email to TOPENS support they immediately got back and explained how to reset it – excellent product support.
I bought the wireless keypad, wired button and electric lock – all were very easy to fit.
I have also added a 3rd party WiFi garage door opener, so I can now operate via siri/google.
Gate opener was really easy to install and works perfectly with our gates. I was slightly concerned because it seemed quite inexpensive for what it was but was pleasantly surprised.
I contacted support for some help and they were really responsive and helpful.

Item arrived quickly well packaged with no missing parts. Further assistance was required due our special circumstances from customer services/tech support at TOPENS upon request for assistance made a reply with a very detailed diagram showing how to install. Very easy to install and a great addition to any driveway. Would highly recommend.
Excellent product, superb customer support. Make sure you pay attention to the measurements of gate to post and hinge to post. Also note that you MUST fit the gate block. I stupidly didn’t at first . But all was great in the end. Special thanks to Chloe at customer support.
My old gate openers were failing. Slow and grinding.
I researched rhe products available before settling on these for two reasons:
1 – the modular nature means I could buy just what I needed with a view to adding more later
2 – the reviews I found online about Topens gave me a sense of security that it was the right choice. And this came to be vert true.
When the package arrived and I opened the instructions I had a bit of an issue with the position of the gate hinges in relation to the gate posts – mine are on the inside edge in line with the inside edge of the posts but these openers require a certain distance to work properly.
I emailed topens support and got some valuable tips and advice but the solution was simply to mount the brackets on wooden blocks that offset them enough.
However after a few opening and closing cycles the right hand opener’s end cap popped off and grease was coming out, nit mention it made it loud and unbalanced.
I emailed photos to their support again and with no quibbles they have arranged to send a replacement. More importantly, without having to send it back first (or indeed, at all!) which was a massive relief as otherwise it works and removing it would have left one gate leaf inoperable. Not good on a driveway gate.
The support operator that dealt with me was Zack – and he is truly helpful and Topens should be proud of both their support in general but specially Zack’s.
I sm truly impressed by the quality of the product AND the support.
I purchased a gate opener from this company I fitted it to my existing gates I found It very simple to fit and found it very simple to program and everything seems well made,unfortunately there was a problem with one of the actuators I contacted Topens help line and they diagnosed the problem and sent me replacement parts the next day free of charge.I fitted the parts and now the gates are working perfectly.If your looking for new gate openers I would highly recommend these ones from Topens.l also think they are very good value for money and the build quality is second to none.
Really nice dual swing gate opener. It arrived quick and well packed. Mind your back when trying to lift this because it is a bit heavy so be mindful of that. So…let me tell how a couple of things that i’ve found interesting with this swig gate opener:

Overall…..i am very impressed about the versatility of this gate. It is top quality and very easy to install and operate. In the end if you think about it you’d never have get out of the car in bad weathers, just simply press the remote, then the gate will open and close automatically….no fuss…no headache….as simple as that. This gate opener is worth very single penny…and i am gladly and wholeheartedly recommending it to literally anyone. Great amazing quality for a fair price….deserves every single penny.
Firstly, straight out of the box, everything seems durable and well made. You get pretty much everything you need to set the gate opener up right away.
I’ve not installed it on the most heavy or largest of gates, but it’s been up to the task so far, although installation does take a bit of know how. Although only using it on a smallish wooden gate, I don’t doubt it’s capability in being installed on something a bit larger and heavier.
I was also surprised by how quite it is. I was expecting it to make a fair bit of noise while in operation, but it doesn’t make too much noise at all.
It comes with two remotes for controlling the opener, which are responsive and easy to use and have a good range of up to 20 meters.
I love the fact it can be powered by solar, which is great if you have a gate that’s out of range of any mains power supply.
All in all, it does the job as expected and at 174, which was the cost at time of writing, I feel it’s about right for the price.

Frankly for starters, if company goes through the effort to pack their product as well as this one is packaged, they care about what they’re selling. The unit comes with two multi-function remotes. There is 24V 40W motors in here that thankfully have lower power consumption than conventional ones and seem to be a lot safer
Since my gate will be a quarter mile or so from the mains, it’s preferable to be able to run off a battery with a solar charger. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have the solar regulator onboard, but given that solar chargers are readily available these days that don’t cost much more than a bare solar panel, that’s not a huge detractor.
Installation was pretty straight forward. I think the instructions could have been a little more detailed for setting the limits, but I was able to figure it out with some help. The instructions are more than enough to get the job done but it won’t be that easy for everyone. It’s quite quiet during operation, you can’t hear much of anything. I figured you would hear it operating but you can’t.
All in all a little pricey but does the job as intended. Its premium and holding up well in the unpredictable British weather conditions.

This gate opener set is really well made with all the parts being really heavy duty and strong.
I was really impressed with the thickness of all the brackets and fasteners to the gate as the metal was not only thick, but all perfectly engineered to support lots of weight. The two motorized gate actuators are really heavy duty and super strong and powerful. for the fairly light gate I was using them on they are a bit over kill and fairly slow, but I love the power they have and even when opening it against the strong winds the other day they had no problems.
You run the decent wire length to the power box which is nicely waterproof and easy to connect up plus you get a huge extension wire so you can extend both sides or just the side furthest from the control box like I did and this meant I could run it exactly were I want. If you do have to go underground like across the driveway I think you may want to swap this out for some armoured cabled to protect it.
Then you do need to run your own cable from a power source to the control box. So the cabling takes some figuring out for your needs and may incur a bit of extra cost.
I do love the flexibility of being able to connect it to solar etc if you want too and add other accessories on to it as well. This really is scalable from a small gate opening to a full on gated security system.
The remotes work well from both the house and the car but as most families have 2 cars it would be nice to have a third, so you have one in each car and one in the house.
Overall, for 179.00 It’s a good kit with lots of nice features and quality parts used but I think it need a few more bits included like armoured cable or extra remote etc for that price or a price drop to make it good value for money.
