Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Users100% worth the price, quality of the sound produced is amazing from the tv alone, gives off a great atmosphere. Screen quality is mind blowing, genuinely amazed of the things it can do and the quality it produces for the price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTo get apple airplay to work you must first set the TV up. Then FORCE a software download. On TV select settings ‘Device & software’ then ‘About’ then ‘Check for updates’.
Once you have done this if you go to settings screen on TV select ‘Display & Audio’ you can now select ‘Apple Airplay and Homekit’ , follow the onscreen prompts on TV and select screen mirroring on your iPhone.
Good luck, the manual is pointless.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA real improvement over our 5-year-old TV, picture quality is good.
Did take a while to get it connected to Sky Wifi, but once connected has been okay.
The only downside has been the time it takes to start up from cold.

It’s hard to show the actual sharpness of the image watching on this tv! For the price, at 50″ I am SO pleased with the image quality, colours, sharpness etc. having an Amazon fire tv is perfect for jumping between all your fave streaming subscriptions and I can’t recommend this tv enough for its ease of use and screen quality. Even the sound is full, clear and even I love it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute bargain for the quality!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe one thing I dislike about this tv is that it’s incorporated with Amazon fire so if you want to download apps with it you have to go through the one-click witch is always infuriating

Brought with discount and apart from smudge on top of screen (seen at sides), watching 4K is great. Must be great for gaming too, but not tried.

For that price, I have to say it is a lovely TV with clear pictures and prompt response using the remote controller.

    Good value for money!

Will test Alexa settings next week.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA fantastic package of 4K UHD, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Fire TV at a great price. Easy to set up, connect to home network, and launch favourite apps. Downloaded a full user manual to see what’s what and try a few tweaks but my THX tv tuning app confirmed that the factory settings for brightness, contrast, colour and tint are spot on. The tv drives our soundbase really well, the sound is much more detailed and involving than before. Movies made in HDR look and sound stunning. Glastonbury streamed live in UHD was spectacular. Day to day broadcasting and streaming in HD are great. The TV’s remote handles the sound base and Blu-ray player very neatly.
Coming from a low base, this is a really big upgrade and super value.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe picture is good, the sound is not as good as I was expecting a the TV has Dolby Atmos and a built in Sub. The picture and sound adjustments are not as variable as my old TV. The most annoying thing is the on/off illumination on the bottom right of the TV which during the evenings distracts from the picture, have stuck a piece of gaffer tape over it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great all round TV for the price.

Bought as cheap pc monitor and got so much more

2 days of use and really blown away by picture quality. Alexa can be used to access all functions including switching inputs and picture adjustment. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersThe first thing I will state that I was very disappointed with and a little feeling of being mislead is the fact that this TV does not have hdmi 2.1 ports even though the title and specs says it does , the main reason I purchased this TV was because of this because I wanted to use my Xbox series s with it and run at 4k 120hz and have HDR capabilities and I even made sure I ordered a 2.1 capable hdmi cable to come with it but when it arrived I unfortunately found out it only has hdmi 2.0 ports so please be aware of this before buying ( note you can still play games at 4k 60hz but you won’t be able to run 4k 120hz with this TV )

However away from that fact , the screen is great and the resolution is fantastic when you can achieve the 4k but even when you can’t things are still nice and clear and definitely an upgrade from my 1080p TV , the speakers aswell sound very nice and clear and music does sound good and having the option of Dolby or surround is nice and is noticeable,

Having Alexa built in as well was a good add on for me as I have an echo as well so can control the TV with it etc and have my Amazon accounts linked to it including Amazon music unlimited

Good overall tv and would recommend but they need to stop misleading people about the hdmi 2.1

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe TV is great, picture quality and sound, easy to set up and use. The only downside to it is that it doesn’t have any sort of ports other than usb and hdmi, so if like me you have any consoles that need either scart or AV input etc you can’t connect them. I know most things are wireless, Bluetooth, HDMI etc these days but to not compensate for older consoles isn’t good or at least provide adapters. But other than that I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t quality for the money I paid and would recommend it, just keep in mind about the connections.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersWow…reading the reviews, some negative points some really good, but I think those with the negative comments are being far too picky and i think, for the price it is brilliant.
For those that are moaning about this and that, you want perfection, go spend the money.
Great picture, fantastic sound, fabulous as a TV, or for Gaming and using as a Monitor.
4k films are brilliant and really stand out, as do games (I am using a PC Tower Unit, with plenty of poke).
Those with the negative comments paid 349, I only paid 229, so you can imagine my delight.
Menus easy to navigate and there is plenty to keep you in front of this TV for the rest of your life and you will not want to leave it lol
I have the same size (43″), although a different make, in my bedroom, I shall be selling that and putting the money towards getting me another one of these.
Purchase this and you will not be disappointed

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersAfter purchasing a RCA and had problems with it twice in two months I returned it and got a Toshiba. To be fair I only realised ot is a firetv too when it arrived. But was happy anyways. The sound is amazing, the picture however tricky. It would be five star if I would be able to control black light and brighness settings without doing them everytime I turn it on and or even while watching live tv do it again and again. I I even tried to trun off the Dolby Vision but it keeps turn itself back on…. Which give a level of brightness I am not necessarily comfortable with on the long shot. When I go to picture settings I only can set the live tv’s settings for a while or the video but no app’s such as YouTube or Netflix is affected by it…sadly. As I had it for a couple of days only we will see how it goes… I might and up retuning it and by a more simple version of Toshiba. Other then this issue it is absolutely a great bargain for the price!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI’m not really complaining at the price, and I sit in the same place to watch TV so doesn’t affect me much, but you only have to move a couple of metres to either side and the picture washes out and loses definition – a major negative if several people are watching from different places in the room. I also can’t make Alexa work, but that may be me being stupid. Seen a few comments about remote, don’t really understand them unless you’ve got fingers like the incredible hulk. Small, neat, does what it says on the tin. All in all I think a 55” Smart, HD TV for 329 is decent and I’m happy. Set up is also easy – though be patient with update and download, it does them twice which it doesn’t say in manual. Mostly good, let’s see how long it lasts – I’ve got an LG upstairs that’s 18 years old and perfect, but this is to replace a Sharp that died after 6.

Golden Review Award: 49 From Our UsersUPDATED REVIEW: I had some issues with the first unit that Amazon sent me, but after getting a replacement I can finally give a final score. This TV offers a decent panel, with pretty bright colours and a bunch of nice features also present in most TVs at this price point, but I would say that the sound, which isn’t great (something that I expected) is probably a bit better than their rivals. However, most of you would probably rather use a decent soundbar with eARC technology.

One thing that I liked is the fact that Fire TV works much better and in a snappier way than Android TV at this price point, so browsing the menus and looking for apps or content is much nicer from my point of view. The drawback is that Fire TV is much more limited, so there are less apps, less flexibility and it won’t allow you to rename your inputs with whatever name you want (you will have to select from a very limited list that it doesn’t contain something as simple as “Computer”) Another think that I didn’t like is that if you select UK as your location it will just offer you a few language in the TV OS. My mother language is Spanish so I found that a bit annoying that Canadian French was an option over a European language that can be understood by almost a billion people in the world. Seriously Amazon?

If you are going to use this TV with a PC, it might require a bit of tinkering in order to remove all the pre-processing stuff that is applied to image by default. Once you have done that you should be getting a clear enough image with almost no artifacting and you can save the configuration for each input. It’s still not an ideal panel to connect a PC though, a big monitor with high refresh rate, or a high-end gaming TV will be much more suitable options. But if you are ok with that, it will definitely do the trick.

The VESA mounting system chosen is a bit strange, to be honest. 100×100 for a 43″ TV is going to put quite a lot of stress into the plastic carcass. I have mounted it on the wall and for the moment it looks good, but I wouldn’t try to tilt it down in case the plastic casing isn’t strong enough. It’s preferable to install the wall mount a bit lower. Also, be careful with the bottom left screw hole, it seems to be less deep than the rest. I needed to use a shorter screw in order to be able to mount it.

In conclusion, this TV is a good option if your are on a tight budget that pair up nicely with an Xbox Series S or a budget PC. It will also work very well as a cheap video streaming solution. But with some noticeable compromises. It won’t be ideal for those who look for top-notch features.

OLD REVIEW: The TV was faulty and it’s going back to Amazon. I guess that I just was unlucky, so I ordered a replacement. I’ll be updating this review when I get a unit that works as it should, but it has to be one star for the time being.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very decent TV for a low price

Golden Review Award: 75 From Our UsersAbsolutely love this tv with a smooth Alexa voice control. Stylish, sleek, ultra thin with a great sound and a beautiful clear picture. Already loaded with Prime & Netflix and lots of free apps, I am ‘hooked’ on this beautiful tv.
This was a great deal at 269 or an even better deal to buy the bundle; same tv + video ring doorbell for the SAME price of 269. Who wouldn’t love a deal like that? Sadly my tv arrived without the ring doorbell and when I spoke to customer services (normally a positive experience) the lady told me “I had accidentally unchecked the bundle and selected just the tv” hence no ring doorbell. Errr what?
The second lady I spoke to told me “at the time I ordered the bundle the promotion was finished” .. I checked and it was still ongoing. So no ring doorbell. Huh? Are you saying I saw a great bundle deal, but when I ordered it, the promotion ‘suddenly’ became unavailable and then the next day became available again???
Becoming a tad irate I sent an email to customer services attaching a screenshot of the bundle promotion showing it still available. Then I spoke to a third lady.. “that’s not very good service from us” she said. “Don’t worry, be patient and I will send you a ring doorbell .. you will receive it by the 21st October. Ahh relief, somebody is taking my complaint seriously!
Needless to say the 21st came and went .. and no ring doorbell. At that point I confess, I gave up.
So, here we are reviewing my fabulous new tv..
However, for the outrageous customer service, Amazon .. I’m giving you a 4 star rating (it would have been a 5 star because I absolutely love the tv). But instead of the joy of playing with my video ring doorbell (I’ve secretly coveted one since they first came out) instead at the age of 65 I’m moving in two weeks, sadly alone, into a new flat. The ring doorbell would have provided extra security for me, but being an OAP, I can’t afford to buy the video ring doorbell.. I’m still paying for the tv.
I have since found out that when you add the bundle to your basket, it’s fine until you go to pay for it (in this case through Klarna) because it automatically selects the single item and you have to re select the bundle. Sadly, didn’t notice (being new to Klarna and all.
So instead of dreaming of a white Christmas, I’m dreaming of a video ring doorbell. Perhaps .. just perhaps .. when Amazon review my review they will relent .. and send me the video ring doorbell I ordered. Now that would be the excellent customer service I know they usually provide .. and they’d be keeping an old lady safe in her new home!

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our UsersToshiba UF3D 43 Inch Smart Fire TV 109.2 cm (4K Ultra HD, HDR10, Freeview Play, Prime Video, Netflix, Alexa voice control, HDMI 2.1, Bluetooth, Airplay).

This arrived promptly the next upon ordering in perfect condition.

My husband and I unpackaged it carefully and took it upstairs as we decided to put it in the bedroom and remove our old TV, the old TV was a 50″ but just a basic TV with built in free view only and it had shadowing on the screen.

This Toshiba TV has gone on the wall, on the same wall mount and in the same place the old one was…… It didn’t take long to do this.

Once switched on we got it connected to our WiFi, it connected with no issues on the first attempt.
We then did an auto search for channels, signed into amazon ect.

This TV is fantastic but the settings are not very good especially if you want to change the sound as you can not hear what you are setting it too as it takes you from the TV to the settings so if the sound settings arnt right you have to keep going back to settings to get it to your liking…. So I think there should be a ghost screen so you don’t have to keep going back as its quite annoying.

The remote control is like an amazon firestick control, its quite small but works as it should….. The remote works the same as the amazon firestick remote.

This TV is exactly as the description describes and works perfectly, just the minor settings issue but I guess I will get used to that.

It’s so good that I can lay in bed and watch anything I like which could be on normal TV, amazon, you tube and so much more.
    It works fast too.

I can reccomend and the price is actually reasonable considering all the things that are built into it.

    Very happy with this!

The TV is 4k with hdr content, it has a 43″ screen, the screen is very clear and even more clear on the HD channels.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast smart TV but settings are not easy!
