I still don’t quite understand how bit works, very high tech to me. My partner figured it out. Unfortunately we only use it as a lamp as I am not good at using its other functions.
There are a lot of things to like about this:
-it’s controlled via an app so you can adjust it without going back into baby’s room and risking waking them
-it displays the temperature so you can dress baby accordingly for bed
-it is a useful nightlight, story teller, music player all in one.
I really like controlling it via app, and that I don’t have to buy a separate thermometer, night light and speaker, with 3 separate plugs! However I do have other light up song singing night time toys that may not be as expert as this but do the job for less. So it depends what you’re looking for.
If you are looking for something that is more than just a night light, this might be for you
If you are looking for just a night light, think twice, this is expensive for just that purpose!
There’s lots of extra features in this night light that it borders on being a smart speaker which happens to have a light feature
There’s lot of stories, songs, lullabies, and natural sounds to help get your baby/toddler to sleep
It has a ceiling projector so you can beam shapes onto the ceiling to help your baby/toddler sleep
At the time of this review this is 46.74. It arrived well packaged and i was really excited to try it out. I love how it has a clock and temperature displayed on the front, this is really great for the babies room and especially great for night time feedings etc. The lights aren’t really the greatest but they do their job and i suppose it doesnt need to be any brighter in the babies room. The lullabies and projection are really good once i figured how to use them and the recording your own voice feature is a really good touch. The app took me a while to get used to and isnt the best to use or navigate but once everything was set up and id figured it all out i am really pleased with it.

This night light is great. It’s well made and, looks great.
It was very easy and simple to connect it to the phone, took just a couple of minutes.
This night light is so much better than I expected. The app is well made and It’s very easy to use.
The glow on ceiling projection is lovely. My 18 months old absolutely loves it.
You can also set it up to read bedtime story. My 4 year old and 6 year old, really enjoy the bedtime stories.
You can even record your child favourite stories.
I’m very impressed with this sleep trainer, it’s not just for babies.
What a wonderful tool this is by VTech in aiding your baby/child to sleep! Say goodnight to restless nights and hello to this amazing V-Hush Pro product! I love that it is jam packed full of useful features that actually have a purpose. As it is a sleep trainer, it is pre-loaded with 100+ sleep stories, meditation music and even lullaby background music which will enable your child to fall asleep faster and deeper. Aside from being just a sleep trainer, it is also an alarm clock and a bedside lamp. I love that this can all be accessed and customised by the parent via the Vtech app. This includes selecting the bedtime sounds/stories, changing the lights and even creating alarm clock routines to aid your child in waking up rested for schools in the mornings. I love the app has a lot of freedom for the parents so even the brightness can be adjusted on the product if you perhaps want to read your child a story before bed. The illustration projector is a nice added feature too but would be most suited for younger children. They look great and vibrant! I love how smooth the app works on my iPhone too, no crashes or lag when switching between lighting modes, etc. Very responsive and easy to operate. Very pleased with this product by a very reputable brand., VTech! 5 stars!

The projector feature is great. We never had night light like this and my kids specially younger one love this. You can controll everything through the app on your mobile phone you can programmed sounds, it have a story mode witch is absolutely fantastic its 50 stories build in and I find it really helpfull especially when I am back from work late and kids want good night story instead of read for them when I am tired we all cuddle and listen stories. You can also record your own stories or songs and then play it whenever you want.
I am impressed how great device it is and how much can help my kids to go to sleep.
No bells and whistles on this nightlight – simple, works by tapping the top of the nightlight to turn on, off, and adjuct brightness. there are some controls on the back to play music or soothing sounds – simple and effective, would make a great gift for new parents, no remote control needed that either gets lost or creates clutter. works with wall socke
This works really well. Took a bit of time to set up but once it’s done it’s simple to work. The app is pretty easy to navigate. It looks lovely too and really helped my daughter get off to sleep. Good value for money. Really impressed.
This sleep trainer system is generally a good thing. It combines a beautiful colour-changing nightlight, speaker system, thermometer, pre-programmed lullabies, classical music, and the ability to play back your own recordings.
The system has a special adapter plug – one of the things I liked least about this is that it doesn’t use a standard, easily replaceable USB charger/power supply, which is a pity when otherwise it’s very portable. The build quality is high – as you would expect from VTech.
When plugged in a display lights up at the front of the speaker section, which includes a thermometer that takes room temperature readings and provides at a glance indications of safety. The lamp feature is controllable by touch, with a list of functions on a label that at least for now I’m keeping on mine as an aide memoire as this has quite a lot going on. There are also buttons on the back, and app control.
This does require a bit of time learning your way around, and setting up the app. It’s a lot more complicated that I had anticipated – primarily because it’s so very featured packed. Not a cheap device, but one that thoroughly merits its price point.

Decent light good to settle the little man the effects on the ceiling are good feature definitely would recommend
It takes a bit of time to work out how to use it, what all the functions are (and do) and most importantly – get the app worked out. My biggest frustration was with the app, the device itself is great once it gets going, but that intial app install rubbed me the wrong way. I had to put it on, take it off and reset it at least 3 times before it would work properly and I’m still not convinced it’ll keep working.
Aside from that the unit is packed with features and although there are some I maybe won’t use, it’s nice to have them and not need them rather than need them and not have them. I love the songs and sounds and and the colours are really soothing. To be honest we’ve probably only just scraped the surface of what this can do and we might find the other features become more useful as time goes on but for now, it’s already great.

All in all, for 46.74, it is great value for money, and it functions everything in one and is ideal not just for babies but for adults also.
A nice all in one bluetooth speaker with plenty of extra features. However, its reliance on using a mobile app to control is definitely a negative. For whatever reason, the connection between this device and my phone is never stable. My phone is right next to it but the connection would just cut sometimes.
In any case, the product itself is still a solid quality one. I use it for my little one and it always puts him to sleep. The colours can be adjusted and so can the brightness. The sound quality isn’t the best I’ve ever heard from a bluetooth speaker but it is definitely serviceable for the price.
I have a lot of these little devices for my kids and this was the most expensive. To be honest it doesn’t do much more than the others and although made well I felt I went to use the other ones more.
The projector feature is useless, it’s very poor for vtech and almost cheapens the item. The good thing on it is the pew programmed sounds, but again most nightlights come with this option just not as many.
The story mode is fantastic but I do like to read to the kids rather than have a light do it, I think it takes away a moment you get a night to unwind and have quality time. That’s just me though and absolutely get not everyone has the time to do this.

Really easy to set up right out of the box. You do need to download the app to make it function but that also means that you can control it from the app which is really helpful. The light is a soft color and not very bright in the dark. The sound is adjustable so that’s really helpful and I like that I can use the app. I appreciate that I know the temperature of her room and I do think she will enjoy the sounds to get her to bed when she is super fussy. She sleeps really well most of the time but this is just nice to be able to have just in case. The size is small but I feel like the look it pretty modern and works well with her room or any room. I have had a few night lights over the years, mostly because they were cheap and failed or had little control over brightness etc. This one looks and feels well built and if it is anything like their toy range, it should last us years. The main light colour and brightness can easily be changed via the app and you can play music, read out stories and project fade in / out lights onto the ceiling. The light shapes are not overly stimulating, but if they are distracting they can be turned off. One thing I was really pleased with was the inbuilt speaker. It has a very good sound quality. The nursery rhymes are quite clear and soothing and the stories are equally clear.
The light and sounds can be set up in a schedule that suits you and it can also time out when you want. Ideal for setting up routines for bedtime and can help set the mood of the room. One of the things I most like is that in the night I can turn it on to a dim light to check on the little one without disturbing sleep. It took a little while to set it up and work our way through the settings, but it is straightforward and once you get the hang of it, you fly through it.
If you are looking for a new night light that will be suitable for all years, you won’t go far wrong with this.Ah, who am I kidding, you could use this as a bedside lamp too!
A lovely device and I do believe it has helped my son to sleep better. Lights are great and there are plently of songs and sounds to choose from. This covers all of the bases. The light changes colour and there are so many different sounds to choose from and it has a projector. I love that you can set up routines so it will come on automatically, however, the only fault for me is that when it is set in a routine and the routine is in action, you cannot use the buttons on the actual device. So for example, if the routine is playing and the sound is too high, you have to go into the app to change it instead of using the buttons on the soother itself. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this to new parents!
I’m very impressed with this VTech BC8313 V-Hush Pro Soothing Sleep Trainer, as I feel like I have many different devices in one.
Initially I’ve thought that it is pricey but I’ve change my mind because it replaces so many devices and needs only a little space in the room, so definitely worth the price.
This sleep trainer arrived nicely packed and presented in the box with user guide and charging cable.
It looks and feels well made from a good quality white plastic, sturdy and durable.
It is pretty stable.
Apart from being sleep trainer it has also recorded more than 100 stories, songs, lullabies, soothing sounds etc.
It works also as portable Bluetooth HD speaker, it was easy to pair it with my mobile phone and the connection was stable. Sound is of the decent quality considering the size of the speaker and could be pretty loud. More than good for the kids room.
It is also a beautiful multi-colour night light, there is many colours to choose from, all of them are nice and vibrant. Lamp is dimmable.
Ceiling pojector works well, projections are nice, sharp, colourful and could be customised.
This device has many more functions to include recording own voice.
I like that this sleep trainer is rechargable. It is very convenient for me as I’m not restricted to the lenght of the cable and don’t need to store batteries at home. I can put it almost everywhere I need it.
It charges fast and keeps the charge well.
It has easy to read display with many functions, it could display time, room temperature etc.
Some functions can be operate from the device, but to have access to all of them I had to install and app on my mobile phone.
It was easy and fast to download and install it on my android mobile phone – Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
App is straightforward to navigate through, so device was easy and fast to set up.
Overall I think that this device is very intuitive to use, hovewer at the very beginning I need a bit of time to explore all its functions.
Excellent device, definitely worth to invest in, would be also a perfect gift idea, so I would happily recommend it.
Total game changer – got this for my son who is autistic and has trouble sleeping and not only does this act as a night light but with the various modes and seen you can create this also doubles up as a storyteller/music player on the projector is amazing has improved sleep significantly and when I looked at previous reviews as I was expecting the app to be very poor but can’t fault that whatsoever simple to create your own scene or control the device really is spectacular and very easy to use also has a temperature monitor/clock built-in really can’t this at all 10 out of 10 for me
V-hush pro soothing sleep trainer
Initially I thought this looked pricey for what it seemed it was but it did exceed my expectations.
It’s a nice design and size at roughly 17cm tall and 9.5cm wide. This charges via a power cable with a UK plug on provided. I’m unsure how long the battery lasts, as it hasn’t yet died. You have an app which you can use with the device, called ‘V-tech soother’.
The device works as a night light, you have multiple colours to choose from and more customisable colours with the app. You can adjust the brightness easily. There is an adorable projector for the ceiling, this can be angled from the top of the device.
You have 50 stories, 100 classical songs, 10 lullabies and 12 natural sounds to choose from. You can also play your own music and record your own voice to play too.
In the app you can set up a bedtime routine, so you can play a story at a certain time, use lights, sounds and more, all customised by yourself.
There is more to this than I initially thought, I do think it’s well made, it’s multiple functions makes it versatile in its use. I would recommend it. Slightly more in price than I thought it would be that’s all.

This is a very lovely devic and has helped my lil one sleep so much better. You get 250 light colours and different brightness levels to choose from. The sounds, music, songs are amazing and not too loud but pleasant to the ears. It is so much easy to set up routines via the app. The story mode has been a big hit in my family. Setting up the device and registering on the app is very easy. I was able to record and upload my own song, stories or voice using the app which is a bonus. It has LED display to show the temperature and the time and a projector. Lots of features built in 1 item. No subscription fee to use the app. The device has a rechargeable battery too. Are more functions than I described but te descriptions of the Soothing sleep trainer is very accurate.
My little one she is asking me to give her “Rainbow” is how we name it ( can be named in the app) she wants to kiss it and hug it.

Lights: Full RGB lighting with brightness. The exterior texture means it gives off a lovely soft glow. The lighting can just be on or has 2 options for ‘breathing’.
Time/temp: The LED panel on the front will rotate between showing the current time and temperature.
Touch: The top is touch sensitive so you can turn it on and off by pressing your palm on the top. Can also change brightness from here and rotate through ‘favourite modes’.
Bluetooth speaker: Can be used as a portable Bluetooth speaker. The sound is actually pretty good.
Bedtime Stories: 50 well read bedtime stories including matching background music.
Classical Music: 100 classic songs from composers such as Beethoven and Bach.
Lullabies: 10 beautifully recorded relaxing lullabies.
Sound Effects: 12 sound effects including campfire, rain, heartbeat etc.

Routines: Powerful routines to help ‘train’ your child. You can set certain colours, audio and/or projections to come on at certain times of certain days. For example you could set the lamp to go blue at 3pm for play time and your child should learn to connect this colour with play time. Green at 7pm could mean that it’s almost time for bed, and blue with a lullaby means it’s time to sleep
Sleep Tips: The app contains lots of hints and tips on things to know about sleep scheduled for children, with guides for newborn, baby, toddler etc.
Honestly this night light is amazing. It doesn’t even need to be for children, the lights and lullabies/sounds are so soothing you could easily use this as an adult to sleep. The app is very powerful with its ability to create routines, timers, favourites etc.
So impressed with this beautiful lamp. It sounds much better in person than in my recording.
Slightly bigger than I expected but nonetheless a really well built product from Vtech.
The light has different colours which is really handy and dimmable.
It has a really good projector and music playable. Has a Bluetooth speaker and a clock and timer which is really handy.
You don’t have to always connect it to the outlets as it has a rechargeable battery and even has a temperature sensor.
It’s a gadget that has everything in one!

The tempurature is inaccurate often
The brightest setting isn’t bright enough for me to see what I’m doing at night for feeding, so I still use a lamp
Overall I think this is a fantastic product, and is helping every member of our family to sleep
