Overall great clippers for the price.
Downside is that theres no charging light to indicate charging in progress and charging complete.
Another small defect is that the on/off button is easily activated during operation turning the clipper off.
Used these to go over after a couple of weeks growth on a blanket clip. Did the job perfectly and still sharp.
Slightly noisier than the master clip in my opinion but feels more robust and I prefer the blades which I can hopefully get sharpened instead of throwing away after use. Plenty of battery life I’ve charged them once And used for more than 45 mi

They are quiet and I managed to give him a sort of blanket clip using only the trimmers. The battery lasted the duration.

Great little clippers! Have fully de-feathered 2 cobs with them and use every few weeks to tidy them up. Still cutting perfectly after many uses!
Great trimmers. Used to clip my horses head as he won’t let me do it with the clippers. Also good for hard to reach places. Worth spending a little bit more on these.
Really good, sturdy little clippers, perfect for tidying up my pony’s legs and head, so easy to use being cordless, he stands eating the grass whilst I do it and didn’t even notice, usually if he’s tied up he fidgets and stamps around.
Used to remove my cobs feathers. First I removed what I could with scissors then finished off with the clippers.
They coped well and were easy to use. I’ve never clipped a pony before so can’t compare to other clippers but these did the job well and didn’t struggle at any point. Very happy with them.
Brilliant product, much quieter than my heavy duty battery clippers I use on feathers and body. Perfect for my slightly head shy pony. Prompt delivery and lovely storage/ carry case.
The length adjuster switch rubs up against the body of the shaver, making it hard to move if you’re not really paying attention to it.
These are robust and very high quality clippers. They come with a range of fittings but also work well with no attachments.
They are however loud – and the full metal comb can be a bit harsh. They also require oiling and more careful maintenance than other clippers.
Battery life is superb – hours of use – and this whole high level of build quality is present throughout.
My main issue is the noise really – but aside from that, superb clippers.
These Wahl equine trimmers are superb. They are cordless, making them very convenient to use.
They come with 4 attachment combs, allowing trimming at various lengths between 0.8mm and 13mm.
They’re a little on the expensive side, but we don’t mind paying for a quality product from a well known brand.
Very quiet compared to other more known machines. Smooth face trimming with the filly acceptance. Used it once though
Feels great in the hand. The weight is just nice. Lighter would have resulted in less control. Heavier would make longer jobs uncomfortable.
Cuts really well. I expect the battery to last for quite a while.
As expected from Wahl, this is one exceptionally good trimmer (that work well with the human hair too!), classic design with removable attachments in different length, fits well in the hand and cuts clean. It can be used corded or cordless and the charge lasts 2 hours. My only beef with this trimmer is that it doesn’t have an indicator for when the battery is charging, but apart from that, highly recommended.
Not a bad little trimmer. It charges well and seems to hold a good charge. It is not overly noisy so can be used on horses that are a little sensitive to noise. It is cordless which is so handy these days with horses as leads can be so dangerous.
This is a very nice quality product, given its low price.
The packaging does leave a lot to be desired, but once opened it contains the clippers and clipper guard/heads. The actual clippers appear to be well made and cut very well. The heads and clipper itself allow you to choose the length of the cut, depending upon what kind of effect you want. Everything worked well and once fully charged, the battery lasted over 90 minutes……..and is still going.
Overall this is a great starter kit for the novice. I am therefore happy to Highly Recommend the product.
The blade didn’t seem to get hot, so there was no wait time.
I have to admit i’m more about doing a spring trim rather than show trimming, but I can imagine these have the capabilities for it. I was able to get good definition on the foot using the 1.8mm setting. I imagine someone with better skill and the shorter setting could get a really nice show clip with this, but personally I more use mine just to keep her neat and cool for summer.
It holds the charge, enough to spend time for one whole horse anyway, which is as much as my testing has allowed.
I would still however recommend not jumping straight in with trimming, if you’re not experienced yet. Let the horse smell the clipper, and be used to the sound of it before putting it too close. If your horse gets worried then keep it on and vibrating, but stroke with it in your hand but not touching them; at the end of the day, it’s still a big noisy foreign object that they might not be able to understand.
I really like this clipper. As it’s the model with the steel blade it does need considerable care, regular oiling and for it to be kept clean. Even though this is made for Horses, i probably would also be fine with using it on a long haired dog.
Really good quality trimmer. Well built, excellent battery life, and very easy to use, hold, and durable blades.
Has multiple attachments, and taper control from 0.8mm to 13mm, so can easily trim all areas of your horse. With 2hrs of battery life as well, you won’t be charging it all the time either.
Competitively priced as well, so would recommend.
The trimmer uses Lithium Ion batteries which suffer from no memory problems, hold a good charge and also allow you to add a quick charge if needed.
We as a family have had horses for most of our lives, my sister being the real horse person, she shows, trains, rides etc, as I’ve got older I am less lily to do any of the above. We have used trimmers in the passed, which come out when my sister is showing.
The Wahl does a great job, what we did like was the lack of noise, it was still the normal trimmer noise but nothing that upset our horse. Its great for around face, the ears, the legs and the bridle path.

Priced at just under 65 does make it competitively priced, I’ve always thought these horse trimmers to be over priced when you look at the price of a hair one, but that’s my opinion.
Its well made, works very well, does a great job, very pleased.
This is a super kit for keeping your horse in trim for the show ring. It contains the clippers, charger, oil for the blades and 4 different sized combs to enable you to control the length of the cut, whether for the part of the body or if you are going for a design. My son has ponies for his children and they are thrilled with this as they have been paying someone to do it for them up to now. My son has found it very easy and it does not disturb the ponies while you work. He is now teaching his eldest how to use it. The quality is very good.
Good charge to run time ratio on these clippers, they don’t overheat as much as cheaper ones can do which is a definite plus point!
I found the plastic guards to be fiddly and feel that the fitting on them is liable to break easily.
Overall decent value for money but if you can afford better, go for it.
Don’t ask me about these, I know what trimmers are for and I know what a horse is but how they go together is a mystery.
Happily, my sister, who has owned horses for donkeys years (sorry no pun intended), does and she’s over the moon with these. Her old electric trimmers are over 30 years old and these are so smooth.
They arrived in a plastic carry case and needed little in the way of charging as they were already about 90% fully charged. As soon as she started using them, my sister was getting more enthusiastic as the time went on. She did the whole horse and the trimmers needed no recharge untill all was finished.
She stated that these must go aa a five star review.
