Bought for my dad at his flat after he had money stolen by a family member, but that’s another story. ! It’s ideal, easy to use and keeps his money and cards safe!

Got this for my son for his birthday. Great safe, operated by a code. Easy to set up. Does the job. Good value for money when shopping my around, this one seemed perfect.

It was locked and wouldn’t open we have to break into it, the key didn’t even open it, and it was full of the companies van keys, very disappointed.

update, contacted YALE direct they send me out a brand new safe! fingers crossed this lasts longer
excellent service really pleased with the response

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood size for a bedroom, quite heavy and sturdy.
It’s a gift with a gift inside so I’m very excited for the response on 25th Dec.
Worth the money and easy to set up. The exact one was priced different from other sellers so this was 40 if I remember right where others were selling exact one for 50+

Feels sturdy and heavy. Quite fiddly to get into with the key to set up the code. Bought as a present to put my son’s Christmas money in so whenever he wants a computer game he can pay me and hopefully see money doesn’t grow on trees. He’s autistic so will enjoy the code entry (that’s also the reason I chose one with an alarm).

Brought it as I am going to Uni soon and want an extra secure place to put some belongings. Was very happy with the ease of use when setting it up and using it. Price is high but very well worth it. Would recommend

What can I say, it does everything we need, it’s easy to open and its definitely great security wise, wouldn’t be without ours and if anything we’d probably get the next size up too so I definitely highly recommend this produc

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIts not the strongest safe, I reckon I could break into it with simple hand tools if I had a bit of time, that said its not completely useless. Perhaps you want to keep something away from the kids. Perhaps you just need something more secure than nothing but not necessarily fort knox.

I wouldn’t rely on it as your primary storage for high valued items.

Its heavy in weight and thats a good thing. It will be heavier when things are in there. Slow down any theif. You could always solder a chain to it and attach it somewhere to make it even more secure. But I think it’s worth the money. Does what it says on the tin.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI wanted a small safe to store backup data drive, passport etc. It’s never going to defeat a determined thief but it will protect them more than leaving things on view. Good value for a strong metal box with decent locking mechanism and digital key pad (with keys for backup). Easily bolted to the wall with supplied bolts. The other benefit is I know where these things are rather than wondering where I left them! Exactly what I wanted and expected. Pay a lot more for more security but it’s relative to how secure you need valuables to be.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersFirst one I received didn’t work, couldn’t get the pin code to set to a number of my choice. But the second one was fine. Bought for my little old mum to keep some bits in, so she seems happy with it which makes me happy. Comes with the batteries and screws and plugs to attach it to a wall, plus 2 keys to get back in if you forget the code. Code Reset button is on the back of the door on the inside.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersFirst impressions this seems like an ok safe for the home, being able to set an 8 digit code makes it quite secure, had a little trouble at first setting up as your required to use key to first unlock but instructions appear to show that you push the yale button/simble to the left or up, but in fact what you do is pick it off completely, there’s a small indent to get your nail under.
To set your code, insert 4 aa batteries(included inside) press red button inside door, enter desired code and finally press the tick button.
According to amazon details the dimensions are as follows –
    22cm deep – 23cm wide – 33cm height

    Dimensions are in fact these
    20cm deep – 31cm wide – 20cm height

    Decent size space inside

Another thing to note is its door heavy, so if you don’t secure to wall or floor or have lots in it….it will topple forward when door is fully open. 2 x keys supplied.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent size - door heavy - wrong dimensions

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAs described, works well. Only thing would like bolts for both the side and bottom bolt holes to be provided as had to put source. Safe is worth a buy and a bargain tho!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is for the 40L safe. The safe is fine for casual use but not if a determined thief has enough time. The door is reasonably tight fitting but the sheet metal is 2mm thick so given a suitable crowbar or cordless angle grinder it could be entered. If this was 4 or 5mm it would be amazing and I would pay the higher price for it.
Upside is accompanied by other security e.g. a house alarm it is probably enough to deter an opportunistic thief and it does have a large internal area with removal shelf.
Downside the mounting bolts look and feel like Chinese light alloy and so the Philips head screw rounds out during installation and you will need to also use a 10mm ratchet or ring spanner to drive the bolts home. they are tight fitting so feels secure against the wall. Fortunately the bolts do have that dual head but don’t expect to unscrew the bolts with your electric screwdriver if you need to move the safe.
Battery compartment plastic cover broke on first use but this in itself was not significant enough for me to return the item, I’ll just use a screwdriver to prise open when batteries are ready for replacement.
The box (nor the Amazon text) does not identify where this is built but looking at the quality of internal solder I would say its likely Chinese but highly unlikely to be UK or Germany
