Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersJe l’ai depuis 2 jours.
    On verra bien l’usage.
Aujourd’hui trs satisfait. Cela m’vite quelques trajets vers le practice.

Well constructed product and very happy overall. Only issue being that there is a more significant “dip” at the center of the net when constructed that what appears in the photo…perhaps 6inch/15cm.

Easy quick set up. Sturdy. After probably 100 balls the clips that hold the 4 point target in place started to fail. Just the bottoms ones which I fixed with Coleman light duty carabiners until the fabric tabs tore away. At this point the carabiners are just clipped to the net itself so no big deal but it’s a design flaw for sure. Overall very happy to have a sort of driving range in my back yard. The hanging target let’s me know I’m at least starting my balls off right. Good for muscle memory.

We bought this last year and was very happy with it. We never left it up when not in use and put it into its storage bag. Today, after we set it up. There was a wind gust and one of the base section where the pole goes into cracked open. No longer useable. Might try to see if we can get it welded. So disappointing.

So glad I did my research and bought this item! After using this net. I can see why it much better design then the golf name brand nets. The extra flap in the front hold most of the balls in and stops them from bouncing out.
The only fought is the chrome pop clips. Luckily they give you extra ones to replace if needed.

When I got the net from Amazon, the base of the net was damaged and I wasn’t able to assemble it. I contacted their support and got a response within 24 hours. After showing them the shipping damage, they shipped me a replacement base which I got within a few days.

The net itself is super sturdy. I’ve probably hit 200+ balls at it already and it’s been holding up so far. It is pretty large, larger than my garage door, so keep that in mind if you’re setting it up in the garage.

    A+ product, A++ customer service.

Bought this net 2 years ago and the bottom stitching for the net support failed in the first week! I contacted the customer service and they promptly sent me a new net I was able to use a clamp to hold the net in place and continue the use, and honestly I still haven’t installed the new net The stitching for the center target pocket stitching also failed after about a year (I assume this was due to hitting this target when using driver) all and all this product has been very useful, hopefully they have eliminated and strengthen the anchor point areas would absolutely recommend, but be aware of this small issue. Great customer service!. Hit em straight!!

This product is a very nice golf net. You can hit real balls into it without fear of putting holes through it. My favorite feature is the ease of setup in takedown. Set up takes about 10 minutes by myself and takedown takes less than 5 minutes. Very pleased with the product.

One thing to note is, although the catch basin at the bottom will catch the balls, they will bounce off of hard floors (ie. concrete garage floor). I highly recommend this net for the price.

The net is easy to setup, sturdy and stays put in mild wind. There are pegs for when there is more wind then a light breeze. Mat moves when you hit the ball, not so bad with a driver but really moves with irons and wedges. Had to buy a new mat. Best mat to get that you can stand on like a 3×5 or 5×5 unless you can anchor down the small mat every time. I have synth lawn (fake grass), use it in the garage or under my gazebo on a concrete slab.

I love the product but I found it really strange there were NO assembly instructions. Yes it’s easy to put together but I’d like something to know I did it right. I still have no idea where the 2 V shaped pins go or what they are for. I’m not sure if there is a certain way to attach the target impact zone because they don’t tell you. Overall I’m happy with it and it’s a very fair price. And it was easy to assemble.

Love this product, I’m someone who has a fairly high swing speed and can hit the ball hard. This net has been great and can width-stand the heat. It was easy to assemble and was a quick set up. The only issue I have is the center target is made cheap and the clips broke off for me. I ended up using a zip tie and manually setting it on the net.

Perfect for warming up and for short game improvement. I use real balls for my short game work and foam balls for distance shots. I’m quite sure the net would handle full tee shots with real balls but not worth the risk of an errant shot making it around the outside perimeter of the net. Too many windows nearby. Once you get the hang of it, setup takes about 5 minutes. It’s built really well and is a pleasure to use.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve had this SteadyDoggie 10′ wide golf practice net for over a month now and have hit ~1000 shots into it. I’ve hit mostly 8-irons into it, plus a fair amount of long irons and hybrids, a few PW, and some drivers.

Great practice net. I’d buy it again- very happy with this purchase. The product catches balls very confidently and gently drops them into the bottom collection area with little fuss. No bounce-back at all, not even with a driver. I like the large size- I’ve hit a few shanks, and the net has caught them. I suppose if you’re set up too far from the net a shank could get past it, so hit your shots from reasonably close (I’m typically about 4′-5′ from the front), and don’t use it to practice full swing shots with gap or lob wedges that might get over it.

It’s well built, and the net is holding up fine thus far- no noticeable wear as yet. Nothing has disconnected or otherwise come loose. I’ve mis-hit a few shots thin/low enough that they impacted the front of the collection barrier instead of the net, and it hasn’t torn or ripped, even at driver velocity. I’ll be interested to see how everything holds up over the long term, but it seems as though it will last a number of seasons. IMO SteadyDoggie did a good job with this.

I have no significant negatives to note- this has exceeded my expectations. Here are a few other notes folks might be interested in:

It took 5-10 minutes to read the instructions/set it up the one and only time I’ve done it. Next time would probably be a lot faster. I haven’t taken it down yet so can’t speak to that.

Some pictures show the net as being fairly tight across the top, others show it with a bit of sag. Mine has a bit of sag. Roughly 6.5′ high in the center, 7.5′ at the corners.

The ball catch at the bottom does a good job of collecting hit balls. However long irons and beyond, with their higher velocity and lower trajectory, sometimes flex the net enough to pop a ball out of the collection area. When it happens, it usually lands a foot or three from the front of the net (makes for a handy ball return). I’ve had a good driver shot lob a ball 6 or 8 feet from the net. If you’re looking for something to use outdoors on a hard surface on which a popped out ball could roll a ways (driveway) or get scuffed up on, this product might not be ideal.

It can blow over in moderate wind if not secured…the provided U-pegs are handy.

The chipping target is probably not intended for use with full shots, but I like having something to judge the line of my shot’s impact, so I hang it behind the net. I’m probably shortening the life of the target by doing this, but I don’t chip with this net so don’t care too much about it. Anyway, a good hit on the target, even though the ball hits the net material first, makes a pretty loud (and satisfying, if I’m being honest) thwack, louder than the clubface does on the ball. I would think twice about using the target for full shots if I lived in a tight neighborhood.

Happy with this golf practice ne

I bought this for my 15 year old son who is an avid golfer. He loves this net. It was easy to set up and it is very well made. He has a fast, hard swing and he hits into it for hours some days and it has never fallen down nor have the parts separated from each other. We have had it for a couple of months and it stays up through sunshine and rain and it looks brand new. We will take it down in the winter and it comes with a bag for storage or travel. My husband also uses it and he has stated how well made it is. I highly recommend this net.

I’ve set it up and used it once, seems solid and as advertised. The only thing i can point to as a possible issue is the target. It doesn’t seem to have specific attachment points and hanging from random spots on the net doesn’t seem like a long term solution. I might be missing something, will re-evaluate next time i set it up.

The company has a video on their website that shows how to set up the net. Had to watch it a couple of time…I’m slow anymore…to get the gist, but set-up and break-down are now a breeze. Speaking of a breeze, the net is of good quality construction and a breeze will certainly tip it over, if not secured to the ground properly. Evidently my shots are not possessed of enough power to tip the thing over, but the late afternoon breezes are…guess that’s part of why I need a practice net?

Gave three stars on the durability rating as I just received this product and have no idea how well it will stand up over time. The construction appears to be such that it will serve well for a good while, but I’m not inclined to rate a product based solely on suppositions…time will tell.

The practice mats could be a little larger, but they’re adequate for hackers like myself. They’re large enough to keep me from tilling the back yard, at least. Just a note: practicing with a wedge (52 degrees or higher) requires getting fairly close to the net. Even at seven feet in height, an errant wedge shot can clear the top of the net…at least mine can. Haven’t struck a neighboring house, though I terrorized a dog.

Overall, I see this as a good value and am pleased with the purchase. I recommend the Steady Doggie.

I love the net, and I’ve used to practice my swing a lot without wasting a ton of money at the range.
My only complaint would be that the practice could be more durable. I don’t think I’ve hit more than 500 shots off it and it’s almost completely unusable. I hit outside in my backyard on grass and it also tends to slide after every shot so you have to reset it. I tend to take a divot when I swing so this could be why, but nonetheless this could be improved as now I’ll have to go buy another mat to hit off.

I looked at a lot of different golf nets and am very glad I went with this one. Large enough for even my sporadic array of shots and top quality frame and netting. This should last for years. As others have stated, the hardware for the clip on target will break when struck by a golf ball traveling at over 100 mph. Can’t blame anyone for that fact. To greatly lessen the chances of this happening, extend the straps to their full length when hanging the target. This will place the clips and the plastic adjustment doohickey out of the strike zone. I am sure I will hit one of them eventually, but if you don’t do this, you’ll break one on the first day. Guilty as charged.

I’m always skeptical of these types of products. Too often, the net or the framework are very poor quality. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this net, especially at this price point. The net is plenty strong enough for me to blast my driver using real golf balls. Nets I’ve had in the past would allow the ball to go straight through!

Assembly is very simple and the frame is a nice, sturdy combo of a steel base with fiberglass rods holding the net. The rods themselves are also thicker and feel like a better quality than a lot of the other nets out there.

The size of the net is also a nice plus.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have been using this net for 2 1/2 months now, with a combination of regular golf balls and foam balls, and with clubs from a sand wedge to a driver. So far, it has held up well and done the job. This net is easy to assemble, comes with some spare pins used to hold telescoping parts together, and is plenty sturdy for home use. It could probably be used in a golf practice facility, too.

On the negative side, you need to be close to the net when using clubs with higher lofts, as you can pretty easily go over the top of the net with a hard wedge swing. On the other hand, I am not sure a higher new would be practical in a back yard with trees.

The only problem I have is that the turf that came with it has already been completely ripped apart. The edges of the turf Matt will easily tear apart when hit. I have just started golfing again after 8 years and if you hit the edge of the turf it will rip apart immediately. Definitely user fault, but if the turf had a lip to it, it would not break apart as easy. The nets target also will break if you hit the clips as I have discovered. Great net though, never had a ball hit past it. If the turf was a little better I would give 5 stars.

The golf net bundle arrived with a rather large dent in the left leg that folds out. I don’t believe this is SteadyDoggie’s
fault but rather Amazon’s warehouse. The net arrived in huge Amazon box and inside was another box that contained the golf net. It was apparent that the golf net box had been opened and resealed. I have to assume this happened at Amazon as I don’t believe any mfg’r would ship it out with visible damage to the box. I assembled the net and it seems that it will work. The net bundle seems very well made and very durable. We’ll see how it holds up.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersI am one of the Amazon buyers who relies on reviews to make nearly every purchase but never actually writes one myself but I simply have to share my experience with this golf net. If you are looking for a solid net (at a ridiculous price for the quality), this is definitely the one.

I’m a serious golfer and have owned a LOT of nets over the years and this product is in a league of its own. 99% of golfers do not need more than this net and if you are looking for something more solid than this (as some other reviewer stated), then you need to build a proper hitting cage, rather than complaining about a shockingly solid portable product. The other nets I’ve owned that are based on a similar design (tension between two flexible vertical poles) are nowhere near this quality. The base is a very solid single piece and I don’t understand how other users could possibly have issues with it falling/tilting. I am using on a concrete floor with no anchors and it is SOLID.

However, what impressed me the most about this experience was the customer service after the purchase. I set the net up incorrectly and damaged it in the process. Reading the negative reviews leads me to believe that the handful of people who were unhappy maybe set it up wrong also. I wrote to the company for guidance and heard back immediately from the owner who patiently explained my mistake and provided images to guide me through a proper setup. The icing on the cake was that, without prompting, the owner sent me costly parts to replace the ones I damaged at no charge and refused to accept any payment for them (even though the damage was due to misuse). The communication was incredibly professional and more what you would expect from a luxury product retailer — not a small family business on Amazon!

I’m writing this while we are under a stay-at-home order in South Carolina for Covid-19 so I’m free to hit several hundred balls a day into this net. After setting it up properly, not a single ball has gotten through and there is no doubt this will endure very heavy use for years to come. I’d suggest buying some of the rubber tees that can secure a regular wooden tee and maybe a full-size mat so the ball is not above your feet off the deck. Also, make sure to only use the target for chipping as it is not intended to endure full-power shots. If you set it up properly, the 4-piece package has everything you possibly need to take your practice to the next level and if you are unhappy in any way, reach out to the company and I bet they’ll do their best to satisfy you.

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersSo far so good. Have hit a couple hundred shots into the net and it really holds up great. Have gone from a wedge to a driver full send and the net handles it with ease. I am a six handicap and drive the ball around 290. I was concerned using a driver indoors, but the net receives it easily. The ball does come back to you rolling on the ground. Using a full pitching wedge the ball rolls back to me and lands right on the mat. As I go down in clubs the roll will be a little faster, but always manageable. Great indoor training tool for the winter, now considering buying an opti shot to go with it. Will update on durability in a couple months. Setup was a breeze.

    UPDATE:
I’ve been using this net daily now for over a month. Great product but after the first week I put a hole in it, which was really not good because I had it set up in my house. Put a nasty dent in a ping pong table I had protecting that window behind the net. Contact the company and they promptly sent me a new net. now I have set it up as a double net system and no issues at all anymore. Two nets is where it’s at, excellent customer service.

    Great Net!

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersAs we have had disappointing experiences with golf practice nets, we are delighted to have chosen the SteadyDoggie one this time. It is an ‘all in one’ bundle with a strong and well designed net frame which assembles and disassembles in a couple of minutes. The part of the frame on the ground folds and bends ingeniosly and makes is so portable for the way we use it. The grass mat is of a great quality and does not slip and wear like the previous ones we had. We use the golf net bundle at home on our yard and very often throw the bits together in the car (there is a large and handy carry bag) and drive to an open scenic spot and set up impromptu for golf practices. The net seems very durable and we drive into it with real golf balls. We will update this review in future with any new experiences.
