Plants now in great condition. It’s very easy to overwater indoor plants but this simple instrument stops you doing that. No batteries required. Remember to wipe clean with paper tissue – do not run under tap!
I have one of these for each greenhouse and they are wonderful for gauging moisture. I prefer this method rather than testing the soil with my finger as it’s just fool proof. Would highly recommend
The 2 soil moisture meters arrived when due. They are very easy to use and the readings are clear. As we know different plants require different levels of moisture and, as expected, I got dfferent readings from different containers so they appear to be accurate.
Using these little beauties has taught me that I have been over watering my loved plants hence their not so perfect health. After a few days they are recovering as their roots are not drenched. Sounds obvious as the soil above is dry to tend to water but the soil underneath is still moist hence the over watering. Well worth the money.
I bought these as I am terribly forgetful and kept under/over watering my plants. They work really well. I keep them on the shelf next to my indoor plants, and I use them every few days to check the moisture levels in my plants and they work really well. I nearly killed my indoor plants, first by forgetting to water them, and then by over watering them, so I bought these to help me to tell how much water I had given my plants and now my plants are happily. These are such good gadgets to have it you have a bad memory like me.
The surface soil of the olive trees, (which cost hundreds of ), was bone dry, and the trees were dying.
I carried on watering and feeding. It transpires once I got these that the soil was wet, and it’s taken 3 weeks for it to be on the dry side of moist, and the trees are now recovering.

Chuffed with these. Kept one and gave the other as a gift. Great to not be doing guess work but knowing exactly what is going on. Decent product, decent price, thumbs up (green ones lol)
These water meters have saved the life of my plants. Recommended by a friend who managed to kill most of theirs by either over or underwatering I had a go and discovered that using these meters is much easier than guesswork on each plant. There’s no batteries to bother with and they’re incredibly simple to use by just sticking the probe into the soil at root level and reading off either dry, moist or wet on the display and then watering accordingly. Clean the probe between each plant by a simple wipe and that’s it, job done, happy plant and happy me.
Love this handy tool. Just pull it out of the box and dip it into your plant pots for the results. Wipe after each poke otherwise it won’t be precise.10/10 for making watering that much easier!
Love these. Have gone from, “oh the soil looks dry” and watering to “stick finger into soil, feels but dry” to these meters. So simple, I now only water most plants when they’re on dry. Some you would think were bone dry read as most so you dont need to guess and end up over watering. If you have a lot of plants they’re a great help
Seems to be quite robust however the writing on the packaging is misleading because in no way at all does it measure the ph of your soil

Extremely easy to use especially for window boxes I have two window boxes on my balcony they dry out pretty quickly these are extremely useful for making sure my plants survive
I bought the pack of two, one for inside plants and one for outdoor plants. The reading is instant once you insert it into a plant. I opted against buying the combo readers for moisture and PH, as they had bad reviews, but this moisture reader seems to be quite accurate. I also felt the price was good for a pack of two when other sellers charged the same for a pack of one. I feel happy with this purchase.
