Brilliant light , great value for the money

Installed OK 3 days ago on matching white plastic fascia under gutter (see photo) of garage at 4m height to illuminate a side passage that is immediately in front of light and to illuminate the frontage of the house which is at right angles to the light. The sensor detects someone approaching from either direction and near max sensitivity even triggers when I stand at the far end of frontage, around 18m from the light. Illumination good in side passage and adequate across house frontage.
Good flexibility for positioning light panels which give wide light spread, so even with panel turned as far as possible away from next door some light leaks into their garden, though not excessive. The panels cannot be turned from horizontal to vertical. They can be tightened in their preferred positions with screws on the joints.
Very impressed with Depuley customer service: Sears messaged proactively to invite feedback and to help and replied quickly to confirm that the light panel can be part-shaded with cloth or white waterproof duck tape to reduce spread of light next door, which I have done (see photo).
Light comes on reliably and only when someone is in range of the sensor. The sensor controls are easy to work. The item is lightweight and plastic but appears well made and well sealed and is neat. The light rain since installation has not affected performance.
It would have been easier to wire in an existing cable but maybe the IP65 water or dust resistance could be compromised that way, though not a problem with previous IP44 lights I have used. The plug is of no use and it would be better to have a longer flex instead if it has to be pre-wired: mine was just short of an existing junction box and so I had to cut off the plug and have an additional junction to my own cable.
Excellent pir system, would of liked it to be brighter.
Bought 2 lights over a year ago. Nice and bright, and covers a larger area since one can adjust direction of both LEDs. We live on the coast, and I have been through many PIR security lights in the past. They all seem to rust/corrode and suffer from water ingress. Not these ones though. Still look as good as when I installed them. No rust, no water ingress. The right hand LED went on one of the lights after 14 months. Had great communication with the seller. Was asked to check a couple of things on my end, and the seller ended up sending me a new light. Really can’t go wrong with this quality and service.
We bought two of these because they were a decent price, had good specs (the motion sensor can be tilted, which makes it easier to be flexible about locating it) and wasn’t black (we used them on pale walls).
We also went for plastic, because the Scottish weather is unforgiving to metal, and the lights do look smart once up.
They are bright, but not offensively so (though- I’d like a warm light option).
One started to remain on during the night if triggered too many times in one night within 10 months (the other is fine) and no matter what we did (power-cycling etc), it refused to behave. Have to assume that we were unlucky, and it has a faulty electronic component?
Anyway- I got in touch for a warranty claim, and the seller couldn’t have been more helpful.
I’d not hesitate to buy this unit again, should I need more.
Quick to install. Have used it inside my garage to come on when someone enters through the side door.
Despite adjusting to max duration, the light only stays in for around 10 secs – disappointing
I ended up not using and returning on the basis that my fitter got covid and cancelled but though I would give a little heads up on a couple of things. The electrical connections where for typical 240v house plugs. They were also very small. Check the dimensions before purchase. Seller accepted return with no hassle though.
The lights are easy to install as described. But need patience to adjust the Time switch for the seconds you wish to set on.
Excellent customer service when one of the double lamps stopped working after around six months. After contacting seller they sent me a replacement lamp quickly. The lights are bright & the motion sensors do their job very well. I would recommend the product & seller.
This unit has a plastic case and is IP66 rated. The light output and controls are good – Lux, timer, and sensitivity. 20W output seems to give about 100-150 watts effective halogen equivalent light output with a lot less heat. The unit is quite cheaply made, but looks OK when fitted.

In white you can see the plastic is quite cheap, and not pure white (off-white).
I can see it’s water resistant – but I wouldn’t be confident in IP66 rating – maybe IP44
Cable fitment annoying – It comes with fixed lead and 3 pin plug.. you have to open up the back to connect bare wires and there is no connector block inside, they are all crimped connections. Most people will want to wall mount and connect to existing bare house cables. (it is unlikely to be “plugged-in” to a 240v socket) – I had to remove the back, cut wires and use choc-block to fit cables… some people would not take this on.
The timer sensor and lux switches didn’t work. However, despite the fact the unit had been converted to wire into an existing recessed wall connection (plug removed) and fitted before we discovered this; this company have still offered to replace it! I really did not expect that, I think they have gone beyond their normal responsibility here. The light itself looks nice, looking forward now to getting the replacement fully working one.
I am very pleased with the performance of this light. It does all I want it to do.
Also very good supplier, good service and, good communication. I recommend them and will use them again when necessary.
They are fitted with 3 pin plug , had to cut these off to pass cable through wall of garage
I do not have power in my garden so this was essential as it uses solar power. Works well. Senser picks up straight away.lights are rotatable which is good. Overall happy with this.
Used for patio lighting rear of bungalow,works very well as advertised,gives a good bright white light at 20 watts. Replaces a 300 watt
Halogen old type lamp fitting. No light shields fitted to stop light going into the night sky or to stop annoyance to propertys looking and viewing down on the light fitting.
Easy to install floodlight. Great it can cover two areas.
Would of liked the option to have wired directly into the back of it rather than the cable coming out of the base. Apart from that all good.
It’s nice and bright. Light-weight and the sensor & lights are easy to swivel to where you want them. Perfect to light down the side passageway of my house. Good security and nice and bright for me to see where I’m going & unlock the gate without groping around in the dark. Much better than lights previously purchased from large DIY retailers.
The light has 2 modes and I use the dim all night and brighten when it detects movement. Useful for letting the dog out at night. The solar panel on my chosen mode runs out of energy at around 3 am, even after a long sunny day but for me that is not a problem.
The only minor thing is that it is not as bright as I was expecting, hence the four stars, but having the two light panels make up for that. It seems like it is made from a decent quality of plastic and is not not flimsy. Very pleased with it so far.
These lights are to light a long pathway so its useful that you can turn the lights to point in several directions. For some reason they come with plugs on.
I have two of these now, they come with fitted fused 3amp UK Plugs, I have cut these to replace my terrible LED outdoor lights.. These are Brilliant, They have a diffuser covering the light source element, Its not unbearable to look at directly & Amazingly for any period of time set will never get hot, Not even Tepid i would describe.
The small P.I.R Sensor is also brilliant, I’ve set this off @ an angle of about 70 Degrees with my finger about two meters away also exhale of smoke has too..
Front door path is only four meters & can angle lights down as not to blind passers by & Also have the sensor leveled & Set to respond to larger objects only, very good product used a 3 core waterproof cable connector for both Lights & Housed in conduit..
I have not seen these diffuser types much here on zon But are cheaper than the few I have seen.. Very good units & very good lighting per size wattage ..Good choice has three settings under the pir lux, time, sensor strength.
