Purchased these earrings because they are good value.They fit and thoroughly recommended.
Perfect for what I wanted. Easy to put in and fasten. Turn completely through the holes in my ears. Needed these gold sleepers as my ears are prone to infection from other metals.
Royal Mail wouldn’t post through letterbox though (very thin envelope) and I had to have them redelivered.
I wanted some old school hinged sleeper earrings and these didn’t disappoint. slightly finer gauge than I would have liked but really good value for money and super comfortable.
very light weight on my ears ,I hardly feel I’m wearing them.
I will probably look to getting some thicker ones at some point .
I had a pair for at least 30 years.Finally found a pair on Amazon & later bought a second pair for my daughter.
The crucial point is in the ‘ clasp’ fitting.Lost one of my pair years ago – but only because I took them off, for a party change.
Have worn new ‘sleepers’ since, everyday, shower, bed. Couldn’t find in any Jewellery shop etc that sold them. Enjoy!
Seem to be ok though very fine sleepers expected them to be a little thicker in the ring.

Firstly, I was so pleased to find hinged sleepers. These are really nice, good quality sleepers. As other reviews have stated they were painful to twist fully for the first 3 days or so. This may be partly because I hadn’t worn any earrings for a good few months, but I have had my ears pierced for over 40 years so it shouldn’t have made that much difference. The trick is to twist the earring part way for the first days and gradually move it around. Now, I don’t even notice the hinge and can turn them painlessly. They look good and are comfortable to sleep in once you get used to them.
Really pleased with these and would definitely order again.
hese are great for me. they’re nice and sturdy, easily put in your ear and I can wear them all the time. They move nicely round which is important for keeping your ear clean. with anything that doesn’t, there is a risk of infection if you don’t take them in and out. these are a secondary pair and I don’t take them out, anyway, silver is used in some situations to kill infection and promote healing. I can keep these clean without taking them out – result. the catch is really good and easy to push in. would recommend
I have been looking everywhere for hinged gold sleepers! Finally ordered these, they are larger than expected, and one (out of four) had a stiff hinge that I am worried will break and makes it difficult to put the earring in. But overall, I’m glad to have sleepers again.
I read some reviews saying the latch/hinge catches in the hole. It did for the first two days in the worst affected ear but as long as I didn’t turn it, it was fine. In the other ear, which was still tender and swollen, it didn’t catch at all. So I think provided your piercing isn’t brand new you should be fine and if it is, don’t turn them for a few days. The latch/hinge is extremely smooth and is now unnoticeable.
The latch stays shut without any concern of it falling out. The only downside I have found is that in order to keep the latch small and smooth, the part that you initially insert is pretty sharp, which did hurt a bit going in. The solution was not to push it through but to gently massage the back of the piercing so the hole worked it’s way around the tip instead of the other way around. However, these will be perfect if I ever need to repierce again!
I had been looking for a pair if earring to wear constantly after piercing my ears a couple of years ago but kept forgetting to wear earrings day to day for months. This lead to my ears hurting when i did decide to wear earrings – especially all day. These earrings are perfect for this and I don’t even notice i’m wearing them even when sleeping. I like the size of the hopes which small and subtle but do hang about 5mm below my earlobe. They make great earrings to wear day to day, and for work, as a placeholder for when I do decide to wear earrings. The only negative i have, is that due to the obvious curve of the hoop, they are a little tricky to get in if you aren’t used to wearing that style.
