iDsonix 20Gbps USB C to USB C Cable (1m)
The iDsonix cable come packed in a smart colour printed cardboard sleeve with pull-out drawer. The cable is inside the drawer with a leather strap presumably to hold it securely to something nearby.
The cable seems well made, it has metal shells on the connectors and rubber strain relief gaiters and the cable has a nylon braid covering. One end of the cable has a removable USB C to USB A converter which is captive to avoid it being lost.
I have been using the iDsonix cable for charging and for data transfer, it has worked well for both uses. It’s primarily use has been to connect an external USB M.2 SSD to hold data backups and transfer files to another computer for which it performs satisfactorily.
The iDsonix cable works well and the price is quite reasonable and I am happy to recommend it.
This supports rapid charging for a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and more. I have used this cable to charge my MacBook Pro, and it has consistently provided quick and efficient power delivery, significantly reducing charging times which is one of the great features I admire about this cable.
it is perfect for transferring large files, streaming high-resolution content, or connecting to external displays. I have successfully connected my MacBook Pro to an 8K monitor using this cable, and the visual quality and smoothness were impressive.
The cable is constructed with high-quality materials that feel sturdy and long-lasting.
Overall I am happy to say that it’s a reliable cable to transfer data fast and satisfied with the performance of this cable.
Recommended.
is IDSONIX SMART INTERACTIVE 4K60HZ USB C Cable comes in handy in many ways, as it allows me to easily connect to my Macbook to my TV for a larger screen view with a 20Gbps ultra-super-speed data transfer to a clear 4K resolution. I am also able to fast charge my Type C or A port devices with the intelligently identified currents without worry or hesitation. I can transfer files at a fast and stable pace, which is great for me as I am always posting things online or sending files to friends and family. I find the cable itself to be quite bendable and durable, so it doesn’t damage easily. Overall, I am impressed and would definitely recommend.
I needed this after being given a new work laptop without USB C ports, but all my peripheral devices are from USB C. This cable is handy for its two in one function, making it easily portable and really handy for on the go.
After a month of use there’s no wear or tear and the cable work consistently and perfectly.
High specification USB cable beautifully presented in a plastic tray when you remove the cover. No Velcro cable tidy for this cable. I can’t tell if it is faux leather or not. Even this addition to the box looks classy. The user manual is small but perfectly readable.
The cable has USB-A or USB-C at one end, USB-C at the other, and is braided for strength. This cable has a form of braiding I haven’t encountered before. It looks lovely.
Often you can buy a USB cable designed either for power transfer or data transfer. This one performs both tasks with ease. This cable does exactly what it says on the box. Whilst we’ve been using, it has performed superbly.
An excellent USB “A” to USB “A”/”C” cable. With two-in-one convenience, it is tough and durable and made from premium materials. Superb performance and speed. It really looks the part too, with durable braded cable and a real leather tie strap. The chunky plug cases make it easy to grip and the captive type “A” to type “C” adaptor makes it very versatile.
No longer do I need to trundle along with multiple plugs and cables for the phone and the iPad – this deivce ensures you are covered both ways. Well made, durable materials and works perfectly. Would definitely recommend to anyone with multiple devices with different charging mechanisms.
This USB cable seems high end, with good braiding, implying strength, the connectors are solid, there is an adapter to convert one end to USB A (attached with a small length of plastic), plus there’s even a cable tidy strap with a fastener. It’s quite well thought out and works well, charging laptops and for data transfer, limited only by the speeds of the devices I have available. This is all reflected in the price of course, but if you want a USB cable that’s a cut above, this fits the bill.
The fast charging capability of this USB C cable is impressive. It delivers a high power output of up to 5A, allowing me to charge my USB-C devices quickly and efficiently. I no longer have to wait long for my devices to charge.
If you are looking for a USB-C cable to take with you on the go or when travelling, this is a great option.
I ordered the 2m cable which is the perfect length for using your device whilst it is connected to the cable. The cable is USB-C to USB-C but has a USB-A adapter on one end which is very handy, especially if there are only USB-A power ports around.
The cable is braided and feels very sturdy. It also has a nice leather clasp thing that you can use to hold the cable together making it even more convenient to travel with as it doesn’t get all tangled in your bag.
Overall, I would definitely recommend however it is a bit expensive.
A quality cable offering a mid-high tier of performance.
20Gbps and 100W charging is functionally useful, and will cover most peoples needs for speed.
Faster, fitter, cables exist, with 240W and 40Gpbs theoretical maximum speed, but your device has to support these.
At 2M actual speed may drop off, that’s not unusual with a longer cable, however the extra length is very useful.
Price point for these metrics is then reasonable at 14 per metre at time of review.
The adaptor to USB A from C is useful, but the blue colour suggests this is USB 3.0 not 3.1 / 3.2 which would be necessary to get the 20Gbs transfer speeds, but the description suggests it is 3.1 as the transfer speed is a theoretical 10Gbps, which a quick file transfer test I just completed supports.
Negatives are the usual for these higher end USB C cables, the cable has more wires, its then thicker and stiffer, but in this respect this cable is no different to any other high end cable I have tried.
I do think the Nylon wrap to the cable is on the rough side however.
The USB C at the “adapter” end is a bit larger than standalone USB C, if you intend to link USB C devices together that make be an issue, I found it okay in PC and my adaptor – both had a good contact.
Presentation is very good, and the leatherette cable tie is highfalutin but functionally is not as quick or as compact as a velcro tie, although it ought to last longer.
Broadly pleased with this cable.
This is a great cable, but it does let itself down. You get the cable, a small leather binding strap and a simple user manual, inside a plastic tray, inside cardboard tray, inside a branded cardboard sleeve, all wrapped in plastic film.
The cable looks expensive, is a nice weight, and has a quality feel to it. It is nylon braided with reinforced, but flexible connections and decent end-caps. It is USB-C at both ends, but there is a USB-A conversion, which is tethered, so there’s little chance of losing it. I found that this versatility comes at a cost, as the tether strip that holds the detached USB-A gets in the way of making a decent connection to anything with the USB-C underneath, to the point where it just falls out of the port. If I just want to run USB-A and USB-C, the connections are good, and the cable works brilliantly, with the regular safety features, intelligent charging, and excellent fast charging.
The leather binding strap is a bonus. The usual hook and loop fastenings are ok, but it doesn’t take long for them to get full of fluff and just look tatty: this works well and looks very professional in the office.
At the time of writing this review, the cost is 29.00, and given that significant connectivity issue on something that’s supposed to be a selling point, it’s just not worth the additional money.
This is really good quality, robust and seems durable also. Easy to use and remove. The price is a bit expensive for me.
This is a high-quality USB-C cable that offers fast charging and data transfer capabilities. The cable is capable of supporting 4K60Hz video resolution and has a transfer speed of up to 20Gbps. It also comes with a USB-A adapter, which makes it compatible with a variety of devices. The 5A 100W charging capacity ensures that it can charge devices quickly and efficiently. Additionally, the mesh braided design provides durability and helps to prevent tangling. Overall, if you’re looking for a reliable USB-C cable for fast charging and data transfer, this could be a good option to consider.
This cable is USB C plugs on both ends but has on one end a loose USB A plug too, hold by a small short plastic strip. This strip can be a bit in the way at some phone casings, so maybe just turn the cable round.
PD 100 and 40GB is a good spec, although not the highest, the development is happening in steps of months rather than years.
Braided looking nearly like metal, thick and not light, but likely lasting. The capability of the cable is printed on, love that. But they had also space to put 8K 60Hz on, although its not a HDMI cable, but are there now phones/PCs sending video like that via USB C to monitors (development goes too fast to keep up)?
In the box is also a leather strap. That’s puzzling me, makes no sense at all. A simple small velcro strap is not only much cheaper but also much more functional, I wasted tem minutes to make sense of that holding my cable. So if I find no other use I wasted also some money on it.
Inside the paper box is a plasic tray only 5mm smaller than the paper box, totally obsolete, another wasted money.
That cable is not cheap, but compared to the spec maybe what it is currently. I cannot test these high end specs, no matching computers yet, but looking ahead.
It’s hard not to brush past the price of the IDSONIX SMART INTERACTIVE USB C cable. Mine is a 50cm version; and its perfect for connecting external drives; and when you do it performs nicely. The Blackmagic disk speed test rates it at 769.9 MB/s Write and 719MB/s read on my WD Blue M2 SSD. The cable has a very fine woven mesh wrapped around it; and the connectors have high quality strain relief. The connectors are in good metal wraps; and there is a built in USB-A converter on end. This is retained by a piece of rubber that squishes flat to let you use the connector. Inside the box you also get a leather cable retention to keep things tangle free in your bag.
The short length is perfect for using with external drives; but if you are close enough to your screen it will drive a monitor; and support pass back power from the monitor to your laptop.
It is an expensive cable; but it will work with USB-A (3) and USB-C devices. Unlike the cheapest cables it truly does it all; high resolution video, charging, and high-speed data transfer.
Very solid thick braided cable with decent connectors, even comes with a leather cable strap. The usbA connectors pulls off to show the usbC but still remains attached to the lead, so there is no chance of losing it. Good fit on my macbook with no movement of the connectors. I can use this in a standard usbA socket when necessary.
It is quality but at a very high price.
As a robustly-made charging and data lead, this works well.
The way the USB A adapter is attached to the USB plug isn’t ideal though as, unless you really jam the USB C plug in tightly, the little attaching cable can prevent the plug from being pushed in fully (see photo).
Came grossly overpacked, with a plastic and cardboard presentation case and an unnecessary leatherette strap.
Seems a bit overpriced.
It’s good to have a converter on a cable as we still have too many options. This does it well but the converter is on a slightly too short a connecting strip, it makes it a bit difficult to take it off to connect the native usb c. Once connected, it is excellent, fast speed and great charge through. Overall, 4 stars as it is a very well made cable but the converter wants a longer connection strip.
This is probably better on computers to view upto 4k Display, for charging on phone/tablet, I had some issues because, the width of the usb-c ports are few mm too wide and are obstructed from entering my phone and tablet ports, because the case over it is too deep around the power connection. If you just want to charge your phone and tablets I’d look for another cable because this one although very high quality just may not fit right unless you take your phone/tablet cases off just to charge it.
The cable itself is a bit stiff too, I prefer more flimsy finding the right balance between shielding and flimsy. On the plus side, this has amazing shielding and if you bend it it typically stays where you bent it. It’s hard to destroy this cable, comes with usb-a adapter built in, and a cable laynard made into what looks like leather/faux with buttons on. I would prefer that white or black not brown though, but used it to hang it on a hook and tie up the cable neatly. I would have been more impressed with this cable if it came with a mini hdmi to a normal hdmi port so I can plug it into my t.v. and usb-c for power supply.
It’s decent cable, probably indestructible just not my favourite cable I have used. This cable can be used to charge usb-c upto 100 watts, transmit data, from phone to computer and the like, and to display computer to TV/monitor upto 4k display. If you have a good open case around charge ports, over your mobile devices and tablets, this will fit fine. I don’t have the equipment to test the speed if it’s 20gbps but have not had any issues, aside from not plugging into my phone and tablet due to the devices external casing. It worked fine when I took the casing off my phone.
