Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to empty my hot tub. All of the downpipes go straight into the ground, I have no grated drains to syphon the water into and there is too much water to just empty it out onto the grass. I attached a bit of hose and hooked it through the window. The pressure that the water came out at was unbelievable. The hot tub, other than the very last dregs was empty in no time. Powerful bit of kit. Money well spent.

Bought for those rare days we have sunshine, to fill the water butt instead of leaving the bath water go down the drain, works fab not too noisy and the length of the cable is long

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this to empty a swimming pool (~18000 litres) and it did it in about 3 hours, going 30m up a hill, for a total head height of about 6 metres, through a 1 1/2 – 2 inch lay flat hose. More expensive long term pumps will cost you triple the price, but this worked fine for my specific need.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe wife loves her ‘spa’ in the garden, and a while ago it took me a whole day to empty the water out of it, using buckets, as the “pipe/gravity” method, just would not work. This water pump saved my sanity, you simply immerge it into the pool, plug it in (very carefully), and the water disperses within minutes, even from a massive ‘spa’. Using a long hose pipe, i was able to direct all the water into a grid. Just the job. Why did I not think about this ages ago. Thank you to the manufacturers for such a great product.

Purchased to speed up the emptying of our hot tub when a water change is required, this has been money well spent. Quality product at a price far lower than more well-known brands.

I’ve had it for several weeks, lots of use as I’m a window cleaner and it’s worked fine so far (touch wood)
It’s nice and quiet and very good flow rate.Very reasonable price. If I get one year out of it I’ll be very happy.
    Would recommend.

Although it is still early days so far so good – the pump seems to be working very well and is doing exactly what I needed it for. i.e. to transfer rainwater from an under ground tank

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt was bought to empty a hot tub and it did the job very well. It did exactly as it said and left a little in the bottom but that was fine to clear out given the time I saved sending the water to a waste drain it worked well.

5.0 out of 5 stars It did the job well

Purchased this after we had a very close call some months ago as a prevention, or at least to delay and give us time to prepare for the inevitable. Have only tested but am very pleased so far – I also purchased a high capacity flat hose to make sure the water went away. Fingers crossed I never have to use it properly, but will have confidence this will perform if I do.

Worked absolutely fine take a tip from me I bought a 1 inch lay flat hose , it did the trick however a 2inch one would of been better. My Hot tub was emptied within 15 minutes which is four times as fast than using a hosepipe, hope this helps . ps Well worth it .

I was skeptical about the likely efficiency of this pump, as one sees negative reviews relating to water pumps in general. However, it worked a treat emptying a ‘very’ large paddling pool (2800 litres) ready for dismantling. I bought a 20m x 25mm diameter flat hose to fit to the pump and stretched the full length of the hose up the garden (a rise of approximately 2.5m above the base of the pool). It took approx 20 minutes (two 10 minute sessions with a ten-minute break to let the pump cool down) to draw down approx 90% of the water. The remaining water in the pool was removed using a container. Some leaf debris was left trapped in the pump but this was easily removed following guidance in the instruction leaflet. The pump is now cleaned and stored for use next year. A very satisfied customer.

Watering pot plants from a rainwater butt, easy to setup, luckily enough I had some fittings from a watering system I had installed and was able to make a connection from the pump to my watering system.

Pump used for waterbutt. Not as powerfull as the reviews led me to believe. To use with a “normal hose” and hozelock connection you need a 33mm Hozelock or Gardiner adaptor (Note this is 1 1/4″ not 1″ and suggested).
UPDATE: Really is very poor flow, can’t see how this could lift water to 5m (the hieght of guttering on normal house). Takes 15-20mins to empty normal water butt.

This a great pump works really well I use it to empty my laze spa and it cleared the water in minutes (tip though I used a flat bit of rubber to place the pump on as it sucks the hot tub floor up and blocks the turbine stopping the pump if I didn’t but once I placed it on the rubber mat it worked really well

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWow… so I went for the most powerful version (750w) and boy did it empty my hot tub… don’t blink or you’ll miss it.
I bought a 1.25″ flat hose and clips from a local tools supplier.
The only issue I had was that the drain couldn’t cope with the volume of water and so I would probably be better with a 1″ flat hose to reduce the flow of water or perhaps I should have bought the less powerful model… Tim the Tool man Taylor would have been proud though.
Anyway… well impressed with my new piece of kit.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is quite slow but I think they all are as it is a domestic not industrial device. I use it to empty the hot tub. Thanks to the auto cut off I just leave it running. Good instructions.
