I have found you can get low cost water 2 litre bottles and they fit two to each sandbag. This means I can store the empty bags easily as I only use once or twice per year. Sand is 50% heavier than water so it would be more stable with sand (6kg vs 4kg). I didn’t use them in very windy weather and the water filled solution was fine.
I bought these to weigh down my new gazebo, they did the job bery well.
These seem pretty good and should perform adequately well (time will tell).
I ordered them using Amazon Prime and they arrived the next day – great!
Unfortunately, one of the four was supplied without the all-important stopper rendering it useless – I have contacted the supplier directly (as recommended by Amazon) and I hope they will send a complete (with stopper) replacement for the faulty one without delay.
Update*: As the supplier didn’t even have the courtesy to respond, this set has been returned for a refund.
I found another (identical) set on Amazon supplied by MasterCanopy – they’re cheaper and their quality control seems a bit more rigorous!
These were the perfect choice for my new gazebo in a windy coastal location.
So easy to fill with water providing very sturdy weights for the gazebo.
I have not had any issues with leaking and happy with purchase.
Added a 2ltr bottle of water in each pouch and works great on each leg of our gazebo
I ordered these to hold a swing seat down, was unsure if they would work but they fit perfectly over the frame, like saddlebags. Have filled with sand and the velcro seal is a good tight seal, no sand falling out.
They are lightweight and when filled with water they are heavy. I brought them to keep my plastic green house from blowing over and they are doing the job….
After years of listening to our swing chair being lifted by the wind found these….. picture is now so have been in situ for the whole winter….no movement. No leaks. Great if can’t carry or lift as can fill easily in place you need them secure fastenings…..
Holds about 35kg in cat litter. Very good and simple to use
Filled them with sand and they held my gazebo down on a windy day when I couldn’t peg it down. Came really quickly and a nice price too.
Four bags divided into two sections, you will need two 25kg sand bags to fill them ,the bags are good and solid and they stop your garden furniture dancing around the garden, Happy days.
Having watched my neighbour’s trampoline fly away in last winters strong winds, and watching mine relocate itself this year, these suddenly seemed a good idea. I bought two packs of four, one for each leg post, and filled them 90% full (so they don’t split open if they freeze).
I can no longer move the trampoline so if the wind can, frankly, it deserves the win. It’s bloody heavy now.
I was looking for something to hold down our popup goals when we train on artificial turf. Purpose made bags are expensive for what they are so was looking for a cheaper alternative. It wasn’t clear from the description what these were like but thought for 10 it was worth a shot although they seemed a little bit big for our needs. I was surprised to find that they were absolutely perfect!
The bags are made of thick material and unlikely to wear too quickly. What isn’t clear is that they are actually constructed as a big square bag sewn down the middle effectively making two pockets. The whole bag would be too big for us so I filled just one side with sand creating a 3kg weight. I can then either attach the popup goal to it using the velcro straps or place a bag across the corner of the goal which I found to be the best option. I’ve since ordered another set so we have 4 goals in use.
