I bought this as a wire stripper and crimper, stripping is grand crimper isn’t, would be better to have a separate crimping tool. It’s heavy enough so feels robust and durable

Only used a handful of times but found it easy to use. Easy to hold and the device works perfectly as it should.
Good solid price at 11.99 and definitely recommended for the toolbox.
Very pleased with it and will come in very handy in future.

Does what it states. It strips wires.

Fairly sturdy for larger cables so can’t see an issue there. For standard wiring and lighting cables this is fine and does what it is supposed to.

    Good product for the price.

At 9.99 this is great value for money, and a handy tool to have.

It’s better than the ones that you get in most tool boxes and does a much better job and is far more durable.
It cuts, crimps, and strips wires with reasonable ease compared to some.

    highly recommended for a diy’er.

My husband was delighted with these. He’s found them all very useful when undertaking electrical works on our cottage. Nicely boxed, with a clear top, so you can see what’s inside

It’s really solid. It’s really well made. And I now look forward to needing to strip wires, as this makes it absolutely effortless. Cuts, strips and crimps. But wire stripping is the best. One squeeze of the handles and it grabs the wire (at a length of your choosing), delicately cuts the sleeving and then smoothly pulls it off the wire. A moment of beauty.

Very reasonably priced for the build quality.

To be clear, I’m only a DIY ‘competent’ level for electrical work, so please don’t take my review/ opinion as that of a qualified jobber electrician…!

So firstly, this unit is solid. It is built well, and has some great little subtle features that make it feel premium – and certainly looks/ feels/ performs like it costs more than 9.99 (price at the time of this review).

The three key actions that this performs: Cut, strip, and crimp, are all performed solidly and positively – and with relatively little effort. As my title of this review suggests – I believe this single tool could replace my old trusty wire cutters, my very much home DIY cheapo wire stripper, and a set of crimpers I inherited from my dad about 30 years back.

So I’m glad to say, fitting an outdoor light which required cutting/ stripping/ crimping was a good test of this tool. I’d usually of used my faithful, grubby old hand-me-downs, but the Airaj Pro was my first choice.

    Wire cutting:
In contrast to my old pliers style wire cutters, the Airaj Pro was a lot more bulky, and in all honesty, although it cut the wires just fine, it certainly wasn’t as easy or nimble. This for me was a weak point – given the tight working conditions I was in (there was only finite room available/ wire length, I resorted back to the trusty old wire cutters.

    Stripping:
This is where things are better… my old plastic rotary stripper is cumbersome, and needs a lot of free space and set-up to get the stripping right… so many times I’ve maladjusted and cut/ scored the wires as well as the sheathing… but the Airaj Pro was spot on. (I had practiced the set-up with some old mains cables before hand to get a feel for the adjustments.) Here, the new tool wins over the old tool.
Stripping the outer sheath and the three inners on both the ridgid “flat grey” ring main wire, and the thinner 3-core cable on the light unit were quick, simple, and accurate.

    Crimping:
To be totally honest, for this project I didn’t NEED to crimp… I was intending using standard clip style connector blocks, but I thought I’d give it a try with some crimp butt connectors to try out the unit.
Lo and behold, this was a breeze. A single crimp was enough, and the joints seemed solid. Again the only complaint here as opposed to my antique crimper is that the Airaj Pro is a little more bulky where space is tight, but everything worked as expected.

    Overall:
I really love this device. Perhaps my confined space test wasn’t 100% fair, but for less than 10 the unit is neat, sturdy, and does what it sets out to do.
I stated I’m nothing more than a DIY-er, but this tool certainly made me feel I was doing a better job!
    Recommended.

At 9.99 this is a very handy tool to have. I know from experience that if a cable isn’t stripped properly and the wire under its accidently damaged then this can cause electrical issues and over heating of a cable so this can help to avoid this at the most. It’s better than the ones that you get in most tool boxes and does a much better job and is far more durable. It cuts, crimps, and strips wires with reasonable ease compared to some. Would recommend these for value and durability and the job it does.

This is a nicely built stripper, the action is decent, on a metal built body

Its a crimper, cutter and stripper all in one place, fairly easy to use, although the stripper does take time to get used to.

Still a handy item to have in your bag

These wire strippers are by no means meant for industrial use but they are ideal for a home tool box and for the money there is a lot of tool here. Well made and seems durable enough for the simple electrical job, they go straight into my tool box.

I am not an electrician but I understand the worth of a tool like this and how simple it makes a job when you have the correct tool. Rewiring a plug is very much a thing of the past with moulded plugs but you just never know when this type of tool is required.

These items are ok for DIY use I suspect, but are a bit of a faff when compared to the decent branded strippers I use regularly for work.

There’s a rumour plodding around that all these items are essentially the same but just rebranded I can now confirm this is not the case!

this is really tight when inserting a standard 3 core cable since making that little video I tried the 5 core (well, 4 core and earth) we use to wire thermostats and there is absolutely no chance of that cable (0.75) being inserted into the cutter. My usual wire stripper (which only costs about 15 on amazon) strips it with ease.

These would be ok for light DIY use and, whilst they feel durable and well made they are certainly a step down from, say, the stanley ones I am used to.

I hope you find this review helpful.

I like that these have a little plastic depth stop which I can adjust to be between 5mm(min) and 16mm(max). This allows me to set the length of wire I want to strip and then I can use the depth stop to strip multiple wires to the same length. There is also a small adjustment knob on the front of the wire strippers to adjust the grip on the wire. This allows me to adjust the grip depending on the thickness of the wire so I cut the insulation of the wire and i dont cut through the inner core.

I also like that it has wire cutters between the handles, it has an insulated crimper and it has 6 different crimper sizes for non insulated crimps. It has sections for 12-10, 4-6, 16-14, 1.5-2.5, 22-18, 0.5-1 non insulated crimps which I haven’t used yet but I am sure they will be useful at some point.

Overall I really like this tool as it works well and I no longer have to carry around wire cutters or crimpers as it’s all built into this one tool.

I used this product to strip speaker and parking sensors cables. I’m very impressed with how easy is to strip and chimp the cables. It comes without instructions so you need to know how to use it or read the description. The product works perfectly and comes at a really affordable price.

Very happy with the product. Worth every penny.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m hopeless at stripping cables so this tool has been a very welcome addition to my tool box.
It strips thin cables very effectively, you’ll still be nest using another tool for thick outer sheathing such as 3 core mains cable.

A little adjustment is needed as you go from one size of wire to another but the adjustment is very quick and easy to do.

The cutter works well and the crimper is okay but not the best.

I asked the engineers at work to see what they thought and they confirmed my impressions. It’s very effective and perfect for some DIY at home.
It’s a little fiddly and slow for professionals.

At under tenner it offers excellent value for money

I hope you find my review helpful.

I ordered these for my partner, as he has been working his way around and replacing light fittings/sockets. He said these are great for smaller thinner wires, as the spring mechanism means not too much pressure is applied, however he said he struggled with wires that have a thicker coating

These wire strippers are great for the price they have a good range of sizes the cable they can strip, as well as cut, & crimp. Although the striping isn’t as smooth as my other set, it certainly gets the job done for most sizes. Its doesnt strip wire on the larger ends of the scale, but thats to be expected at this price range. The handle is made from hard plastic, with a hardened rubber grip on the outside. They are a decent size, and feel robust enough to last a number of years.
At the time of writing they are 9.99 at this price they are great value for money.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great set of strippers that are reasonably priced.

As the title says, they’re good but it might take a while to get used to them and the micro adjustments you can make.
Sometimes I would tear the copper in the wire and the adjustable knob needed tweaking just a little bit more.
The pair I received absolutely can act like wire cutters too. The jaws close fully like they should.
The crimping feature isn’t something I personally use too much but it seems to do what it should here too.
Quality feels good and the price is competitive, there’s not much to really complain about here.
They are fit for use but the finessing it takes with the knob can make doing jobs where there’s not much wire you can waste a bit tense. If you get it wrong, they can cut through the copper inside.

This wire stripper set came nicely packaged in a plastic case which helps keep everything together. This case is perfect for storing all the bits in however it is made of what feels like fairly cheap plastic so may not be the best place to keep it if it is likely to get thrown around or crushed a lot.
The box has a nice big gap in the middle which the stripper tool itself slides into nicely. It also has individual compartments for the different crimps however mine came with a lot of the crimps muddled up and some just rolling around in the box, not in a compartment at all.

The stripper and crimping tool is all built into one tool which feels very high quality. There are nice rubber grips on the handles which are very long to give you a lot of leverage making squeezing the crimps much easier.

The wire stripper function works perfectly. I have tried it on various wires going from 10 AWG to 20 AWG and they all stripped perfectly without even having to adjust the dial which increases or decreases the strength. Unlike my previous wire cutters, these don’t seem to cut any of the strands of wire inside and if they do it is only a very small amount.

Overall, I would very much recommend this wire stripper set.

Super useful wire stripper for every day tasks. It is either for professional trader and complete beginner, DIY. Very easy to use and save lots of time. It does strip cables in matter of seconds without risking of cutting cable or ripping it off.

Wire stripper feels very solid and durable in hand. It has nice grip thanks to rubber handles. It is fully adjustable depending on thickness of the cable, it has tool to adjust length too. Multifunctional thanks to wire cutting part as well terminal crimper build into handles. Whole unit arrived with many terminals to use in nicely packed box. It have issue with compartments for terminals, they are not fully extended to lid so in result they all over the place but not big deal. Easy to find what you want and doesn’t affect usability. Very pleased with this unit.

This is an automatic wire stripper device for the next generation!
It comes in a storage box with very nearly 200 assorted crimp connectors made for an assortment of different gauge wires.
It is a well made product and far superior to my old wire strippers that were just a flat piece of metal in a design like a pair of pliers.
I had to nip the wire with the teeth and pull it away from the wire to remove the plastic sheath.
This is so much easier to use, not only does it strip the wire it removes the plastic sheath and gets a consistent length every time!
All you have to do is put the wire in the end and squeeze the handle!
Which has been thoughtfully designed to be easy to hold and not slip in your hand!
This can easily be adjusted for different thicknesses of cable and can even cope with flat wire, even better the length of the exposed wire can also be adjusted.
Further down the handle there is the crimping tool, put your exposed wire into one of the provided fitings and crimp it in the section with the same colour, job done!
I like this tool a lot and am happy to recommend it!
    Happy to help.

The Crimper itslef is great, easy to use, comfy to grip, strips and cuts well and crimps neatly.
The crimps themselve are a little cheap, but they do the job. |Nice range of sizes in the set, in a nice sturdy box.

I’ve been after a set of these for a long time now. My old, plastic ones finally gave up on me. I was lucky enough to find these through vine, and they’re prefect for my level of use.

Solidly constructed, simple to adjust, and easy to use. You can’t go wrong. They do exactly what they promise and I’m happy to recommend them to others. Excellent.

I always try to write an honest and unbiased review of all the products I order. My reviews are only my opinion, of course, but I hope they help.

These do the intended job pretty well. I do wish I’d bought some sooner as I had to rewire a lot of my house and stripping wires without one I find time consuming and annoying. This makes easy work of it. Can also be used for crimping and cutting. At 19.99 currently it is not the cheapest.. There are better priced ones on the market but this isn’t bad. It comes with various sizes of crimp connectors too.

In the past, I have used an old-style rubbish stripper that cuts the wire off completely by accident, and you have to remove the sheath, which was often not cut through properly.
This wire cutter is amazing and does it all automatically. With this, wire cutting is effortless and stripping is as easy as putting it in and squeezing. What a wonderful product! There is no fiddling around and I can’t figure out why I didn’t get one earlier.
You can adjust the wire length to strip and the strength.
It comes in a nice case that contains 198 pieces for crimping. The crimping also worked great.
This was unbelievably helpful when I installed a reversing camera on a car. I am very happy with these wire cutters.

These automatic wire strippers are absolutely fantastic!! I wish i would have found/purchased these a long time ago!

The strippers come in a nice plastic case to keep them safe. Also in the case are 198 various size male and female crimp connectors in red and blue. The actual stripper tool feels premium and very well made. It’s got quite a decent weight to it. You can see in my video review how easy it was to perfectly strip some copper bell wire – it was quick and effortless. I normally result to using either my teeth or a blade for thicker sheaths, this little tool makes very light work of stripping back wires and does a very neat job of it too! There is only one adjustment needed to the stripping and that is setting the length of the amount of sheath you want stripped – the rest is automatic, including the depth and gauge of the wire itself. Absolutely brilliant!

Incorporated in the tool is the crimping section, this is as easy as placing in your connector & wire and squeezing the handle. Great results when i tried this – nice secure connection. Wire cutters are also built into the design of the stripper.

I am super impressed with this tool and it makes and excellent additional to my toolbox.

If you don’t have one of these auto wire strippers then i can’t recommend this little guy enough! Get one!

I hope that you found my review helpful.

Works though a tad fiddly if not used to the weight.
    Clips well.
    Crimps well
Strips larger electric cables well (not keen on tiny ones)
Comes with terminals in the box for quick fitting.
Can adjust the length of the stripping and the grip on the grabber.

Can’t complain did the job and saves time.
My only complaint would be the weight ( heavier than it looks).
    But well made. Sturdy.

Better than the stripper I had at my 18th Birthday!
    Great tool!
Well made and excellent for stripping cables and wires.
My only gripe is, you have to really push a 3-core flex into it to remove the sheath but once in, it removes it flawlessly with minimal effort!
Very well made and great tool!
    Love it!
