I went from a 1440p 165hz monitor to this. Not a huge jump in refresh rate but the quality difference between the two is instantly perceived. Colour, sharpness and general quality I cannot fault. Amazing to this this is made by Dell.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI leave review very rare. In this instance just want to say that I’m extremely happy with a product.

The image is very crisp and stunning quality. 300hz works just awesome.

Enjoying every single second of using it.

Sadly my AW3423DW monitor had to be returned to Dell after 10 enjoyable months of gaming. Can someone please advise me if your AW3423DWF from Amazon came, enclosed in the box, the 3 year Dell written warranty before I buy my replacement. Thank you kindly

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGorgeous screen and picture quality, love the tiny bezel. The brand is a little too in your face but somewhat easy to ignore. Feels great for gaming and entertainment, lovely vibrant colours and calibrates really well. Even has more competitive features like a black equalizer if you’re into that sort of thing. Can’t recommend this monitor enough.

Your out of the box experience will probably be a bit underwhelming, but don’t let it get you down. One cheeky update, really easy to do, just go through the dell website and it’s a beast. 1000nits peak, decent colour accuracy out the box, good UI. fluid gaming on an ultrawode with HDR like this makes you feel you have finally arrived to the pcmr. Just remember this is an oled monitor soo comes with some compromises the main on being the four hour screen on time then a pixel refresh which takes about 8mins, it gives you an option to do it in standby but I don’t know if it’s just my unit or they all are like it but it hasn’t done it once in standby.

Excellent blacks and low light detail, stunning colours and buttery smooth gameplay. I’ve just spent a lot of money on a 4090 / 13900k system and this monitor really is the icing on the cake! It is beautiful and an absolute pleasure to play on.

Monitors Unboxed (check YouTube) have just rated this their top pick for an OLED monitor and I couldn’t agree more!

Like I say, it’s the best monitor I’ve had in 30 years of PC Gaming !!

Breathtaking image quality, buttery smooth high FPS/Hz gaming and stunning movies or media. Nice user interface. The 3440 1440p resolution requires a fairly high end GPU if you want to make the most of the 165Hz refresh rate for gaming, the ultra wide curved screen sucks you into the action like no other and for media, well cinematic barely does it justice. This Alienware AW3423DWF is as good as it’s possible to get right now, it’s QD OLED panel is quite simply outstanding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding image, immersive gaming, gorgeous design.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMain thing that I liked about the product was the hdr and brightness.
Very smooth gameplay and ran every game without any issues.
Punchy HDR and even for games that are non hdr supported. This exceeded in every aspect.
No screen tearing either or any flickering on any game/application.

Only downside I would say is the box was badly damaged and some of the cables had different packaging which made me think it wasn’t new.
Overall great display but may purchase if a newer model with same specs releases.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very bright, no thermal issues with consistent levels of brightness.

Being a oled monitor it is quite pricy however the image quality makes up for it, use it for gaming and the picture looks crystal clear and vibrant, and watching media looks just as good,
The stand the monitor comes with is sturdy and doesn’t take up much desk space
Overall it’s the best oled ultra wide you can get for your money

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBrilliant. Amazing colours, inky blacks and blinding whites. No detail crushed in dark areas. Generally amazing. Buttery smooth 165hz. Only downside is every 4 hours of use you are prompted to do a panel refresh which makes the screen black for 6-8 mins. However if you don’t want to do that you can tell the monitor to do the panel refresh when it goes into standby

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAwesome monitor – a massive upgrade over my previous gigabyte ultrawide (also 3440×1440, but 144Hz).

I can’t comment on burn in yet, as I’ve only had it for a month. There is a pop up after 4 hour of use (cumulative), which asks you to refresh the screen (takes 6-8 mins). You can set it to do this automatically when you turn the display off.

Per pixel dimming is now a must for me – unparalleled image in my opinion.

I haven’t noticed any text fringing either (windows 11 fresh install with no workaround tweaks).

    Would highly recommend, 5/5

I picked up this deal from Amazon Warehouse on a used item and was so super pleased with this AW2723DF instead of the AW2721D. Completely no issues with item itself just the packaging was dented.

The monitor has a really solid build with a very high quality stand, although I have it on my dual monitor arms. The tiny thin bezel is fantastic and of course the 280hz OC refresh rate is incredible with the screen and colours looking great.

It isn’t 4K and it isn’t OLED but I didn’t want to spend the crazy money for those features when this QHD 1440p option is really fantastic! I think it will last a very long time as the build quality feels great. Would definitely recommend checking out Amazon warehouse for more bargains

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersJust got this monitor and it looks great. Works like a dream and the colours are amazing but it would not go to the max ref rate of 280Hz for some reason. I can see the option in Windows and Nvidia CP but whet I try to crank it up the monitor just turns black and nothing happens until I revert back to 240Hz.
Wondering if anyone else had this problem and how was it resolved?

Very good gaming monitor! The black point is the best I have ever seen due to the OLED, and the ultrawide resolution and high refresh rate make for a completely new kind of gaming experience. Going from a 1080p 60fps LCD screen, this is a huge step up for me, but it was well worth it.

What a great upgrade from an old cheap AOC G2460PF 144hz TN Panel, first time owning a 2k monitor and I am very pleased with the performance, colour, gamma. Can’t see any ghosting at all on the motion test.

Things that I may dislike is a bit of a blacklight bleed at the bottom corners of the screen but it’s not really noticeable to my side vision unless you really stare at it, very visible through the camera. Also would like to mention that you might want to position your monitor away from the windows, so that the light doesn’t reflect to the screen, as it can be slightly annoying due to the slight glares from natural lighting.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAfter reading many reviews and watching various YouTube videos showcasing this monitor, I finally took the plunge. I upgraded from an Asus PG348Q IPS ultrawide and this is a massive upgrade. I have an RTX 4090 gpu and I feel this is a match made in heaven!! High frame rates and next to zero input lag are the obvious improvements going to oled and this panel is absolutely gorgeous to game with. Perfect blacks and incredible colour space really immerse you in the games. I’m totally hooked now on going through my library and seeing the improvements in my titles!

Despite some new pretenders to the throne becoming available including one from Alienware themselves this is still the king for those with Nvidia graphics cards, glossy screen that pops, perfect PPI and the most stunningly vibrant OLED screen I’ve ever seen at this size.

    Cannot fault it, basically perfect.

That’s what she said. No actually the monitor is really nice, I read some reviews about the text being harder to read and see or so, but I don’t see the difference from my other monitors. The colors are nice, also the pixel refresh function actually nice not only for the monitor but also for me after 4 hours I get reminded to do a break. The seller done everything for me DDP and stuff the monitor was shipped to Lithuania, a few days delay in the customs but got it and now enjoying it. 9.5/10

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBy far the superior panel, if you are looking for an HDR experience. My biggest concern buying this was the G-Sync Module fan that a lot of people are talking about being noisy. I’ve compared both side by side and I cannot tell the difference. You’ll also get the latest firmware (M0B103) which fixes the OLED Pixel Refresh prompt.

Stunng monitor. The best I’ve seen to-date. Blacks are deep and rich and highlights are amazing. By far hands down best in market for picture and display quality. I was initially worried about text quality, fan noise and burn in. The text is crisp and clean, no need to run the 3rd party cleartyoe tall. Fan noise? What noise, completely silent! Burn in… With the new tools that maintain the screen and the 3 year burn in warranty… Non issue, I’m very comfortable leaving the screen on windows while working for long hours, no hint of an issue.

Best gaming monitor for deep rich blacks and you won’t be unhappy. Every time I boot a game up I get a big grin, just buy it now.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersPeople aren’t lying when they call this a god tier monitor! I got this from amazon warehouse at nearly half the retail value and it feels like a steal at that price.

Screen : the qd oled display is stunning! The inky blacks are next level compared to any other monitor or even tv i’ve seen and the HDR is amazing in games that implement it properly. It has a bit of a glossy finish but unless you have light facing it like a lamp pointed towards it or a window directly behind you then you won’t notice it.

Text clarity : a lot of people have complained about fringing and text not being that clear i disagree mine is completely fine if you press your face up to it you may see something i can’t but sat at a normal distance it’s perfectly clear.

Settings : the built in menu let’s you alter colour set up, hdr etc it’s easy to use and i’ve had no issues using it.

Build quality : first off i never used the stand that comes with the monitor as it was too deep and i wanted more desk space and i’m not a huge fan of white so i got a black stand for it as shown in my pictures, the actual monitor itself is well built and designed the plastic backing doesn’t feel or look cheap.

Everything about this monitor from the crazy 0.01ms response times, 175hz refresh rate to the Qd Oled panel is just perfect! I had an LG GL850 27inch 1440p 144hz monitor it was great but this is much better. Not having anything like backlight bleed is a small but important factor in getting an Oled panel.

Curve/Size : The curve isn’t aggressive i’ve never had a curved monitor didn’t think i’d be able to deal with it but you get used to it fast and at 34 inch it makes gaming super immersive! It would surprise you just how many games support ultrawide now. Watching youtube videos etc can sometimes mean letterbox style bars on the sides but that doesn’y bother me however there are extensions to crop and extend videos if you can’t deal with the bars.

Pixel refresh etc : the monitor has built in modes to prevent any kind of burn in so sometimes it will shift the screen just a nudge to prevent burn in and i have noticed it do this a few times but it’s never an issue you won’t notice it gaming or watching anything. Pixel refresh brings up a message onscreen every four hours asking you to do it you can proceed and it will turn off for around 5 minutes at wich point the power button flashes green then switches off when it’s finished so you know or you can cancel it but the best bet is to “proceed and don’t show message again” that way it only does it when you switch it off wich is far better than the warning popping up when you’re doing something. Panel refresh i’ve never done it’s apparently only needed every 1500hours and takes around 45 minutes or more at wich time the power button flashes red. It is covered for 3 years against burn in so that gives you peace of mind.

Lighting : the lighting on the back,Alienware logo, front underside and power button can all be controlled via the on screen display menu or with the alienware command centre software, i’ve found it to be subtle and it adds a nice it of backlight when i’m sat in the dark.

Final notes : I’ve covered most of my experience with this monitor so far, it’s been fun and a pleasant screen to sit at for hours on end, it’s big enough, looks beautiful and is well worth buying.

One last thing to note some people mention fan noise i heard it once or twice when i got it then i forgot it was even a thing and my pc fans are always louder so it’s another non issue.

Thanks for reading and if you buy it you won’t be dissapointed.

A slightly updated version has just released and you’ll probably want to pick that up instead for the higher frame rate on latest gen consoles, if you’re just using it for PC then not an issue. You’ll definitely want a 4k capable graphics card for this monitor as less than 4k will look like rubbish on this screens native resolution.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersBefore buying this monitor, most negative reviews I had seen online are regarding three things:

    1. The fans
    2. The text clarity
    3. The brightness

I’m someone who works from home almost every day and would be considered a heavy Gamer. I’d very often be using my PC 12+ hours per day between work and games.

I can say without a doubt that the negative reviews were at-least somewhat overblown in my opinion and for my specific unit, and I’ll quickly give my review on the three main talking points.

    1. The fans.
I can hear them, But it’s very minor. I’ve owned the monitor for almost a week now and I’ve only really heard one of the fans at night after I had been using the monitor all day (95% brightness) and I had been sitting in complete silence. If there’s any other noise in your room, outside or if you’re listening to any music at all even on low volume you would never know there was a fan in the unit. My only concern is after a year or so and dust starts to settle, you may need to get a can of air and blast in around the fans to help prevent dust from causing the fans to spin up higher/more often than they do right out the box.

    2. Text clarity
People go on about the fringing around the text. I know it’s there, I can see it up close and you can’t dispute that it exists considering it’s the physical layout of the pixels that cause this. However right out the box, this didn’t bother me one bit and its hard to even notice. I did apply some changes as suggest online to combat the effect In windows, and it did help a little but honestly I would be fine without it. Maybe in the future the pixel layout will be better accommodated. But for now most users like myself will have no issue dealing with it, it’s really not bad at all and of course when gaming it’s not a factor.

    3. The brightness
I heard many complaints about brightness, but whether using the monitor for desktop work or even gaming with HDR 400 on, the brightness is fantastic. It’s brighter than my old 1440p Dell monitor and I was expecting it to be worse from the reviews.
The only minor issue is that when using the HDR1000 mode, you do tend to notice the dimming when switching to and from bright areas. So I leave it on HDR400 to avoid this seemingly completely.

Overall absolutely happy with this and I was expecting the worst. Fantastic monitor with brilliant Colors as expected.

This monitor is very good what what it says and I sure will be recommending this to other people. And my games are extremely smoother and feel so much better to play than they’re were before for myself. The price is good for what you are getting very easy to assemble.

    The Problem

The stand takes a lot of space but if your desk is a big size or you have a monitor arm you will be fine and not be having this problem. And there is no speakers that come with it built in for this price I was very surprised but it comes with a area we’re you can plug your headphones in.
