Happy with my purchase, bought for Les Mills step and works perfectly. The edges started to unglue but this was when it was left in direct sunlight so I now store this in a cupboard and seems fine.
This is quite heavy for me to move which is a bit of a down-side. (I am a 79 year-old female). The additions to increase the level don’t stay in place as you turn it over after fitting them in underneath. I have the room to leave it in situ so not a problem. If you had to move it after use it could be. The top surface is really good non-slip but comfortable to the feet. This is very important to me as I am trying to increase balance after an injury to my left ankle & calf having a fall from a step ladder while picking pears last August. Ideally I would have prefered a shorter length step. My fault I suppose! (not choosing correctly). I do use it every morning as part of my excercise routine & will continue to do so.
As a fitness enthusiast, I decided to purchase the Amazon Basics Aerobic Step to incorporate into my at-home workouts. The wide platform and two sets of risers provided a stable and versatile option for my low-impact, fat-burning aerobic step routines. The three-step levels allowed me to increase the intensity of my workouts gradually, and the no-slip stepping surface ensured that I always felt safe and secure while exercising.
However, after several uses, I did notice that the non-slip mat on the body began to peel, which was disappointing. Despite this issue, I was satisfied with the product and found it a reliable option for my workouts. The peeling of the non-slip mat did not significantly impact the functionality of the equipment and was a minor issue that I could overlook.
Overall, I recommend the Amazon Basics Aerobic Step to anyone looking for sturdy and versatile fitness equipment to add to their home gym. Just be aware of the potential issue with the non-slip mat peeling.
Great step, I bought when it was reduced on price. Very similar to the one I use at my local gym. Long enough to do body pump. I will mainly use it for HIIT step session.
Excellent value for money. I like that it can be used at different heights and also that it is broad as well as long therefor a very safe product to use whilst step exercising.
Cheaper alternative but the bases don’t stay in when lifted so if you have to move it you need to move them separately. Otherwise a good large step. No issues with the rubber coming off like other reviews. Mine has been fine
This was highly recommended to me by my personal fitness trainer. I am confident in this step. It is important to me that I feel safe. You need plenty of space and always be careful where you put your feet and don’t go on the extra levels until you are able to do the exercises.
On the basis that every one can make mistakes, I am prepared to increase the star rating if the supplier’s customer service fixes the issue without too much hassle on our side – we will see.
They are not off to a great start as this appears to be the only way to raise the issue – there is no obvious way to get in touch with the seller.
Update 1 – Only way to get things fixed was to order a replacement and get the original picked up. For the sending back, the website instructed that it would be picked up between 8am and 8 pm the next business day and an adult should be in the house. We ensured someone was and the pick up didn’t happen until two days later. Anyway, things are moving forward. Just don’t have a step right now. We await the replacement.
Update 2 – Credit where credit is due, the replacement has 4 risers and the top looks well glued. Review up to 4 stars, but do not be surprised if you have issues.
This is a decent size, and nice and sturdy. The description says that they recommend ‘locking’ the risers into place before use, and this is misleading. The risers do not lock or click into place. Fine for using in one place, but impossible to move around as the pieces come apart which will become quite annoying for anyone who regularly has to move their step.
I have purchased two of these amazing steps one for my sister and one for myself we use them for Les Mills on Demand they are just the right size for all the programs that require these of a step especially Body pump . We have found them to be of really good quality and super comfortable to lie on for core and chest tracks
It’s the same size of the step at the gym. Sturdy& easy to store away. Adjustable height due to separate risers. Good size, quality & value for money compared to others.
Much bigger than expected a real full size step! Perfect for lockdown YouTube step classes in my living room. 2 sets of risers, not gone past one yet but feels very sturdy.
Great, was looking for a step for les mills workouts as my other was too small.. this is perfect, wide & sturdy.. ideal for step, body pump etc! Great value too.
Good size but I don’t like the way the supports move when you move the step. I’d have preferred to have them click in place.
They do stay in place when using the step, just not when you pick it up to move it and with Bodypump, I tend to have to move the step out of the way a few times, but overall its a good buy for the money.
I was a fan of step aerobics back in the 80s and wanted a piece of exercise equipment that I could use indoors and outdoors particularly during these challenging times when the streets are so busy with people taking their daily walks. Sturdy, well made and reasonably priced this is perfect – arrived quickly too!
It is more expensive than some, but it’s so easy to use, a good size and very sturdy. I don’t want to be faffing around with the step in between tracks so this is excellent. Highly recommend.
I have been after a step for doing Les Mills work outs at home, and wanted one that was similar to the type I used at the gym, however every time I looked they were really expensive and the cheaper steps available were much smaller and less sturdy looking. Then I found this step, which is perfect for what I needed and the same as the type I usually use at the gym. Great purchase and reasonable price.
