Bought these for my husband as getting hard to get hold of. They fit his multimeter which is using on a daily basis, I was unsure how good these would be and how long they would last, he is getting near a week out of multimeter which as I said is on nearly permanently at the moment due to a job he is doing. Great batteries at a great price
Unlike may rip-offs these batteries actually do have 5000mah capacity as advertised (even a bit more as tested by my battery tester). You can tell they are good capacity by weight ~81 grams each.
Highly recommended, don’t waste your money on any other brand.
I like the long intervals between recharging and also the points are long enough to connect with the positive contacts when set in a slight recess. This is vital in my musical instrument which takes eight C batteries of which many brands don’t work due to short points
Surprisingly good batteries for the money.
I’ve used this for portable test equipment (cable testers etc) so cannot vouch for their high drainage use, but for field engineers who need rechargeable pp3 batteries for portable test equipment they have lasted a long time before recharging is required.
Bought a cat Tony for the cat, if course. Was surprised to see it needed c cell batteries. I have not had them in years so of course Amazon to the rescue. Easy to find fast delivery as per. Fitted easy, yes sometimes it is like trying to fit a square leg in a round hole. Anyway they work fine last a few days before the cat got bored of the toy so I now have a set of c cell sitting around unfilled cat discovers the toy again.
I was searching for Type C batteries for my old torch, my old torch takes 4x type C batteries, I used these rechargeable’s and they work fine, right now I don’t have equipment to test out the true mah value of these batteries but have a feeling they will last in the torch a long long time. They recharged a few hours in my type C D charger. This doesn’t come with a charger so if you want to charge them you need a compatible charger for type C and D batteries.
These are much more fat than AA batteries so you need to find the correct charger that can do the voltages for type C. One thing to note Type D batteries are twice the size of type C pretty much, you get 4x type C battery cells, have no problems with this type C battery, beaucase of that it’s 5by5.
Full marks to Amazon’s incredibly speedy delivery – picked these C type batteries from my local Amazon Locker the next day! I bought these for an Akai DAB radio – but they did not work! On testing, the batteries were fully charged on arrival so I suspect my DAB is unable to handle the slight voltage difference between these rechargeables and disposable batteries (1.2v as opposed to 1.5v) – always check your product’s user manual which, obviously, I didn’t! This has never ever been a problem with any other item I’ve used in the past – but that’s life! I’ll hang on to the batteries, as there are other applications I can use them for.
I rarely write reviews, which maybe isn’t a good thing considering how much I rely on them while shopping . However, I will make a significant exception for these two products.
The 4-pack was bought at the same time as this item: Grandma Shark Kitchen Bin,Circle… https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07TCS96N2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. Basically an auto opening kitchen bin. Bought Aug 2020. Batteries inserted straight as shipped without charging. I have been waiting patiently for the bin to stop opening since then until I gave up. We are a family of 5, with Covid lockdowns we were constantly at home hence the bin has opening and closing at a significant rate. Finally decided to try out the Bonai charger I specifically bought to charge these big guns a year and a half later and there was still one bar left on the batteries when I inserted them. I have had a previous bin product which was chewing threw batteries as quickly as stuff was going into it.
I don’t like trying out unbranded stuff, and some of the reviews on both products weren’t great. On this one Amazon, a well deserved pat on the back to your battery design team. 10 stars at least. At this rate you won’t have customers coming back for more. I might update this review once the batteries have gone through another charge cycle but I might die before then. I’m 41 btw. If you hear nothing then the batteries outlived me.
I bought these after reading positive reviews that verified their capacity. First impressions were good as they were quite heavy – always a good indicator of battery capacity. On my digital scales the cells weighed about 160g each, which is about right for genuine 10,000mAh ‘D’ cells.
As they were on special offer, I bought 2 packs of 4 to meet the minimum order value for free delivery. All 8 cells were manufactured in April 2020, and they all measured between 1.275v – 1.285v.
I put them on charge to make sure they were fully charged before doing any capacity checks. The charge rate was 1 Amp & took about 2 hours to fully charge them all, so they already had something like 80% of their capacity available. Assuming they were fully charged on the manufacturing date of April 2020 before being sealed in their boxes, that’s a self-discharge rate of about 20% in 7 months.
Initial capacity checks at a calibrated 1.5 Amp constant current discharge to 1v per cell gave around 9500-9700mAh on my test equipment. This is an excellent result for a first capacity check, as NiMHs need several charge/discharge cycles to reach full rated capacity & there’s no doubt that they will reach 10000mAh after bedding-in.
With the Black Friday discount & free delivery, the total cost for 8 x genuine 10,000mAh ‘D’ cells was just 33.68. That’s astonishing value for money & I can recommend these batteries very highly. Just make sure you give them enough time to charge up properly, as 10,000mAh capacity takes a long time to fully charge.
Cheap chargers almost certainly won’t even deliver their rated charging current, and you may end up blaming the batteries when it’s your charger that’s causing the problem. Even a genuine 1Amp charger is going to take all night to recharge a completely flat cell…
