D Cell 1.5 volt batteries for all your battery electrical items in one large bulk box, works out cheaper than two or four packs and excellent batteries last a long time
Don’t expect these to last a super long time. If you’ve only got one item that nerds a D cell then get a premium battery. But if you’ve got a young kid then you’ll find yourself needing alot of these. That’s where amazon batteries shine. You get alot for your money and they last okay.
Ordered as seemed like a good quantity of batteries for the price. Have used them in a large Xmas Decoration which runs on a timer, have been using for nearly 5 days for at least 6 hours a time and no issues, lights as bright as day 1 so they don’t appear to be loosing power. I’d say great value for money as these can usually be quite hefty for only two batteries.
Replaced with Roberts Splash Mini which only downside was not rechargeable.
So I decided to try basic ordinary batteries before buying rechargeable ones…
I use the radio first thing in the mornings then every evening after work, so I’d say the radio is on a minimum of an hour a day, this is excluding every time I’m visiting the bathroom or cleaning it.
I started using the common Pound shop (or equivalent) with the Panasonic and Kodak batteries.
What follows are actual test dates.
1st set started using on 25th Jan 2019 lasted till 20th Feb 2019 (nearly a month)
2nd set started using 20th Feb 2019 lasted till 18th March 2019 (nearly a month)
I then decided to buy a box of Amazon so I’d have a supply on hand expecting 12 x batteries to last 6 months at least as the radio takes 2 x batteries.
3rd set started using on 18th March 2019 lasted till 15th July 2019 BLIMEY!!!!! that’s 4 months yeah!!!?
I’m a few weeks into the second batch and I’ll update should anything different happen.
This box of batteries is going to last me well over a year at this rate and I’m about to buy some AAA and AA Christmas lights might actually last this year! fingers crossed.
I’d certainly recommend buying these batteries and I’ll never buy Pound shops specials ever again…really VERY happy
