I got mine to take sailing. It’s perfect for that as it is very lightweight, yet strong, and infinitely foldable so easy to fit into a space in the cabin. very good. Can comment yet as to its durability really, but suvived my boat trip ok.
I bought this bag to take to a 4 day camping music festival in the UK. The thing is first of all really roomy I fit a tent in it along with a sleeping bag and all my clothes and camping bits and bobs. Upon packing it I realised with it being so full it weighs a lot which brings me to the durability of this bag. I dragged this thing across various different terrain going to and from the festival including on the way back in rainstorm due to its weight and it’s still holding strong not a tear. Last of all many useful zip pockets. Highly recommended
I needed a bag to transport a lot of clothes, some books, AND an inflatable double mattress. I really overloaded this. Then i took it on a coach trip across Europe. Fully expected it to break in some way but I held up. Excellent value for money
Always impressed with Amazon Basics. Bought this for our holiday and I’m really impressed with the quality. Thicker nylon than I was anticipating, and good solid zips and clips. Amazing for the price.
Use it on flights for longer stuff and will probably last a few years
Excellent value. It is very compact for storing away and huge for going away.
Brilliant, very spacious and light but good quality material, would recommend
I got it to store the bed clothes under the caravan seat works well good strong zippe
Absolutely huge. Has so much space which includes lots of separate pouches on the outside. Really light and good value for money.
Great bag does the job with space to spare 10/10 value for money.
good quality ,a massive bag , it carries all the things you need
Great value. I didn’t realize how big it is until I put all I needed to put in there and didn’t even use the second bag.
This packs down small, yet is plenty tough enough. I packed my folding push scooter plus some clothes and checked it as hold luggage both ways on a flight. It’s held up well so far. I was also able to pack it down small into a daysack.
This is a massive bag, not quite big enough for a body but close. It carries all my sports massage materials including three full sized pillows, three bath towels and a host 9f creams, lotions and equipment and still have plenty of room left. There is no base support, so the bag will hold and compact down really easily
When you first get it you think it’s not so big, what’s the fuss but then , when you start putting all your stuff in you realise it is very big. Just what in needed . I’m pleased with this. Very well made. I would recommend this and I’m very fussy.
Got a single memory foam topper, sleeping bag and thick feather pillow in each of these bags! Perfect storage for our camping gear. Can’t comment on durability and sturdiness as we have just started using it, but for what we are using it for it seems like it will hold up!
This is great value. Its huge it packs away. It hold tons. 4 side pocket. 1 pocket on the inside. Very strong handle & strap. Not water proof buy keeps the rain off a bit. Good for a long weekend bag. May be a short holiday. Nearly a weeks shopping. In one go
Great big bag with capacity for 23kg. Very thin material though so I wouldn’t trust it to fill to capacity
Might look flimsy but it’s very sturdy and can take a lot of beating. Used it when travelled abroad packing more than 30kg with being thrown around.
One thing to be careful with is that zipper might open by itself when moved around so make sure the two zippers are tied together.
This thing is huuuuge! It lacks any ‘solid’ panels to hold it’s shape, but once you start putting stuff in there, it is evident just how large it is. Feels a little thin but then it is a cheap bag so that is to be expected. I probably wouldn’t load it up with too much weight, but if you are looking for something to store clothes in as I was, it is ideal.
I bought this huge bag to cover a 65L rucksack for hold luggage. I thought for the price and being Basics it might be quite flimsy but it is pleasingly robust, and the full pack and extras fit well in it. It has a handle cover which helps with the weight, and there is a detachable shoulder strap but without any padding. The three pockets on the outside are zipped, and there is one small inside zipped pocket. All zips (double zip on main compartment) are better quality than expected. The double zip doesn’t have holes quite large enough to fit a small padlock through, although I think we might put a tiny tie wrap through. I can’t comment on how it survives baggage handling as we haven’t been yet. But based on how it seems now, once I’ve checked that the second backpack would fit into it (alone, not as well as!) I’ll be ordering another for that one. Really impressed.
Update: this bag withstood two flights with a 22kg load of our backpack and kit, with no trouble whatsoever – brilliant!
I was concerned about comments about the bag being flimsy in nature. I think it may give this appearance to some, because it is made of lightweight (but strong) nylon. When you look at it closely and the pressure points around handles etc, the stitching and everything is fine. It is a ‘Monster Bag’ with lots of room, ideal for any number of things and with a 20kg+ weight limit you would have to go some to fill it. To me it seems strong and durable and I think the lightweight nature of it, may give the impression of weakness. But nylon is a strong material in this usage, so don’t be put off. I am going to order another as I think they are fantastic value … just need to decide which colour next I went for the black and I might be daring and go for the red next.
Ive been using this to keep my ice hockey gear in and its been great. Its not the sturdiest, but it has a huge amount of volume that allows me to keep everything in. And despite being full to the brim, going in and out of my car boot into the rink, as well as the battering of a changing room (people walking about in skates, stuff being pulled out and stuffed back in), is still in one piece with no rips or tears.
A very cheap alternative to expensive hockey bags if youre looking for something like that.
In summary it is fine for taking 20 Kg of clothes on a coach, car or plane. It won’t stand up to a round the world trip.
I’ve used this for one plane trip so far, it is very light, it rolls up small when empty, it is also very large. It easily took 20kg of clothes and other stuff.
On the downside it is uncomfortable to carry with the thin shoulder strap.
I carried mine for about 3 miles with 20 kg in it and it made it without the stuff falling out, or the shoulder strap coming off. When I ran for a train the strap hoop started to tear so I won’t be running with it again or it’ll be on the ground.
This Large AmazonBasics Duffle Bag is a large, spacious and well-constructed holdall that should easily hold a week’s worth of gear plus some.
Measuring 82 x 43 x 43cm and offering just shy of 100 litres, it really is a generous size. The nylon canvas is of decent, thick quality and seems to be strongly stitched throughout.
As well as two carry handles (which feature a Velcro fastener to join them), it also has a detachable shoulder strap that comes with good-quality, sturdy metal clasps. The whole thing seems very strong and durable—especially for the low price.
For organizing, it has six zipped outer pockets (three per side) as well as a smaller interior pocket (also zipped) attached to the opening. The outer pockets, so you can gauge their size, easily hold a couple of paperback books upright and have a fair bit of room to spare; the inner one is just about the right size for a single paperback.
Overall it’s a great price and good quality item. As a bonus, it’s fairly lightweight and could easily be packed and taken along for extra baggage if required later.
