Easy to assemble wheels and cord storage, fast heat up, slowly cools when switched off so be aware. Great radiator for its price, ideal size for my front room (1bed flat) will probably heat whole flat as others have in past. Tiny remote but don’t think I will use that much. A longer cord would be good but that is my only criticism.
Great heater. Keeps my room toasty, which is a must because my radiators are bust and there’s a big hole where my window used to be, now taped over with cardboard. Got it for the cooler months and doing a bang up job, even fantastic for going underneath the washing maiden. I must emphasize, do not dry your clothes ON it. I have never tried it with this one but am informed from previous negative experience. Easy to assemble, toasty, and most importantly fun to use. There’s a wonderful feeling of satisfaction that only comes from being able to control your heating from a remote, and that was a huge selling point for me. It did NOT disappoint. Buy it while it’s hot.
Just got this little radiator as a supplementary heater, getting ready for winter. As I have a variable TimeOfUse electricity tariff, there are often times of the day when the Electricity is cheaper than my central-heating system, per kWh of heat energy.
Heats up fast. Noiseless. Great little remote.
However, I intended to use it with a SmartPlug to turn it ON/OFF automatically when electricity is cheap, but THIS WILL NOT WORK.
You CAN’T use a Timer-plug or SmartPlug because the radiator always starts in OFF/Standby mode when the mains supply is turn on. Regardless of the previous state (an obvious and admittedly great, safety feature)
You have to be present to hit the ON button, either on device or remote.
It has a Timer, but it’s a ‘Stay on for X remaining hours’ type.
Always turns on at ’35 C’ – which seems rather High!
Heat Output Settings: default on is H3 = 2000 watts (2 kWh)
H2 = about 1200 watts (1.2 kWh)
H1 = about 800 watts (0.8 kW)
Stay warm this winter!
It doesn’t describe all settings in booklet, but I am only heating one room and mostly leave it on eco settings. It warms room pretty quickly and keep it warm and comfortable all night.
Neat radiator, good value for the price paid. Wish they wouldn’t put digital controls on everything though. So much easier when you could just turn a dial for high or low
Fantastic value and good looking product. Easy to use. Very happy
goodheater warm up quickly and warm my room great also turn of when reach temperature and then turn back on to keep temperature what Been set .only used it on low setting does a good job
Waiting for a new boiler. This heater has saved the day. I have it in the lounge it just takes the edge of the cold. Really pleased.
We’ve had some very expensive portable radiators in the past and for this keeps up with the best of them.
Quick to heat up, no ticking sounds as it heats up…whatsoever (a claim some of our other radiators can’t make!), easy to move around, simple controls, and the remote control is the icing on the cake.
If I had one gripe (and it’s only a very minor one) I wish the thermostat would remember the last temperature it was set to. NB: It always starts at 30C.
I really do like Amazon Basics products, good quality at a fair price.
I really like the look of this unit. It’s quite generic of course, but is quite clean and simple so goes just fine anywhere. Setup is relatively simple, though be warned that some assembly is required. In use, it’s easy to set the temp and it just goes to work maintaining it. It stays warm for ages and as far as I can tell is relatively efficient in doing it.
My only gripe is that the fins are quite thin and give a pretty nasty impact if you happen to accidentally walk into it, which does not happen with more enclosed style units.
Overall, a good product. When I received mine, the price was much higher (around 100) but at it’s current price which is half that it’s good value.
Ok, I got it for my office where there is only a tiny radiator and a window that may have offered some protection from the elements in the 15th century, but has deteriorated since to the extent that it may just be a hole in the wall…a listed building, so no adjustments to that sort of things allowed. Bottom line – the central heating does nothing in tht room and I am forever looking for alternative solutions!
This is one sturdy, beast of the oil heater – does not take forever to heat up, and once it gets there, it radiates a lot of heat, a lot more than other standard oil ones I have used before! Let’s just say that I usually have it by my feet under the desk and this was not an option, as it gets pretty hot! It is safe to keep on, at least I have not had any issues and it was lovely to walk into a toastie room every morning, not once did it malfunction either and it is easy to control too! Basically, it is as safe and solid as houses and gets the job done! The only thing I cannot comment on is how expensive it may be to run, as I am not the one paying the bill….the employer does, but.. I presume it did not break the bank, as I have not heard anything from the bosses LOL!
This radiator is really quick to heat up. Within just 2-3 minutes you can feel the device warm up and gets to set operating temperature rapidly. It has simple user friendly control with clear digital temperature display. It also comes with a handy remote control.it would be useful if there were a place to keep the remote on the radiator so it does not get lost as it’s relatively small. The product is really easy to assemble and attach the feet. The only very slight downside is that the hooks for the cable tidy are too close to the feet, making it difficult to wind the cable. The radiator looks stylish, and give out plenty of heat in a short period of time
