Allows me to access a memory stick or external drive from my Samsung phone. Great for transferring files to or from phone or working on existing documents when I am away without access to a PC.

It’s an adaptor and does what it’s supposed to do. I wanted something to be able to connect my wireless mouse that uses a USB on my new MacBook Air and it does exactly that.

I bought this adapter as my MacBook Pro only has USB-C sockets and I need to connect a standard USB dongle for my wireless headphones.

The wireless dongle worked straight away after connecting it to the USB adapter and my headphones paired with no problems at all.

Happy with this and would recommend it.

As I have type C plugs and chargers now for phone and ipad but a USB lead for charging , this makes it easy for me to use the USB chargers with the type c plug. Great bit of kit.

I bought this because the Amazon app store doesn’t have the Panasonic image app to get photos off my camera to transfer them to my kindle 10… This lead works great! I was unsure if it would fit but it does and it’s very easy to use. It won’t fit iPhone and iPad but it does fit my Motorola e30. Different kind of plug. It’s a very handy lead to have! Makes things easier when certain apps aren’t available for your device and as far as I know you can attach usb sticks to transfer and save files. Great! Very happy with my purchase.

Great product, not that cheap but other than the fact that it costs more than it should in my opinion, it’s a nice solution to my problem of having a USB-A headset. I just plug it to the converter and it works really well, sometimes doesn’t let me use the volume wheel and sometimes it has weird glitches but on rare occasions, and honestly the glitches do not annoy me at all

Purchased to use alternative cables with the charger that comes with the later iPads – they only provide a charger that outputs as a USB C.
This cable allows me to use any other cable of my choosing since it converts that USB C to a standard USB plug.
This way I can charge any device from this Apple charger.
I am not sure if I still get the quick charge speed by using this adapter but overall the quality is very good and it looks like it would last a good long time.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI specifically bought this adapter to connect fast USB devices with a traditional USB A cable, to my new laptop which only has USB C connections. Other things I tried were not giving USB-3 speeds (so my external SSD ran an 25MBytes/sec instead of ~300) – the SS logo and 3.1 Gen 1 means it should get 5 Gigabits/sec throughput.
The first time I plugged it in Windows 11 said in devices “Device can perform faster when connected to USB 3”, and I got 25MBytes per second

Every time since, the Windows 11 has marked the drive as “Connected to USB 3” and I’ve got full speed. I’ve tried connecting in different orders (plugging into the computer and then plugging the drive in, or connecting to the drive cable and then plugging into to the computer) and I can’t make that initial glitch re-occur. So just a tip for anyone not getting the expected speed – unplug and plug in in again 🙂

So, it *does* do exactly what it claims to do, it’s not expensive – but it doesn’t look or feel cheaply made .
