Good piece of equipment.
At first look I thought this is not going to cut the mustard, but upon using that went out the window.
Works well, and durable, also good to the hand.
As a tradesman and recently had all my dewalt tools stolen I was looking for a cheap replacement kit to get me through short term until I could afford to replace my dewalt tools, I came across this brand thinking I’ll take the risk with it been so cheap and was unbelievably surprised by the performance of all there cordless tools, they perform just as good as my old tools for a fraction of the price.
I’m in no rush to replace Denali, just wish they had a cordless planer too.
Super build quality and heavy duty. Easy to hold and smooth operation. Energy efficient and long lasting battery life
This drill is Lightweight. It has an instant stop feature, Ideal for around the home for rawplugs and General DIY. It reverses too and is easy to use and charge. Good quality drill.
This is like a normal rotary hammer drill but takes SDS+ drill bits.
It only has the two modes drill/screw and drill/hammer and what is also a bit odd is you get the hammering action all the time rather than when applying pressure on the drill bit.
No chisel mode with a SDS+ chisel bit.
It has no high/low gear option (it has variable speed from trigger) and has a brushed motor rather than brushless motor technology which is becoming more common now.
It has a work light which comes on before the motor starts.
The battery charger is physically very large and the UK plug is fitted with a 13 amp fuse rather than a 3 amp fuse to protect the thin mains lead.
Extra battery packs are available from the amazon website.
My smallest SDS+ drill bit is 5mm and I used this to make some holes for external wall lights.
The drill works fine but is nothing special other than the SDS+ chuck if you have loads of SDS+ drills.
A nice little all rounder, this rotary hammer does a great job of drilling through bathroom tiles for installing toilet roll holders etc.
in the box you get the rotary hammer, a battery and a charger. The hammer is heavy even without the battery, and even more so with it. It definitely needs two hands to steady and hold. No drill bits come in the set, which would’ve been nice, although I have plenty. The battery comes partly charged, which is nice. It also has a battery level indicator button, which is one of its best features.
Overall, easy to use and quick to charge. Recommend.
The Denali Hammer Drill comes nealty packaged with the drill, battery, charger pack and instructions. The charger is well put together and both the battery and charger have notifications on them to let you know when it’s charged. The lithium battery didn’t take long to charge and once fully charged it goes into standby. Directly on the battery you can also check the status by pressing the small battery icon.
Slotting the battery on to the drill is simple, just clicks straight in place. The trigger feels good with nice resistance allowing easy control, on releasing the trigger you will see some sparks inside the little window to the rear as it has an electric brake, this allows the drill to stop very quickly. It has forward and reverse control, keyless chuck and controls for drill/clutch. The drill also has 2 speeds and overall feels very nicely balanced. There is also a small bright LED which is very handy when in use.
I am no DIY expert when it comes to drills, I only occasionally use them when required, but personally I really like this, and for jobs around the house it’s perfect. It’s not too heavy and feels good quality, certainly better than the old drill I have that it’s replacing. I have used a couple of times so far and this drill has had no issues whatsoever dealing with the task in hand. Although it’s a little more expensive than some of the cheaper alternatives out there I do believe this is a great product.
