A nice webcam with integrated privacy shutter, stand, microphone, and removable USB cable. The software changeable FOV is a nice touch.
Bought as an alternative to a temperamental 920e, so far I can’t fault it.
This item has been a game-changer for me. The quality is unparalleled, and it functions perfectly. The attention to detail in both the product and the packaging was remarkable. I highly recommend this product to anyone.
An upgrade from what I had, and a good choice. Compact and with the privacy shutter helps keep those prying eyes away. Good picture quality in HD mode sharp and detailed. Was 60 at the time of purchase so good price too.
I purchased this to help step up videos I was recording, its not only a lot better in quality, but the software that you can use with it is really useful to help fine-tune the video colours etc. Would recommend to anyone wanting to use this for WFH.
Anker are swiftly becoming a brand that I seek out when buying electrical items now, I rate them in the same kind of class as established brands such as Sony and Apple. They really put great care and craft into their product design, and take care of the little things too like sensible configuration utilities, premium packaging and clear instruction manuals. I found this camera perfect, with super crisp picture quality. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this if you’re looking for a webcam for skype/Teams/Whatsapp on the PC.
Impulse buy to help with my home office set up. My budget 720p logi camera was ok but I wanted one I could use a zoom function as that one left me looking too small and far away in Ms teams calls. This camera is great the 2k image quality looks really good and it adjusts to compensate for room darkness. You do need the app to change between the three zoom settings but this installed without any problems and is easy to use. Not cheap but well worth it for me
Great camera, really decent sound. Loads of features like auto focus and shutter. Unfortunately it shows too much details, like the wrinkles in my shirt which aren’t that flattering
Would recommend!
Out of the box the quality is ok. Low light is not compensated and I found the image too sharp.
With a bit of adjustments from the Anker app (for mac) I found the quality superb. So make sure to install it cause the camera alone isn’t that great.
Anker products continue to surprise me with their quality.
Have been using a logitech Web cam for years with no issues but it died so had to replace it. I thought I’d try this one instead of the same logitech I bought 7 years ago and it is surprisingly good.
Would recommend.
Have been working from home more.
Needed to replace a 10 year old HD Logitech camera
Works great, the 3 different viewing angles are good and the quality is just want i would expect.
My iMac built in iSight camera is shockingly bad in a slightly dark room, and it was unsuitable for work calls. Grabbed a highly recommended Logitech C920 Pro for double the price of this one and nothing seemed to detect it. Returned the Logi and took a punt on the Anker having loved their power banks and earphones in the past. Really happy with it, no software or drivers needed and it’s auto detected by Zoom & Meet. Rests nicely on top of the iMac despite the curved back of the display – also has a tripod mount. Solid in low light and sharp as a tack. Potentially overkill at 2K resolution (Google Meet limits you to 720p) but I’m happy. Given it 4 stars only because the autofocus drifts sometimes and the focal length is a bit wide for my liking – you can crop in and set the crop as the default view, but you lose quality in doing so which is mildly annoying. Anker’s pricing always amazes me though, great product.
Wonderful low light.
Great resolution
Really pleased and a huge upgrade from my last two Logitechs (that were more costly)
Best one ye
The unit feels very, very sold and made to a very high standard and belies the fact it cost me less than 50 with an Anker discount. I particularly love the built-in privacy shutter and the overall look and design of the web cam. It feels MUCH better than more expensive web cams including my Logitech Brio 500.
The image quality for the most part is excellent. It is very sharp and clear, with good contrast, colour and exposure – much better than all of the webcams I have owned or tested under 120. However the zoom can be a little inconsistent. More often than not, it nails focus really well but at other times it mis-focuses enough that the image looks soft. To fix this, I just wave a hand in front of the camera to ‘force’ it to refocus. On some rare occasions, it just doesn’t focus on my face. I suspect this is caused by the fact that I work against a white wall/background.
I love the 3 zoom levels but please note this is a digital rather than a true optical zoom so the picture is just being magnified and the image quality is being sacrificed when you use a field of view setting outside of the normal focal length. However this feels like a harsh not pick since pretty much every other webcam within this price range and even above, do the same thing.
The software is intuitive to use but the colour and brightness settings don’t always seem to transfer correctly to Microsoft Teams.
For me, the big downside is the mic. No one should expect great sound from a built-in mic but I would expect something on a par or better than my laptop mic. The sound from the Anker C200 is quite harsh and very digital sounding. It does a great job in picking up details and in terms of amplification, but voices do not sound natural at all. Setting the mic to directional rather than Omni-directional does improve things but it still some way off sounding great. What is excellent however, is the noise cancellation feature – it is almost like witchcraft in terms of how well it works. Perhaps the harsh, digital sound quality is a by product of the noise cancellation software?
For most people the mic will be good enough, but if you do a lot of presenting or video calls, then you might be better off getting a dedicated mic or web cam with a better mic (the Logitech Brio 500 has an amazing mic).
My last and final nit pick is that the clip isn’t wide enough to fit on my BenQ 27 inch, 4K monitor so the web cam is just balancing on the top of the monitor.
I wanted to love this web cam. I could forgive the minor auto-focus and clip issues but the mic quality is a real deal breaker for me. If they improve this element then I think they’ll have the best web cam on the market below 150.
Good webcam for the price, too bad it doesn’t have any software to adjust settings of the camera itself besides being able to adjust them in Zoom or your meeting application, would have been great to set it up yourself like wide angle etc. Otherwise great quality and definitely value for money!
Picture is sharp quality camera for the money, well worth the purchase, only negative is the manually lens to cover, But worth the money for the quality picture you get.
Bought this as a trial to replace my laptop camera. First impressions are good build quality, and a very straight forward setup.
Feedback from video calls is very good, with the picture being crisp and clear.
I don’t use the audio features, so can;t comment on the mic etc, but I am more than happy with everything else.
Needed a camera after buying a Mac Studio, looked around at all the reviews, this came up on the last set of reviews. Looked at the reviews on Amazon, thought I’d give this a go as many cameras don’t fully support full software, especially on M1 Apple silicone. As I’ve bought an Anker Soundcore Bluetooth speaker and loved that, this hasn’t disappointed either. Plug in, download software, adjust to your own needs. This past week client’s have said all clear picture and sound, so I’m happy.
While my previous webcam wasn’t great the upgrade to this was incredible and it performs amazingly
You immediately see a difference between laptop camera and this one, much clearer and crisp. I use it on zoom calls and loom videos. Ideal for money
This webcam is 5 star hands down.
I’ve purchased webcam’s in the 100 – 130 range and this Anker webcam blows them out of the water.
2k quality really shines through, ultra sharp and the camera comes with 3 variable FOV angles that you can switch between being 95, 78 and 65.
Software is pretty decent, it’s basic but gives you what you need (brightness, sharpness, saturation and contrast ratio) plus some auto features.
I’ve attached some screenshots so you can see the quality, i have no ring lights set up just natural light from the window.
I am using this camera on a Mac Pro 2019 with Mac OS 13.2.1 installed. Great picture quality and I like the lens security. Can’t fault it. The software works well too.
The camera has great picture quality, it’s well-built, and I love the fact that I can adjust the viewing angles so that I don’t look very far away when I’m on Zoom or other virtual meeting platforms. My only concern is that the auto-focus can take some time to adapt (only a couple of seconds) compared to other webcams that I’ve owned in the past. Still, I’m very happy with this purchase for the price I’ve paid for i
The Anker PowerConf C200 2K Webcam is a good choice for those who are looking for a reliable and easy-to-use webcam. This camera is equipped with a high-quality lens that captures video in stunning 2K resolution, making it ideal for video calls, meetings, and live streaming.
One area where the Anker PowerConf C200 2K Webcam falls short, however, is its low-light performance. In dimly lit rooms or environments, the camera struggles to capture clear and well-lit video, resulting in grainy and pixelated images. This can be a significant drawback for those who frequently use their webcam in low-light conditions.
Despite this limitation, the Anker PowerConf C200 2K Webcam is still a solid choice for those who need a reliable and high-quality webcam. The camera is easy to set up and use, and it comes with a variety of useful features, such as a built-in microphone that provides clear and natural-sounding audio, making it perfect for remote workers, students, or anyone who needs to attend virtual meetings or events.
Overall, the Anker PowerConf C200 2K Webcam is a good choice for those who value video quality and ease of use. While its low light performance may be a concern for some, this camera still delivers solid performance and is a great option for anyone in need of a reliable webcam.
Very good image quality especially in low light, very wide angle. USB C connection is handy.
The microphone is clear but a little tinny in sound quality. No body else comments on the sound quality, but I just don’t like it.
Overall great camera if you have another microphone.
Really like this webcam, originally bought the more expensive cousin to this one. But returned that as it was HUGE. This has a good low profile and does the job – only thing I would improve is that due to where my desk is the camera could do with better auto-exposure settings. Not a great amount in the app which is a shame – that’s the only thing I would improve. Having a visible camera cover is also really reassuring….!!
Really nice compact camera.
Field of view can be adjusted using the software.
Auto focus also works fine but could be quicker or you can do it manually.
The only not good thing is it does not move left and right, only goes up and down. Hence 4 stars.
Really happy with picture quality though.
Even better than Logitech 925 webcam.
Bought this as a travel webcam for use on business calls from hotel rooms. Good in all respects except would have been nice if a case had been included. Otherwise, small and good enough. Especially pleased with choice of FOV choices.
It fits the bill for my needs. Very clear picture. Auto focus works, don’t know how fast I am looking at quite a static view. Auto colour balance is excellent for such a cheap device. The only downside was needing to use Windows/Mac to upgrade firmware. As a Linux user I prefer not to search for my Windows keys just to upgrade firmware on a device. This fact lost the camera 0.5 star any other issues and I would have marked the ratings down to four star! So Linux users beware, my advice would be to steer clear if you have no WIndows/Mac access, a shame as it is an excellent camera and it works on Linux without issues.
I bought this to replace an old iPhone I had setup as a webcam, driver issues and instability forced me to look for a dedicated webcam.
Based on all the reviews on the C200 – I wasn’t disappointed. The image quality is perfectly adequate for work Zoom/Team meetings; it performs well with dim lighting conditions or high contrast situations.
What surprised me the most is the quality of the microphone, it’s very good. For my calls I use this mic and an external bluetooth speaker, there’s no feedback (audio echo) from the external speaker and I’ve had no complaints from my colleagues regarding voice/audio quality.
When the shutter cover is closed (blocking the camera) – the mic is still active which can be a pro or con but it suits me.
A lot of reviews do focus on image quality / accuracy etc… For basic webcam functionality for Work meetings where you want to look relatively sharp/visible in all lighting conditions – this webcam is brilliant (and so is the buit-in mic).
