Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI began using this product a while back and dont normally write reviews unless something is extremely good or bad. However, having seen this mentioned on television by a dermatologist I thought I would give it a go and am a convert. I use this for removing my make-up and also as a night time moisturiser and it works beautifully. I used to buy serums and moisturisers and spent so much more on those products but I cant see any difference in the effects since using Aproderm. No brainer for me. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsed for excema and I use fire lighting in my job a lot so cannot use paraffin products. Good thickness ensures good coverage doesn’t make it go away but keeps it down and manageable. Pump heavy but dispenses a sensible amount. No smell and hopefully eco friendly.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersCan’t recommend it enough. I have used so many over the years and this stands out!
    1. I have mild eczema and this keeps it at bay and softens my skin better than La Roch and other things dermatologists have suggested.
    2. The scent is a but medicinals but it is vegan and cruelty free so i dont care!

Vare careful its so good you might want to slather it all over you all the time but you only need a little bit and the bottle lasts ages. Bye bye E45

I have very dry, reactive, itchy menopausal skin and very few moisturisers help. This one, so far, seems to be doing a pretty good job, although I’m not totally keen on the tiny hard bits of oatmeal in the cream, which can irritate if you try to rub the moisturiser into your ski

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI tried this cream after seeing it suggested on the Happyskin site to go with their clothes. Started using it before the vests and the difference after ridding my 8 month old’s skin of paraffin is actually unbelievable. We have had loads of paraffin creams, steroid creams and antibiotics from the doctor which hadn’t worked. We still have a way to go, but so impressed and is worth a go for someone with eczema for the price of a bottle of this. I do wish it was easier to disperse into bathwater, and the pump misses a bit of cream at the bottom, but my boy isfonally improving and I am so happy.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI have psoriasis which is very upsetting. This wont get rid of it but it makes it feel a lot better, Until I find some other magic potion this will do.

The only thing worth mentioning is that when it stops pumping there is still a considerable amount left. If I cut it open it easily lasts another week. The dispenser probs needs a redesign.

This stuff is the business. Not too greasy, not to runny! Moisturises the skin beautifully.

Having used an oat based cream on other areas with great success i thought I would try this for my itchy legs.
Really works far better than the well known one and half the price as well.
Initial smell reminded me of an instant porridge breakfast cereal but soon wears off

Its quite liquid in consistency, easily absorbed with no obvious residue on skin surface. It immediately improves appearance of dry skin patches. I also use on the soles of my feet to keep them supple, as i easily get dry wrinkly heels and tough skin. Applied at bedtime i find it better than any foot cream.

You could see the difference in just a couple of applications of the cream, the skin was less red and sore. Within a few days it was barely noticable. Bought the 100ml tube as well so can take it with me.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis stuff is simply brilliant. I have psoriasis and this cream had reduced my plaques by 80% when used in conjunction with the prescribed synthetic vitamin D ointment. I have recommended it to several people with eczema who all reported much improved skin condition. Thank you!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis cream is excellent for my needs and is probably the best non prescribed cream of this type I have used. My eczema seems to be much more manageable when using this, even calming flare ups quicker than other creams. The one issue is that there is a slight smell to the cream which can be noticeable depending on where you apply it. However for me personally it is a small price to pay for the benefits the cream offers.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersSo I never leave reviews because I never have enough time in the day and to be honest when I do I have better things to do.

BUT, I just had to write one for this. This cream was recommended to me by a friend who has a baby with sever eczema. My 9 month old has also been suffering over the last 3-4month with it progressively worsening and appearing in more places. We have tried alsorts from aveeno baby, aveeno for severe dry skin, e45, cetraben to prescribed ointments and steroids from the doctor. The only thing that helped initially was the steroid but this soon wore off and it’s only for short term use.

I bought this only 2 days ago. I bought the set so the lotion and the ointment. We used it for the first time last night and I can honestly say so far to effects are visibly noticeable.

    This is what we did:

We used the lotion in the bath as a wash (we stopped using soap a while back). Once bathed and dried I then used the lotion again and massaged all over his body.

We then used the ointment which is more like a balm/wax. It’s very similar to coconut oil in its natural form. Two spatulas are provided and can be washed in the sink/dishwasher as normal. We used this in the specific areas that are suffering with the eczema breakout. It is very greasy so unless having a bad flare up or in an area which can be covered I personally would only use this for night time.

Come morning and there is no more redness. The rough, sand paper like areas feel very smooth and moisturised which we haven’t been able to achieve no matter what we have used.

I then used the lotion only for the morning and repeated our nighttime routine again. A couple of the smaller patches are hardly noticeable and this is only 24 hours usage!

I really wish I took before photos now. But if like me you are struggling this is definitely worth a try.

I read some reviews that the smell is bad, to be honest I don’t find that at all. Once on the skin I can’t smell anything.

20 for the set is definitely worth it as the tubes are large. Specifically the ointment as a small amount goes such a long way!! I can see this lasting a long time and only the lotion needing to be replaced next time. But again that’s a large tube too so I can see that lasting a whole also.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a wonderful product my skin is so sensitive prescription medication cure one but causes 2 others this is the only product that has saved me weeks of non sleep, even worked on my face with no reaction, I cannot say how grateful I am for this product my allergy prone skin is clearing up a treat. Legs, arms, chest and face in less than two weeks.

Paraffin tends to dry out my eczema prone skinand this might be the only paraffin free cream out there!

I have found it to clear up my eczema without the use of corticosteroids when used daily – this is if my eczema is mild to moderate.

Overall, such a great cream! Very moisturizing and stops itching almost immediately for me.

The smell isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. It doesn’t smell great, it smells a bit chemically to me but it’s mild and dissipates after a couple of minutes.

Thanks for making such a great cream aproderm!!!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersBought this trying to replace Diprobase as that old, tried and tested, reliable formula has been tampered with by its makers and is now a torture device for eczema sufferers.
Aproderm cream is OK. It doesn’t itch and sting like the “for itchy skin” formulas of the new Diprobase and E45. I have eczema and the devil’s own post-chemo / radiotherapy itching. It soothes this but only for a short time.
It seems to melt into a liquid much more that the more chemical based creams. The more liquified it becomes, the less effective it is. The creamier a product is, the better it works on my skin.
The worst thing about the cream is the smell. At best, it smells like you’ve left rolled oats in a jar on a shelf in full sun for a long time. At worst, it smells like an old unwashed goat that’s been left in full sun for a long time.
For the smell alone, I shall be looking for another product. I won’t buy it again unless I’m desperate and don’t plan to go out in public. Even my mother’s Chanel No 5 doesn’t mask the homely, goaty smell.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy child has eczema and I’ve tried loads of different creams, lotions etc and found this recently to be the best for her “daily use” we use it twice daily and it keeps her skin moisturised the whole time between applications. Her skin recently had had a flare up due to the colder weather (ordered this) and thankfully this stopped her skin from getting any worse and helped the flare up calm down. A little bit pricey but the bottle lasts ages depending on how often it’s used/how much is needed.
    Will be buying again.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI always suffered with severe eczema as a child, and had to have all the meds to get rid of it, now for some reason it has decided to come back in my 30s. I’d been moisturising non stop, but nothing was helping, I thought it best to get a proper cream for it.
The patches that had appeared, cleared up after a week of use! Very happy!
I didn’t get the burning sensation that others have mentioned, but I think this is because my eczema was only just reappearing so although the patches were big, they hadn’t gone to the severe version yet. The cream states not to rub in, so I gently swiped it over, in one direction.
It does say there’s no fragrance, but there is a slight smell, I think it’s a faint smell of oats and whatever else is in this. I didn’t really like it too much, I wouldn’t call it a sour smell as such, but I could definitely smell it. I tried going over with another moisturiser, but it didn’t fully mask the smell sadly! I think I just have a strong sense of smell.
I would recommend this cream, but would definitely recommend being more gentle if your eczema is more severe.

I have tried an incredible amount of various products to try and relieve my itchiness/redness caused by scratching. I’ve noticed with other products, they all sting upon applying or 10 seconds after. You may think I’ve just applied it to a recent open scratch wound from all the scratching I do, but no.

I went 6 weeks with this product and whenever I scratched or came near water, I’ve always moisturised afterwards with this and it has stopped me from scratching overall. I’ve also seen my red patches gradually lessen! After 6 weeks, I ran out of this product and wanted to try another one to see how that would work in comparison. I just got that today and it’s just like any other product for me; was stinging and made me scratch as soon as I applied it. Uff, do I regret on not getting this one as soon as I ran out!

I am going back to this wonderful product and hitting that subscribe button!!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy son (13 months) has been suffering with inflamed, itchy red skin which becomes dry after redness calms for over 6-7 months. (GP guessing eczema). He was prescribed so many creams and steroids, most of which did not help. Hydrocortisone did help initially but long term made his skin worse when we stopped using it (withdrawal and red skin syndrome).
I gave up with the GP and did my own research and read reviews on alternative treatments/creams I could try to give my son some relief. THIS WORKS.

At first I found it quite watery and was doubtful that it would be moisturising or penetrate the problem skin but within 2 days of use his skin was looking better and smoother. First few uses did sting as it made his skin red but it was worth it as it soothed his itching. The oat definitely helps. I am using this cream along side Centraben and Diprobase which I alternate but this one, this made the difference.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIf like myself, you are worried for your child’s skin when eczema does not get better, only worse and you do not want to use steroids due to their harshness and skin thinning then please consider trying this. I have spent in the hundreds of pounds on different creams, ointments, emollients, cleansers and bath additives which have had little or no effect. Eczema has good and bad days and it is important to ultimately aim for trying to find the cause/triggers rather than focusing solely on treating it, but in the mean time this cream is excellent particularly paired with oat baths.

It is the silkiest feeling cream I have ever tried, does not leave an oily or sticky residue, has a lovely natural scent and feels extremely moisturising. After only 3 days of using this on my child probably 6 times a day and daily oat baths, the eczema has gone down massively and in some places disappeared altogether.

Highly recommend, so much so that I have put all the creams away and only have this out.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersOmg absolutely brilliant, I could cry. Like another reviewer I’d had a ppd reaction and a puce face which I slapped sudocrem on which worked. Two weeks later I tried 100% natural Henna and Indigo. This time horrendous rash on face and neck, managed to convince pharmacist to give me steroid cream 1% for a week. Rash itching red, chlorphenamine to get rash down. Still no joy. Cerave suggested by pharmacist still raw. So I looked online and was going for Diprobase which my child had as a baby for excema. Then I saw this…within a day the itching had stopped, rash toned down. It’s expensive but actually don’t forget a normal face cream is in a 50ml tube so actually cheaper. I use on my face and neck and arms. Obviously no SPF in it but I can’t risk a reaction so just stay out of sun or use hat. It’s a lotion so you don’t need much. Nothing to react to. It also says may sting on it..it didn’t sting at all for me on a huge rash that was giving me needling prickly pain. You have nothing to lose by trying this. Read the description but it’s free from basically everything. Another cheaper tip: grind up oats porridge and put water with them and create face mask, similar calming properties. Put whole oats in an old clean pop sock and tie a knot it and put under running tap in bath, the milky water will sooth. Basically this cream is a more convenient form of oats. No paraffin in it which can be flammable on skin. I recommend this. Let me know if you found helpful, I can’t bear to think of other people suffering as well so if this helps anyone else, I’ll be happy. Brilliant product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOur 10 month old son had a sudden outbreak of ezcema which we applied sudocrem to and it was healing.. We didn’t want to keep using that so tried a cream called Oilatum junior ezecma cream bought on amazon and got the most awful reaction to it. Our poor son’s neck was so red and inflamed and even had pus coming out of it after using that cream. It must have some very concerning ingredients in it because I’ve never seen anything like that.
We switched back to sudocrem which immediately helped sooth the area and then have bought this cream which we’ve used for around 3 days.
It really appealed as it doesn’t contain paraffin or parabens.
The cream has been great so far, is easy to apply and easily absorbed. Our son’s ezcema is noticeably improving after each application and doesn’t seem to be itchy anymore. The red dry skin rash on his back and dry skin on his face looks so much better too. It is a big bottle and will last for ages. Would highly recommend.
